Work Text:

A camera crew was filming two males in their early thirties who are about to start the newest season of the hottest reality show ever! They were filming on a dock of a beautiful looking island that was somewhat surrounded by fog.
"Hello and welcome everyone to a brand new season! As always, I'm Trevor McGregor and with me is my co-host and the best fiance anyone could ask for: Derek Johnson!" the man with tan skin beamed with excitement. "Why thank you, Trevy!" Derek said with a smile as Trevor kissed his hand. "Yes, loyal viewers we are back for season 6 of Disventure Camp! You might have noticed...we aren't at Camp Tipiskaw...nor are we at Stawaki Carnival. Well...why don't you tell them, Trev?" Derek revealed as he handed the explanation to his co-host. "Gladly! You see everyone, after the TREMENDOUS success of last season, the network allowed us a bigger budget for this season; and with that budget, we knew that we should explore uncharted territories for our newest season! So say goodbye to our former locales of North America...and say konnichiwa to Taijitu Island! A beautiful island off the coast of Japan!" Trevor revealed with glee as the camera panned out to reveal a beautiful island with plenty trees, a gorgeous blue ocean, mountains, lots of flora and many animals.
"That's right everyone! We are heading east for a brand new location for a brand new season! Rules remain roughly the same." Derek started. "Eighteen competitors will be split up into teams of two and compete in various challenges. Team that wins the challenge gets a reward for their campsite while the losers will have to vote out one of their own!" Derek continued. "One by one, until only one remains left and the ultimate winner! This time, these people will not be competing for a measly million bucks. Not even two or three million..but for a grand prize of FIVE...MILLION...DOLLARS!" Derek finished. "What campers will duke it out this season? And what friendships or rivalries with form? And what does this new location have in store?" Trevor asked rhetorically.
"Find out right now on the premiere of...Disventure Camp!" both hosts shouted with glee.

A fairly big sized boat was carrying nine contestants of varying ages, gender and ethnicities. It was making its way to Taijitu Island. One camper is sitting down on a chair on the boat, writing in a blue journal. This camper was...fairly young. He was of African descent and had a buzzcut hairstyle and green eyes. He had a sunhat on that was tan with a blue cloth on it. His outfit consisted of a red-green plaid dress shirt, blue jeans and black work boots. He also has a locket around his neck. He was approached by an older contestant who had lightly tanned skin. The contestant was male, had wavy hair dyed in a peach color and beautiful golden eyes that were covered by grey rimmed glasses. He was wearing a peach-white tank top, blue jean shorts and white running shoes. He also had a beautiful silver bangle on both wrists.
"Let me guess: writing your last will and testament before the show starts?" the older boy joked. His voice was flamboyant with a tinge of sass but his demeanor was friendly. "Oh no. I am writing a letter to my family back home to tell them all about my journey! I cannot wait!" the young boy said with enthusiasm. His accent sounded African and was a bit thick. "That's cute. Where are you from?" the tall one asked. "I am from Benin City in Nigeria! My name is Chuckwei. What about you?" Chuckwei beamed. "I'm Arnold and I'm from Oahu, Hawai'i." Arnold answered. "Oh wow! Hawai'i? That's amazing! Can you tell me about it?" the Nigerian asked enthusiastically. Arnold smiled. "Ok, but how about AFTER we settle in on the island. Alright, buddy?" Arnold suggested. "Yes, please! I can't believe it...my first new friend!" Chuckwei excllaimed happily as he wrote in his journal as Arnold watched with a warm smile.
*flash transition*
At another part of the ship, a teenage boy of Asian descent was sitting at a table and looking through a thick book and writing down something in a notebook. He took off his black glasses to clean them. He was dressed in a black shirt with a picture of Bigfoot on it, yellow sweatpants with black pawprints on it and black sneakers. He also had a white beanie over his black curly hair. "This is going to be the biggest investigation of my life!" the boy declared to nobody in particular. "What investigation?" came a sweet sounding female voice with a French accent. The voice belonged to a cute girl with ginger hair, cute freckles and baby blue eyes. She was dressed in a white t-shirt under an unzipped tan hoodie, black sweatpants and pink shoes. She also had a pink beret on. "Are you a journalist?" she asked curiously. The boy was blushing, but she didn't seem to notice. "W-well, I'm a type of journalist. I am what's known as a 'cryptozoologist'. I investigate things like UFO sightings, the paranormal and see if...unusual creatures exist." he answered with a small stammer. "Ooo! How exciting! I've never heard of zat! What are you looking for on ze island?" the girl complimented as she leaned into look at the book he was reading; which was all about reported cyptid sightings around Japan. "W-well, according to this book; Taijitu Island is said to home a few cryptids...including the famous Japanese Kappa! A humanoid turtle that has a strange love for cucumbers." the boy said matter-of-factly. "If I'm lucky enough to find one...the whole world will know the name Garrett Kageyama!" Garrett proudly proclaimed. "Well...if you do find it...you can definitely count on Annalise Moreau for a comment or two, haha." Annalise says with a wink. Garrett chuckles while blushing as he shows her more of his research.
*flash transition*
Watching them from a distance was an elderly black man. He wore a grey bucket hat atop his faded black hair, red suspenders holding up his blue jeans and a light blue t-shirt. He also stood holding a brown walking cane and he also had a nice thin grey mustache. "Hahaha...young love...reminds me of my Candace and I." The man said to himself as he reminisced. He started to walk over towards the railing to go look at the ocean but..his walking cane hit something...or rather someONE.
*thud*
"Hey! Watch where you're going, old timer!" the person yelled in anger. The girl looked around fifteen years old. She was Caucasian and had blonde hair, blue eyes, red lipstick, had her nails painted red and had gold earrings. Her outfit consisted of a hot pink tube top, blue jean shorts and white flats. "Oh I'm so sorry, young'n. I should have paid more attention to my surroundings!" the old man apologized. "Ugh! Why are old geezers like you even allowed on reality shows? Shouldn't you be in hospice waiting to die already?" the mean girl berated him. The old man went from polite...to rightfully angry. "Now listen here, missy! I'll have you know I'm nowhere NEAR needing to be in no damn care facility! I certaintly don't need brats like you treating your elders like a nuisance." the old man barked. "Why you old sack of-!" the bratty teen started. "Katelyn! There you are!" an bubbly sounding voice came approaching. The arguing duo turned to see a cute blonde teen with curly hair, green eyes, fair skin, freckles...and in a wheelchair! Her outfit consisted of a light pink t-shirt with white hearts on it, a white skirt, and cute purple shoes. "I came out of the bathroom and you disappeared! I see you found someone to talk to!" the girl beamed, not knowing about the argument. "Oh...uh...yeah. We were just...talking about...the great view of the sea!" Katelyn lied. "I totally agree! Nice to meet you, mister! I'm Maddie! Katelyn here is my best friend!" Maddie informed him. "Oh...well, that's nice to hear. I'm Maurice, but everyone calls me Mauri." Mauri introduced himself. "Hey, uh, Maddie, let's go see if we can spot any dolphins or seagulls across the sea." Katelyn suggested as she started walking away from Mauri and gestured her friend to go with her. "Ooh! Coming! Talk to you soon, Mr. Maurie!" Maddie said happily as she went towards the railing with her friend. Mauri waved her back. As soon as they were far enough, Mauri shook his head. "Lord, help that sweet, sweet child." he muttered.
*flash transition*
At the front of the boat, a boy in his teens was staring out at the ocean while leaning against the railing. He was Caucasian and had messy black hair and brown eyes. He was plus-sized. He wore a long-sleeve purple shirt, black shorts, and black flip-flops. He also had a small visably healed scar on his forehead. He seemed...down. "Hiya! Nice to meet ya!" came a bubbly female voice. The female was a bit tall for a teenager. She had straight golden blonde hair, green eyes, and green earrings. She wore a blue t-shirt, a pink hoodie wrapped around her waist, blue jeans and green shoes. "Nice to meet you! I'm Alice." She happily introduced herself. "Oh...hey. I'm Marc." Marc said with a monotone voice. "C'mon...turn your frown upside down! You're gonna be on TV!" Alice tried to cheer him up. "And? I didn't necessarily want to come here." Marc stated. "Oh? Then why are you here?" the sweet girl asked. "Because I-...I...uh...was bored. Seemed like fun, i guess." Marc told her...though it wasn't true. Alice could tell it wasn't but decided not to press him for details. "Hmm. Yeah, fair enough." Alice just decided to agree as the two looked at the horizon.
*flash transition*
Another boat of the same size was aproaching from the opposite side of where the first boat was coming from. This boat also had the same type of contestants making their way to the island. One of these contestants was a man in his late forties to early fifties. He had short brown hair cut in a 'business' type style. He wore a dark blue golf shirt, tan golf shorts and white running shoes. He also wore a Rolex on his left wrist. "Ugh...c'mon damn boat. I don't wanna wait any longer to win the money!" the man grumbled. "Calm down! All the contestants are gonna likely arrive at the same time." a middle aged Caucasian woman in a red blouse and blue jeans scolded. She had red hair in a braid, red glasses, green eyes and red earrings. She also had a police-issue work belt. It held a registered firearm, handcuffs, a baton and her badge. "Sorry ma'am...I'm just desperate. My campaign manager suggested I do this show since my favorability is going down." the man explained. "Ohh...you're a politician?" the woman asked. "Yep! Senator in Wisconsin for the Republican Party. Name's Raymond Stanton." Raymond proudly stated. The woman hesitated before shaking his hand. "I'm Debbie Mitchell. I'm a police chief." Debbie told him. "Oh...I see." Raymond muttered. Raymond just walked away without a word, leaving Debbie in utter confusion.
Elsewhere on the boat, a teenaged male with dark skin was filming himself with his phone. He had black hair that was shaved in the back but had a nice tuft of hair dyed blue up front. He also had blue eyes and ear piecrings. He wore a blue dress shirt over a black t-shirt with a white skull and crossbones, dark green pants, black shoes and he had his right hand and wrist wrapped up in white bandaging. He was also smoking a cigarette. "Hey hey, my loyal fans! I'm en route to the new set of Disventure Camp! That's right! I got picked! Time to show these losers what's what, hahaha!" the teen boasted with a laugh. He ended the video and posted it on his social media. He was approached by a teen who was...honestly very tall. He seemed to be at least 6'5". The teenager had fair skin, black hair in a bowlcut and blue eyes. He wore a red shirt under a puffy blue and yellow winter jack, blue jeans and white Adidas shoes. "Hej! Trevligt att träffa dig!" the boy happily said in a European dialect. The dark skinned teen looked at him in confusion. "Sorry, buddy. I don't speak Klingon." he insulted. "It is not Klingon...it is Swedish. I said 'Hello. It's nice to meet you.' but...it's not your fault for not knowing." the Swede sheepishly said. "Whatever, dude." the rude boy shrugged. "Um...my name is Joshua...vat is your name?" Joshua asked politely. "Darrius...but it's not really gonna matter. You'll be gone soon anyways...hahaha." Darrius boasted. "Oh..um...ok then." Joshua quietly said as he walked away.
On the boat's second level was another male contestant who was...quite frankly tall. But unlike Joshua, he looked a bit...scarier. This contestant was lightly tanned white skin, a few cuts on his arms and one on his forehead (all were healed) and his fluffy brown jacket was kinda worn out. He was muscular, big, and taller than Joshua by around two inches which; which would make him 6'7". He had spiky dark blue hair, hazel eyes and a small bushy beard. His outfit consisted of a fluffy brown parka, a dark blue-dark green plaid button up shirt, brown overalls, and brown winter boots. He also had a big brown backpack on. The man gave a heavy sigh. "*sighh* I don't see point in this." he muttered to himself in a Russian accent.
*click*
He heard the sound of a phone taking a picture. He turned to where he heard the noise. He looked next to him and saw...a cute black girl. A very cute black girl. She had curly black hair, a pink headband with cat ears, white airpods in her ears and a pink handbag. She was wearing a fluffy pink winter coat (it was a bit big on her), matching sweatpants and pink-white running shoes.
*click* She took another picture of the island coming into view as the boat got closer.
The big Russian man didn't realize he was just sort of...staring at her. She turned to see if her picture came out right and finally saw the man. Instead of being creeped out or scared at the sight of a big random man staring at her...she smiled and waved very happily. The man waved at her. "Um...hello...my name is Vadik." He introduced himself awkwardly. The girl pulled out a notepad and wrote something down and showed it to him.
'Hi, Vadik! I'm Rosie! Nice to meet you!' it read. she also drew a smiley face on the notepad.
"It is very nice to meet you as well...but I must ask: why not use your words to speak?" the big Russian asked. The girl flipped to a new page and wrote down her response. 'I'm non-verbal. Even though I don't talk, I can still communicate and make new friends!' the notebook read. Vadik pondered after he read the words. He still had a serious look on his face. "Hmm. Wise words. You not being able to talk will make you target. I will be your ally. Protect you." Vadik told her bluntly. Rosie visibly beamed as she suddenly hugged him. She then brought him closer for a selfie. He had a surprised look in the picture...and a very faint blush.
Elsewhere on the boat, a Latina teen girl was doing push-ups while counting. "96...97..98..99...100! Alright...now to take a small break before the sit-ups." she muttered to herself. The latina was dressed in a dark blue hoodie, dark blue sweatpants, and white running shoes. She had hear black hair in a ponytail via a dark blue scrunchie. She pulled out a stainless steel water bottle from her duffle bag and started drinking from it. "Wow...that's impressive! I can't even do twenty without stopping." came a voice approaching from her left. The voice came from another teen girl who was of Italian descent. She had a pixie cut dyed silver, brown eyes, and a nose piercing. She wore a dark green tank top under a black leather jacket, ripped black jeans and black biker boots. "Gracias! I used to be in the same boat, but I was able to push through the pain and keep at it!" the girl replied. "That's so cool! I assume you're a personal trainer?" the punk-style girl asked. "Oh no! This is...more of something I'm doing for myself. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind! I'm Gabriella, by the way. But everyone just calls me 'Brie'." The fitness girl told her. "I'm Antonia, but everyone calls me 'Toni'...and I couldn't agree more." The two girls smiled at each other as Toni joined Brie in some yoga.
At the very front of the ship was a young adult female who was black. She had on a grey sweater vest, white blouse, black pants and black shoes. She also sported a grey fedora with a fake black rose pinned in it. She was...speaking into a tape recorder. "This is Jackie Ball, reporting from the seas around Taijitu Island." she spoke with a British accent. "I am about to arrive and begin my journey in Disventure Camp....these fools won't know what hit 'em." She said deviously as she ended her recording.

A short time later, the two boats both arrived at the island at the same time. Derek and Trevor were joined by loyal assistant, fan-favorite girl boss and good friend: Emily! The two were gathered on the beach and standing in front of two big circular carpets; one colored white and one colored black. Each carpet had a team flag next to it as well. The campers started walking towards the three. "Campers, glad to see you've finally arrived! Those coming in from the left will be on the White Team whilst those coming from the right will be on the Black Team!" Trevor revealed with excitement. "Here's some maps that will lead you to your team's campsites." Derek continued as he tossed two maps; one tied with a black string, the other with a white string. Debbie caught the map for her team while Arnold caught the map for his. "Make your way to your camps and get settled in! Also, just as a heads up: this season you will have cabins. One for boys and one for girls. Just a little gift to celebrate a new season." Emily informed everyone as they cheered. Everyone started walking with their luggage to their camps.
Garrett tapped Arnold on the arm. "Hey, do you mind if I take control of the map? I'm well experienced with reading maps from all sorts of new and unusual areas." he suggested. "By all means, go ahead!" Arnold said with a smile as he handed the boy the map. "Onward team! Follow me!" Garrett declared as he lead them to the west part of the island. "Oh you guys go on ahead, I need to tie my shoes!" Arnold yelled out as he crouched to the ground.
On the other team, Raymond overheard this and yelled out to his own team who were being lead by Debbie. "I'll catch up with you guys in a bit, I need to tie my shoes." Raymond said. This was a lie though. Raymond watched as both teams (sans Arnold) walk off. He saw the hosts and Emily walk off somewhere else. It was just him and Arnold.
Raymond took a deep breath before walking over to the boy. "Hello, Arnold...been a hot minute, eh?" the older man asked. Arnold finished tying his shoe...but paused as he seemed to...recognize the man. He calmed himself. "Oh...hello, Raymond." he greeted back but didn't look at him. "You sure have...grown since I last saw you. It must have been...what, 6 months?" Raymond pondered. "Actually...it's been four years." he retorted with a small grimace. "*whistle* Wow, really? Time sure does fly, huh?" Raymond commented. Arnold stood up. "Yeah...look I gotta catch up with my team. You should do the same." the Hawaiian told him. Arnold walked a few steps. "How's your mother?" Raymond asked abruptly. "...what?" the teen responded. "How...is she? Is she doing okay?" Raymond asked awkwardly. A silence fell.
.
.
.
"...I'm not doing this right now. I need to meet up with my team..." the boy said with an aloof tone. Arnold ran off in the direction his team walked off in. Raymond watched him with a sad look on his face before running off to meet with his own team.
*flash transition*
(Black Team campsite)
The members of the Black Team have now made it to their campsite (with Arnold now with them). The campsite consists of two small cabins; one reads 'boys' cabin' and the other 'girls' cabin'. There is a bonfire area with a fire pit, four logs for sitting and a machete.
"Hmm, not too shabby." Mauri commented. "Yeah. I thought it would have been a cabin...and nothing else." Maddie added. "Alright everyone, let's start putting our belongings up then we can come up with a potential game plan for the upcoming challenge." Mauri announced. "Wait...why should we take advice from you?" Katelyn asked, a bit rudely. "Well, I'm a baseball coach for some boys at the community center in my hometown. I know how to rally a group together." the elder man revealed. "Well...don't you think someone ELSE might be more qualified? someone like me?" Katelyn said with a smug grin. "And why you instead of the old guy?" Garrett asked. "Well, for starters, I'm young and hot so I can keep up with everyone AND I got the Leadership Award at cheerleading!" the mean girl boasted. "Wouldn't you agree, Maddie?" Katelyn nudged her friend. "You both have good points...but I'd like to hear other suggestions too." Maddie suggested to try and ease some tension. "Well...if I can suggest something...how about Chuckwei and Garrett be co-leaders? Chuckwei knows how to catch and cook animals for meals and Garrett knows how to get around unfamiliar territory." Arnold suggested. Chuckwei started to bounce with excitement. "Really? Me? Leader? You believe in me, Arnold?" the Nigerian kid asked. "Of course!" Arnold confirmed. "You have any objections, Garrett?" he asked the Japanese boy who was unpacking a camera from his bag. "Fine by me." Garrett shrugged. "That settles it then. Chuckwei and Garrett are the team leaders." Mauri declared.
*flash transition*
(Confessional: Katelyn)
"Where do these idiots get off?! I'm much more qualified to be leader than some child and a guy that believes in monsters and ghosts!" she ranted "*sigh* I'll just have to think of a way to make the 'leaders' seem untrustworthy. Haha...that won't be hard at all." she plotted with a smirk.

Annalise was putting up her clothes in a dresser when she noticed Maddie putting her own stuff away. Annalise made sure nobody else was around as she approached the girl. "Pardon me? You are Maddie, right? I'm Annalise." the French girl started. "I just have...something to ask." she continued. "If you are asking how I got up the stairs in a wheelchair, just know I learned a cool trick." Maddie responded. "Oh...uh...non. I was going to ask you about your friend, Katelyn." Annalise continued. "Um, I'm not trying to be mean but...how did you two become friends?" she asked honestly. "Oh! We met when I moved to San Diego in my freshman year of high school. I didn't know anybody and I was already worried about how my new peers would view me as 'the new girl in the wheelchair' but Katelyn got partnered with me in Chemistry and...we hit it off! We've been friends ever since." the sweet girl revealed with a smile. "That's very nice to hear...but I think everyone noticed how...prickly she is. You've noticed it too, no?" Annalise commented. "I think she's just putting on an act for the show. She really IS a sweet person. Just give her time." Maddie replied as she continued to unpack. Annalise went back to unpacking her own things but pondered to herself with a sad look on her face.
*flash transition*
(Confessional: Annalise)
"I am worried about Maddie. I think she's...how you say...'seeing things through rose colored glasses.' I just hope this optimism doesn't hurt her in the end." she monologued.

Marc was seen walking through the woods alone. He was sent by Chuckwei to gather materials for fire that night. "*sigh*...why did I come here?" Marc muttered to himself. He found some leaves and a few dead branches. "Hey Marc!" a cheerful voice called out. It was Alice. She was holding something circular and wooden. "Oh...hey. Whatcha got there?" the depressed boy asked. "Oh, Chuckwei made a make-shift pail out of a log! It was something he learned from his dad. So, he sent me to get water from a ravine he saw." Alice told him as she showed him the wooden pail; full of water. "Huh...that's pretty cool. Glad he's on our team." Marc said with a rare smile. "Hey, I think that's the first time you've smiled since we met. That's great!" Alice beamed. "Heh...yeah. I guess it is. You're enthusiasm is rubbing off on me." he complimented. Alice started to blush. "Oh...thank you, haha." she said as she rubbed her arm with a bashful look. "Hey...if you want, I could walk back with you...I-I mean...if you want." she asked timidly. Marc thought for a second. Then he looked at her with a smile. "Yeah...I'd like that, Alice." Marc told her. Her blush deepend. The both walked back to the campsite, holding hands.
*static transition*
"I didn't really wanna sign up for this thing. I had some...stuff go down two years ago and I've been battling depression ever since. I just kind of expected nobody would wanna deal with me...but it looks like Alice is proving me wrong." Marc stated with a hopeful smile.
*flash transition*
(Confessional: Alice)
She is just poking her index fingers together while blushing. "Uh...I'm known as an 'empath'. I sense people's emotions and how they are feelings. I'm actually taking a psychology elective in school to help me prepare for college. I want to be a therapist. I sensed that Marc was going through something so...I offered a shoulder to cry on...but...*squeal* he's so cute!" Alice revealed. She ended the confessional with a blush and her giddily kicking her feet as she was sitting.

(White Team campsite)
The campsite for the White Team was the same set up as the Black Team. The team started unpacking their belongings and getting a good look at their camp.
"Ah, now this reminds me of my youth in the Boy Scouts." Raymond commented. "Oh, you were a Scout?" Debbie asked. "Yep! Helped shape me into the man you see now!" Raymond boasted. Vadik walked passed him to the cabin. "*groan*" he let out. Raymond looked a bit offended. "Got something on your mind, big guy?" the man asked. "This is much different than being a silly little boy scout. How dow you think the scouts will have prepared you for this?" the Russian inquired. Raymond got a smug look on his face. "Haha. Well, the troop certainly taught me fire making skills, carving, first aid, traps for food. I'd say I'm set...much more than I can say you...commie." Raymond responded...though he shouldn't have.
As soon as he said that...the whole team let out a collective *GASP*. "...what?" Raymond asked...as if he didn't know what he did wrong. "Did...did you just say what I think you said?" Brie asked rhetorically. "Yeah...and?" Raymond asked back. "Listen here, puny man!" Vadik started with a fierce stare. "Vadik Andrews is not...has not been...and will never be a 'commie'! I may be Russian...but I am proud American citizen. I will not stand for your comments." Vadik bellowed. "Haha...yeah. 'American citizen'. That's what they all say." Raymond fired back.
Darrius was watching this exchanged play out with a smirk on his face and a hand on his chin. he seemed to be...plotting something. "Listen here you-" the big brute started to yell before Darrius got in between them. "Heyyy...let's just take a breather. Raymond, I'm gonna go forage for some fruit. Come with me, 'kay?" the teen suggested as he led Raymond away from the camp and into the forest.

(Confessional: Debbie)
"I knew there was something bad about him! I knew it when we first spoke on the boat! Looks like we know who's going home first." Debbie ranted.

(Confessional: Vadik)
Vadik was seen splitting lots of logs in half by stomping on them. He was very angry and saying...something in Russian.

(Confessional: Rosie)
Rosie showed a page on her notepad. 'I feel bad for Vadik. Nobody should have to be talked down to like that...I can actually relate to that.' it read. She turned the page. 'Man...Raymond is a douche.'

Raymond was walking with Darrius in the forest, gathering an assortment of different fruits. "Hey, thanks for sticking up for me back there, Darrius." Raymond told the younger teen. "Uh...I wasn't really doing it for you, I just didn't want to see a murder on the first day...but you're welcome either way." Darrius replied. "Actually...I brought you out here for another reason...other than gathering fruit." he revealed. "Oh? and what might that be?" Raymond asked. "I heard you talking to that Hawaiian kid on the other team...Arnold, was it?" the devious boy commented. "Oh...uh...w-well, uh..." the man stammered. "Hey, you don't have to tell me anything yet. I can already sense some bad blood between you two. I'm willing to help you out with that AND stay on the show longer...if you do something for me." Darrius told him. "And that is?" he asked. "Whenever we need to vote someone off, join me in convincing the others to boot off whoever I want. You successfully do that, and I can guarantee you safety." the teen told him. "Hmm...alright then...you've got yourself an alliance!" Raymond agreed. The two shook hands.
*static transition*
(Confessional: Raymond)
"As a politician, I have experience with making alliances with some...rather unsavory people...just look at my last marriage." Raymond started as he quietly muttered the last part. "I know Darrius plans on double crossing me when I least expect it. So why am I trusting him?" he continued. "Well...let's say I know that Arnold kid...we had a...friendship...that ended badly. I...want to make things right. I'm not leaving this island until I do!" Raymond swore.

Toni came running over to the two boys. "'Ey boys, it's gonna rain soon so you guys need to get to your cabin." she informed them. "Alright, thanks Toni. C'mon, Raymond." Darrius said. Raymond was busy trying to get a mango out of a tree. "Ok, I'll be right there!" Raymond called out. As the other two ran back to camp, Raymond decided to try something. He found a thick branch and flung it like a Bat-a-rang to cut it now...it worked!
"Haha! Now that's what I call being resourceful!" Raymond said to himself as he went over to the mango and picked it up. "Hm...what's this?" he thought aloud as he saw something out of the corner of his eye...something else fell from the tree; a scroll of some sorts. He unraveled the scroll and began reading it. It read:
'Congratulations, Disventure Camp Competitor!
You have found an official Disventure Camp Advantage! This advantage allows you to force two campers (one from both teams) to switch teams. You CAN pick yourself if you want. Be sure to use this wisely! Good luck!'
Raymond got a grin on his face. "Well, I'll be! Must be my lucky day! I gotta show this to Darrius when the time is right...but I gotta get back to camp first." Raymond thought aloud. He rolled up the scroll and put it on his head under his hat. He got his fruit and started sprinting towards camp.
However...somebody was watching him.
"It might be a lucky day for you, Raymond...but it's also a lucky day for me...ha...ha...ha..." an out-of-view voice said ominously.

Stay tuned for part two of episode one!
