"Why did I agree to do this?" I groaned in annoyance as I stared in dismay at my reflection in the mirror.
"Because you're the director of the Albion region's Safari zone and people need to see you," I heard William, my older brother, call from somewhere outside of my dressing room.
I glanced down at my clothes, huffing quietly in annoyance; instead of my usual jeans and t-shirt, I was wearing a sleek grey button-up shirt with a tie as well as black dress pants, along with those weird ultra shiny shoes.
"Do I really need to dress up, though?" I asked, tugging at the tie for the 5th time.
"Because my family is funding this parade, and they sign your paycheck," I heard Grey, the man whose family was funding this, say from somewhere else.
I groaned and messed up my black hair, undoing the half hour of styling that I had been forced to endure. I stepped out of the dressing room of the "borrowed" clothing store into organized chaos. People and Pokémon bustled all around me. Outside, I could see people putting the final touches on the parade floats and reviewing the order of the parade procession.
"Looking good, bro," I heard William say from my right. I turned, expecting to see him in a similar suit but found him in a shirt with a too-large collar (that he had popped, of course) with an ultra ball patch where the pocket would have been. He was also wearing a fresh Pokémon League jacket, signifying him as one of this region's Elite Four. Kara, his Anthro Garchomp, stood next to him wearing a tight black suit that resembled a wetsuit. I had seen trainers get these suits, battle harnesses, for their anthro Pokémon because normal clothing would get in the way during battles.
"I didn't sign up for this," I sighed, yanking on the tie-up like a noose for emphasis.
"You're the success story the league is trying to show off to get people to move to Albion, though, they want to show you off," Grey explained casually, stepping out of his own dressing room. "You went from a Safari zone employee in Hoenn to the director of the new Safari zone in Albion. That's one hell of a raise."
I groaned, annoyed that he was right. If that wasn't a success story for a new region, I don't know what was.
"You should be grateful I was able to talk my father into letting you wear that; he wanted you to wear this instead," Grey said, motioning to his own get-up.
He was wearing a full suit that probably cost more than most of the cars around. I grimaced thinking about how hot it must be to wear that, but didn't dwell on that thought. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, annoyed but grateful I didn't have to deal with that kind of heat.
"Plus, you're in Kalos and in Lumiose City, no less! You always said you wanted to travel!" William exclaimed, draping an arm over my shoulders and punching my arm like he used to do when we were kids.
I sighed, shrugging William off me while rubbing where he punched.
"I just hoped I wouldn't have to do it while being shown off like a museum piece; couldn't your father have hired an actor or stand-in?"
Grey gave a sympathetic smile as he shook his head ruefully.
"Unfortunately, you and Yurai are already pretty recognizable ever since those photos I took were published in Pokémon Weekly. Yurai is the first documented Shiny anthro Pokémon, and you're the underdog of the year."
I groaned as I looked up, covering my face with a hand. I never wanted to be in the public eye, but it seems there was nothing I could do about that.
"Yeah...Yeah, you're right, but I'm not happy about it.”
"Oh boohoo, you're rich and famous. Most people would jump at this chance, and where is Yurai anyway? Knowing her, she's like...Putting rocks in people's shoes or letting air out of tires," William quipped, peering around the clothing store.
"I'm here and TOTALLY being good, just helping Eva with her dress," I heard from a nearby dressing room. The three of us turned to see Eva, Grey's Eevee, in a full ballroom gown, complete with frills and lace, stepping out of one of the ladies' dressing rooms. She looked like she had just stepped out of a dance hall at some castle where the prince chased her down to ask for her hand. Yurai, on the other hand, was wearing a schoolgirl outfit, complete with a plaid skirt, white button-up shirt, and a tie that matched mine. While Eva looked regal and refined, she looked like she had just stepped out of an all-girls school where she got yelled at for wearing her clothes out of regulations. Her shirt was partially unbuttoned a bit towards the top and bottom, revealing a little cleavage and her midriff.
"You look exquisite, Eva. I knew that dress would work perfectly for you," Grey admired, looking Eva up and down with an approving smile.
"Annnnnnd me?" Yurai called coyly, floating over to me to sit on my shoulder.
"You look like you're a mischievous schoolgirl," I remarked, which made Yurai wiggle happily on my shoulder.
"Perfect! Let's make ALLLLL them people jealous," She said with more enthusiasm than I thought necessary.
"What about Kara?" Kara asked, butting her head against William.
"Uh...you look graceful and dangerous, no one will ever think you can't battle," He said quickly, rubbing Kara's snout to pacify her. In truth, she did look sleek and dangerous, but I had known her since she was a little Gible chewing on pieces of wood to help with her teeth growing in, so the intimidation factor wasn't quite there for me.
Yurai giggled, levitating up off my shoulder to float over to Grey, who was looking over Eva's gown, double-checking it while Eva seemed pleased but exasperated.
"Looks good! No wardrobe malfunctions shall happen," Grey said, pleased with his final check.
"Of course it's good! I helped check it!" Yurai exclaimed happily, resting her boobs on Eva's head while giving Grey a zipper-toothed smile.
This made Grey begin checking over Eva's gown again while Yurai laughed, only to eventually get shooed away by Eva, who was trying to calm Grey down as he tried to find whatever Yurai had possibly sabotaged. Yurai floated back over to me, her grin growing wider. She perched herself on my shoulders, wrapping her legs around my neck and resting her breasts on my head now.
"I didn't actually do anything to the dress," Yurai confided to me quietly, "it's just funny to watch him freak out."
I snorted in amusement but gave no further acknowledgment of her words, watching as Grey fussed with Eva while William stood with Kara, going over moves he wanted her to show off on the float. It was nice to see my brother with his Pokémon in person and not on a TV screen. I had spent years working at the safari zone while he was a gym leader for the Pokémon League. Now we were both in the same region, and while we worked separately, it wasn't hard for him to come to the safari zone or for me to visit Victory Road. There were people and Pokémon that literally made a living ferrying people around the regions after all.
A woman in a suit and glasses with a clipboard approached my brother and Kara, tapping him on the shoulder, then speaking to him in a quiet voice. A small Ralts stood beside her with a clipboard of his own and glasses without lenses. I waved at the small Pokémon and got a small wave in return.
"I gotta head over to the float with the rest of the Pokémon League! I'll catch you guys later," William called out to me and Grey, turning to follow the woman while Kara tried to get between him and the woman. Always so territorial.
"I should head to my position too, my father will be watching and wants everything perfect," Grey said, finally done with his fourth or fifth inspection of Eva and her gown. He gave Yurai a small glower while Eva gave a curtsy to us, which diverted Grey's attention from us to her.
"Very well done, Eva, I can tell you've been practicing," He said as he held out an arm for her. She took it and they strolled away while Grey encouraged her, but also pointed out how she could improve her curtsy etiquette or whatever.
"Aww, how come you never offer me your arm, master? Am I not ladylike enough?" Yurai pouted, still sitting firmly on my shoulders like a deranged parrot. Her little hands began prodding my face as she asked, "Huh huh, am I not ladylike?".
I waved them away and prodded her side, earning a short giggled snort.
"A. You don't walk anywhere, B. You wouldn't take my arm and instead would sit on my shoulders and C. No, you aren't, you little gremlin," I responded, earning another giggle from Yurai.
"Not my fault you're comfy to sit on," She retorted with mock defensiveness. "Besides, I don't wanna learn to curtsy."
I sighed, leaning my head back against Yurai, looking up as she leaned forward, looking down at me with a zipper-toothed grin.
"Wanna ditch this parade? We can grab some food and fuck instead," Yurai commented, earning a glance from a passerby.
"I wish, but Grey is right, we got famous and now have to do what famous people do, make appearances and look like we know what we are doing."
This time, Yurai groaned, shaking her head.
"You actually doing something and not complaining about it is weird."
"Oh no, I'm still gonna complain about it," I said, earning a giggle. "Wanna at least check out some of the floats before we have to go...wherever we are needed?"
Yurai rubbed her chin and began stroking an imaginary beard.
"Yeah, for those who travel and fail to see the world are fools," She said with a bad kung fu sensei accent.
"Where did you learn that?" I asked as I left the clothing store and strode towards the floats. Most were finished, but a few had some last-minute tweaks to perfect them. I saw one for the Pokémon Center, Nurse Joys and their Chanseys taking position on it, another was a police float, Officer Jennys and their Growlithes in spotless uniforms.
"Fortune cookie! But it sounded profound and I am so wise," She responded with a giggle.
One of the floats looked almost amateurish in its design, and I felt Yurai about to start jeering, but I nudged her leg and motioned quietly with my head to the army of school children with their own Pokémon building it. I saw a teacher with a tired-looking Roselia trying to herd the kids, but having about as much effect as an electric-type attack on a ground-type Pokémon. It was actually a bit cute to see how excited they were.
"Most people grow up with their Pokémon, huh?" Yurai said quietly, watching the kids run around like living sugar highs.
"Yeah, they do, and all I got was a sewer gremlin that tried to curse me," I fake-sighed, tutting to myself. I got a soft swat on my head for that.
"First off, I'm a shiny sewer gremlin! And secondly, it's not my fault I got a master so dense he didn't recognize a good curse," She retorted in mock outrage.
I sighed and shook my head.
"Ah, yes, the old 'flickering lights in a thunderstorm". So recognizable as a curse," I said with a mock sigh.
"Fine, I'll get you good!" Yurai said with a note of challenge in her voice. I might've messed up egging her on like that, but she wouldn't do something too terrible to me, at least nothing permanent.
Yurai levitated off my shoulders to float beside me as we walked. I jokingly stuck out my arm to her, which she looked at for a moment before taking it with a smile that was a little too wide. It always creeped me out when she smiled like that, but I would NEVER let her know that, or she would make that face 24/7. Instead, I just sighed and led her through the crowd. People moved out of our way as we looked around, and I think a few people recognized us, or rather, they recognized Yurai. Like Grey said, she was the first known shiny anthro Pokémon.
Eventually, we wandered to where I assumed the new gym leaders were. Four floats were assembled there, each one split in half to wildly differing decor. I watched a buff Chatot girl who was tall as fuck on a half float that looked like a gym someone would work out at next to what looked like a cozy kitchen with a Gengar girl in it. It was almost dizzying to see a flying type where I would assume a fighting type would be, as well as a ghost type where I would assume a fairy type to be, but those were gym leaders for you; weird to a fault. The Chatot girl was actively flexing in front of the Gengar girl while talking. I could only imagine her trying to convince the corpulent ghost Pokémon to work out with her. I almost lost it as the Genger grabbed a long pastry, an eclair, I think it was called, opened her mouth wide, then squirted the cream filling into her mouth while making a jerk off motion. The Chatot girl stared, flabbergasted at the response, while Yurai howled with laughter.
The Gengar, whose name was Sharon, based on the large banner flying above the float that stated her name and that she was part of a ghost-type gym, must've heard the laugh because she stuck out her long tongue (which still had the filling on it) at Yurai.
"Don't encourage her!" I heard the chatbot, Athena, who was part of a flying gym, call to Yurai.
The guys who were gym leaders seemed to think the whole situation was hilarious because they were just watching the two very different Pokémon battle it out. I could imagine how popular both Pokémon would be later on since they didn't fit the type stereotype at all. A buff flying type and a ghost type that obviously loved her sweets.
Yurai and I moved on to find the next float, which was half a mess of gears and looked like a clock tower had vomited up a bunch of spare parts; the other half looked like it had been made to look like a desert. For a moment, I saw a clockwork Pokémon, a Magearna, a mythical Pokémon I had only ever heard of. I couldn't even tell if it was an anthro, but the banner did say her name was Rella. Her trainer was by her, oil smudged on his face as he cranked a wrench on the metal Pokémon's "dress".
The rest of the leaders' floats were empty of Pokémon and people, but they had been set up to look like areas one would see in a Pokémon gym: a garden full of flowers, a warehouse full of fake icicles and boxes, and even one that had an Ouija board painted on its floor. I grimaced at the Ouija board and stepped away, deciding to find Williams' float.
"Why grimace, master?" Yurai asked as she floated next to me as I walked through the crowd.
"I grew up next to Mt. Pyre, I know better than to fuck with that ghost stuff," I said, craning my neck a bit to see around us. Luckily, I was a bit taller than average, so I could see over most of the crowd.
Yurai giggled, covering her zipper mouth with a hand that looked like a sleeve.
"Master, you literally fuck a gho-"
I managed to zip her mouth shut before she could finish the sentence.
"Not here," I hissed quietly, "We're trying to look good."
I motioned around to the people and Pokémon that surrounded us.
"We don't need to advertise that we do that."
Yurai smiled and grabbed the zipper handle, pulling her mouth open.
"Why? Half the trainers and Pokémon here do it," She said conspiratorially, floating to perch on my shoulder again.
"Even IF that's true, we're family-friendly! It's the safari zone, not the... pokephilia zone...or something," I sighed quietly to her.
"Lame name," Yurai giggled.
"Whatever, it’s not like I put a lot of thought into it."
Yurai giggled again but didn’t push it, instead opting to put her legs around my neck and lean her body on the back of my head. She always liked sitting there, and I enjoyed it as well. She was lighter than she looked, and I liked feeling her body pressed to me.
"Maybe we should open a park like that," She murmured in my ear as I approached what had to be the Pokémon League's float. There were too many people dressed like Jojo characters to be normal people.
I found William and three other trainers doing various poses at each other and had to stifle a laugh. They were taking the whole thing exceptionally seriously and were critiquing each other’s poses.
"First, I'll hit them with a "Hacha!" Then a "Wapish" like this," William was saying to the gathered trainers, who I assumed made up the Elite Four. He struck a pose with his feet set extra wide, pointing to the side with one arm and the other one raised skyward, then quickly changed to one where he turned his back partly and looked over his shoulder, his arms crossed in front of him. Kara was behind him, her face covered by her clawed fins, while the other trainers with him nodded in approval.
"Oh my Arceus," I heard Yurai giggle quietly to me.
I reached for my pokegear to take a picture or video, only to find my pockets empty. I grimaced, remembering that I had been “advised” (told rather rudely) to leave everything out of my pockets for the parade.
"Dammit, I can’t get a picture of this," I groaned, "would've been SO good for blackmail."
Yurai bounced on my shoulders with a happy "Oh oh! I got this," I looked up to see her mouth open a little too wide and her reach into it, fishing around in her...wherever for something. I noticed a few passersby stare in shocked horror as Yurai pulled her pokegear out of whatever void her stomach was and passed it to me.
I took the offered piece of tech, ignoring how cold to the touch it was, to take several pictures of my brother. Kara noticed me first as I snapped a few extra pictures just in case. She nudged William, making him look at her, then look towards me when she motioned with her head. I watched in amusement as the color drained from his face when he realized it was me and that I was holding a camera.
"Do another pose," Yurai jeered, her body shaking from her giggles.
"Jack- you! I thought you were! Uh! Kara, get that camera!" He started spluttering, which made Kara just roll her shark-like eyes and start lumbering towards me at a very sedate pace. I passed the pokegear up to Yurai and heard her "eat" it again, then turned and walked into a dense part of the crowd.
"Ohhh, those were so good," Yurai commented, still giggling.
"Great blackmail, although it seems funny that he would be bashful now when he’s gonna do all that in front of a crowd," I stated as I navigated through the hordes of people and Pokémon.
"Where to now, master? I still say we ditch this," Yurai said, rubbing her chest on the back of my head. "We could still fu-"
"We are going to find our float and become more famous," I sighed, knowing the general area where our float would be. "Gotta keep the guy who pays us happy."
"Hmpf lammmmmeee"
I just nodded in agreement. I didn’t want to be in a parade; I wanted to check out the Pal Park and see if there was anything there worth adapting to the new safari zone.
It took a little bit of walking to find our float, during which time Yurai and I passed the float Grey and Eva were on. They looked like they were practicing a ballroom dance, Eva's gown swishing as Grey led her through the steps of the dance. I noticed that the float was sponsored by the Darwin family and the company that was making Candies from the berries that caused anthro evolution. I suppose showing a Pokémon doing a fancy dance would make some people want to make their partners more human-like.
"WOOOO GO EVA," Yurai cheered right into my ear. I rubbed at it while Eva did a stutter step mid-dance, looking around and finding Yurai waving at her. Grey glowered at Yurai but ultimately did nothing besides correct Eva and begin their practice steps again. I watched for a moment, then sighed. That dance looked so tiring, and I didn’t want Yurai to get any ideas.
"Master, can we also dan-" Yurai started, only to be cut off with a sharp "No" from me.
"A. You don’t know how to dance, and B. I also don’t know how to dance," I reasoned, leading Yurai away. She hrrmpfed a bit on my shoulders, kicking her little legs more aggressively than normal for a minute or two as I strolled through the crowd. Eventually, I found the float that Yurai and I were going to be on and admired its handiwork. The float looked like a cutaway from a redwood forest, mock evergreen tree bases were present, and something resembling moss covered the "forest floor".
It almost looked real, and I supposed having grass-type Pokémon and a ton of photos from Grey had helped whoever made this float. I looked around at the floats around mine and noted that one looked like a beach with a Volleyball net on it. The net itself was a banner of cloth, with the words "Alola Aquatic Zone" written on it in big, bold letters.
"Ohhh, hey! You're that guy and the shiny Banette," Came a voice from near the front of it.
I sighed and looked for the speaker, finding a trainer walking towards me with far too wide of a smile and being followed by two anthro Lycanrocs. I stood awkwardly as he approached me, extending a hand. Which I took tentatively,
"I'm Andy, founder of the Aquatic zone, and I work with my two lovely companions," He motioned to the Midday form Lycanroc "Nuha" and the Midnight form "Nisha". The rock Pokémon girls waved stiffly to Yurai and me. Both were wearing a bikini top and a skirt that looked like a towel tied around their waist, while bright pink flower crowns adorned their heads.
"I saw the photoset of you and that Darwin guy and the gym leader finding a place for a safari zone in the Albion region and thought, " Whoa, hey! I should do that in Alola," But there was no real land available, so I made the first ever aquatic safari zone," Andy rambled, still shaking my hand vigorously. "Nuha and Nisha are sisters and aren't really ones for water, though, so they help rent out surfboards and inner tubes! You have no idea how much fun it is to catch Pokémon on an innertube."
I extracted my hand from his grip with an awkward smile.
"- uh... I’m glad you were inspired to do that. I’m Jack, and that's Yu-"
As I spoke, Nisha yelped loudly, and in an instant, Nuha had pushed her sister behind her. I sighed as I saw that Yurai had a long strand of hair in her little grabby hand.
"Look, master! It IS hair and not like a rock," Yurai commented, smiling brightly. I sighed, walking over to Yurai as she pulled on the stolen hair like she was trying to test how strong it was. Luckily, she was so engrossed with trying to break the hair that I was able to grab her waist and roughly sit her back on my shoulder.
"Sorry, Nisha," I said to the pair, feeling Nuha glower at me and Yurai. "She's a little curious and has almost zero inhibitions."
"Hey! I'll inhibit you!" Yurai protested. I did an over-exaggerated shrug, bouncing the small ghost Pokémon.
Nuha kept glaring at Yurai while Nisha tried to hide behind her sister.
"Sorry again, ladies, Andy, it was...interesting to meet you," I said, giving an awkward wave to the girls and Andy.
"Oh yeah, totally cool to see you and the shiny banette! Stop by the aquatic zone sometime! I’ll give you a discount."
"No, you won’t!" Nisha protested, moving her glare to her trainer.
"Ok, maybe I won’t! Catch ya later anyway!"
Note to self: Never visit the aquatic zone.
I gave a half-hearted wave and stalked away toward "my" float while I felt Yurai giggling silently to herself.
"Didja hear her yelp? I wasn't expecting that! And I thought their hair and fur were supposed to like..be rocky or stone needles or something!" Yurai quipped, finally tossing the unbroken hair away.
"I heard it might have to do with the anthropological evolution. Next time, could you wait till we are leaving or something?" I remarked with a sigh.
Yurai floated next to me and started pouting.
"I did, though! I knew if I did that, the conversation would end, and I was right!"
I opened my mouth to retort, stopped, thought about it, and then nodded. Unorthodox but not wrong, she DID end that conversation. Still, I groaned in annoyance as I increased my pace to my float. For a moment, I looked around it, not finding an easy way up onto it. I circled the float, looking for anything climbable or stairs to let me get on it. I was about to give up and just do what Yurai had been suggesting by just leaving when I was interrupted by a stiff " Ahem". I turned to find the same woman who had led William away; her Ralts stood beside her as she looked me up and down with a small frown.
"Didn't expect to find you here," She said tersely, pointing out a small foldable stepladder near one of the other floats, which her "assistant" waddled over to grab. I frowned upon hearing that, watching the Ralts struggle to drag the small ladder over.
I motioned slightly with my head to Yurai for her to help the little guy. She nodded, floating over to him and grabbing the ladder. She then lifted the ladder and the Ralts off the ground, floating over with both over to me.
"Why is that?" I asked, taking the ladder from Yurai and setting the Ralts onto the ground. "Thank you, Yurai, and thank you uh..."
"His name is Leo," the woman said, some of the stiffness leaving her voice.
"Ah, thank you, Leo."
The little Ralts almost seemed to blush, adjusting their fake glasses before going back to the woman's side.
"I didn't think you would be here because your brother said you probably wandered off to do anything but be in the parade."
I sighed internally, thankful I hadn't proven him right.
"Well, I'm here and ready," I said with false bravado.
The woman just nodded at that, seeming pleased I was where I was supposed to be
"Well, thankfully, he was wrong. The floats towards the front of the parade have started moving, so you have maybe 5 minutes before yours does."
I nodded, unfolding the ladder and clambering up onto the float as Yurai just drifted upwards onto my shoulders once more.
"Thanks for the ladder, hope to see you around, ma'am, Leo," I said with a nod to them. She smiled faintly at me while Leo waved at me. I watched as they strode away to do whatever else they had to do.
"I still say we ditch this," Yurai pouted, kicking her tiny legs while perched on my shoulder.
"I wish, I hate being in the spotlight," I groaned so only she could hear. "But I also want to live comfortably, and that means I have to do this every once in a while."
"We could get Dittos to copy us, then make them do this kinda stuff."
I thought about it for only a moment and chuckled.
"They wouldn't get the faces right, can you imagine it?"
Yurai giggled and used Will-o'-wisp to draw a dittos face in midair.
"I can’t see the difference," She giggled out, floating in front of me so I could see her with the ditto face, and she could see me with it.
"You evil little doll," I grunted, grabbing her out of midair and pinching her cheeks.
Her giggles evolved into full-blown ghostly cackles that would send shivers up a normal person's spine.
"The Ditto you would even have better insults!" She cackled as I pulled at her cheeks.
"And Ditto you wouldn't try to tempt me away from my job!" I retorted as I let go of her cheeks and forcefully put her on my shoulder again.
"You would miss me though," She giggled quietly.
"Yeah, and you would miss me."
I felt her nod as I looked in front of us, noticing that the float before ours had started moving. After a moment, ours did too, jolting slightly and making me stumble before it smoothed out. Yurai just stayed latched to me like a ramoraid.
"Looks like we're stuck with each other," Yurai snickered, patting the side of my head like I was a horse. With a bit of overdramatic flourish, I shooed her hand away while attempting to make it look like I was waving at the gathered crowd. I'm sure I failed spectacularly, but at least Yurai stopped petting me.
The float moved slowly down the street while the sidewalks teemed with Pokémon and people, while cheers and confetti bits filled the air. Overhead, Drifloons were dropping everything, paper, from coupons to advertisements, while faster flying Pokémon zipped around carrying cameras and even some people. From behind our float, I heard what sounded like a rock band start to play as the faintest sound of classical music from in front of us barely wafted to me. The smell of carnival foods filled my nose. I breathed in deeply while I waved to the crowds.
"Yurai, get off my shoulders and wave, they aren't here to just see me," I chided as Yurai clung to me.
"Wh-wha?"
"You’re a shiny anthro Pokémon Yurai, you might be the first or only people ever see, they want to see you."
"I...uh...I don’t know"
It was odd to hear Yurai bashful instead of her usual bold and almost hyperactive self.
"I'm not that special master...I got thrown away, remember??"
I nodded but made a sweeping motion in front of me with my arm.
"Look around us, Yurai. There are thousands, if not millions, of Pokémon here. How many Shiny Pokémon do you see? How many anthros?" I said, gesturing to the crowd.
A mix of people and Pokémon covered the sidewalks, all waving as we passed them, and while I couldn't tell where the people were from, I could see Pokémon from every region, Pokémon of every type, and Pokémon from every evolution stage. I could see a Machamp flexing, a Chatot hawking its trainers' wares, and a Chansey giving first aid and water to passersby. Looking out, I realized that the saying "every Pokémon is someone's favorite" had to be real.
"I can't see any shiny Pokémon or very many anthros..." Yurai admitted.
"Good, now get-" I said loudly, reaching above my head and grabbing her waist. She managed to blurt out a "WHA-" as I channeled my inner aggron and tossed her. "OFF"
I couldn't throw her very far, but it did the trick. Yurai flailed for a bit before catching herself in midair, straightening her skirt and blouse, then turned to glare at me.
"Your mean look doesn't work on me," I called out as I waved to the crowd. I knew she would do something to me later, but for now, I would enjoy watching her.
It was at that point that Yurai seemed to remember she was in the middle of a parade and people were looking at her. She spun to look down at the people and Pokémon who were mostly looking at her. She floated, looking somewhat flustered, until her smile reappeared and blue flames appeared at the tips of her fingers. There was a collective "ooooo" as she began spinning, looking like a schoolgirl Alolan Marowak.
I could see dozens of people filming her as she pirouetted in midair, ghostly flames shooting out of her fingers to float like...well, like will-o'-wisps that somehow seemed to pulse and dance to the beat of the rock music that echoed up from behind us. Yurai seemed to love the attention because she transitioned from will-wisps to some kind of pink flashes.
I pondered for a moment as I watched her. Where did she get the TM for dazzling gleam? It didn't take long for me to figure out where she had gotten her tiny hands on the TM. Only one person I knew had a stash of battle items for Pokémon, and that would be William. I made a note to tell him to check his TM case when this was over. In the meantime, though, I watched as Yurai made dozens of brilliant pink flashes of light, looking like a short and spooky Sailor Moon in her schoolgirl outfit. I had to admit she was cute as all hell.
Eventually, she stopped making the pink lights appear and instead disappeared, sinking into a portal of darkness beneath her feet. The crowd seemed to gasp and look around for her, but I had seen this trick before.
"You aren't sneaky," I called over my shoulder, only to hear an "aww, no fun" from her as she appeared from a shadow behind me.
"You shouldn't have shown me Shadow sneak before then," I gently chided as she clung to my back. I didn't try to dislodge her; she used a lot of energy showing off those moves, and she deserved a rest.
"How much longer, master?" Yurai asked quietly, resting her chin on my shoulder
"Dunno, maybe half an hour? Parades aren't usually too long," I answered as she huffed. "Good job, Yurai, you looked so good out there with your cute dress and flashy moves."
I felt Yurai go still as she absorbed my words.
"You mean it, master?" She asked quietly
"Every word"
I felt her hug my head awkwardly.
"Thank you, Master, and uh...Sorry for this."
I was about to ask what she meant when I felt my body grow hot in a way that had nothing to do with the movement of molecules. I struggled to focus on anything other than the small body pressed against me. I was acutely aware of Yurai's breasts pressing against me.
"--what did you do?" I hissed, flexing my legs and trying to focus on anything other than her.
"Cursed you! " She said, her usual mischievous smile looked less like a prankster enjoying good fun and more like a Sharpedo on the hunt.
I felt the blood drain from my face to somewhere a little more awkward. I pushed my focus outward, no longer on my body or on Yurai, instead forcing a smile as I waved and slowly walked around the platform on the float. Yurai hovered beside me like the spectre she was, waving as well.
"Where did you get pins?" I asked, the thought finally dredging into my severely addled mind. I had taken SO many precautions to take pins, needles, and most other sharp pointy things from her due to her penchant to curse everyone and everything. She once cursed my former boss to always step into water as soon as he put on fresh socks until I managed to get the pin from her. Her curses weren't deadly or life-altering, just...annoying.
Yurai stuck out her long, Black and white striped tongue where the red heads of 2 push pins were visible in stark contrast.
"From helping Eva into her dress, the tailors must've forgotten them andddd I couldn’t let my friend get poked," She said, her tongue still out. I saw some people staring in horror at her tongue while others seemed to cheer. It coiled back into her mouth like the hill from a movie with a singing skeleton man.
"W-who else did you curse?" I stammered as I noticed a particularly busty woman jumping with a little too much enthusiasm. I tore my eyes away from the spectacle to wander to the other side of the float, my mind in a fog.
"Mmmm myself," Yurai remarked casually, shifting her shirt the barest bit. Right below where her navel should have been was a heart-shaped mark with what looked like zippers covering it. It pulsed with a dull pink light that matched her eyes.
"Only way to lift the curse is for you to fuck me hardddd Master," She teased. "Only you and I can see this mark though, still working on making it so that everyone can see it."
I gawked at her, my arm and wrist still waving like they were on autopilot.
"S-so you cursed me because I wouldn't leave with you earlier"
The teeth in her zipper mouth seemed sharper as she smiled at me.
"Ohhh my poor master, you didn't want it then, now you have to endure it!" She giggled.
"You evil little doll, when this is over, you're gettin-"
"Shush, master! Don't want people to hear what you'll do to your poor Banette!" She teased, doing a small pirouette around me.
Welp, I must have been in hell because this was the worst.
I tried to push everything out of my head while I did some mental timekeeping, guessing that 20-30 minutes had passed since the start of the parade and Yurai’s Light show. Of course, that brought me little comfort as I realized that I had another 30 to 45 minutes of this remaining.
I did my best to focus on anything other than Yurai, who floated next to me like a spectre with her zipper smile, floating in front of me so my eyes drifted to her shapely rear. So I strode from one side of the float platform to the other, waving to people and Pokémon. Little things kept catching my attention, though. A woman in a low-cut top made me tear my eyes from that part of the crowd to an anthro miltank who was bouncing and looking VERY jiggly. I couldn't even look ahead of me because I saw Nisha and Nuha doing a very elegant type of dance...a hula dance, I think it was called.
Physically, I wasn't faring any better; Yurai was all over me. She floated around me while occasionally pressing her body to mine. Her chest and breasts pressed to my back, floating in front of me and pressing her back to mine to make sure I got a view of her cleavage, hugging my arm tightly and wiggling slightly.
To anyone watching, I'm sure it just looked like a Pokémon being playful and near its trainer. At one point, she kissed my forehead, and I heard some of the crowd make a collective "awe" even though I got a full view down her shirt. Maybe they thought the Pokémon that anthro evolved were attached to their trainer, or maybe they just thought Yurai was being cute around me.
I sighed, running my fingers through my hair while I tried to use the lessons every man learns during puberty: how to hide or avoid a hard-on in public. I walked around while flexing my thighs, forcing myself to look at anything that couldn't be considered sexy. I tried to dredge up thoughts of things like work or my time alone wandering the safari zone in Lilycove City. Yurai's curse didn't let me, though; like a lasso around my thoughts, my mind kept getting pulled to sex.
Visions of Yurai flashed in my mind's eye. Her posing in every way I ever thought was sexy, her in outfits from games or movies, her fulfilling every sexual fantasy I had ever had, all of them bombarded my thoughts while I did my best to keep a happy smile on my face and keep waving.
The parade float chugged along slowly through the streets of Lumiose City while the crowds grew thicker. I saw side shows of Mr.Mimes doing routines along with their trainers, street vendors had set up and were selling a dizzying array of food from different regions. I swear I saw my old boss with his Mr. Mime doing a routine, but I wasn't sure, as my mind fought with me.
"Oh my poor master," Yurai murmured into my ear as she wrapped her arms around me from behind, probably looking like an innocent hug to any onlookers.
"You know you could make it stop at any time."
I sighed and tried to shake her off without bringing any attention to the motion, only for her to stick to me.
"I can’t just leave the float to fuck you," I mumble hissed to her.
"You cooouuulddd if you really wanted," She said in a ghastly sing-song voice as she let go and floated in front of me to shake her butt and wag her little yellow tail at me.
"Or you could just grab me and do it right here."
I grabbed her waist and pulled her to me, earning a startled "meep!" before I zipped her mouth shut and held the tag so she couldn't unzip it. The crowd around us laughed as Yurai struggled weakly to make me let go before eventually giving up, her eyes filled with amusement that she got me to break and annoyance that I had literally shut her up.
"You gonna be a good doll?" I asked, half-sighing because I knew the answer.
Yurai grinned widely, her pink eyes dancing with joyous mischief as she shook her head. I sighed but let her go anyway, grabbing her around the waist and propping her on my shoulder like a deranged parrot. She pressed her hips to the side of my head with a little wiggle as she unzipped her mouth and giggled.
"Ohhhh, master, can't keep your hands off me," She teased, rubbing her butt against my shoulder.
I groaned, flexing my legs while I walked from side to side on the float platform. I'm sure I looked a bit awkward doing that, but I’m fairly certain most people would walk weird on a moving thing like this.
The buildings of Lumiose City stretched skyward as the procession advanced, and more flying Pokémon filled the skies. I saw people riding larger Pokémon and even a child floating around with a gaggle of drifloons carrying them. I wasn't sure if that was cute or terrifying.
Before long, I saw the main attraction of the city come into view as we rounded a corner; Prism Tower, the gym of this City, a huge tower, had been covered with large screens displaying floats of the parade. On one screen, I saw William and the rest of the Elite Four striking poses like the Ginyu Force. Another shows Grey and Eva dancing together, doing a fast-paced dance like a tango.
I watched as the video shifted, A Primarina singing into a microphone while a Toxicroak girl jammed out on a keytar; That tall Chatot was picking up heavy things and putting them down while the Gengar Sharon was throwing Poffins into the crowd. I was transfixed when I saw the view shift from William and the rest of the elite four to Yurai, and I almost had a heart attack.
There I stood with Yurai on my shoulder, my hair scuffed up, but my slacks and tie looking pristine. The bags that had almost always been under my eyes were nearly gone, and I wasn't slouching like I usually did. Yurai was on my shoulder, her usual smile wider than normal as she began shooting small flashes of light with finger guns.
"I thought you were too tired to do that anymore."
She giggled as she floated off my shoulder, flipping upside down and shooting off a few more dazzling gleams while I hurriedly grabbed her skirt to keep her from exposing herself on TV. The crowd around us laughed as my half-panicked, resigned face was shown on the screen. I sighed in relief as I noticed Yurai was wearing panties this time, and also groaned in annoyance as I realized it was a thong.
Where did she even GET a thong? My mind drifted back to where she had been floating while performing her tricks and figured someone might've seen, but most people aren’t peeking, trying to see a Pokémon's underwear....right? I sighed internally, thankful she had worn a knee-length skirt and not a miniskirt.
Yurai giggled as she continued shooting little bits of light and shadow from her fingertips.
"That was BEFORE we were on TV!" she retorted happily.
She continued giggling as I righted her and let her go to continue floating and dazzling the crowd. To my annoyance, she floated right in front of me to keep her light display going, only instead of a cute view of a banette gal performing tricks with her master, I got a ghost butt being shaken in my face. I can't say I didn't enjoy the view, but I had to tear my eyes away from her when I felt my blood rushing to my manhood.
The floats continued into the plaza of the prism tower, forming a circle around the tower that kept rolling onwards. It was like we were on a long, continuous stage as Pokémon began leashing the floats to each other, forming one long platform. I turned my back to the tower, waving to the crowd as I felt my body and mind become more and more clouded from Yurai's curse.
"What's wrong, masttttter?" Yurai giggled with cheerful mischief in her eyes.
"Shut up, you sex doll. My life was so much simpler before you," I groaned with no real heat to my words.
Yurai just giggled louder, settling onto my shoulders, her thighs on either side of my head.
"Yeah, but it was SOOOO boring."
I tried to ignore the fact that she was rubbing side to side on the back of my head, her skirt hiked up just enough for me to feel the fabric of her thong on the back of my neck.
"I hate when you're right," I groaned, trying to shake her off, only for her to lock her ankles together with a giggle.
"Now you're stuck with me."
"Stuck with a sewer gremlin."
"A sexy Sewer gremlin!"
Before I could think of a good response ( I knew I would think of one later and hate myself), I felt footsteps on the floats' platform and looked to my right to find William and Kara had walked from their float along with Grey and Eva.
"Father says we need a "reunion" from our expedition," Grey explained as he helped Eva from Andy's Float.
"Look at the six of us! Back together in Lumiose City!" William loudly exclaimed, striking a pose while Kara rolled her eyes.
"Indeed, father said it's good PR for us to get together occasionally, so get used to seeing us every once in a while."
I groaned, but the six of us all waved to the crowd as cameras flashed and several of the flying Pokémon with cameras hovered around us, filming for the TV.
"Look, look, we're on TV again," Yurai cheered happily as she grabbed my head and yanked it, turning me like a giant puppet.
On one of the screens behind us, I saw a view of us standing together here, juxtaposed with the six of us on our expedition in the wilds of the Albion region. We all looked the same, mostly since it hadn't been a long time since then, although Eva looked a lot less confused compared to then. She had just anthro evolved when that picture had been taken, so her confusion back then was warranted. As I gazed at the picture, I saw the chyron read "Rising stars of Albion". I was in the process of reading the scrolling words when Yurai forcibly twisted my head around to face the crowd.
"Don't look behind you at the screen, Master. We have fans!" She whispered excitedly, still rubbing her breasts on my head while bouncing on my shoulders.
"Ow," was all I groaned out as I tried to register her words. My eyes fell upon a sea of faces, some Pokémon, some human, some old, some young, but all looking at us as the floats slowly rotated around Prism Tower. Eva and Grey waved magnanimously, like they had prepared their whole lives to stand in front of a crowd. William started striking poses, throwing pokeballs out to children or overly excited adults. I stared for a bit, feeling like a fish out of water, until I felt Yurai stick her fingers into the corners of my mouth and pull them into a forced smile.
I shook my head to try to force her off, only to be latched onto like she was a trapinch, so I bit down (gently) on her fingers. Yurai made an exaggerated howl of pain, shaking her hands like I had bitten them off. Her antics were almost enough to make the curses clouding my mind, almost, but not enough. My eyes were drawn to the glowing mark on her womb, the curves of her body, and how her breasts jiggled as she bounced in midair. My mind barely recognized the crowd cheering as I felt the platform shake slightly. I managed to tear my eyes and mind away from Yurai, half convinced her curse must also have some hypnotic effect.
William, Kara, Grey, and Eva had all started moving to the next float to pose with whoever was on it while the music from one of the other floats changed songs to a more upbeat pop song that was popular at the moment. More people and Pokémon began moving from float to float, probably moving towards the music. Athena strolled by with her trainer, and I was shocked by her height. When I was on the ground and she was on the float, she had looked tall, and now that we were on level footing, I could see she was probably as tall or taller than a Dragonite. Other people and Pokémon passed as I felt the train of floats begin to slow.
I glanced at the monitors attached to the Prism tower to see that the "main" float had come to a stop in front of the tower. The crowds had begun moving towards the music, the impromptu concert drawing everyone to it. Was it impromptu? I hadn't really paid attention to the setups or the plan for the parade, but I saw a chance to get away from everyone.
"Time to go," I said quickly as I jumped off the float and peered around, looking for anywhere private.
"Ohhhh Master, what are you gonna do to your poor sex to-" Yurai quipped before I zipped her mouth shut and stuffed her under my arm like a large squirming football.
Luckily, no one heard her or paid much attention to us as I power walked to one of the clothing stores with Yurai kicking her legs like I was kidnapping her while making muffled laughing noises from her zipped mouth. Pushing my way inside the closest store, the first thing I noticed was how cool it was inside and how it made the sweat on my brow feel extra cold. The next thing I noticed was that the store was basically empty except for a Furfou who had been sleeping. It raised its head at me and started growling until I motioned to Yurai, and then one of the Dressing rooms.
"Wardrobe malfunction, just gotta fix it," I lied quickly.
The Pokémon seemed to accept my explanation because it put its head back down and closed its eyes. I heard it begin snoring as I pushed open the door to a dressing room and locked the door behind me. I finally released Yurai, who unzipped her mouth and looked around, her smile growing a little too wide.
"Ohhh, master, what's going on here? Finally going t-"
She wasn't able to finish because I let the curse I had been bottling up for the last hour free. I felt my hands grab her like they weren't really under my control, her skirt pulled down violently, and her thong ripped off. Yurai's grin was wide as her eyes almost burned in anticipation.
"You slutty little fuck doll," I growled as I grabbed her and shoved her against the large floor-length mirror, the side of her face reflected as it was pressed against it, and her zipper smile was predatory.
"Ooo, Master, what's wrong? Feeling a little h-"
"Shut. Up," I growled as I held her face to the mirror while pulling at my pants with one hand. When I finally got them loose, I pushed them down, not bothering to remove them fully as Yurai bit at her lip, watching me in the reflection. It looked a little weird with her zipper mouth, but I didn't care as I let my manhood spring free.
"You stupid slutty little Fucking doll," I growled again as I rubbed my manhood up and down Yurai's wetness.
"I’m your sex doll master," Yurai cooed in what I could tell was false bravado.
"Float there," I commanded.
Yurai nodded, her cheek pressed firmly to the mirror. I put my hand on her hips, steadying her body, and positioned my manhood against Yurai's slit. I pressed into her body, feeling her hotness envelope my shaft.
"Ohhhh Yessss master, use me, sate your lust," Yurai purred, grinding her hips slowly against mine.
Firmly held her love handle and slid my other hand under her shirt, grabbing her breast and pinching her nipple tight between two fingers. She gasped as I tugged it while pulling her hips against mine, pushing deep into her silken folds. Yurai was almost weightless in my hands as I began sliding my shaft back and forth into and out of her. Yurai let her long, striped tongue loll out of her mouth, and I thrust into her hard, letting the curse she inflicted on me drive my need to release.
I worked hard like a piston, savoring the hot tightness of Yurai.
"H-Harder master, Fuck your little sex doll," Yurai moaned loudly as her folds tightened around my manhood. I groaned from the pleasure, pressing Yurai harder against the mirror and pushing farther into her, making her gasp.
"M-Master! FUck me ha-"
I zipped her mouth shut with a quick motion. The last thing we needed was to call attention to ourselves. Yurai let out a muffled moan, her eyes glowing in merriment.
"Is this what you wanted, you brat? Me to use you like an onahole?" I groaned angrily, thrusting Yurai hard and getting a muffled "mhmmm"
My hands squeezed Yurai's breast and hip, and I pulled her against me to wrap an arm around her waist. She was light in my arms as I forced her up and down on me as I tugged hard on one of her nipples, she let out a quiet moan through her zipper, and I worked her.
As I held her in front of the mirror, the glowing heart over her womb pulsed with a manic red light with each thrust into her. With each thrust, it grew brighter and brighter as Yurai's moans became more and more frantic, her wetness tightening and quivering around my manhood. Her body spasmed in my arm as I thrust her down hard onto my shaft, her legs shaking hard while she moaned loudly against her zipped mouth.
The heart glowed bright as I kept using her as the sex toy she was, each thrust making her tighten more until she spasmed again.
With a quivering hand, she unzipped her mouth, her tongue rolling out of her mouth like a striped snake.
"M-mashtah I-im sho s-sensative, s-slow down," She half moaned, half whined.
"You wanted this, Yurai, you're gonna take it all," I growled, pushing her down harder than before, making Yurai gasp in shock.
"M-mashter, I-Im shorrry, b-be nice," she begged, only for me to thrust into her hard.
"You. Cursed. Me. And. This. Is. What. You. Get" I groaned out, thrusting hard into her and making her body quiver with each word.
"I'm Shorry, Master! I'll be good," Yurai pleaded as she lost control of her levitation. For the first time, I felt her full weight against me, but that didn't stop me; if anything, the sudden drop made her fall harder onto my shaft. That sudden drop made her wetness clench tight and sent me to my limit as wetness dripped from her.
"I'm gonna fill you, you dirty sex doll," I groaned as I pushed hard into her. Yurai nodded limply with her eyes on the mirror in front of us, her levitation reasserting as she struggled to regain control.
"F-fill your sex doll master...I n-need it," She gasped as I pushed hard into her
I let out a groan as I released into her, feeling my legs shake as I filled her. I let go of her breast to catch myself as I fell forward, supporting myself with the dressing room wall. Yurai stayed put on my manhood as her silken wetness seemed to massage my shaft and drain me for all I was worth.
"Soooo much," Yurai cooed, rubbing her tummy slightly as the heart started glowing brightly. I groaned, feeling like I was still filling her.
I managed to sit in the small dressing room as I kept spilling my seed into Yurai, holding her waist so none of it spilled.
Yurai's pleading look had melted away, replaced by an almost sinister smile as she began grinding her hips against mine, her eyes predatory.
"Give it allllllllll To me master," She said in a sing-song voice that echoed oddly. "Let your sex doll and the curse claim ALLLLLL your love"
I groaned as her body shivered with each pulse of my manhood as I filled her womb.
"F-fuck Yurai," I gasped as I leaned back against the wall of the dressing room. Yurai leaned her back against my chest, gyrating her hips to the sound of the music that permeated the shop.
"Mmmmm, you really wanted to breed this doll, didn't you?" Yurai teased, lifting herself slightly then dropping back down, sending a shockwave of pleasure through my body.
"S-shut up, it's your fault," I said, trying my best to look annoyed. I know I didn't because of the mirror, but I tried.
"Promise you won’t get bored with your sex doll?" Yurai asked with a sigh as I felt what had to be the last of my seed drained into her body.
I groaned as she wiggled against me, my manhood still inside her.
“Promise”
