IF YOU COMMENT ASKING ME TO PAY FOR A COMMISN OF ART YOUR COMMENT WILL BE DELETED.
While I would LOVE to see art of my work i will not be paying you for it. Your comment will be deleted.
If you’re new to the story, feel free to skim this or skip it entirely. This is a rewrite of my original work. I’ll be uploading the revised chapters over the next few days and, hopefully, posting a brand-new chapter this coming Friday or Saturday. If I d have it up by Saturday I will be posting the new chapter next Thursday.
Hello! I’m back—sorry for the long wait. I somehow managed to get sick twice (lucky me), and both my husband and daughter were sick as well. Super miserable. 10/10 do not recommend.
(Also, please don’t show up to parties sick.)
Im still sick, but I didn’t want too delay getting back into it any more, I wanted to post about a week ago but getting sick sidetracked me for a bit,
A few notes about this rewrite:
- Everything has been beta-read by both Beepboopbeep204 (go check out their story—I absolutely adore it!) and my husband.
- I’ve added several new scenes, along with expanded intent and additional POVs.
- Tom has been rewritten to feel colder and a bit more canon-compliant. He’s still extremely obsessive, but now he rationalizes it more convincingly in his head.
- You’ll be able to track Harry’s mental state by the amount of Spanish he uses. He’ll always slip in a little, sometimes much more, including full sentences and phrases. Most people around him won’t understand—this is 1940s England. While I don’t want to lean into overt racism, I do want to acknowledge that people won’t always understand what he’s saying.
- In the scenes with Deirdre(death) and any elves, harry will pretty much just be speaking English.
- Harry takes much longer to stop viewing Tom as the enemy. He won’t be openly hostile, but his internal monologue carries more frustration and resentment toward him.
- I’ve added another short Quidditch scene. I struggled a bit with the flow, so if it feels choppy, apologies in advance.
- The Scamanders appear more in later chapters with small, noticeable interactions.
- I’ve expanded Deirdre’s (Death’s) internal thoughts and lengthened both the Samhain scene and the Día de los Muertos chapter. Samhain has been moved into the previous chapter, and I added a surprise chapter between Samhain and Día de los Muertos to give important backstory context.
- I’ve condensed the overall chapter count from 31 down to 29 by merging content. If anything feels out of place or confusing, please let me know—I love community feedback and collaboration.
Also, This story will be split into archs, starting with Arch one - An attempt at friendship and developing from there, i will mark the star and end of each arch
Without further ado…
