Chapter Text
On the school bus to an all-boys school, the boys grapple with discovering their true desires while facing the pressure of a toxic worldview about masculinity. Among them, a young blond boy in a dark purple uniform with gold trim and a fox-head emblem sleeps, recalling his favorite childhood storybook, "The Forgotten Voice of the World."
*Childhood flashback*
Sara Arc: "Long ago, in a world where souls are reborn in the ocean of life, an unknown abomination attacked, hoping to consume the ocean and become whole. The sea's inhabitants fought bravely. When they defeated the creature, they split its consciousness into eight cores. They sealed its essence in different forms: the Eyes of Memory, Arms of Destruction, Voice of Command, Fingers of Creation, Heart of Nourishment, Faces of Change, Legs that Guide, and the Void that Embraces. These forms spread across worlds and realities. But the inhabitants know the abomination will return, able to steal the values others treasure to break its seals and become whole again."
The bus speaker wakes the young blond boy: "Attention, all students, we are two minutes away from the school. Please keep all items out of the walkway." He sighs, stretches his numb legs from sitting too long, and takes out his phone to text his online friend.
"Black heart: "Hey, I heard you got to the Academy!"
"White Knight:" Yeah, but the drive was so long that I fell asleep."
"Black heart: Yeah, the drive can be long when I started, anyway. Which dorm are you in?"
"White Knight: I will be in the Black Lotus dorm."
"Black heart: Oh! I am in that dorm as well! See you soon, buddy. ❤️"
The blond was about to close his phone when he got one last text. He raises his eyebrow and taps the message.
"Black heart: Oh, yeah, before I forget, you will have a fellow first-year. It's a sexy guy, but he's mischievous."
"White Knight: Oh, ok, hope he doesn't cause trouble for me on my first Day here."
The blond sighs as he closes his phone. The bus stops at the school entrance, marked by two fox statues. Suddenly, he senses someone watching him. He looks around but sees no one. As he glances at a fox statue, it seems like eyes are looking back at him—just stone eyes, he realizes. Shaking his head in disbelief, he heads into the school for orientation.
"Jaune: Come on, Jaune, it's just a statue. Don't be paranoid." he tells himself to stay calm. Dragging his luggage, Jaune looks at the school: a castle-like structure with a modern touch. Fox statues appear throughout, except at the entrances, in the dorms, and at the sports centers.
Jaune hands his luggage to a Staff member at the open door—a handsome young man who takes it and gives Jaune a keycard reading "Teacher AD: 'locker-469.' You will find your belongings there. Hope you enjoy your college years at Luxuria Academy." the butler says in a friendly, deep voice. The blond blushes slightly. "Jaune: Ahh, thank you." he replies. Excited, he heads to orientation, ready for a new phase in life.
