Chapter Text
Finally, they kissed. And it was as if every interruption, every tense glance, and every painful lie had been worth it. He was careful. He cupped her cheek as if touching an ancient work of art and closed his eyes.
He didn't know where to go from there - in his mind there was a blank page between kissing and getting into bed. He barely had a second to worry about his lack of a plan before Gaby deepened the kiss. Every though vanished from his mind, and why wouldn't they? He didn't need thoughts now. Not with Gaby right there in his arms, and a locked door behind them, and a long night of travel through Yugoslavia.
The back of Gaby's knees hit the bed. Had he been pushing her? Or she pulling him? It was definitely him who lifted her up and climbed onto the bed.
Getting their clothes off was a mess, both pairs of arms insisting that they go first and rushing to undo buttons and clasps. They only stopped kissing for a moment to let Gaby's dress pass over her head. Once they were appropriately undressed, the panic subsided. Illya looked at her, took her in the way he had wanted to do since the first time they went dress shopping. She had the body of a mechanic, narrow enough to fit under a car with muscles nearly enough to lift one. His hands moved slowly, he wanted to touch every inch of her, but he wanted to take his time. She seemed to feel the same, her hands gliding over his back, his arms, his sides. He could feel her callouses - he hadn't thought his skin was this sensitive.
At some point, they moved from sitting on top of each other to lying down. "I... I haven't shaved. Sorry about that, it's a forest down there."
"Why is that a bad thing?" asked Illya. "A forest is preferable to a... desert. From what I've heard it's dry and horrible. A forest is somewhere you would want to stay. Somewhere you could get lost in." Get lost in... He remembered the last time he got lost in Gaby. Then, it was because his fingers wanted to go somewhere entirely different than where they were supposed to go. Now, they found the place on her thighs the transmitter had been. They moved inwards, almost of their own accord.
"Remember what Cowboy asked?"
"When?"
"He said 'Are we all turned on now'. That man has a dirty mind." Gaby laughed
"Are you saying he was imagining things? Because if so, I was too."
"What were you imagining?"
"Quite a lot of things..." She smiled and took his hand, the one that had been wandering slowly up her thigh.
"Your hands are still a little cold" she remarked. He went to rub them together, but thought better of it. He reached around her buttock "May I warm them here?"
"Yes." She lifted herself up, and then his hands were trapped between her and the mattress. She kissed him again, and the feeling of her arms on him while his were so cruelly trapped was too much for him to think or talk any more. He held onto her, squeezed her as much as he could manage, and her little sighs told him he was at least doing something right.
He didn't know how longed they stayed like this. He just knew that at some point he couldn't take it anymore, he had to touch her. He still didn't know where he was going, and the hair made it difficult to see, but he was determined. He found a hole first. It was slippery, and he despite his larger fingers he could easily slide one in. She closed her eyes and made a high strangled sort of sound. Her hand found his, and she guided his thumb to a nub further up. The sounds she made when he touched it were even more beautiful, and once again time stopped. He didn't want her to stop making those sounds, ever. He kept moving his fingers, moved some of the wetness to the nub and eventually he added another finger inside her.
"Don't stop" She breathed. Quite unnecessarily, he had no plans of stopping. She began breathing faster, pushing her hips up towards his hand. Her nails dug into his back. He felt her muscles clench around the fingers inside her. It was almost painful to keep moving, but he did until her hand stilled him. She was still breathing heavily, but not so quickly now.
"Did I hurt you?"
"No." She replied
"Not at all. The opposite, really."
