ACT I
After going through tough personal ordeals, a great journey of learning and discovery and an adventure like no other, Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde have professed their love for each other, and now they are bound to start a new adventure together, choosing to make it official in the best way there is…with intimacy.

This one gesture warms Kitty's heart in ways she never felt for a long time, since she knows how it feels to be in love, but not so deeply in love like she is right now, feeling that even if they are just starting to become serious, this could be the one.
She always thought that Piotr Rasputin, her X-Men teammate known as Colossus, could be the one. Years and years spent together, time and again being closer to one another, but there always some factor that kept them apart. Whether it was him being in love with an alien, to her being trapped inside a giant space bullet, to even him being dead by the Legacy Virus or his taking of the powers of Cyttorak, there was always more elements that drove them apart than together, and she realized that before she married him, even if it was at the very last second and left him in the altar and even with some words from her best friend and almost sister-in-law, she realized they were not meant to be, and it was for the best to leave it be.
Her other relationships did not fare any better in retrospective. Pete Wisdom ranks at one of the lowest of her list, since aside from the factors like the wider age difference in comparison to the others, it all went down to a matter of trust, which Wisdom lacked after she confessed her attraction to a fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, but even after she confirmed that nothing ever happened, he failed to trust in her and that drove them apart, and even leaving in bad terms.
Other ones like Seth or Bobby Drake, her teammate known as Iceman, were doomed to failure, almost since day one. Seth's case was because of his nefarious intentions against Earth and his crazy belief that she was an alien as well as he was, which ranks him even lower than Wisdom. In Iceman's case, this was long before he came out as gay, as well as the case that she felt that he never took the relationship with the same seriousness she did, even after he confessed how much he tried to be a better man, but that relationship failed to blossom after the 'Future Brotherhood/Future X-Men' incident involving the time-displaced Original X-Men under her ward. At least in his case, they both grew beyond that ad kept a good mutual friendship, even during her time with the Marauders.
The last relationship she had before Piotr was Peter Quill, the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy known as Star-Lord. It was a different kind of relationship, and in their own way they felt a sort of kinship, but this led to a rushed engagement, then leading to scarce time for each other because of his duties, as well as his attitude and lack of true commitment, which went both ways. After the Second Superhuman Civil War, she ended things abruptly, reasoning that it was such a rushed relationship that it did not felt true to her heart, just like every other relationship, this one was not meant to be.
But now she has in front of her the man who makes her feel the happiest she ever has been, someone who can give her much needed appreciation, someone who truly respects and values her mind and intelligence, someone who not only lives for her, but also fights with her side by side, and even when others may say that his jokes are terrible –and some of them are- he makes her laugh, and even when he is not joking, he always manages to bring a smile to her face, a man who is noble and a hero, a genius and a family man, two sides of the same coin, and she is deeply in love with all that he is.
"I know I keep sounding like a broken record but…I'll never stop thanking you for everything" Kitty whispers, recalling how important he became for her since they met "You are beyond Amazing, Peter Parker…and is just part of everything that makes me feel that you deserve the world" she adds, gently extending her had to touch his face.
"I'm just your simple boy from Queens" he jokes, prompting Kitty to laugh quietly.
"That boy from Queens is everything I ever wanted" she smiles as she starts stroking his hair "Noble, Gentle, Funny, Smart, Brave, greater than anyone I've met" she adds "You are everything I always envisioned with someone I'd want to be with, what kind of woman wouldn't fall in love with someone like you?"
"There's quite a list" Peter jokes, although it also highlights one of his flaws, yet Kitty remains undeterred.
"Their loss is my gain" she replies "Because I won't ever, ever let you go" she whispers "And I don't want you to feel bad ever again, for I will do everything in my power to make you happy" she adds "I'll take care of your heart, just as I know you'll take care of mine"
"Even when my arachnid life interferes?" Peter asks, bringing out his biggest fear, the one that practically has ruined every other relationship he has had.
"Even with the 'Thwip-Thwip' stepping in, because everything you are, both Peter and Spidey, is what I'm in love with" Kitty replies, still smiling at him, reassuring her firm believe that he is the one for her, just like this confirms that she is the one for him, the one he always hoped to find, because Peter's love life is one of the messiest ever, with a long list of heartbreaks, and even tragedy thrown in.
Aside from the serious relationships he had, he also had his share of short-lived ones. The very first one being Betty Brandt, his former work colleague at the Bugle, having spent a few dates only to end when she blamed Spider-Man for her brother's death and he refused to listen to her warnings of staying away from him, not knowing they were one and the same, yet they kept a solid friendship through the years. He had other short-ones like Debra Whitman, Carlie Cooper, Cindy Moon and Bobbi Morse, all of them being failures in one way or another, but with the common element of being 'ruined' by Spider-Man.
With Debra it was her constant nervousness that was confused with paranoia, which threw a wedge in that relationship beyond repair, her insistence about Peter's identity as Spider-Man almost cost her own mental health, and it took quite the effort to repair thanks to the distance. With Carlie it was the 'lying', how he kept the distance with her even when she is a member of the law enforcement and failed to trust her with his identity like he did with the other ones, and that combined with the dangers she faced in the superhuman world, even spending a brief period of time afflicted by the Goblin Serum, forced her to take a distance, but she has retained a friendship with him.
In the case of Cindy, or Silk as she is also known, it never went to the level of a relationship, because there was nothing emotional about it, it was entirely physical due to the nature of the 'Arachnid Connection', since they were both bitten by the same spider and said connection lures to a strong physical attraction when every time they spend together in closeness, the more they give in to their primal urges to mate; Fortunately, the distance helped and both managed to fight back and suppress the urges, keeping a solid friendship. With Morse, his Avengers colleague known as Mockingbird, it was just a 'spur of the moment' fling, a relationship that came about during the period she worked with him in Parker Industries, but after the company's downfall following HYDRA's Takeover, they both realized that aside from being superheroes and scientists, they had nothing else in common, and they knew a serious relationship would never work.
But then comes the meaningful relationships that his life as Spider-Man hurt the deepest. Gwen Stacy was his first love and she could have been the one, but her father's death threw a wrench that became almost irreparable, which was worsened after her death, and even further with the discovery of her affair with Norman Osborn. Felicia Hardy, the thief known as Black Cat, was different, but the situation was a matter of trust and her own disdain for Peter's civilian side, as she always gave preference to Spider-Man over the plain man from Queens.
And then comes Mary Jane Watson, the longest history he has in terms of romance; years of May trying to pair them up almost paid off, and after several attempts, they almost marry. But his life as Spider-Man interfered once again and she ended thing abruptly. Years healed the wounds but it became an on-and-off relationship with the common element of her loving Peter but staying away because of Spider-Man. There was no one who could truly appreciate and value the balance, the man and the spider, but then Kitty Pryde entered into his life, and the void was finally filled.
They both have so much in common: Both started being superheroes in their early teens, they both know the burden of being young and trying to take a stand in an adult world, they are both geniuses in their own rights, they have lost a lot along the way, family and friends alike, and in spite of the obvious differences, they both find a great link of empathy that becomes stronger as they come together, and this is the time where it becomes evident, with both of them knowing how their love connects them, makes them stronger and bounds them together.
"I love you Kitty Pryde" Peter whispers, smiling at her.
"I love you Peter Parker" Kitty replies, coming closer to him and softly kiss his lips, snuggling next to him while he covers them with the sheets "This is the start of something new, and very good, for both of us" she smiles at him, looking into his eyes.
"It's a start, but I know we'll work hard to go all the way, because I want to go all the way with you" Peter replies, cuddling her and stroking her hair.
"Me too Peter, all the way with you" Kitty whispers, smiling at his gestures "And I'm not only talking about the romance" she then lifts her face "I don't want you to feel alone anymore, to feel that heavy burden every day"
"I know" Peter replies "You told me that I shouldn't do this anymore…and you're right" he smiles at her "It's a learning curve, but it's something I'm more than willing to try out" he adds, playfully poking at her tip of her nose, prompting Kitty to giggle.
"So that officially makes me your new crime-fighting partner?" Kitty giddily asks, to which Peter replies nodding his head "Because I'd really love to be that" she adds, pecking her lips with his.
"You don't mind the change of pace? Because you know I don't fight the type of enemies the X-Men use to fight…or at least not as often as you do" Peter comments, pointing out how different his crime-fighting is from what she is accustomed to with the X-Men or the Guardians, he deals with bank robbers, criminal organizations, occasionally deals with super-villains and he barely handles 'end-of-the-world' situations unless is a team-up with a higher player.
"I don't mind it, I really could use the change of pace…new stuff, new situations, I'd be on that learning curve too" Kitty replies, showing her eagerness to join Peter in his duty as superheroes "I'll even dust off the ol' 'Shadowcat' name" she now proclaims that she will return to use the Shadowcat moniker as his partner.
"Spider-Man and Shadowcat…I like the sound of that" Peter comments, laughing a bit, kissing Kitty once again, hearing her giggle as her response.
"So many adventures we're gonna have ahead of us" Kitty gently caresses his face.
"But right now, is time for a well deserved rest" Peter replies, yawning as he begins to fade away and fall asleep
"Rest well, my love" Kitty whispers, snuggling with him as she also starts to fall asleep, satisfied with how things are starting to flow with Peter, a new loving relationship and a new crime-fighting partnership born in one night, a sign of great things to come for both of them.
ACT III
Few hours merely have passed since they fell asleep, but not every night is bound to be silent, and Kitty is starting to find that out when the muffled noise of men talking and other sounds are pounding nearby. Kitty is the first one to wake up by the sounds, looking at Peter who surprisingly is still asleep.
"Wow, either he's a heavy sleeper or he's already used to the noise" Kitty thinks for herself while she moves from the bed using her phasing powers to avoid waking up Peter. She puts back her panties and grabs the shirt of Peter's Spider-Man suit, sneaking out of the room to search for the source of the noises, and to her dismay, she quickly finds out what it is "You have to be fucking kidding me…"
Fred and Randy, Peter's roommates, drunk as hell, babbling and trying to play 'Call of Duty: Latveria' on Fred's Xbox, being even more annoying that his usual standard, and Randy along for the ride since they live together and they're friends.
"Younowshomdng? Deesh game issh kewler whunyouplayganst Korean kidssh" Fred tries to talk in his drunken state "Deyrshoeeshie dobeet" he adds, chuckling very loudly in the end.
"Ahknow, ahknow, yoowannabeedem" Randy replies, also totally drunk "AhhaftacawlJanish" Randy comments as he grabs his phone and tries to call his on-and-off girlfriend Janice, the Beetle.
"Well, those schmucks ain't gonna ruin my night with Pete so…is time to deal with some drunk morons" she muses, preparing to deal with Peter's drunken roommates, just as she used to do back in her college days in Chicago during her bartending job.
She sneaks with her ninja training to the back of the couch where they are both sitting, playing with their Xbox as she waits for the right moment to make her strike. Randy stands up and walks away heading to the kitchen while Fred is blurring some drunken insults to his online rival.
"Wut? Wut? Wunnuhcalyamomma? Cantcaushyooronline! Youreshkwityaloos!" he mutters in his drunken state but then he is suddenly phased underneath the couch all the way to the floor below "AHAMAHA! Whuramah? Wutdafuck!?" Fred looks around totally confused and scared until he is hit with the cushions of the couch, making him tumble to the wall, giving Kitty the space to tackle him and again phase him through the wall to the next apartment, knocking him out on the fall. Right then she grabs him and drags him through the building, thankful that the neighbors are sleeping heavily. Kitty finally reaches the outer wall and sends Fred straight into the garbage dumpster where he now lies knocked down and waiting for the second one.
"One down, one to go" Kitty thinks as she uses her intangibility to levitate back to the upper floors and heads back to the apartment where she finds Randy drunkenly moping over the phone.
"ImisshyooshomushJanish! Pleeshcombackpleeeeeeesh!" Randy cries over the phone with a very overdramatic tone, to which Kitty rolls her eyes in borderline disgust
"Dear God, Randy…" she thinks while she sneaks behind him and puts him on a sleeper hold "This is for your own good Rand" she mutters while she drags him through the building with her phasing powers until they reach the outer side and she drops him over the dumpster, landing right on top of Fred
"OW!" Randy mutters but then falls unconscious, not knowing that Fred is right next to him.
"Messhuggas" she walks back to the apartment dusting off her hands and then she does the same with the shirt, noticing that she is wearing Spidey's suit, causing her to giggle a bit "Spider-Kitty, Spider-Kitty, does whatever she wants with Petey" she sings while she walks and then spots the object of annoyance: Fred's Xbox One, and right then a slightly mean idea pops into her mind "So this is Fred's Xbox…it would be a shame if anything happens to it" she mutters while she walks towards the console, turns off the T.V. and then phases her hand into the console, effectively wrecking it "Whoops!" she mutters while she takes of her hand and walks away, stopping right then when she spots something else.
On a chair nearby, Lockheed and Gog watch with awe what Kitty did, looking at her as if they were saying 'Damn, Girl!', to which she walks towards them with squinted eyes and a slight frown on her face.
"Arrooo?" Lockheed roars a bit, wondering what she will say
"You two saw nothing" Kitty warns them with a slightly stern voice. Lockheed and Gog look at each other and the dragon nods as if he is saying 'Do as she says and no one gets hurt' and then she slowly lies down to 'fall asleep' while Gog grabs the KFC bucket and puts it back on his head "Hmmm" Kitty nods and then walks back to the bedroom, yawning and stretching her arms while she phases through the door, looking at her boyfriend still asleep, smiling at the sight while she walks to the bed and lies down right next to him.
"Hmmm? Sumthinhuppn?" Peter mutters in his sleep while Kitty snuggles next to him.
"Don't worry Sweetie, go back to sleep" Kitty coos while she comes closer to him.
"MkayHunyGnight" Peter mutters, falling asleep again while he snuggles with his girlfriend.
"Goodnight Baby" Kitty kisses his cheek and falls asleep next to him, content with spending the night in his arms as she wants to do, because she will not let anything or anyone ruin her nights with the man she fell in love with.
