Chapter Text
Marinette was lost. Those were the same words running through her head after Gabriel's death. But this was different.
Last time Adrian didn't find out his father was Monarch. Last time her team didn't find out she lied. Last time she didn't have to face the disappointed glares and betrayed looks her teammates were giving her after they found out. Last time her friends didn't leave her. Last time he didn't leave her. Last time she wasn't really lost. This time she was, literally.
Why the fuck did every part of Gotham look the same!?
Marinette was regretting the decision of walking instead of just using the horse miraculous by the time she arrived to her already furnished apartment. She decorated it some time ago when she won the scholarship to Gotham Academy.
Marinette, being as desperate as she was to get out of Paris, applied to not one, but three scholarship programs. Fashion (being her passion), singing (so as not to be mingling) and dancing (instead of prancing). She somehow got on all three extracurricular programs and had to go to two extra classes. Yayy… great...-note the sarcasm.
Ever since the 'final battle’ , Marinette had a fire burning inside of her. She had loved and had been loved. She had hated and been hated. She had betrayed and had been betrayed. So she did the only thing she could: she used the fire escape.
