Chapter Text
A notification from tinder popped up on the lock screen, announcing a new match.
Gavi stopped cutting the cucumber for his salad and smirked as he picked up his phone. He quickly unlocked it and opened the dating app. A profile with the name Marco had sent him a text message.
M: Hey, what’s up?
G: Not much, I’m bored
M: soooo….up for some fun? ;)
G: always
M: come to my place I’ll send you the address
G: I’ll be there
Gavi checked out the address Marco had sent and grinned when he saw that it was only ten minutes away by car.
Another fish is on the hook.
He left the kitchen and walked into his bedroom to change into different clothes. Gavi quickly slipped on grey joggers and a black shirt. He grabbed the dark blue Nike backpack he always took with him and grabbed his keys on the way out.
While locking his door he reminisced everything he knew about Marco.
He preferred the mountains over the beach, his favourite colour was orange, he liked hiking and his favourite football team was Real Madrid.
Gavi had to stop himself from frowning in disgust, Marco was everything he disliked.
But he’d do for the night.
The drive to the house was short. Gavi only had a few minutes to get in a good mood. He listened to his favourite songs and soon enough he was excited to see Marco. Tonight would be fun.
He managed to put a seductive smile on his face before stepping out of the car. The street was quiet and dark. Gavi spotted people in other houses, watching tv or eating dinner at a big table. Marco lived in one of the richer streets in Barcelona.
Gavi took one last look at the neighbouring houses before ringing the doorbell. Nobody paid attention to house number 23, even when the light switched on in the hallway.
A blonde, tall man with blue eyes opened the door. Probably Swedish, maybe German. He looked exactly like in his photos on tinder. At least one positive thing. Gavi hated when people lied about their looks online.
“There you are! Come in.” Marco greeted him and stepped aside to let Gavi in.
Definitely German, the accent gave it away.
“Do you want a drink?” The man offered. Gavi almost rolled his eyes. He disliked small talk.
Out of pure politeness he asked for water. “You’re not from here, your accent sounds German.” Gavi stated, maybe small talk wasn’t too bad to get comfortable with Marco.
Marco nodded. “That’s because I am from Germany. Berlin to be exact.”
“What brought you to Barcelona?”
“University. I signed up for an Erasmus program and they took me. I liked Spain so much that I’ve decided to stay here while I’m studying.”
Gavi tested the waters. “Nice, Barcelona is a good choice. Especially because you get to watch the best football team in your free time.”
“Not really my style.” Marco pointed at the Real Madrid scarf that hung on the wall.
Gavi slowly started to become annoyed. He didn’t come over for a chitchat. It was fine for a moment, enough to get close but not enough to care.
“The different teams didn’t seem like a problem when we matched on tinder, are you still up for it or kicking me out because I like Barça better?”
He was joking, mostly. But some Real Madrid fans were crazy when it came to defending their club.
Marco laughed. “It’s not that serious. My bedroom is that way.”
Gavi was satisfied with that answer and followed the man. As soon as the door behind him closed he pulled his shirt over his head and waited for the other man to do the same.
When Gavi started unbuckling his belt Marco asked him a rather unwanted question. “So how did you know that you’re gay?”
Irritated, Gavi stopped fumbling with his belt and stared at the taller man. “I don’t do the small talk thing.” Then he pulled Marco’s pants down and pushed him on the bed. “Where’s your lube?” He hoped that the man wouldn’t complain.
“I already prepped myself.” Great, Marco got it. No talking, no more questions. This would be quick.
“Turn around.” Marco did as he was told and pushed his lower half in the air towards Gavi.
But Gavi didn’t do anything. Marco wiggled his ass impatiently. “What’s taking you so long?”
In a swift motion Gavi grabbed one of the pillows next to him and put it down on the other man’s head. Marco dropped onto the bed and tried to free himself but Gavi only pushed him deeper into the bed. “You can’t escape me.”
He heard Marco’s muffled screams in the mattress and felt legs kick him. “Shhh, it’s over soon.”
After a few seconds the body under him slumped into the mattress and went still.
Gavi removed the pillow and turned Marco around. His eyes stared at the ceiling. Gavi smiled and put his clothes back on. With one last look at the other man he rolled his eyes.
“Moving to Barcelona was your first mistake.”
Then he got his backpack from the living room and cleaned the crime scene. He removed any hints as efficiently as his victims.
First, he put on gloves as well as shoe covers and then he got to work. This part of his routine was satisfying and relaxing, almost therapeutic. The cleaning was like a reward for the killing.
He sprayed a liquid over Marco that would remove any evidence of Gavi, like spit or fingerprints. That was especially useful after all the body contact.
Then he picked up his belongings and took out his scanner. It worked like he did.
Quick and silent. The device picked up all the clues the police would find, but this way Gavi could remove them.
They would never find him.
Gavi made his way through the house and closed the door quietly to not alarm any neighbours. Rich people always suspected anyone trying to break into their expensive homes at night. Luckily nobody noticed the black car in the driveway. Gavi jumped into his vehicle and drove off without leaving any trace.
Back on the main street he hummed along to a song playing on the radio. Tonight was a lot quicker than other days.
Sometimes men wanted to be face to face with him which made killing them a bit more difficult as they weren’t so caught off guard.
Other times Gavi actually had to roll on a condom or touch the men to make it more believable.
And Gavi hated that. Also the conversations. And Marco’s question was no exception.
Gavi isn’t gay.
Quite the opposite actually.
He hated queers.
So he made it his business to kill as many of them as he could.
He found that the easiest way to do so was to trick them into a one night-stand. Because most gay men wanted the same. It’s hard for them to find a partner so they just take what they get.
Gavi made a profile on tinder during the last pride month. In his profile he stated that he was looking for fun and nothing serious and that he’s always available. He filled it with lots of fotos and descriptions of his person.
He made sure to delete the match and chat with his victims so he wouldn’t seem suspicious in case someone investigated the murders.
But that rarely happened. Gavi was careful, none of his victims lived in the same area, he let some time pass before attacking again and his victims weren’t really social, nobody would’ve cared about them anyway.
Just another hookup, his job here was done.
Marco wasn’t the first.
And he wouldn’t be the last.
