Hazbin Hotel/Suicide Squad story where Amanda Waller, seeing Charlie and her redemption project as a front for a potential threat to national, or even global security, dispatches a new iteration of Task Force X via the DHORKS Hell Portal with the objective to kill her, catching her disastrous interview on a nearby tv screen when they first arrive in hell.
But when they get there, and see her true kind, sweet personality for themselves, they begin to have second thoughts, and so do everything within their control to stall the mission for as long as they can, all the while the events of the canon show unfold around them.
When Waller realizes this, incensed at their perceived betrayal, she sends in another, more ruthless Squad to both retrieve the first, and to finish the job, the latter arriving just before the early extermination, and being forced to fight alongside the first Squad/the Hotel crew against the attacking angels.
(By the way, the lineup for the first Squad is as follows: Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, King Shark, Clayface, Killer Frost, and Doctor Phosphorus;
while the second Squad’s roster is made up of: Deathstroke, Peacemaker, Katana, Killer Croc, Enchantress, Thinker, Cheetah and Firefly)
