Half an hour later, with smokescreen walking in front the two younglings were walking side by side heading towards the lake.
"Step lively down there." Smokescreen called. "The sooner we get to the lake the sooner we can leave." Smokescreen had not been pleased about being put on babysitting duty. Why could have grimlock Seto have done it? He had been right there. Yep. Not pleased at all.
Seeing the smokescreen was thinking to himself, strongarm decided to speak to sideswipe about where they were really going.
"So where are we really going to?"
"Decepticon Island." Sideswipe answered, trying to sound unconcerned, but his voice betrayed his excitement.
"Wow." Strongarm cried.
"Shhhhhhh!" Sideswipe hissed. "Smokescreen, remember?"
Oh, right." Yugi began brainstorming. "So how are we gonna ditch the drip?"
Smokescreen turn around again to see the two children whispering to each other. What happened next he simply couldn't help. He sighed.
Oh just look at you two." said smokescreen as he walk towards them. Sideswipe and strongarm stopped talking and looked at each other. Had smokescreen overheard them talking?
"Little seeds of romance blossoming in earth." Smokescreen continued. Sideswipe and strongarm barley kept their sighs of relief from escaping. "Your parents will be thrilled, what with your being betrothed and all."
Be-what-ed?" Sideswipe asked, not knowing the meaning of that word.
"Betrothed. Intended. Affianced." But with every word the minicon spoke the more confused the two got.
"Meaning?" Strongarm asked.
Fixit, looked at the two. "One day you two are going to be married."
"Yuck!" Sideswipe looked like he had swallowed some stale engeron.
"I can't marry her." Sideswipe protested. "She's my friend!"
"Yeah!" Strongarm added her two cents worth. "It'd be too weird."
"Well, sorry to burst your bubble," smokescreen said starting to lead them to the lake again. "But you two turtle-doves don't have any choice." Sideswipe winked at Strongarm and started to mimic smokescreen. "It's a tradition, going back generations." Rolling his eyes, Sideswipe spoke up.
Sideswipe : Well when I'm leader that will be the first thing to go.
"Not so long as I'm around." Smokescreen said, turning back to the prince, who ran up to him.
Sideswipe : Then in that case, you're fired."
Smokescreen : Nice try, but only the leader can do that."
"Well he's the future leader." Strongarm said come up on smokescreen's other side of his leg.
"Yeah." Sideswipe said smugly. "So you have to do what I tell you." He poked smokescreen leg, causing him to fall of balance.
Not yet I don't." Smokescreen said sternly, regaining his balance. "And with an attitude like that, I'm afraid you're shaping up to be a pretty pathetic leader or prime indeed." Smokescreen lengthened his strides till he was ahead of the two trouble makers.
Hmph." Sideswipe smirked, ready to put plan ditch babysitter into action. "Not the way I see it.
Sideswipe : I'm gonna be a mighty leader so enemies beware!
Smokescreen : Well, I've never seen a leader of beasts with quite so crazy hair
Sideswipe : I'm gonna be the mane event like no king was before." I'm brushing up on looking down I'm working on my ROAR!
Smokescreen : Thus far, a rather uninspiring thing
Sideswipe : Oh, I just can't wait to be leader!"
Skidding to a halt in the shallows, Smokescreen looked at the young boy.
"You've rather a long way to go, young master, if you think-" But sideswipe interrupted.
Sideswipe : No one saying do this." (While sideswipe sang strongarm made a face at smokescreen while his back was turned.
Smokescreen : Now when I said that, I–
getting the feeling that something was happening, smokescreen quickly turned to look at strongarm. Strongarm just innocently looked at smokescreen and sang.
Strongarm : No one saying be there
Smokescreen : What I meant was...
When strongarm started to smirk at the face sideswipe was making, smokescreen turned back to the prince, who dropped the face and just sang.
Sideswipe : No one saying stop that."
Smokescreen : Look, what you don't realize…
Smokescreen stuttered before turning back to strongarm. The innocent little girl made a pig face at smokescreen while singing with sideswipe.
Sideswipe & Strongarm : No one saying see here
And the two ran off leaving smokescreen seething.
Smokescreen Now see here!
Sideswipe: Free to run around all day
Smokescreen : Well that's defiantly out
Smokescreen said, shaking himself transforming into vehicle mode and drove after them.
Sideswipe : Free to do it all my way!
Sideswipe couldn't believe his plan was going so well. It just caused him to grin even more.
Smokescreen drove in his vehicle mode quickly to get in front of the prince and his friend. When he did, he turned and drove backwards to speak to them.
Smokescreen : think it's time that you and I Arranged a heart to heart
Smokescreen crashed into tree in bot mode Sideswipe smirked while strongarm laughed her head off.
Sideswipe : leaders don't need advice from Mr know- it -all for a start."
"Smokescreen : If this is where the monarchy is headed
Count me out!
Out of service, out of Earth I wouldn't hang about
This child is getting wildly out of wing
Sideswipe: Oh, I just can't wait to be leader!
Sideswipe : Everybody look left
Everybody look right
Everywhere you look I'm Standing in the spotlight
Smokescreen : Not yet!
"Let every creature go for broke and sing
Let's hear it in the herd and on the wing
It's gonna be king sideswipe finest fling."
Sideswipe and strongarm joined the rest of the bots as they made a pyramid with the two younglings on the top.
"Oh I just can't wait to be leader!
Oh I just can't wait to be leader!
Oh I just can't waaaaaait ... to be leader!"
