Chapter Text
The atmosphere hums with an eerie stillness. A massive, cathedral-like space floats in the void. Inside, the floor is made of smooth, dark stone while the walls fluctuate between polished obsidian and softly glowing panels of ethereal light. Abstract murals flicker and shift on the surfaces, sometimes serene landscapes, other times pure static. There is no visible ceiling. Instead, a vast haze of stars, nebulae, and shifting clouds glows dimly overhead, giving the illusion of a sky that doesn't belong to any world. Giant, arch-shaped windows stretch from floor to ceiling. They reveal a swirling liminal abyss outside; gray fog, disintegrating colors, and distant lights with no discernible source. Plush couches, thrones, minimalist chairs, beanbags, and even alien loungers are scattered around in cozy-yet-chaotic clusters. The seating is mismatched and contradictory, some too small, others unnecessarily grand, as if designed to insult the egos of those seated. Embedded in one wall is a glowing pantry that opens to reveal a large supply of snacks, meals, and drinks, along side it is a carved out kitchen area with a large, metallic refrigerator on the right side of the counters, and all other appliances such as a toaster, oven, microwave, air fryer, etc reside on the left side. A massive screen with floating control panels offers access to thousands of shows, films, and video games from all multiverses. Board games, chessboards, a pool table, and empty karaoke all reside in this strange room.
In the center, a single long couch sits, occupied by one figure:
TOGURO (Younger) — a hulking wall of muscle in dark slacks, a green blazer, and sharp, black sunglasses that make no sense in a room with no sun. His posture is relaxed, but his stillness resembles threat.
He sits hunched forward, elbows on knees, more silent and unmoving than a gargoyle in thought.
SUDDENLY—
ZAP!
A brilliant flash of blue and gold light explodes in the center of the room.
Out of it step:
BEERUS — a tall, hairless purple cat-like god with narrowed eyes and zero patience.
And WHIS — elegant, pale-blue, floating, smiling like he’s watching a comedy.
The energy crackles for a moment, then fizzles out. Toguro is unfazed by the presence.
Beerus carries a very displeased FRIEZA... by the tail. Mimicking a sleek, white and violet suitcase.
FRIEZA
(struggling, humiliated)
"Unhand me, you feline tyrant! I am not some... carry-on baggage! I DEMAND DIGNITY!"
BEERUS
(grimacing)
"You talk too much."
He swings Frieza like a sack of potatoes and SLAMS him onto the stone floor with a thud that echoes through the vast space.
FRIEZA
(pained)
"GHHH—! What in the... Where am I?! This isn’t Hell! This is too... spiffy!"
WHIS
(smiling pleasantly)
"You're right, it’s not Hell."
FRIEZA
(snarling, rising to his elbows)
"Then what is it?! What is this god-forsaken room?"
TOGURO
(calmly, without turning)
"32 years of silence. It was nice while it lasted."
Frieza turns sharply. His eyes widen.
FRIEZA
(confused)
"You... what? Thirty-two years?"
He stares at the hulking figure on the couch, just now recognizing TOGURO, his back still turned. Toguro slowly glances over his shoulder.
FRIEZA
(aghast)
"Good Gods, were you doing push ups that whole time? Three decades?! That’s unthinkable! Barbaric! Why are you even here?!"
Toguro pauses briefly, debating on whether to actually tell this new arrival, not that it matters either way.
TOGURO
(blankly)
"I wanted to pursue power, no matter the cost..... When I died, I chose to walk into this dimension expecting ten thousand years of torment repeated for ten thousand cycles, but so far all I got was an endless, murky void with a random living space in it. I made myself at home, it's been chill... until now."
FRIEZA
(even more confused)
"You walked here?! Willingly?! And you… stayed?! You made yourself at home in purgatory?! What kind of brute does that?!”
TOGURO
(monotone)
"The kind that doesn't feel like screaming forever."
FRIEZA
(revolted)
"How revolting. I’m expected to coexist with you? This is beneath me!"
BEERUS
(folding his arms)
"Oh, you’ll be coexisting with more than just him soon enough."
FRIEZA
(snarling)
"This is a travesty! I demand an explanation! Why am I here and not back in my tree-bound Hell of dancing plush animals?!"
WHIS
(cheerfully)
"Because this time, Lord Beerus decided... things needed to change."
BEERUS
(gruffly)
“Too many of you freaks keep cheating death, wreaking havoc, and breaking your universes. So we're trying something new.”
WHIS
(smiling)
"Welcome to Limbo."
FRIEZA
(huffing, brushing himself off)
"You can’t be serious. My first roommate is a meat-head who wears sunglasses inside? Just kill me again."
TOGURO
(genuinely)
"That’s not how it works here."
Frieza groans dramatically as he stumbles to his feet. Beerus and Whis exchange a glance.
WHIS
(smiley)
"Shall we go prepare for the next delivery?"
BEERUS
(sighing)
"Yeah. Let’s hope the next one doesn’t scream as much."
They vanish again in a flash, leaving Frieza alone with Toguro. An uncomfortable silence settles. Frieza paces around angrily, brushing invisible specks off his shoulders like he’s trying to rub away the shame. Toguro watches quietly from the couch, leaning back with a casual stillness that only irritates Frieza more.
TOGURO
(trying)
“So… you like training?”
FRIEZA
(about to snap, but decides to play along)
“You know, it's funny. I went from never needing to train a day in my life to training for 10 years straight to get revenge on some monkeys."
TOGURO
(intrigued)
“That's pretty good-”
FRIEZA
(snapping)
"AND I STILL LOST!!! THEY CHEATED WITH FUSION!!!! So NO!! I DON'T like training! I like annihilating ENTIRE PLANETS!! So unless you’re a planet in disguise, don’t talk to me!”
Toguro nods once, unfazed, his expression unreadable.
Suddenly—
ZAP!!
A chaotic swirl of violet lightning and swirling dark mist erupts in the air like a malfunctioning teleportation spell. From the storm of energy, a large body comes CRASHING DOWN—
BLACKBEARD (Marshall D. Teach) slams right on top of Frieza with a dramatic, gut-flattening THUD.
FRIEZA
(screaming under the weight)
“WHAAARRRGHH—GET OFF ME, YOU SLOB!”
BLACKBEARD
(panicking)
“W-WOAH! What the hell?! Where am I?! What happened?! I WAS JUST ON HACHINOSU!!”
Frieza flails beneath the mass of black cape, fat belly, and unwashed dreadlocks. Blackbeard reeks of rum and bad decisions.
FRIEZA
(seething, shrieking)
“THIS IS MY FATE?! TRULY?! CURSE YOU, BEERUS! CURSE YOU WHIS! CURSE ALL GODS OF DESTRUCTION, ALL ANGELS, THE GRAND PRIEST, AND ZENO MOST OF ALL!"
BLACKBEARD
(eyes darting wildly)
“That slimeball Caribou—he was tellin’ me Shirahoshi’s Poseidon, and Pluton’s under Wano! I just learned the biggest secrets of the world and—POOF! I’m HERE?! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!”
He finally rolls off of Frieza, who immediately shoves him with all his might.
FRIEZA
(enraged, dusting himself off again)
“Your filthy rear dented my ribs, you gelatinous fool! Only I have the right to be furious about this miserable purgatory!”
BLACKBEARD
(pissed)
“YOU?! I WAS ABOUT TO BECOME KING OF THE PIRATES!!"
FRIEZA
(voice rising)
“You’re a NOBODY! A STAIN on the cosmos!”
BLACKBEARD
(grinning)
“Better than bein’ a bald... pale... lizard looking... THING!!”
FRIEZA
(growling, lifting his finger for a Death Beam)
“Ohhh, I will END you—”
Beerus and Whis instantly teleport back in.
BEERUS
(darkly)
“Violence is forbidden here."
They both freeze. Frieza glares. Blackbeard looks confused.
BEERUS
(taunting)
“Not that you can do much anyway, we sealed your abilities and dulled your senses. You're all equally weak.”
FRIEZA
(furious)
“EXCUSE ME?!?!”
Frieza tries to shoot a ki blast, but nothing happens. A long awkward pause fills the room. Frieza turns to the side and quietly seethes. Blackbeard stands up and dusts himself off.
BLACKBEARD
(confused and annoyed)
“Why's there a hairless mink in here? Why's he floating? Why is that guy blue? What do you mean my abilities are sealed? I can't use my Devil Fruit powers?! This is worse than Impel Down!”
BEERUS
(annoyed)
"Shut the hell up and wait for the others to get here."
WHIS
(politely)
"Lord Beerus shall explain all the details once we've gathered the first batch of you."
FRIEZA
(pissed)
"FIRST BATCH?! YOU MEAN THEY WILL BE EVEN MORE?!?!"
BEERUS
(smug)
"Of course, we don't want you guys to be lonely.
Toguro says nothing. Blackbeard is still processing the situation. Frieza storms to the other side of the room and sits in a velvet chair, legs crossed, arms folded. Suddenly, Blackbeard sniffs the air, bloodhound style.
BLACKBEARD
(grinning)
“…Wait a minute. Is that—food?”
He waddles toward a sleek, glowing panel in the wall that opens with a soft hiss, revealing a fully stocked pantry—exotic snacks, treats, and oddly Earth-like junk food packed neatly inside.
BLACKBEARD
(excited)
“ZEHAHAHAHA, DON'T MIND IF I DO!!”
He raids the pantry with the speed of a starving animal, grabbing everything from glowing energy bars to chocolate-covered… everything. He plops onto a nearby couch and starts munching away, finally calming down as food takes priority over rage.
FRIEZA
(disgusted, groaning, rubbing his temples)
“Wonderful. Trapped between a muscle mannequin and a smelly tub of lard. I swear, if the next one isn't an intellectual, I may just implode…”
ZAP!!
A new burst of energy opens above Toguro’s head.
MADARA UCHIHA drops into the room—cool, composed, and mid-glare.
Without hesitation, Toguro stands and catches him bridal-style like it’s nothing.
MADARA
(eyes narrowing)
“…What the—?!”
He immediately jumps out of Toguro’s arms, landing with perfect form. He is tall, stone-faced, his spiky black hair like a forest of blades, wearing layered red armor. His purple Rinnegan eyes scan the room, a predator in new terrain.
MADARA
(whispering)
“This must be Genjutsu…”
He closes his eyes, performing a hand sign in front of his face.
MADARA
“Kai.”
Nothing happens. Madara clenches his fists as he tries to manifest chakra, but fails. He stands, calculating his situation.
MADARA
(muttering)
“…No Dojutsu, no chakra, neutered perception... I must really be dead.”
BEERUS
(casually)
“That's correct.”
MADARA
(intrigued)
"No hellfire? No eternal screams?
BEERUS
(smirking)
“Oh please, that would be far too cliché for people of your caliber.”
Frieza squints at Madara, confused… then his jaw drops.
FRIEZA
(eyes wide)
“RADITZ?!?!”
MADARA
(blinking)
“…Did you just call me a radish?”
FRIEZA
(revolted)
“You look disgustingly similar to a Saiyan! That hideous spikey hair, that self-important stare—I’ve executed monkeys that looked just like you!”
MADARA
(raising an eyebrow)
“Saiyan? Do you mean to say ‘Yasai’? Vegetables? What is your deal with vegetables?”
Before Frieza can respond—
BLACKBEARD
(mouth full)
“Yo, your eyes look scary as shit. You want some chips?”
Madara glances at the bag of greasy, glowing crisps Blackbeard offers him.
MADARA
(after a pause)
“…What the hell. Sure.”
He takes a handful and crunches down thoughtfully. Frieza buries his face in his hands.
FRIEZA
(muttering)
“I wish to cease existing.”
BEERUS
(sipping something fizzy)
“Don’t tempt me.”
The air shimmers again as another figure materializes mid-air, descending with elegance and control.
SOUSUKE AIZEN lands gently. Immaculate brown hair, composed posture, and an annoyingly handsome face. His long white coat flutters slightly even though there’s no wind. He scans the space with immediate recognition and cool detachment. He lifts his hands, examining them—flexes his fingers slowly—then stretches his arms wide with a long, satisfied breath.
AIZEN
(softly, to himself)
“I’m free… No restraints. No chair. No Muken.”
He closes his eyes briefly, soaking in the moment. But then—he pauses. He frowns. His eyes open again, sharp and probing. He tries to exert spiritual pressure—nothing happens. He tries to summon his Reiatsu—nothing. He attempts to sense anything beyond the room—still nothing. His frown deepens.
AIZEN
(low and displeased)
“…This was not part of my plan.”
BEERUS
(cutting in, voice booming)
“Oh, you won’t be planning anything once I’m done with you.”
Aizen slowly turns, eyes narrowing. He sees Beerus and Whis, both radiating calm yet unfathomable power. A faint tick of irritation forms on Aizen’s brow.
AIZEN
(quietly)
“…Divine pressure…”
BEERUS
(smug)
“That’s right. You’re looking at real gods now. Not that nonsense you tried to pass off as divinity. You never came close.”
AIZEN
(taking a beat, folding his arms)
“Hmph. I suppose even deities can dress like poorly paid mascots.”
BLACKBEARD
(cackling through chips)
“ZEHAHAHAHA! He just called you a plushie, Lord Cat-Man!”
FRIEZA
(smirking)
“At least he can pull off long hair without looking like a rejected Saiyan.”
MADARA
(deadpan)
“Says the moldy grape.”
TOGURO
(sipping a glass of orange juice over ice)
“…This place has already become annoying.”
AIZEN
(slightly perturbed, but smiling faintly)
“I see the company here is... charming.”
BEERUS
(grinning with teeth)
“Oh, you’ll be very well-acquainted soon enough.
Whis floats behind him with a serene smile, sipping tea. Aizen’s eye twitches just a bit—but his smile stays. Aizen stands tall, arms folded, chin slightly raised as if he still commands an army beneath him.
AIZEN
(calmly, but firmly)
“Nothing can contain me for long, I’ll be out of this room soon enough."
MADARA
(smirking)
“I’d love to see you pull that off. If only to justify whatever god-complex got you here.”
AIZEN
(smiling coldly)
“A true god doesn’t waste time with what is. A true god shapes what SHOULD BE.”
A tense pause follows his words. Then—
BLACKBEARD
(licking orange dust off his fingers)
“Okay, I ain’t gonna lie… that was kinda deep.”
FRIEZA
(tapping his chin)
“Hmph. I hate how much I agree with him.”
MADARA
(reluctantly)
“…Same.”
TOGURO
(flat)
“Who cares?”
Suddenly—POP!
With a flash of silvery-blue light, Whis gently drops Meruem into the center of the room like placing a chess piece on a board.
MERUEM lands softly, crouched, eyes lowered, his hands slowly clenching into fists.
He is short, green, insectile and royal, with a long tail and eyes that look too old for his face. His aura is subdued—not just by the Limbo seals, but by something deeper. Something… human.
He mumbles under his breath, almost inaudibly:
MERUEM
“…Komugi.”
A heavy silence falls for a beat.
Then—Frieza raises a brow. Blackbeard bursts into laughter.
BLACKBEARD
(snarky)
“ZEHAHAHA! Yo, did the bug just say a girl’s name?!”
FRIEZA
(grinning cruelly)
“Oh dear, did we interrupt your tragic little romance?”
MADARA
(dispassionately)
“Did he lose a game or something?”
MERUEM
(slowly standing, eyes sharp but calm)
“…You wouldn’t understand.”
TOGURO
(calmly)
“...I think I might.”
MERUEM
(quietly)
“…Wherever this is… I doubt it’ll be worse than what I’ve already lost.”
WHIS
(smirking as he floats overhead)
“He’s handling this better than most of you have so far.”
AIZEN
(amused)
“How interesting. Him and the pale one over there could be cousins. Two short, tailed bugs."
FRIEZA
(angry)
“I AM NOT A BUG!!”
BLACKBEARD
(chuckling)
“Could have fooled me.”
Frieza scoffs and turns away. Blackbeard shoves another snack in his mouth, still chuckling. Madara keeps a close eye on Meruem, analyzing his posture. Aizen simply watches, quietly intrigued. Toguro sits silently as usual. Whis triggers another swirl of energy to pulse in the room like a glitch in reality.
TOMURA SHIGARAKI drops in with a twitching snarl, crouched and paranoid. He’s pale, gaunt, shirtless, with torn black pants and messy white hair. His face resembles that of someone who hasn’t slept since their childhood.
His red eyes dart around the room as he takes in the surroundings.
SHIGARAKI
(hoarse, feral)
“…What is this place?”
He scans the lounging villains, the surreal but oddly cozy room, the floating lights, and alien furniture. Without another word, he drops to one knee and slams his hand on the floor— Nothing happens. No decay. No crumble. No withering destruction. Just silence. Shigaraki freezes, then lifts his hand slowly, staring at it.
SHIGARAKI
(disappointed)
“…No Decay… No Quirk…”
He looks around, suddenly more agitated.
SHIGARAKI
(gritting his teeth)
“This has to be hell, but why does it look like an alien frat house?”
BLACKBEARD
(cackling)
“BWAHAHAHA! This guy just tried to kill everyone before saying hi!”
FRIEZA
(mocking)
“Oh dear, a ‘Destroy Everything’ complex. How original.”
MADARA
(shaking his head)
“Amateurs… always testing power before perception.”
AIZEN
(smirking)
“It’s almost endearing. Like watching a puppy bark at a thunderstorm. The small always want to feel big.”
TOGURO
(arms folded, still unbothered)
“…At least he didn’t fall on anyone.”
MERUEM
(softly)
“...So quick to destroy. What were you running from?”
Shigaraki scowls at all of them, teeth bared, fists clenched but powerless.
SHIGARAKI
(snarling)
“Shut up. All of you. I don’t give a crap what this is, but if I had my Quirk—”
BEERUS
(appearing suddenly, looming)
“You don’t.”
Shigaraki flinches slightly at the divine pressure.
WHIS
(cheerfully)
“Try not to damage the furniture. You’ll be here for quite a while.”
The others chuckle. Shigaraki backs into a corner, still tense, still ready to destroy—if only he could.
FRIEZA
(arms crossed)
“Only thing worse than being trapped with a pirate and a cockroach… is an angsty, crusty gremlin.”
SHIGARAKI
(dryly)
“Why is E.T.’s desaturated uncle talking trash?”
FRIEZA
(dumbfounded)
“DESATURATED?!?!”
BLACKBEARD
(grinning)
“I’m starting to like this place.”
Without warning, the space ripples again as Whis flicks his staff midair.
A swirling red-black void opens briefly, and RYOMEN SUKUNA drops into the room. He is carved with black markings, his usual arrogance radiating off of him like heat.
He lands on both feet, grinning wickedly. His hair is pinkish-blonde, his four arms flexing while his four eyes scan the room full of strangers with thinly veiled contempt.
SUKUNA
(smiling darkly)
“THIS is the afterlife? Interesting...”
Without hesitation, he raises both sets of arms, forming an Enma Palm sign with his fingers.
SUKUNA
(theatrically)
“Domain Expansion… Malevolent Shrine!”
Nothing. Not a flicker. No slicing waves of cursed energy. Just the soft hum of the Limbo Room’s ambient lighting. He tries again. Still nothing. His smirk fades slightly.
SUKUNA
(annoyed)
“Come on, I can’t do ANYTHING?! I take it back, the afterlife is BORING.”
The room immediately erupts.
FRIEZA
(mocking)
“Another one who tries to nuke us on arrival? What is WRONG with you?!”
BLACKBEARD
(laughing through a mouthful of alien candy)
“Man, is that just the new villain handshake now? Walk in and try to kill everybody?”
AIZEN
(lecturing)
“An approach almost as bold as it is lazy. At least try to read the situation before flexing your power."
MADARA
(scoffing)
“Or lack thereof.”
MERUEM
(disappointed)
“You can't commit violence and you call it boring? You're an animal.”
TOGURO
(blunt)
"Four arms is pretty cool."
SHIGARAKI
(frowning, pointing)
“Are they compensating for the pink hair?”
SUKUNA
(stern)
“I’m really trapped in a room with-
(to Frieza) an albino rat,
(to Blackbeard) a diabetic,
(to Madara) a cactus on acid,
(to Aizen) a shampoo ad,
(to Shigaraki) an eczema outbreak,
(to Meruem) an infestation,
(to Toguro) and a 'roided hulk?...
...Well, at least there’s SOME entertainment.”
BEERUS
(yawning, unimpressed)
“That’s the spirit.”
WHIS
(pleasantly)
“Two more to go.”
The air above Aizen ripples again. He senses it and calmly takes one step back.
LIGHT YAGAMI appears out of thin air—just a normal-looking Japanese guy with brown hair and a rumped suit. He immediately falls flat on his ass where Aizen had just been standing.
LIGHT
(yelping mid-fall)
“AAAH—!”
THUD. He clutches his chest in a panic, still rattled, sweat pouring down his brow.
LIGHT
(panicking)
“My heart…?! That bastard—Ryuk…!”
He breathes heavily, waiting for more pain… but none comes. Slowly, he realizes he’s no longer on the floor of that warehouse. He looks around, blinking at the glowing furniture, the otherworldly décor, and the room full of bizarre people staring at him.
LIGHT
(quietly, echoing Ryuk’s words)
“There is no heaven… nor hell… No matter what you do while you’re alive… everyone meets the same fate… Death is equal.”
BEERUS
(casually mocking)
“Wrong. Very wrong.”
WHIS
(cheerfully)
“I had to pluck your soul out of Mu, by the way. You were this close to eternal nothingness. Lucky you.”
LIGHT
(blinking rapidly)
“Mu? Nothingness?! What are you talking about?! Where am I?! Explain this!”
BEERUS
(leaning back lazily)
“Not until the last mongrel arrives.”
BLACKBEARD
(grinning wide)
“ZEHAHAHA! A scrawny guy like him?!” What kind of powers does he got?”
FRIEZA
(leaning in, eyes gleaming)
“A human? Like a real one? You brought a normal person to Limbo?”
SUKUNA
(eyes flicking over Light, unimpressed)
“I’ve killed toddlers more intimidating than him.”
SHIGARAKI
(smirking)
“Looks like he got lost on the way to an internship.”
MADARA
(sternly)
“I’ve fought gods and monsters. You look like you manage spreadsheets.”
TOGURO
(still seated, sipping his drink)
“The most normal-looking guy here. That’s the real red flag.”
AIZEN
(flicking imaginary dust off his shoulder)
“At least he fell in the right place. Beneath me.”
MERUEM
(studying Light quietly)
“…He’s different. Weak… but calculating.”
LIGHT
(through clenched teeth)
“…You guys know nothing about me.”
SUKUNA
(snickering)
“Nor do we care.”
BEERUS
(sighing dramatically)
“All right. This last guy... he’ll either be the absolute best or absolute worst addition to this disaster.”
WHIS
(spinning his staff)
“Let’s find out.”
He flicks his wrist. The staff glows, and reality warps—but something goes wrong. The energy begins glitching, arcs of golden-red static shooting out wildly. Whis raises a brow.
WHIS
(analyzing)
“Hmm. The implosion of the Holy Grail appears to be interfering. How messy.”
The portal on the staff convulses, warps again—BOOM!! A golden projectile ROCKETS out of Whis’ staff and SLAMS directly into the far wall with a thunderous CRACK, sending chunks of stone wall scattering across the floor. GILGAMESH, dressed in shimmering gold armor, dramatically yells—
GILGAMESH
(muffled against the wall)
“ARCHERRRRRR—!!”
He peels himself off the wall and slides down slowly, hits the floor with a grunt… then, almost instantly, starts laughing.
GILGAMESH
(grinning wide)
“Haha! So I still have form… how fitting! The king does not fade so easily!”
He dusts himself off, striking a pose as if the entrance was intentional. He resembles a walking treasure vault. Gold armor, spikey blonde hair, red eyes, and the posture of someone who thinks gravity owes him rent.
GILGAMESH
(gestures broadly to everyone in the room)
“I am Gilgamesh! The King of Heroes, ruler of all mankind and beyond! The rightful king of existence itself! And you mongrels shall kneel. You have no choice. Your only duty now is reverence!”
A long silence.
Then—
BLACKBEARD
(choking on chips)
“ZEHAHAHAHA!! THIS GUY TALKS LIKE A CELESTIAL DRAGON!!”
FRIEZA
(stunned)
“…I didn’t think I would miss Ginyu so much.”
MADARA
(flatly)
“I’d rather listen to Obito monologue for ten hours than any more of that nonsense.”
AIZEN
(raising an eyebrow)
“King of Heroes? You hardly qualify as a jester.”
SHIGARAKI
(sneering)
“He’s like Endeavor if All Might didn’t exist.”
LIGHT
(smirking)
“Why is he dressed like a chandelier?”
MERUEM
(blinking)
“...So this is what unchecked arrogance looks like.”
TOGURO
(sipping his drink)
“Yeah. He’s the worst.”
SUKUNA
(cackling)
“Ohhhh I like him. He’s so hateable, a perfect punching bag.”
Gilgamesh’s eye twitches slightly.
GILGAMESH
(seething)
“You filthy mongrels dare bark in the presence of divinity?!”
FRIEZA
(laughing)
“You just kissed the wall on your arrival!”
BLACKBEARD
(still wheezing)
“Callin’ everyone mongrel like he still has his powers, BWAHAHAHA!!!”
GILGAMESH
(fuming, holding his arm out)
“You insolent worms— Hold on…!”
He tries to use his Noble Phantasm, but nothing happens.
GILGAMESH
(furious)
“What is this? Where is my GATE OF BABYLON!?!, WHERE IS MY MANA-”
BEERUS
(sharp and loud)
“ENOUGH!”
The whole room falls into uneasy silence. Gilgamesh glares but shuts up.
BEERUS
(taking center stage)
“Now that you’re all here and done flailing around like toddlers, let me explain.”
He paces slowly, arms behind his back, expression deadly serious.
BEERUS
(loud, cutting)
“Welcome to Limbo, the space between Heaven and Hell. Cozy, isn’t it? You’ve all been sentenced to 100 years in this place."
He gestures around the large lounge space with its strange furniture, entertainment systems, and eerie calm.
BEERUS
(stern)
“This room is your prison. You’ll be confined here for a century, and every second will count. You’ve all committed sins of such absurd magnitude that your own afterlives couldn’t handle you. So we made our own. There are plenty of snacks and alcohol in the pantries and fridge, but it only restocks once a year and Blackbeard’s already hoarded half of it.”
WHIS
(sipping tea)
“And yes, your powers, senses, and abilities are all sealed and dulled. Violence is strictly prohibited.”
BEERUS
(dead serious)
“Try anything, and we’ll erase you. Permanently.”
He lifts his palm towards Frieza.
“Hakai.”
FRIEZA VANISHES in a puff of violet dust, atomized without warning. The entire room freezes. Most eyes widen. A few jaws drop.
BEERUS
(coldly)
“Anyone who fails to behave… will share that fate."
Whis snaps his fingers. POOF. Frieza reappears mid-scream, hitting the floor and writhing in agony, clutching his chest and gasping like he just crawled out of Hell.
FRIEZA
(shaking, traumatized)
“I SAW...EVERYTHING... AND NOTHING...!!”
The others stare in stunned silence.
BLACKBEARD
(after a pause, standing up)
“Okay—nah, I call BULLSHIT. You can’t just snatch me up like this! I was THIS close to finding the One Piece! I gotta become Pirate King! Then King of the World! Then—!”
BEERUS
(interrupting)
“Yeah, no you don’t. That ambition of yours? That’s what got you here.”
Blackbeard grumbles under his breath.
AIZEN
(confident)
“I was still gaining power, you stripped me away from that because you were afraid of my potential. You pluck out anything even remotely threatening to your cushy status as a deity.”
BEERUS
(laughing uncontrollably)
“GEHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! It would have taken you five-hundred thousand years to reach even a quarter of my strength, if another teenager doesn’t kill you before then.”
AIZEN
(amused)
“Only a blink in the scope of eternity. I have the time.”
WHIS
(haughtily)
“You’re confident that your mind, as well as the Hogyoku, are limitless, so why does “Time” matter in the equation?”
AIZEN
(smiling faintly)
“Because even the limitless require a stage upon which to perform. You’ve taken away the world. The pieces. The audience. But not the actor. Time… is merely the intermission. The period when the audience processes the mastery they just witnessed, while the actors prepare for the grand finale...”
The villains collectively groan at Aizen's pretentiousness.
BEERUS
(grinning with his mouth full)
“Right. And this ‘actor’ got dragged offstage before Act One could even start. You talk like the universe was your chessboard. News flash, we built the board, and if you think time is your ally, I’ll leave you here for eternity and watch you rot into humility.”
Beerus' aura bellows from his being, forcing Aizen to back down.
AIZEN
(fuming inside)
“Tch. How degrading.”
MADARA
(smirking slightly)
“So, we’re all just prisoners in a cosmic time-out.”
SUKUNA
(flicking a nail)
“This is a farce, a boring farce.”
LIGHT
(crossing his arms)
“I would have preferred Nothingness…”
WHIS
(grinning)
“If, after 100 years, you've shown… let’s say, acceptable behavior, you’ll be free to leave. Powers restored. Returned to your own worlds. Even your own timelines, if you wish.”
MERUEM
(quietly)
“…Even if it’s too late to change who we were?”
BEERUS
(moderate)
“Who you were doesn’t matter. Who you become… does.”
FRIEZA
(curling up, eyes still twitching)
“I was erased… I was erased…”
With a flick of his staff, summons a floating silver tray of glowing, exotic cuisines—delicacies from across the cosmos. Beerus lounges into a newly-appeared recliner, already digging into the food like he’s earned it.
BEERUS
(mouth half full)
“Mmph. Almost forgot something. Toguro—since you’ve been here for, what, thirty-two years already? You’ve only got... sixty-eight left.”
TOGURO
(calmly, unfazed)
“I don’t intend to leave. I don’t deserve a second chance. This place is exactly what I asked for.”
(he raises his glass)
“And I can have a cup of orange juice over ice whenever I want."
BLACKBEARD
(launching a chip across the room)
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”
FRIEZA
(outraged)
“HOW ARE YOU SO CALM?!"
LIGHT
(dumbfounded)
“You’re literally choosing cosmic prison!”
SHIGARAKI
(madly pacing)
“I’m gonna tear this room apart with my bare hands if I hear more stoic monologues!”
MADARA
(flatly)
“You people are screaming at a man drinking juice. Reflect on that.”
AIZEN
“Perhaps he’s the wisest among us, and we’re the fools. Or perhaps we’re all fools.”
SUKUNA
(bored)
“Speak for yourself. I’m just bored.”
MERUEM
(quietly)
“He’s at peace. I envy that.”
The room continues to bubble with irritation and despair.
BEERUS
(sipping a fizzy drink, mouth full)
“You guys are lucky I haven’t put a Supervisor in here to watch your every move.”
GILGAMESH
(seething)
“…I will NOT be judged by a gluttonous purple cat and his bell-boy angel.”
(rising in fury)
“YOU DARE IMPRISON YOUR TRUE KING?!”
He raises a hand, golden ripples emerging in the air behind him—Gate of Babylon unlocking. He grabs his legendary sword, Ea, and aims it directly at Beerus.
GILGAMESH
(bombastic)
“ENUMA—”
BEERUS
"No."
(flicks his finger)
SLASH.
Ea, Gilgamesh’s mighty, sacred sword, is sliced clean in half mid-summon.
His eyes drift toward the glowing weapon in slow motion.
In an instant, Whis flicks his staff-
A glowing energy orb immediately surrounds Gilgamesh-
BOOOOOOM!!!
Ea explodes violently in Gilgamesh’s hand. Flames, smoke, and golden debris swirl within the orb.
When the orb dissipates, Gilgamesh is singed, coughing and bruised. His armor cracked and smoking. He drops to his knees, muttering in pain.
GILGAMESH
(half-conscious)
“Ea… Broken…? Impossible… Mongrels… the lot of you…”
BLACKBEARD
(chortling)
“ZEHAHAHA! You got BLOWN UP by your own weapon!”
SUKUNA
(clapping with all four arms)
"What a spectacle."
SHIGARAKI
(snickering)
“The chandelier became microwave leftovers.”
FRIEZA
(grinning wickedly)
“THAT was satisfying.”
MADARA
(going towards the couch)
“And he calls US mongrels?”
AIZEN
(poetically)
"A King who loses composure, loses his throne."
LIGHT
(quietly)
“Can we get some popcorn?”
BLACKBEARD
(without missing a beat)
"HE IS THE POPCORN!!"
The whole room bursts out laughing, Gilgamesh suffers alone.
BEERUS
(still lounging)
“That was interesting. The only way that happened is because his pent-up emotions weakened the seal on his powers. Honestly, I’m impressed. Didn’t think anyone would crack it that quickly. Now you definitely need Supervisors. Congratulations.”
SHIGARAKI
(dying inside)
“Ughhhhhh…”
SUKUNA
(disappointed)
“Great. Babysitters.”
AIZEN
(degraded)
“Humiliating.”
BLACKBEARD
(annoyed)
“Thanks a lot, Popcorn Mongrel.”
GILGAMESH
(still fried on the floor)
“...I demand... a throne…”
FRIEZA
(marching over to him)
“Move over, Super Saiyan. You’re not the only one who’s been humiliated today.”
GILGAMESH
(suffering)
“...Super…. What…?”
MADARA
(lounging on the couch)
“Wake me when the next idiot tries something stupid.”
BEERUS finishes the last bite of some star-shaped glowing delicacy, licks his fingers, and rises from his recliner.
BEERUS
(satisfied)
“Alright, we’ll be right back..”
WHIS
(grinning)
“Try journaling your feelings while we're gone!”
ZAP!
They disappear in a shimmer of divine energy, leaving the dozen most dangerous villains in anime history… completely unsupervised.
Instant chaos.
FRIEZA
(exploding)
“A CENTURY?! I won’t survive a week in this fluorescent padded cell with the rest of you lunatics!”
Blackbeard punches the air, attempting to use his Gura Gura No Mi, to no effect.
BLACKBEARD
(freaking out)
“DAMN IT!! A HUNDRED years, NO treasure, NO ships, LIMITED food and booze?! This is a DEATH sentence!!”
MADARA
(scowling)
“Sealed, neutered, monitored. How infantilizing.”
SHIGARAKI
(snarling, scratching the walls)
“This is psychological torture designed as a cosmic daycare!”
SUKUNA
(snickering)
“Even after becoming a Curse, I've never FELT cursed... until now.”
AIZEN
(tossing his hair, annoyed)
“They call themselves gods and yet they require surveillance to keep us in line? How embarrassing.”
MERUEM
(calmly)
“This punishment… it fits. But the company is the real hell.”
TOGURO
(sipping)
“I’m already used to it.”
LIGHT
(reconciling)
“This is what I get for picking up the Death Note, huh?”
GILGAMESH
(burned and still smoldering, groaning)
“This room is a mockery. Mongrel furniture, mongrel food, and I have to share wine with squabbling mongrels?!”
FRIEZA
(to Gilgamesh)
“Look who’s talking! You tried to nuke the place and got YOURSELF blown up!”
GILGAMESH
(ready for war)
"HOW DARE YOU-"
SHIGARAKI
(to Frieza)
"And YOU got ERASED as an EXAMPLE!! I wanted to laugh so hard!!"
FRIEZA
(seething)
"I DARE YOU TO LAUGH AT ME, YOU DECOMPOSING CORPSE!!!"
MADARA
(to Gilgamesh and Frieza)
"I just met you two... but you both deserved what you got."
FRIEZA
(screaming)
"SHUT THE HELL UP!!"
AIZEN
(agreeing)
"You both require the most extensive rehabilitation out of everyone in this room."
BLACKBEARD
(goading them)
"YOU GUYS ARE SPOILED BRATS WITH NO SELF AWARENESS!!! ZEHAHAHAHA!!"
GILGAMESH
(fuming)
"YOUR DISRESPECT WILL NOT GO UNPUNISHED!!!"
LIGHT
(unable to think)
"WILL YOU GUYS STOP FUCKING SCREAMING?!?"
SUKUNA
(enjoying this)
"Nah, scream more, let's weaken that seal."
BLACKBEARD
(pointing at Sukuna)
“And YOU!! Why do you even NEED four arms!?
(looks closer)
And EYES!? You got FOUR ARMS AND FOUR EYES?!”
SUKUNA
(retorting)
“Four’s the minimum when I'm surrounded by morons.”
SHIGARAKI
(snapping)
“Don’t act like you’re above us, pink-head. You bitched and moaned when your powers didn’t work!”
LIGHT
(regaining his composure)
“Heh, I never had powers to seal to begin with.”
MADARA
(shutting him down)
“That’s why you’re the most pathetic one here.”
AIZEN
(smirking)
“Correction: the most human.”
SHIGARAKI
(unapologetic)
"I don't know what I hate more, blondie's arrogance or shampoo ad's poetic barf."
FRIEZA
(pissed)
“I hate all of you equally. This is worse than Hell. At least Hell had a musical number.”
GILGAMESH
(pissed)
“Be silent, discolored rodent. I refuse to share the air with your peasantry.”
FRIEZA
(wrathful)
"I COULD SAY THE SAME, YOU NAGGING NECKLACE!!!"
GILGAMESH
(raging)
"OBSOLETE ORGANISM!!"
FRIEZA
(veins bulging)
"DELUSIONAL DUKE!!"
GILGAMESH
(furious)
"WALKING WORM!!"
FRIEZA
(apoplectic)
"GOLDEN, GROOMED, GARRULOUS GOBLIN!!!!"
GILGAMESH
(screaming)
"FECKLESS, FLOUNDERING, FRIVOLOUS FREAK!!!"
FRIEZA
(exploding)
"I AM EMPEROR OF THE UNIVERSE!!!"
GILGAMESH
(fulminating)
"I AM KING OF KINGS!!!"
SUKUNA
(yelling mockingly)
"YOU'RE BOTH INSUFFERABLE AS HELL!!!"
The room erupts into chaos as Meruem moves towards Toguro and sits next to him, away from the conflict.
TOGURO
(stoically sipping his orange juice)
“Let them talk. They’ll tire themselves out.”
MERUEM
(amazed)
“I envy your patience…”
Shouting, mockery, and blame circles around and around, dozens of voices overlapping in a symphony of bitterness. Suddenly, a crackle of divine energy floods the room as Beerus and Whis teleport back in once more. But this time, they’re not alone. Standing beside them are two new arrivals.
A hunched, shadowy figure crouched barefoot with a long white shirt, blue jeans, messy black hair and blank eyes, L LAWLIET.
And behind him; a floating slender figure, pale bluish-grey skin, spiky black hair, black lips, bulging yellow eyes, tattered black clothing, and black wings flapping lazily with gleeful menace. RYUK, of the Shinigami Realm.
WHIS
(spinning his staff cheerfully)
“Everyone, meet your Supervisors. They’ll be keeping an eye on things from now on.”
LIGHT
(freezing in horror, voice cracking)
“...N-No. No way… L…? R-Ryuk?!”
L
(staring blankly, then softly)
“Hello, Kira.”
RYUK
(grinning wide)
“Bwahaha! Light! You really thought you’d never see us again, huh?”
LIGHT
(backing up, unhinged)
“OH, THIS IS DEFINITELY HELL!!! WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS HERE?!?! (to L) WHY DO YOU STILL EXIST?!?!"
L
(thankful)
"Whis, out of the goodness of his heart, reassembled my soul and gave me a new purpose... Ryuk was merely plucked from the Shinigami Realm."
RYUK
(eating an apple)
"I was promised unlimited apples just for watching some freaks. That was neat on its own, but then the cat said Light would be there and it got me excited."
SHIGARAKI
(dryly)
"That's what she said."
The room goes silent.
SHIGARAKI
(disappointed)
"Wow, you guys suck."
SUKUNA
(bluntly)
"No, you just swallow."
The room bursts into laughter as Shigaraki curls into a ball and rolls into a corner, dying of embarrassment. Sukuna grins as if defeating a worthy opponent. As the laughter dies down, L approaches Light. The villains watch the reunion with growing amusement.
L
(calmly stepping forward)
“You always slipped through my fingers. But I knew. I always knew it was you.... When I died in your arms… I saw the look in your eyes. That smirk. It told me everything. And strangely… it gave me peace... because I was finally proven right.”
LIGHT
(trembling with rage)
“You liar... You always feigned understanding!”
L
(still monotone)
“Near and Mello made me very proud. They were everything I hoped for.”
LIGHT
(enraged)
“Don’t you DARE mention those SCUM—!!”
With a primal yell, Light lunges and throws a punch at L. In a fluid motion, L twists Light’s arm and pins him to the floor, holding him down with terrifying precision and zero emotion.
L
(softly)
“Violence is prohibited in the Limbo Room, Kira.”
LIGHT
(struggling, humiliated)
“Get off me!! This isn’t fair!!”
BLACKBEARD
(through mouthfuls of chips)
“ZEHAHAHAHA! Pinned down by your own nemesis?! This is better than the pantry snacks!”
FRIEZA
(satisfied)
“Sweet, sweet irony. I needed this.”
SUKUNA
(intrigued)
“Even I didn’t see that coming.”
SHIGARAKI
(excited)
“L’s got better hands than most Pro Heroes!”
GILGAMESH
(grinning)
“Mongrel on Mongrel violence? How amusing.”
AIZEN
(smirking)
“Tragedy and comedy, inseparable at last.”
MADARA
(intrigued)
“So he’s not just theatrics. Interesting.”
MERUEM
(sincerely)
“Perhaps it’s possible to have some order around here after all.”
TOGURO
(sipping orange juice)
“Didn’t think the skinny one had that in him.”
RYUK
(laughing hard)
“This is even better than apples! I love it here.”
L
(still pinning Light)
“You’ll learn quickly, Light. You’re no longer writing the rules here.”
He slowly releases Light, who stumbles back and curls into a seething ball of wounded pride. The other villains just keep laughing.
BEERUS
(sipping a drink)
“We chose the right guy.”
WHIS
(smiling)
“Indeed.”
