I’ll Make a Man
---
Star tracked the various groups entering the Hall of Fire. Although they had all come for the same reason, they stood apart. Wary of each other. The dwarven delegation stood defensively, eyeing the elves on the other side of the Hall. The 2 elven groups frowned in their direction. A couple of Men stood warily in the centre of the room. And near herself, but slightly away, were the hobbits.
But the young woman noticed something odd. Within each group, stood out an oddly familiar person.
The Shire folk grouped around an umbered-toned young woman with medium-length dark hair. Of the two Men, one wore glasses, a fedora, and had short dark hair. With the Mithlond and Mirkwood delegations was a human each. The two stood out with their blond and silvery hair respectively. Although, they did match some of the elves with the colouring funnily enough. And finally, towering above the dwarves was a pale, dark-haired human.
Star smirked when she saw what the others hadn’t realized or noticed yet. She leaned down and whispered to the elderly hobbit beside her. “Want to see something entertaining Master Baggins?” The hobbit raised a brow.
She smiled, straightened, made eye contact with Fweebie, who had just glanced over. Her friend’s eyes widened, and Star sang out at full volume.
“Let’s get down to business,”
The Hall immediately fell silent, all eyes on the brunette. Then, from the center of the hobbits came, “To defeat the Huns!”
“Did they send me daughters?”
“When I asked for sons.” A third voice from the center of the room.
Star grinned, holding back a laugh. “You’re the saddest bunch I ever met.” She points across the room.
Two more join, “But you can bet before we’re through,”
The last of them join and all the friends sing together. Belting out the lyrics. “Mister, I’ll make a man. Out of you!”
Everyone stares silently. Even the crickets. Star waves to her friends. “Hey y’all. You here too?”
Chaos ensues and Bilbo Baggins laughs.
