Notes:

Hi, as some of you may know, this is indeed NOT my first fic, I was the one who originally wrote It really is a small world out there. And shortly after posting chapter two I deleted it because I saw Sandmars comment on chapter 2 and thought that it was a hate comment, and panicked and deleted it like instantly, so... Yeah! Anyway, hope you guys enjoy this fic, updates will definably not be very constant, and will be very all over the place, so don't expect any reliability out of me. Anyway, enjoy!

September 27th, 2095
It was early in the morning, and what little of the sun could be seen was up. Matthew was stirring awake to what little of the world was left, nothing but a barren wasteland laid ahead of his bunker.

Today was the day after all, the day where Matthew and his bunker mates would be frozen for close to 10,000 years so that the earth will hopefully be habitable again. After all, it was all he had left of his family, and personal things.

Finally, it’s time to go under. “Better late than never..” Matthew said; they had already lost contact with 4 out of the 9 bunkers that laid across this hell hole of a planet. “Let’s get this over with…” Matthew said with a sigh, hoping into his cryo pod. There's no going back. His bunker doctor started to count down

10,000 years later
Matthew had woken, and everything hurt. Just moving his eyes felt like a chore, let alone moving just his fingers. But he got up, just to be greeted to nothing but a cold dark room. No silent humming of the cryo pods at work, no lights in the bunker. The backup generators must have gone out at some time then…

But Matthew was alone, in this cold, dark, and very creepy room. And he could just tell.
The others didn’t make it.
