Carla woke on February 14th snuggled up next to Lisa and thought for a minute how lucky she was to be with the smartest, most beautiful person in the whole of Weatherfeild. Moving slowly and softly so not to wake up Lisa, Carla nudged out of bed and slipped on her favourite strawberry red slippers before emerging into the kitchen.
She jumped noticeably when she spotted Ryan lazing on the sofa, seemingly engrossed in some film he was watching ( at a ridiculous time in the morning to be watching films I must add). "Hey you," Carla exclaimed, " I thought you were staying at a mate's house this weekend so me and Lisa have the flat to ourselves!"
" I know, I just popped around to grab my charger and then I'm shooting right back off again out the door," Ryan replied, laughing at the suprise in his aunt's voice.
"Well good 'caus I'm only making breakfast for two so you'll have to get yourself something from the cafe on your way."
"Alright alright I'm going I'm going." Ryan gathered up his jumper, grabbed his charger and headed out the door, but not before swiping a slice of toast from Carla's half prepared breakfast. " Hey! Out!" Carla shouted fondly.
Carla was just adding the finishing touches to her perfect romantic double breakfast when she heard he tentative creak of a floorboard from the bedroom followed by the squeaky handle of the bedroom door. Lisa shuffled into the room bathed in the cute fluffiness of her oversized dressing gown wearing a very sheepish smile.
"Morning beautiful," Carla murmured warmly as she walked towards her girlfriend. " This was supposed to be a perfect breakfast in bed with coffee and flowers before our perfect valentine's day!"
"Well I'll go right back to bed so you can bring that breakfast into me only if I get a good morning kiss first," Lisa replied fondly, a grin spreading across her face.
"Your wish is my command," Carla replied as she took a few steps closer to her girlfriend so they were only a few inches apart. Carla reached out and tucked a small protruding lock of Lisa's shiny blonde hair back behind her ear as she leaned in even closer. The brunette tilted her head downwards ever so slightly as Lisa stretched a little upwards so that their lips met with a soft touch that quickly escalated into a deeper kiss which had Carla ginning as pure emotions blossomed inside of her.
After a few moments, they parted lips and their eyes met with a shared, loving gaze. " I'll see you in a minute, " Lisa whispered as she made her way back towards the bedroom, the fluffy belt of her dressing gown trailing behind her, "and don't forget the cherry jam for my toast."
Beaming, Carla inhaled the remainder of the blonde's sweet scent deeply and picked up the breakfast tray before closing the door behind her as she re-entered the bedroom. Everything was perfect. Just for a moment.
