Dawn was coming in the forest, the treetops were turning orange, and birds were chirping in the treetops. The morning dew was still glistening on the grass, but the sun had already begun to warm their skin, Dagur and Hiccup were sitting on the grass next to each other discussing something, Toothless was running after butterflies, snorting.
-Hiccup, what do you think would happen if you killed Toothless? You probably would have become a hero, right?
— Maybe. Hiccup shrugged his shoulders. -Maybe not.
Then I wouldn't be mad at you, and we wouldn't be fighting later.
— Yes, but then we wouldn't be friends either.
- You think?I've always been interested in you.
—Oh really?
- Well, yes, no matter how hard I tried to attract attention, you always ignored me.
-You were trying to get my attention … By trying to drown me?
He raised an eyebrow, but a smile could be seen at the corners of his lips.
- You know I have a problem with that.
— But you've become more calm now.
— Yes, I'm doing my best just to not go crazy again.
— Have you had obsessive thoughts?
— Sometimes they still haunt me. I'm running as fast as I can to stay put.
— You don't stand still, you've taken a lot of steps to become who you are.
— No, I'm still the same madman, I just hide it better.
"That's not true.
Hiccup crawled up to him on his knees and took his hand.
— You helped me become who I am now. Said Hiccup and smiled warmly.
- Shut up, I'm sorry.. I didn't want to.
-It's all right.
Hiccup slowly bent down and kissed him on the forehead, his lips were soft and warm, Dagur closed his eyes for a moment enjoying the moment. Hiccup pulled back, looked into his eyes, and smiled. Dagur felt a pleasant warmth spread inside him.
