For once, Yuuji is up early today, and because of it, he is so very incredibly sleepy. He hasn't had his morning coffee yet, but that was kinda the whole point, to support Fushiguro on his first day at his new barista job.
Ugh, on second thought, maybe he should've pre-gamed a cup anyway.
He checks the time on his phone—6:52, lovely—and when he looks back up, his eyes catch on the back of a head of snow-white hair in front him.
Yuuji feels woozy, suddenly.
"Go... jo?"
The head turns around, and then Yuuji's staring up at the prettiest face he's ever seen in his life. Dazzling blue eyes give him a full and thorough once-over, followed by the formation of a slow smile on shiny, lightly pink lips.
"Sorry," the gorgeous man in front of him in line says, "but it seems like you've got me at a disadvantage. You know me, but I don't recall ever meeting such an adorable face. And you would be?"
"I..." Yuuji digs the heel of his hand into his eye. Caffeine withdrawal headaches hurt. "I don't know you?"
The man tilts his head, the lightly amused smile on his face never faltering. "But you just said my name."
They both blink at each other for a moment.
"Uh," Yuuji says. "No, I didn't?"
"Yes, you did? Gojo?" The man offers his hand. "Gojo Satoru."
It's pure instinct that has Yuuji taking him up on a handshake. "Itadori Yuuji," he says. "I'm sorry, but I really don't know you."
"Hmm." Gojo keeps holding onto his hand, long after the polite time to let go. The corners of his eyes crinkle with the brilliance of his grin. "Well, that's easily fixed. Why don't I buy you a coffee, Yuuji-kun?"
