TANGLED IN RED - PreCanon info
ok guys, we know little about this new Readhead mf so I'll break it down for you. You need to read this before jumping in the love triangle story.
Shamrock's Characterization
Polite Villainy: Shamrock hides his Celestial Dragon arrogance beneath a smooth, polite exterior. He’s manipulative, charismatic, and unnervingly calm. While other Celestials act superior without care, Shamrock plays a long game, using his charm to control and influence.
Holy Knight Persona: As a Holy Knight, he has a moral facade. Perhaps he justifies his actions as "justice," even when they’re self-serving. He’s incredibly calculating, which makes his interactions with Buggy all the more fascinating.
Shamrock's Growing Obsession with Buggy: Shamrock is used to elegance and beauty by Celestial Dragon standards: perfectly polished, lifeless, and hollow. Buggy is the complete opposite. He’s loud, messy, and utterly unrefined, yet somehow… breathtaking.
Hypnotized by Buggy's Hair: The first time Shamrock really looks at Buggy, he finds himself mesmerized by that shock of electric blue hair. The way it flares out wildly, framing his face, makes Shamrock feel like he’s staring into something untamed and dangerous. He can’t stop thinking about how it might feel to run his fingers through it, though the thought scandalizes him.
Those Hips: When Buggy moves, it’s almost theatrical—the sway of his hips exaggerated by his dramatic strut. Shamrock, being so proper and restrained, doesn’t understand why he feels his gaze being dragged down every time Buggy storms away from him in a huff. “For a man to have hips like that…” he mutters to himself in disbelief, as if trying to rationalize his fixation.
The Eyelashes: Shamrock notices the subtle details first—Buggy’s long, dark eyelashes that frame his expressive eyes, especially when he’s rolling them in annoyance. He wonders if they’re naturally that striking or if Buggy’s the type of man who might put in the extra effort to enhance them. (The idea of Buggy casually applying makeup intrigues Shamrock more than he’d care to admit.)
Polished Chaos: At first, Shamrock tries to dismiss Buggy’s appearance as garish. But the more time he spends watching Buggy, the more he realizes there’s a strange, meticulous care in the chaos. The paint on his face, though bold, is precise; his accessories, though eccentric, are chosen with purpose. Shamrock finds himself fascinated by this walking contradiction—a man who embodies both recklessness and refinement.
Shamrock's Confusion and Desire: Shamrock doesn’t understand these feelings, which only deepens his obsession. He’s supposed to be above such worldly distractions, yet Buggy makes him feel things he’s never felt before: An Unshakable Intrigue: Shamrock starts craving moments with Buggy just to observe him up close. Every insult Buggy throws his way only makes Shamrock smile, his curiosity sharpening into something more carnal. He wants to understand what it is about this man—the clown, the pirate, the mess—that captivates him so deeply.
Intimacy in His Thoughts: Shamrock begins fantasizing about Buggy in increasingly intimate ways: brushing the hair from his face, tracing the sharp line of his jaw, holding him close to feel the rise and fall of his breath. These thoughts are entirely inappropriate, and Shamrock hates how much he enjoys them.
A Need to Conquer: Shamrock’s polite mask starts slipping whenever Buggy is near. He wants to unravel Buggy, to see what lies beneath the bravado. “You’re so infuriating,” he says one night, his voice low and laced with something almost threatening. Buggy scoffs, but the fire in Shamrock’s gaze lingers in his mind.
