"Bakugo! Are you ok?"
Katsuki sits up, rubbing his eyes and looking around at the dark alleyway. The last thing he remembers is fighting... someone? With... a friend maybe? Who was shouting his name?
"Bakugo!" A man with shitty red hair ran over to him, concern lacing the mans expression while confusion laced his own. "Are you ok?" He asked, holding a hand out to help Katsuki up.
He slapped the hand away, raising an eyebrow and staring at the unfamiliar person. "Who the hell are you?" The question 'and why do a feel a strong connection to you?' left unasked.
"What do you mean? It's me, Kirishima! Y'know, like, your best friend." Worry filled Kirishimas eyes, only causing Katsuki to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
"I've... never met you. I don't think. Did you say best friend?" Katsuki glared at the man who claimed to be his best friend, still trying to figure out why he felt like that statement was true.
Kirishima stared at him in disbelief "What do you mean you don't think you've ever met me. We've known each other for years now."
Katsuki stood up, biting his cheek and squinting at Kirishima. Why was he so familiar? "I feel like I know you. I feel like we're friends, but I have no clue who you are." He explained, scrunching his nose in thought. Kirishima looked confused for a few more moments, before his eyes widened in what Katsuki assumed was realization. "Oh my god. That guy hit you with his quirk."
"How is this a revelation?" Katsuki asked, being more annoyed with his... friend as time went on.
"He had an amnesia quirk." Kirishima stated, nodding "Something about remembering feelings and not faces." He pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing before pulling his phone out. "I'm calling Aizawa. We need to get back to the dorms."
Aizawa. The name only brought a feeling of admiration and respect to Katsuki's mind. He shrugged off the feeling, instead pondering the explanation Kirishima just provided.
After about 10 minutes, the 'Aizawa' person Kirishima was talking about showed up. Katsuki's conformation of the feeling happening when he laid his eyes on the professor.
"Bakugo, are you alright?" The man asked, causing Katsuki to shrug.
"Just confused." he paused "Who are you again?"
'Aizawa' sighed, looking to Kirishima. "Let's get him to recovery girl, see if she knows anything about this." Kirishima nodded before he added on "Then he's your problem after that."
Katsuki stood in the middle of the common rooms, staring at a group of people he didn't know. A group of people that were currently gawking at him. Mainly because Kirishima had just finished telling everyone what had happened.
"How long is this supposed to last?" A man with glasses asked, hand oddly chopping through the air.
"Only about a day" Kirishima answered, causing the class to mumble among each other.
Eventually, a girl with a black ponytail spoke up "So, you don't know who any of us are?" she asked, brows furrowed in confusion.
Katsuki shook his head "Only how I feel about you."
A pink girl with horns jumped up, hand shooting into the air "How do you feel about me, blasty?" She smirked
Katsuki's lips formed a thin line as he looked at her. Was he really about to answer these stupid questions?
Surprisingly, yes.
"You're cool," The girl squealed "but very annoying" She immediately groaned, causing at least half the class to laugh.
It went on like that for awhile, everyone asking how Katsuki felt about them and telling him their names. Most of them got what they were expecting, a few of them surprised to see how he actually felt.
And then the cutest boy Katsuki had ever seen raised his hand.
"What about me, Kacchan?"
He had green curls that Katsuki had a strong urge to run his fingers through, freckles he wanted to kiss, and blinding beautiful eyes.
Katsuki was immediately hit with a wave of familiarity, sadness, regret, happiness, and.. love. Strong emotions to have for a guy you're just now meeting. Though Katsuki supposes they technically already know each other.
His eyes softened, and he cocked his head to the side the tiniest bit.
"Are we dating?"
The boys face immediately went red, covered in shock. Startled laughter emerged from nearly everyone around the room, and the couple of students that claimed to be super close to him were hunched over laughing like they had just heard the funniest joke ever told.
Katsuki's expression immediately morphed into confusion, turning to look at Kirishima.
"Did I say something wrong?" He muttered, only for Kirishima to laugh harder. He scoffed looking back at who he assumed to be his boyfriend.
He was covering his face, muttering something unintelligible, before squeaking out an "I gotta go" and running up the stairs.
Katsuki's question was never answered.
Katsuki sat on the couch with his friends as the scrolled through their camera rolls, showing him things they've done together. In one of the photos, the boy from earlier could be seen. Just looking at a picture of him made his heart flutter.
Pointing to him, Katsuki turned to Mina "What's his name?"
Mina clicked her tongue "Ah, that's Midoriya. You call him Deku, though." Kaminari snickered from his spot on the floor when he realized who Katsuki had pointed to.
He ignored him, furrowing his brows at Mina's response. Why would he call the person he assumed to be his boyfriend Deku?
The group continued their scrolling, that was until they were interrupted by a certain person walking past the couch and to the kitchen, causing Katsuki to look up from the phone and stare at him.
He's more beautiful every time he sees him.
Katsuki got up from the couch, following Midoriya and ignoring the Ooo's and eyebrow wiggles from his friends. Pausing in front of the counter, he leaned over it, waiting for Midoriya to turn around and notice him.
Midoriya did eventually turn around, letting out a startled yelp and nearly dropping all of his food.
"Kacchan! Uh, hi..." Midoriya smiled nervously, and to Katsuki it was still adorable.
"Hi" He replied, a soft smile overtaking his face and making Midoriya gain a confused look.
"Did you. Want something?" Midoriya asked, swaying on his feet and glancing to the general direction of the stairs.
Katsuki shook his head "No. Just wanted to see you." he paused, watching Midoriya's cheeks slowly flush "You're really pretty, y'know?" Midoriya's face was fully red by now.
"You uhm. You're gonna regret saying that by the time the quirk wears off..." He muttered, biting his lip and looking away from Katsuki.
He frowned "Why would I regret it?"
"Because you don't mean it? You're under the influence of a quirk. You don't even know me." Katsuki tried to ignore the sadness lacing his voice.
"Of course I mean it. I still know how I feel towards people." He nodded matter-of-factly, smiling as Midoriya continued to blush. "We've got to be together. There's no way we aren't. Not with how I feel."
Midoriya muttered an "Oh my god..." rushing out of the kitchen faster than the guy with the speed quirk ever could. Katsuki frowned, wondering why no one would give him a straight answer. Not that he needed a confirmation. He was almost certain they were together. Not when his heart ached and his stomach flipped at the sight of the boy. Katsuki must've confessed by now.
The only reasonable explanation for his boyfriend ignoring him was the fact that he was under the influence of a quirk (no matter how much he liked Midoriya). It was the only conclusion Katsuki could come up with.
That had to be it.
He shrugged, walking back over to the couch of friends who were waiting for him so they could continue their seemingly endless scroll of photos and videos.
After asking about 6 different people, Katsuki finally figured out what Midoriyas favorite food was and which room was his.
He stood in front of the door, holding a bowl of katsudon and waiting for his boyfriend to answer. Which he did after a few minutes, immediately looking nervous, before noticing the katsudon. Despite his confusion, his eyes lit up.
"Is that katsudon?" He asked, seemingly already knowing the answer considering his mouth was watering.
Katsuki nodded "Can I come in?"
Midoriya hesitated, thinking over whether or not he should let him in. Eventually, the door widened just enough for Katsuki to walk in. Which he did, of course.
Katsuki walked over to the bed and sat down, handing Midoriya the katsudon once he walked over. Midoriya sat down next to him, happily taking the bowl and eating the food. Katsuki sat in silence, not minding how quiet it was. He enjoyed Midoriya's presence. After a couple bites, Midoriya looked up.
"Thank you kacchan, this is really good." A soft smile, and before Katsuki could respond, he began to speak again. "So, do you really like me?"
He paused, not expecting that kind of question to come from the guy he was presumably dating. "Of course I do. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't?" Midoriya grimaced when he said boyfriend, chewing on his lip and looking back down at his food. Katsuki frowned "We are dating, right? Cause I really like you." Midoriya looked back up, the faintest blush dusting his cheeks as he softly smiled. It was more of a sad expression, making Katsuki think they weren't together. If they weren't dating, Katsuki might have to punch himself for not having asked out Midoriya already.
The two ended up having meaningless conversation for hours, Katsuki getting Midoriya to rant about some random think he couldn't care less about, but it was nice hearing Midoriya talk. Katsuki ended up falling asleep, curled up with Midoriya. He ignored the sigh his boyfriend let out before slumber overtook him. He never heard Midoriya say "I wish we were really together."
Katsuki woke up confused. He wasn't in his room, and the pillow he was lying on didn't feel like a pillow at all. It felt more like... a person.
He jolted up, staring down at Izuku, confused and blushing. The memories from the previous days came rushing in. Katsuki basically confessing his crush to Midoriya, insisting they were dating, falling asleep in his bed-
Holy shit Katsuki had confessed.
Izuku stirred, rubbing his eyes and squinting up at Katsuki, "Kacchan? You ok?"
Katsuki jumped from the bed, muttering the most sorries hes ever said in his life, and rushing out the room. Izuku yelled out behind him, and it wasn't until he was halfway to his room that he realized Izuku was following him.
He ran past a confused Kirishima while on the staircase, whos face morphed into one of surprised when Izuku also ran past, yelling "Kacchan, wait!". Kirishima shook his head, almost immediately pulling his phone out to text Mina.
Katsuki rushed into his room, going to close the door before a panting Izuku stopped it with his foot. He looked up at Katsuki, eyes wide and face red. Whether it was blush or because of the running Katsuki couldn't tell.
"Jesus kacchan! What was that for?" He asked, trying to catch his breath as he looked at him with worry as he walked in the room and closed the door.
Katsuki swallowed thickly, meeting Izuku's gaze and whispering another sorry. At this point, he might as well set the record for amount of sorries said in the span of 5 minutes.
Izuku shook his head "That's not helpful. Why the hell are you sorry?"
Katsuki grimmaced, looking away before looking back. "I didn't mean to make you feel awkward. Y'know. By uhm. Confessing."
He awaited a response, but all he got was a blank faced, blinking Izuku. Eventually, Izuku huffed "You're so weird."
Izuku leaned forward and kissed Katsuki, pulling back almost immediately. Katsuki's eyes went wide, before he realized what just happened and they softened, leaning forward to kiss Izuku again.
After a few moments they both pulled back, Izuku laughing while Katsuki's smiled dropped to a pout. "You're such a dork." Izuku said through giggles, causing Katsuki to huff and flick his forehead.
"To answer your question, I wouldn't mind dating you." Izuku muttered once he stopped laughing. Katsuki smiled, shaking his head, whispering an "I'd hope so." before leaning back down to kiss Izuku again.
