Work Text:

"In the city, the sky darkened, sparkly stars shining, and the moon in its half phase."

"A shadowy, short figure sat on top of a small building. The wind blew his green curly hair, causing strands to prick his eyes." It was cold but yet also warm. The trees moved there branches with there leaves faling down slowly creating a pile of them.

"From his vantage point, he could see stores displaying their wares and straight roads illuminated by the lights of passing cars."

"Something 's off. Who looks both ways and darts behind a building? A criminal, of course!" Izuku thought seeing the way a person has sprint like flash away.

"He jumped off the building not too many feet away but enough to land with a *huff*. He ran attentively to the side where the man had disappeared, across the straight road."

"He quickened his pace, peeking around the corner where the man had vanished into a narrow path lined with green bushes, a lamp post, and alleyways."

"Alright, gotta move carefully. If that suspicious figure went this way, there might be a secret meeting... so I should hurry, izuku continue following but also making sure to not carry much attention advancing silently to where they went, Izuku stood behind the alleyway, taking a stealthy look to see if they were still there. He saw the man continue walking down the hill, unaware of the vigilante's presence, feeling nothing strange and just heading to his destination.

They turned right, where there were not many stores and only a few lampposts lighting the back of the alley. There, a man and a girl, who were held hostage by another person wearing a black suit.

"Ah, my favorite companion, Ci, you finally showed up to play. I was about to start without you," said the man in the dark suit, smiling slyly.

The person Izuku was spying on replied with a unknown tone of  voice, "Nice seeing you again, Q. What do you need me for?"

"You'll see. No more wasting time. So, one last chance, Orioles, where is my money?" the creepy man with a more menacing aura yelled, holding a gun to the girl's head as she struggled with the handcuffs on her wrists.

Izuku, also known as Velvet, panicked; he needed to think of something before they killed them.

"Look, I will give you the money I owe you in two weeks. Leave my daughter alone; she has nothing to do with this!"

"I NEED THAT MONEY NOW! I CAN'T GIVE YOU MORE TIME. IT'S BEEN SEVEN MONTHS SINCE YOU KEPT SAYING THAT! EITHER GIVE IT TO ME NOW OR YOU'RE DEAD YOU KNOW WHAT AM WASTING MY TIME TALKING BUT AT THE SAME TIME IS ENJOYABLE AM I RIGHT!" he yelled, laughing hysterically and pressing the gun harshly to the girl's head.

Just before the man could say something, Izuku jumped from the alleyway, landing on top of the guy that silence him and swiping the gun away from him standing on top of his back.

"Now listen here, random dude! Let these people go or you're going to have to go through me!" Izuku's voice trembled slightly, but his resolve was clear.

"Ha, as if—" Before he could respond, Velvet aimed the gun at the man's lower thighs and fired twice.

"You ****, you're going to pay for that!" the dark-masked man yelled angrily in pain, a mixture of rage and surprise flashing in his eyes.

Another bullet hit his knee, making him growl in agony.

In an instant, the bullets were expelled from his body, falling like small rocks. His skin closed the wounds, transforming into a creepy monster. His arms grew into big, muscular limbs as he looked up at Izuku, whose eyes were wide in terror.

Velvet thought, "This guy can heal and make his arms big. That means he could change his body size and even expel bullets. What a powerful quirk!" The little information made his brain figure out the puzzle.

Anger flooded the man's face with a huge smile as he saw the kid was distracted. He lunged towards him with a fast movement, punching him with his muscular arms in the face.

Izuku went flying into the dumpster, crashing into it and making it fall backward. A sudden, sharp pain exploded at the back of his head, making the world spin. He tried to process what had happened, feeling on the edge of passing out, but he pushed that feeling away.

Another punch was coming towards him, and out of instinct, his body rolled to the side since he was still laying down, quickly standing up. His heart pounded in his chest, adrenaline surging through his veins.

Izuku took out his long metal pole strapped behind him.

"WHAT'S WRONG, NOT SO BRAVE ANYMORE?" Ci yelled, anger boiling inside him, a twisted grin on his face.

"I NEED YOU BOTH TO GET OUT OF HERE!" the vigilante yelled worriedly at the hostages, his voice cracking with urgency.

The girl stood up, still with the handcuffs, and the dad managed to get out, carrying his daughter. Fear and desperation were etched on their faces.

Ci didn't want to let the victims go yet, so he ran towards them. But Velvet stood in front of him, hitting the man on the head with the metal pole like a pinata. *CLANG* It was a good hit, but Ci faced Izuku with a fierce look in his eyes. He raised his arms to grab him, but Izuku moved to the side, yet  Ci's took ahold of his wrist and twist it beyond its normal range.

Then, Ci's hardening fist hit Izuku in the stomach, sending him flying backward again. A nauseous feeling hit him like a wave. Yet pushed it away, His broken wrist went numb, and he winced when trying to move it. He thought to himself, "I need to find a weakness. What if he can't keep this form for too long? I guess I'm going to have to play the clown or do it the hard way."

Standing up with shaking legs, heart pounding in his chest, he ran towards Ci, holding his metal pole.

The dark-masked guy saw the small boy coming towards him but jumped high enough and landed behind him.

. Using one arm with full speed, he aimed to hit the boy from behind.

But the small boy had disappeared. "How is this boy so fast? There's no way! I was sure I was going to knock him out, and I'm not going to lose to him," thought the dark masked man. He looked down. “Where did he go?”

Velvet had gone under him and moved behind, hitting him on the back of his legs with enough force to make the man trip forward. Seizing the opportunity, he jumped on top of him, landing and grabbing his arm, twisting it behind his back, and securing the other arm next to it. The final touch was adding the handcuffs that neutralized quirks, which he had taken from one of the heroes who tried to stop him.

"Finally, that was over," Izuku thought to himself, happy with the results. Looking down at the handcuffed man, he said, “Don't escape now.”

Not noticing the second guy, the man took out a knife, summoning his quirk with the other hand to enhance his throw. He released it, and the knife hit the vigilante on the side. The pain was sharp and immediate, radiating outwards and causing his muscles to spasm. Each heartbeat sent a fresh wave of agony, making it hard to breathe, let alone move.

"Not a waste of time!" Q yelled, "Byee," quickening his pace and disappearing out of sight.

“OH SHUCKS, I FORGOT HIM! , I GOT TO GET HOME, BUT FIRST CALL THE POLICE,” Velvet thought to himself, clenching his teeth, holding his hand to the side where the knife was. Not being afraid, he pulled out the knife from his back. Wanting to scream, he held it in, biting on his mask.

Suddenly, his vision began to change. The world seemed brighter, and he couldn't stand still. But he managed to pull out his phone, trying to press the numbers for the police. It took a minute, but he got it.

"Hello, how can we help?" a woman's voice said.

"There was... an attack... meh got 'em... hem com... so tired," his words came out in a slurred, jumbled mess.

The woman was confused, trying to understand. "Uhm, sir, I can't understand you. Where are you?"

"U-u-uh **** ju 's... hurry."

"Okay, can we get your name?" the voice on his phone said gently.

"Hmmmmmmm no!!!" Izuku said happily, hanging up. "Woo! Oo, everything is spinning, hahahahaha." Walking with unstable balance, he went back the way he came, which was up a hill. Blood dripped down, staining his black sweater. Adrenaline rushed through him, keeping the pain at bay; this was a side effect of the quirk he was hit with.

“Gotta go h…ome,” Velvet thought to himself, passing through trees that seemed to look down on him like the weakling he felt he was.

Looking at the moon, he imagined it as a bowl of rice and laughed to himself.

Not far, he saw a shadow on top of a tree.

"Huh, a ghost? What the...?" he thought, seeing a figure watching him with glowing red eyes. "I... I need to fight..." he stammered, trying to challenge the figure.

"Velvet," Eraserhead said, noticing the kid bleeding from his side.

"Hahaha, Eraserhead... what do you want?" Velvet slurred, his words barely coherent.

"WHAT HAPPENED? WHY ARE YOU BLEEDING?" Eraserhead asked, worry etched on his face as he stepped closer.

"Shhh..." Izuku put a finger to his dark mouth mask, giggling.

Eraserhead quickly wrapped his scarf around the vigilante's wound to stop the bleeding and lifted him in a bridal style carry.

"Let me go... I don't want to go to jail," Izuku mumbled, trying to escape Eraserheads hold.

"Kid, you're not going to jail. Calm down, I'm just trying to help."

Izuku continued to struggle, trying to free his hands and whining as his vision doubled. "I've BEEN KIDNAPPED!" he yelled, but Eraserhead kept his cool.

"Velvet, STOP."

Almost arriving home, Velvet managed to escape the scarf's hold. Not realizing there was an edge of a building, he tripped and fell backward. "FINALLY!"

"NO!" Aizawa yelled, pulling his scarf up and then down. The scarf caught Velvet's body, but the kid started throwing a tantrum. "Come on, that's what Kacchan would say, good!" he muttered. Huh, who was this Kacchan the problem child mentioned?

The kid was back up on the building, then let himself

"VELVET YOU NEED TO LISENT TO ME !" Eraserhead repeated, lifting him up . He felt a mix of shock, fear, and deep concern as he carried him, wrapping the wound tighter.

"Let me go!" yelled the vigilante, struggling in his grasp.

"No, first let me help you. Just stop, I am not a villain, I am a hero," Eraserhead spoke seriously, continuing his way home.

Finally, he opened the door. Present Mic saw the drunk vigilante kid and gasped, "Oh my gosh, Shō, he's bleeding!"

"I a-am fine," Izuku slurred, but Aizawa turned to Present Mic. "Take him, I’m going to grab the medical supplies."

Present Mic wrapped one arm around Izuku's shoulders, holding onto his wrist with one hand. Immediately, a sharp, intense pain shot up in Izuku's wrist, causing him to pull away instinctively.

"Oh my, I’m so sorry, I didn't know you were injured," Present Mic said nervously, a look of sadness crossing his face. He decided to grab Izuku again, first by his head and then his back, surprising him and gently placing him on the couch.

Aizawa rushed to the bathroom, washing his hands with warm water. He grabbed medical supplies, paper towels, a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and scissors from the cabinet, hurrying back to where Hizashi was.

Hizashi saw him and quickly took the scissors and napkins, cutting the fabric of Izuku's sweater where the wound was and holding a small towel over it.

For the wound to stop the bleeding, then cleaning the blood, Aizawa noticed a gap that wasn't good. "He's going to need stitches in a hurry. Let's switch spots," he said worriedly to Hizashi. Hizashi got up and moved, allowing Aizawa to take his place. Aizawa pulled out an empty syringe and poured in a numbing agent. He injected the liquid into the boy's side, causing the boy to let out a wince.

"You're going to be okay. Hang on," Aizawa said, his voice filled with concern. He waited a few seconds, then put on gloves and started the process.

"Why is he drunk?" Hizashi asked curiously. "He's so young."

"I found him like that... When this kid snaps out of it, I'm going to give him a whole lecture," Aizawa replied, frustration evident in his tone.

"I'm hungry..." Velvet said, seemingly oblivious, as he looked at the blurred figures of a fully black and a fully yellow figure standing in front of him, making him laugh.

He heard nothing, so he turned his head to the right and saw a black furry cat that looked fluffy to touch. Reaching out his hand to touch it, the cat was actually sitting next to the other sofa. He felt a gentle, warm hand grab his and put it away. Enjoying the warm, tingling feeling, he held onto it, putting his finger on top of it.

"Awww, look! He's playing with my hand," Hizashi exclaimed.

Aizawa ignored him, focusing on stitching the wound carefully. "I don't want it to become infected," he muttered under his breath.

Velvet felt the drowsiness hit him like a brick; his eyes grew heavy as he let go of whatever he was holding onto and closed his eyes, drifting into a deep sleep.

Aizawa finally finished tending to the vigilante who had fallen asleep and muttered, "Of course he falls asleep now," his voice a mix of frustration and relief that Izuku was finally calm.

Present Mic chuckled, "Well, at least he's okay for now. Sadly, I wish I could stay longer, but I gotta go. I'll leave him with you."

"Alright, bye."

"Bye.”

Few hours passed,"Izuku opened his eyes, blinking against the harsh light. His heart raced as he tried to piece together what had just happened. Panic surged through him as he realized he was on a couch and a cat on top of him. 'What... where am I?' he thought, a mix of fear and embarrassment flooding his mind."

Just then, he heard a familiar voice. 'Velvet, are you awake?' Eraser Head's stern yet concerned face came into view. Aizawa knelt beside him, his usually tired eyes now focused and alert. 'Take it easy. You gave us quite a scare,' he said, his tone softer than usual. Izuku tried to sit up, but Aizawa gently placed a hand on his shoulder, keeping him down. 'Rest for a moment. You're safe now.'" Then handling a black plastic bag.

"Izuku was surely confused taking the bag out of his hands , his eyes vibrate “how did he come to the person who was after him and what happened”.

The moments of what happened seem to appear flashing through his mind making him feel very warm in his cheeks because of the embarrassment and now desires to run away especially the memory of where he holds PRESENT MIC HAND?!! ”.

Out of sudden, His stomach felt like it was twisting into knots, with a sour taste in his mouth. His mouth watery, feeling like a raging storm in his stomach.

“ Velvet are you okay”

“ Just leave I need A seco-” izuku turned sharply, his body instinctively moved to the side ignoring the agony of pain and moving his mask down and leaning over the bag puking the piece of bread and other foods .

"Alright," Eraser Head said, his voice carrying a hint of softness. With a swift movement, he turned and walked away.

"Izuku Doubled over, his body still convulsing as he emptied the contents of his stomach onto the plastic black bag.

After that his body trembles, his hands shaking, tying the bag and lifting his mask up and then sitting in a sit up position , letting his arms go limp on his side, breathing heavily. His body is tired looking down he realized his sweater was cut open and a bandage on it. “HUH WHY IS MY SWEATER RIP oh right I got stabbed pfft that's nothing”.

Eraserhead comes in after no longer hearing the vigilante throwing up.

“Are you okay”

“Ye”

Aizawa saw the kid's eyes, dark circles under them that surpassed even his own. His eyes looked like those of a sad puppy. It hurt him inside, just how he had met this kid and already felt like he had known him for a long time.

“Velvet, whatever you're struggling with, you don't have to deal with it alone. I can help you,” Aizawa said softly.

After a moment of silence, Velvet asked, “Why do you care?” His voice was filled with frustration and confusion. He couldn't understand why, all of a sudden, someone wanted to help him when no one had in his past. There had always been constant insults and beatings from those who were supposed to care for him, and now a complete stranger wanted to help him?

“Because I care. I want to help you. I know you're just a kid, and I don't want you to keep hurting yourself playing hero,” Aizawa said with sincere truth, his tone firm yet gentle.

“I don't need your pity. I was fine on my own, focusing on saving more important stuff instead of wasting your time with me like the other heroes,” Velvet's voice was harsh. At that moment, he didn't find a need to care. Having lost everybody and being all alone, he had learned to be independent.

Aizawa kept himself from flinching, closing his eyes to think of a response. He then opened them and let out a sigh. “It's not pity but a word of advice. You may see words as useless, but if you know the right way to talk, you can use them well. You may see yourself as if you can carry it all, but it's okay to ask for help. You don't have to do everything alone, even the strongest people break down or need a break emotions is part of life thats why its okay to let them out .”

Velvet's tough exterior began to crack just a little at Aizawa's words. The sincerity and care in Aizawa's voice were something he hadn't experienced in a long time, if ever. It was a small step, but maybe, just maybe, he could start to trust again.

And instantly Velvet found himself hugging Aizawa eyes threatening to let themselves free out of the chains of his mind.

“It's okay kid, it's okay,” Aizawa said softly returningthe hug back being careful not to hurt him. Velvet was like a son to him which was weird because how can you see a stranger that way.
