Today was the day, today was Finral's 18th birthday and that means that today he would be assigned his subgender, he was so excited and could hardly wait to perform the ritual. Langris, his stepmother and his father had to come along reluctantly as it was something very important and some other nobles would be there as well, they would wonder why Finral is alone in this extremely important ritual, it would cast a bad light on the family so they had to go along with him.
Shortly after the ritual began, he was also called, the doctor held a crystal in his hands, he explained to Finral what he had to do, as he had already explained to the other two guys before him, the crystals of the two had turned yellow, which means that they are betas, Finral hoped to become a beta too. "Okay Finral so you just have to let a little bit of your magic flow through the crystal, then it will take on either the color red, blue or yellow, you know what colors mean, right?" Financially nodded and put his hands around the crystal, trembling with excitement, and let a little of his magi flow into it, which shortly afterwards changed its color.
Blue... Aquamarine... that was the color the crystal shone in, it meant that he was an omega.... an omega. As if his life wasn't bad enough, no now he has to present it as an Omega... there are certainly people who would be happy about it but not Finral, he had hoped so much to become a beta, he already knew that he would never become an alpha, but he hadn't expected an omega either. "Oh wow and I thought you couldn't fall any lower Nii-chan" it came mockingly from his little brother, but Finral just smiled, he didn't dare to look into Langri's eyes, he was ashamed of his new subgender. "How pathetic you are, no wonder you are an omega, your whole being is already crying out for it" Finral just smiled at his brother's stabbing, he knew it wouldn't be good to argue anyway, besides, he didn't want to trigger a conflict, so he just kept silent and let it go.
Just one and a half year later, it was time for Langri's ritual. "Now watch it useless omega I'll show you how to get a reasonable subgender." Frinral hated it, the way his little brother looks down on his subgender, but he couldn't change it either, so he just ignored the snippets of comments and just looked forward. "So Langris-"-"Doc you don't have to explain anything to me, I already know how it works" the Doctor just nodded and handed Langris his crystal. Shortly after Langris let his Magi flow through the crystal, it began to shine bright red. Langris was an alpha...'Just as expected...' Finral thought and turned his gaze away from Langris. "Maybe you'll manage to become at least a beta in your next life" Langris said and looking at Finral with his typically mocking and almost disgusted eyes. Finral managed to look his brother in the eye. Langris was now almost 10 cm taller than himself, it was strange to look up to his little brother and strangely enough it seemed to please his Omega.
What a great alpha... we have to obey to his wishes and make the alpha like us!
'What?! No! Never! This is my little brother you sick Creature!'
And since that day Frinral has been denying his omega and it's nature.
