Chapter Text

The very first time Sanemi lays eyes on him, he knows. In that brief moment, as this breathtaking man walks by him, hands laden with books as he no doubt hurries to his next class, Sanemi knows. One slender hand tucking a stray strand of jet black hair behind his ear as mesmerizing dark blue eyes take in his surroundings, scanning over Sanemi’s form quickly before fixing- again- to the path ahead. That fleeting encounter is all he needs to know he has to have him.

‘Fuck he’s beautiful. I'm going to make him mine.’

He's half tempted to turn around and follow him but Sanemi thinks better of it. He has his own business to attend to, plus he doesn't want to scare the pretty little thing by coming off as a stalker, so he keeps walking, only briefly glancing back to watch him go and tells himself he'll find him tomorrow.

It's harder than he anticipated, apparently his little crush is from out of town and just moved to the city at the beginning of the semester for his first year of college, so he has no family and very few friends in the area. Good. He's already shaping up to be the perfect partner for him, a little young at only 19 but Sanemi doesn’t mind.

~

He doesn't have any pressing matters to attend to the next day so Sanemi goes to the campus to find his little crush. He'd done a bit of digging and found out the pretty boy's name is Tomioka. Giyuu Tomioka and he has a job at the bakery/coffee shop on campus so that's where he currently is. Occupying one of the small tables in one corner of the cafe and sipping on some overly sweet, milky beverage he'd ordered at random while he watches for his little crush to come to the counter.

The bell at the front door rings loudly as it's pushed open and in walks a man with red tipped, bright yellow hair, Sanemi thinks it’s a bit much but doesn't spare too much time to look at the man who sits at the table in front of his. His eyes travel back up to the counter and he finally sees who he came for, though he doesn't expect to see the boy coming from the back with a stained apron and flour on his pretty face.

He murmurs something to whom Sanemi can only imagine is his manager before going back through the swinging door he just emerged from. He returns a few seconds later, pushing through the little swing door in a portion of the counter and starts heading towards the table where the man with the crazy hair sat down.

He sits down across from the other man, his back to Sanemi, and the man greets him quite loudly. Sanemi grits his teeth but does nothing, just sits there and observes them, still sipping that insipid drink he'd bought for himself. He can't hear what they're saying so he pretends to occupy himself with his phone, however he does steal a few glances every now and then.

Every few seconds the man makes a loud declaration about how tasty the food is while he gorges himself on almost every pastry the place has on its menu. Sanemi finds him incredibly annoying and wonders how someone as quiet as Giyuu seems to be, could stand to be in the presence of this obnoxious idiot.

Sanemi can't seem to keep his eyes off the pretty brunette, no matter how hard he tries. The man had the type of elegant beauty one couldn't help but notice. Even from behind, Sanemi can see the sharp cut of his jawline and how smooth the skin of his slender neck is. He wants to sink his teeth into it. Mark it. Make it bleed.

He’s not aware he's staring until he catches the movement of the loud man's hand nudging Giyuu's. He juts his chin in Sanemi’s direction and whispers something to Giyuu who immediately turns around to look at him, causing his friend to facepalm at his social ineptitude. Sanemi doesn't flinch, nor does he look away. He wants Giyuu to know he's caught his attention so he maintains eyes contact and smiles when Giyuu gives him a questioning look.

After a few seconds, Giyuu turns back to face his friend who starts to whisper something to him. They exchange whispers for a few seconds while Sanemi stews about not having Giyuu's attention on him until the man himself rises from his seat and comes over to take the vacant seat at Sanemi’s table. He's a little surprised by the bold move but Sanemi reminds himself quiet doesn't always mean shy and this man is clearly not shy.

“Do I know you?” Giyuu questions with a curious tilt of his head.

‘Right to the point I see.’

“Not yet.” Sanemi purrs. “I was hoping we could change that.”

Giyuu blinks at him for a few seconds, nibbling at his bottom lip before responding. “It's very weird to stare at people you don't know like that, you aren’t exactly average looking and you might scare people.”

“I didn't mean to make you nervous. You're just very beautiful, I couldn't help myself. Did it make you uncomfortable?” Sanemi keeps sipping his drink, though by now it's gotten warm and is rather disgusting, he needs something to keep his hands occupied.

“A little. You could have just said something to me.”

“Didn't wanna interrupt your date.” Sanemi glances briefly at the man still sitting at the other table before refocusing on the bombshell in front of him. He really is too fucking gorgeous.

“Oh. We aren’t dating. He's my friend.” Giyuu thinks this guy is a little odd to say the least, he does have quite the attractive face, even if it is bisected by a gnarly looking scar running from his right ear to below his left eye and an additional scar on his forehead.

Sanemi couldn't be more relieved to hear those words but he can't let it show so he keeps the conversation going.

“Is that so? What's your name pretty?”

“Tomioka Giyuu.”

“Tomioka Giyuu. You can call me Sanemi. You don't mind if I call you Giyuu, right beautiful? Since we'll be dating soon anyway.” Sanemi feels a sick sense of satisfaction at the cute little blush that lights up Giyuu’s face.

“You're quite forward.”

“I like to go after what I want.” Sanemi flashes him a lopsided smile and Giyuu blushes even darker.

“What if I say I'm not interested? What then?”

“You wouldn't be sitting here if you weren't, sweetheart. Do you have a boyfriend? Is that why you're hesitating?” Sanemi isn't worried if he does. He'll just have to get rid of him, an easy enough task in his opinion.

“No, I don't have a boyfriend. I just don't know you.”

“That's the whole point of dating, angel. For us to get to know each other.” Giyuu nibbles at his lips while he seems to consider it and Sanemi has to fight the urge to reach across the table and grab him just so he can have a taste of those lips himself.

“Fine. I've got nothing to lose anyway, might as well try.” He shrugs and Sanemi couldn't hold back his smile if he tried.

‘Nothing to lose? I can't fucking wait to test that theory.’

He slides his phone across the table, pushing it into Giyuu's delicate hands. “Gimme your number, sweetheart. I'll call you later and we can talk about that date.”

Giyuu does as he's told without a word before sliding the phone back. “What time do you get off work?”

“My shift ends at two.”

“So soon?” Sanemi glances at his watch, it's only fifteen minutes past 12.

“Yes. I started at 6 today. I usually go home and take a nap before my 5pm class.”

“What time does that end? I'll call you after.” Sanemi loves how naive Giyuu seems to be, offering all this information so freely, even though they just met. He could really get himself in trouble with a habit like that.

“6:30. I should be back at my dorm by 7 so that would be a good time.”

Sanemi smiles at that. ‘What a good boy.’

“Perfect. I'll call you later then.” He rises from his seat and offers a hand to help Giyuu out of his own. He doesn't let go of Giyuu's hand until he's back at the table with his friend, enjoying the pretty blush that paints his cheeks. He wonders just how untouched his little angel is to make him blush at those simple actions but he figures he'll find out soon enough.

“Enjoy the rest of your shift, sweetheart. We'll talk later.” Sanemi says, brushing a stray hair out of his face before he leaves, completely ignoring his friend who is still sitting at the table.

As Sanemi walks towards his car he can't help the sick sense of satisfaction he feels from getting what he wants. He has to admit, he didn't expect that to be so easy but he's happy it was. He can't wait to have that beautiful man at his beck and call.

~

“So?”

Giyuu glances up at his friend, Rengoku Kyojurou, as he gives him a questioning look and gestures at him. “Oh. You want to know what happened.”

“Yes! Jeez sometimes I forget you aren't so forthcoming with information. Please, I would like to know what the hot man said.”

“He is pretty hot, if a little intense.” The tiniest smile grazes Giyuu’s face and Kyojurou can already tell he's smitten.

“He does seem so intense but in that dominant, manly sorta way. But that's not the point right now Yuu. What did he say?”

“He doesn't know me. Apparently he just thinks I'm pretty and wanted to ask me out.” Giyuu blushes lightly as he recalls the way their conversation went.

“Aaaaaaaand?” Kyojurou presses.

“He's very assertive and knows exactly what he wants. He also isn't afraid to ask for it, I like that. I gave him my number.”

Kyojurou squeals in excitement. “Exactly your type, right?! Muscular, mean looking and a little aggressive?” he adds with a wink. “Do you think you'll actually date him though?”

He knows Giyuu changes his mind very easily and gets bored with people quite quickly. He hopes this guy is interesting enough to keep his friend occupied and satisfy his mind's incessant need for new things to consume.

“Sure. I can at least try. He seems nice.”

“I guess we'll see what happens! If he calls you, you should call me afterwards. I wanna know EVERYTHING!” Giyuu laughs at his friend's antics.

“You're so nosy . I'll call you, if I don't fall asleep first.” He starts to get up from his seat. “I gotta get back to work, ok. See you in class.”

“See you.” Kyojurou gives him a cheerful wave as he goes back around the counter and disappears into the kitchen. All throughout the rest of his shift, Giyuu can't keep his mind from wandering back to that exchange he had with Sanemi. He keeps replaying the events of their conversation over and over in his head. He wonders what it is about Sanemi that made him so comfortable around him.

Usually he hated any form of contact with a stranger and he had to admit that he found it a little weird that Sanemi was just staring at him like that but the man was extremely attractive and Giyuu appreciated his bluntness. He usually had a hard time communicating with people. They thought his forward nature and blunt way of speaking was rude and oftentimes he would miss the hints people tried to give him so Sanemi’s direct communication was a breath of fresh air.

‘What harm could there possibly be in giving him a chance?’

That tiny bit of excitement at the new development in his life stayed with him in the hours following his shift and only slightly faded by the time he's finished with his class.

He opens the door to his dorm and frowns when he spots his roommate lounging on his bed. He'd hoped to be alone tonight as his roommate could be a bit obnoxious and loud but he figures it doesn't matter now.

He has about ten minutes to himself before his phone starts ringing. He takes a shaky breath before he picks up, a shiver climbing up his spine as that gravelly voice travels through his speaker.

“Hey angel.”

‘Gods why does he sound even better over the phone? His voice is so deep.’

“H-hi.”

“Made it back to your dorm ok? How was your class?” Sanemi's voice disarms him alarmingly quickly and Giyuu doesn't even try to figure out why. This man just seems to be very good at putting him at ease.

“Yea. Class was ok, we didn't do much because we have practical exams coming up soon.”

“What do you study, sweetheart?”

“Culinary arts.” He's a little shy about telling people what he does in school because he hates the fact that it's always followed up with someone asking him to cook for them. For free.

“Oh? I might have to hire you to teach me then. You'll have to showcase those talents for me one day, angel.” Sanemi purrs.

“Maybe if you're good, I could spare some time.” He leans back against his pillows, smiling to himself.

"I'll be so good to you baby. You have no idea. Now about that date, when can I pick you up?”

“I'm free on Friday and Sunday. I also have classes early Saturday so I'm free in the afternoon.”

“Friday sounds good. I'll text you the details angel-”

Giyuu hears a loud bang in the background of the call followed by someone else's frantic voice, though he can't quite make out what's being said.

“Can't you see I'm on the fucking phone! What?!” Sanemi snaps at the person interrupting them.

There's more frantic rambling that Giyuu can't quite catch and when Sanemi responds, it's in a language he recognizes as Asian but doesn't speak. They exchange a few sentences back and forth before Sanemi addresses him again.

“I'm sorry to cut our call short angel but there's something that needs my attention.”

“Of course. I don't wanna keep you if it's important. We can talk later…… if you're available.” Giyuu wonders briefly what kind of emergency it might be but his mind is soon distracted thinking about Sanemi speaking different languages.

‘I wonder how many he knows? Maybe he can teach me.’

“I'll make time sweetheart. I'll call you later.”

Before Giyuu can form a response, the call is cut off.

~

The next time he sees Sanemi, he's again blown away by just how handsome he is. When he comes out of his dorm building, Sanemi is leaning against a beautiful black BMW M5 waiting for him and Giyuu can’t help the sliver of arousal he feels at seeing him.

He looks good. Really good. Wearing a tight black button down and slacks, his shiny dress shoes clicked against the pavement as he approached Giyuu.

‘He’s so well dressed. I wonder if he always dresses like this?’

Some might say his attire is very simple but in Giyuu's opinion he looks extremely good. He hated flashy clothing and preferred to keep his own style of dressing very simple; he could appreciate a man who could do the same and still manage to have his mouth watering.

“Hey there, angel. You look nice.” Sanemi says, a soft smile grazing his lips as he brushes that errant piece of hair out of Giyuu’s face. He'd decided to wrap his unruly hair up into a bun for this occasion, aiming to match the aesthetic of his outfit, a soft pair of black slacks and a navy blue knitted sweater.

“Thank you.” Giyuu replies shyly. “You're not so bad yourself.”

“Shall we go?” Sanemi casts him a smirk at the tease, resting a large hand on his lower back to guide him into the passenger seat of his car. To Giyuu surprise, Sanemi reaches over him, grabbing the seat belt to buckle him in and make sure he's comfortable before closing the door and rounding the car to get in.

The drive is a short one, the two making small talk about Giyuu's classes and part time job. He wants to ask more about what he does for work but they arrive at their destination and he's quickly ushered inside.

Giyuu can't help the little surprised gasp that falls from his lips when he walks through the restaurant doors. It's beautiful. Marble walls and floors, crystal chandeliers and beautiful dinnerware, the low light making them twinkle.

They're quickly ushered to a private table on a balcony overlooking the city, the sole candle lit table looking incredibly inviting but Giyuu can't help but wonder how exactly Sanemi is able to afford such opulence.

Sanemi pulls his chair out for him and ensures he's seated comfortably before taking his own seat. A waiter seems to materialize out of nowhere to offer them water and their menus before leaving.

“This is…… nice.” Giyuu can't keep his eyes from wandering. From taking in the extravagance of their surroundings.

“Yea? You like it? I hoped you would, it's one of my favorite restaurants.” Sanemi says, that charming smile cutting across his face again. He reaches over and snatches Giyuu’s menu from his hands. “Do you have any allergies, angel?”

“Yes, tree nuts. Other than that I'm good.” Giyuu usually doesn't like these shows of masculine dominance but for some odd reason it suits Sanemi so well that not only does he not mind but the sheer sex appeal rolling off Sanemi in waves has him squirming in his seat.

“Good to know. Any preferences?”

“Seafood.” Giyuu knows it's vague but if Sanemi wants to impress him, then he'll have to try. He won't give him all the tools to win him over.

“Alright angel.” Sanemi smiles, casting his eyes back to the menu in his hand.

Giyuu takes the time to observe him while he's distracted. His white hair gleams in the low light, a direct contrast to the thick black lashes framing his alluring lavender colored eyes. Two large scars run clean across his face, one from his temple to the middle of his forehead and the other from his right ear to just below his left eye. Though the scars are quite jarring to those who are seeing him for the first time, it takes nothing away from how attractive he is.

His nose is a little crooked, seemingly having been broken before, his cheekbones high and his jaw sharp but the thing that Giyuu finds his eyes focusing on is those lips. His bottom lip is plump and pink, slightly darker than the top, and Giyuu feels a spark of jealousy every time it gets pulled between Sanemi’s strangely sharp teeth, that he isn't the one pulling on it instead.

Giyuu hadn't realized he zoned out until his appetizer was put in front of him.

“You with me, pretty boy?” Sanemi smirks at him and Giyuu has to admit this man is charming him with little effort.

“Sorry. I was just thinking about something.” Giyuu says.

“Care to share?”

“Keep being so charming and maybe you'll find out soon enough.” Giyuu responds with a smile that sends butterflies fluttering in his stomach.

The food is good and the conversation is even better, Giyuu is a bit surprised by how easily Sanemi manages to charm him, but his wit and charisma is effortless and Giyuu finds himself enamored by the time their meal is over.

Sanemi on the other hand relishes how sweet and gullible his pretty little prize is. He watches with mounting satisfaction as his carefully constructed facade enchants this boy. His venomous fangs sink deeper into his prey the longer they sit across from each other.

‘I can't wait to ruin you.’

He ushers Giyuu out to the parking lot and back to his car, thinking of how adorable he is as he glances behind them every few seconds. He doesn't know it yet but his entire life is about to change.

“Did you- did we just dine and dash?” Giyuu asks, pulling his arm to stop him.

“No, angel. It was taken care of, I promise.” He brushes Giyuu's bangs back so he can look at his pretty face. Those brilliant blue eyes shining up at him so vulnerably makes the dark, twisted thing inside him writhe with the ravenous need to devour that innocence. To take it for himself and not share it with anyone.

“Come. Let me take you back to your dorm.” He ushers Giyuu to the car with a firm hand against the small of his back, opening the door for him once again and securing his seat belt. He takes careful note of the effect these little acts of dominance have on Giyuu and so far he is getting the exact reaction he'd hoped for. His pretty boy just sits back and lets him have his way and he couldn't be happier.

They drive back in comfortable silence, his hand resting on Giyuu's thigh, though not high enough to make him uncomfortable with the contact. When they arrive at the school, he hops out to open Giyuu's door and offers a hand to help him out of the car.

“Would you like me to walk you in?”

He shakes head, looking up at Sanemi with those vibrant eyes. “I'm ok from here.”

Sanemi can see the expectation reflected in his eyes and as much as he wants to start this slow, he finds himself cupping that soft cheek, his massive hand spans out across Giyuu’s temple and into his dark hair. Giyuu leans into the gentle touch and Sanemi smiles at him, thumbing at his cheeks softly.

“I don't want to move too quickly with this but I really want to kiss you, angel.”

His slender hand wraps around Sanemi's wrist and he gives him an earnest look. “What if I want you to? What then?”

There's a warning on the tip of Sanemi’s tongue- something about playing with fire? Maybe something about poking the bear- but he's too selfish, too greedy to issue it because he wants. He wants and he doesn't have the restraint to not take what is being so freely given.

“I might have to make an exception.” He whispers against Giyuu lips, already leaning in without noticing. Their lips press together in a soft kiss. Ever so gently slotting together, though the gentleness doesn't last very long. Sanemi's arms wrap around Giyuu's slim waist, pulling him against his chest as he deepens the kiss.

Sharp teeth sink into Giyuu's plush bottom lip, pulling a gasp from his chest. Sanemi takes the opportunity to explore Giyuu's warm mouth with his tongue, mapping the entirety of the welcoming space and rubbing his tongue against Giyuu's. The smaller man moans into the kiss, quickly overwhelmed by how good it feels. He seems to be frozen with his hands hovering in the air so Sanemi encourages him to touch by pulling them around his neck.

They get lost in each other's presence, Giyuu's hands wrapping in the short hairs at the nape of Sanemi’s neck while Sanemi’s hands map the delicate shape of his waist. They moan into each other's mouths and Sanemi slots one leg between Giyuu's, pressing him back against the car as he explores him even further. His hands slip down to his hips, rubbing circles into the flesh before moving to cup his plush ass, pulling Giyuu forward and forcing him to grind against his muscular thigh.

Giyuu breaks the kiss, throwing his head back to moan loudly.

Sanemi shushes him, a satisfied smile tugging at his lips as he takes in just how wrecked Giyuu looks already. Just from a little kissing. ‘I'm going to wreck you pretty boy. Just you wait.’

“We should stop.” Sanemi relishes the disappointment etched into those beautiful features, he wants to give Giyuu what he wants but he has a goal and in order to achieve that, he needs to play the perfect gentleman. “C'mon pretty, don't look at me like that, you have class in the morning and this isn't the time or the place.”

Giyuu full on pouts this time, plush bottom lip sticking out in the most adorable display of petulance.

“You're adorable.”

“And you're a tease.”

“Would you prefer I fuck you here?” Sanemi gestures vaguely at the parking lot around them.

“You can always come up to my dorm.” Giyuu offers.

Sanemi chuckles at that, he'd rather die than fuck Giyuu in those tiny fucking dorm beds with an audience if his roommate and whoever happens to be next door.

“You're sweet. No, I have a bed big enough for you to be more than comfortable in an apartment big enough for you to scream your pretty little head off without having to worry about the neighbors calling the cops. Just be patient, angel.”

Giyuu rolls his eyes with a dramatic huff and Sanemi has to clench his jaw to keep his temper in check. He pinches Giyuu's chin between two fingers to tilt his head up.

“Don't do that baby. I won't tolerate the attitude, don't roll your eyes at me.” Sanemi whispers, brushing his knuckles across Giyuu's cheek.

“Ok.” He murmurs, pulling that plush bottom lip between his teeth. “M'sorry.”

“S'okay angel. Gimme a kiss.” Giyuu obliges, standing on his toes to press his lips against Sanemi’s.

“Call me tomorrow?”

“Of course, angel. Go on, I'm waiting til you get inside.” Sanemi leans against the car, shoving his hands in his pockets as he watches Giyuu make his way into the building. Once he's inside Sanemi gets in his car and drives away.

He goes back to the warehouse before he goes to his apartment, just to make sure everything is in working order. He's greeted by his younger brother as he walks in.

“How was the date?” Genya asks with a sly smile.

“None of your fucking business. Did my shipment come in?” Sanemi unbuttons the first three buttons of his shirts and rolls his sleeves up while he walks. He hates wearing his clothes buttoned up so high but he'd prefer to keep his tattoos and markings hidden for the time being.

“It did. Right on time. Also, you remember that missing inventory you asked us to investigate.” His only response is a noncommittal grunt so Genya continues.

“We found out where it went. One of our runners had been stealing.” Sanemi's head snaps in his direction, giving him a fierce look that has Genya hurrying to clarify their state of affairs.

“We already caught him! Tengen took care of it personally and once we started pressing them, he ran. A few of our boys in blue caught him trying to skip town.”

“Where is he now?” Sanemi growls.

“Gallows. Akaza got a hold of him first. He's in pretty bad shape already.”

“I wanna see for myself.” Sanemi growls, heading for the staircase that leads to the basement. He descends the staircase quickly, finding the room Akaza and his victim currently occupy by the sound of screaming and nauseating sound of a blunt objecting smacking against flesh. As he enters the room, the revolting smell of blood is the first thing he’s greeted by, followed by the sight of Akaza standing above a beaten and bloodied body chained to the floor.

“I’ll ask you one more time, you pathetic worm! Who else were you working with!”

A hacking cough is all that emerges from the mangled body on the floor at his feet and Sanemi can’t help but sneer at what was once one of his best men as he reaches Akaza’s side.

“You. I can’t say I’m surprised but I am fucking disgusted.” Sanemi plants a foot on the man’s head, grinding it into the concrete floor. Akaza had done quite the number on him, both his legs were twisted in the wrong direction, one hand clearly shattered, his body littered with bruises and his right eye swollen shut. He bled from multiple open wounds that caused blood to pool on the ground beneath him and if not looked at soon, he'd most likely bleed to death.

“Got anything useful out of him?” He addresses Akaza.

“Not anything we didn’t already know.” Akaza responds, pressing the metal baseball bat he’s been using into the man’s already shattered ribs. “He’s proven to be quite inept.”

“What about his sister? Where is she?”

“She’s in the other room, I was gonna deal with her after I finished with this one.” That gets a rise out of the traitor on the floor. He begins to writhe, attempting to roll over onto his back.

“P-please, don’t hu- urt my s- s-sister.”

“Did I give you permission to speak?” Sanemi snaps, reeling back to kick him across the face, scattering several of his teeth across the concrete. “Maybe if you made yourself useful we’d think about sparing your pathetic little sister.”

“Your fate is sealed, you'll die here, but maybe you can save her by giving us something useful.” Akaza issues another warning and the man on the floor begins to cry.

“Ok. I-” Another wet cough that indicates he might have blood in his lunges. Sanemi rolls his eyes and wonders if this idiot will prove himself useful before he fucking dies.

“Get on with it! You're wasting my fucking time!”

“I- I learned fr- om S-Sekido. H-he, taught me how to skim the supply and move merchandise without getting caught.”

“Wasn’t much of a teacher now was he? Or maybe you were just sloppy?” Akaza laughs obnoxiously.

“So you and your sister have been associating with our enemies, have you?” Sanemi sneers, pulling the gun out of his waist and clicking the safety off. He cocks it and taps it against his own temple. “Anything else before I end you? You might wanna think real hard about your answer.”

“That- That’s all I did, I promise. We ju- st w- wanted to make- some extra money on the s- s- ide.”

“Pathetic.” Sanemi points the pistol at him and fires twice, the body on the floor slumping, lifeless.

“Aww man. I wanted to kill him.” Akaza pouts, kicking the lifeless corpse.

“Shut it! You had plenty of time to do it. Get this shit cleaned up!” Sanemi tucks his pistol away, turning to leave the room.

“Wait. What about his sister?” Sanemi turns his head to the side, casting an annoyed look at his executioner.

“Make an example of her.” Akaza's face splits in an overjoyed smile.

“I won't disappoint you.”

“I know you won't.”
