Mizi… couldn’t save anyone. Not even herself.
She was so close. Close enough to feel the wind when Till dropped to the floor, and close enough to lay him down to rest in her arms.
Close enough to see the light die in his eyes as he took his last breath.
Uncontrollable sobs left her mouth as she was forced to mourn another one of her friends. Just a few weeks ago, she would’ve never even entertained the thought this could happen. That Alien Stage ended when only one of them were left standing. The stress was too much on her body and she couldn’t- she couldn’t do this anymore.
She isn’t… strong enough for this.
“Sua…” she pleaded. To who? Sua. But Sua’s dead.
Ivan is dead too. And so is Till.
And yet, she didn’t stop sobbing her lovers name.
Not until a bright light flooded her vision and encapsulated her entire being.
‘Sua… my god, my love.’

Till could feel himself shaking, but not from fear.
Okay, maybe from fear. But a good kind!!
Sure, Mizi and him had risked getting in trouble, but now they’re hiding. Together!! And she’s leaning on him!!
Making sure she didn’t notice, he pumped his fist up in celebration. This is the closest he’s been to his since she gave him a piggy back ride!
He yelped as she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him down to look at her. She had a playful smile on her face, and giggled as she put a finger to her mouth to signal him to be quiet.
She looked so beautiful…
Till felt a cold liquid fall on his face as he looked up at Mizi’s tearstained face. She was as beautiful as always, but he never wanted this for her. He didn’t want to die.
Reaching up his weak hand to touch her face, he saw a bright light. So bright in fact, he had to close his eyes.
‘Mizi… I’m sorry.”
With that last thought, he let the light take him.
