It's finally the weekend after a stressful week at UA, the 3rd year sports festival wrapped up with Izuku and Katsuki battling for 1st place, Izuku finally ending up on top for once, and now they're watching ‘the nightmare before christmas’ in Izuku's bedroom, cuddled up with hot cocoa under some all might blanket. Izuku doesn't mention it, but all of the vestiges are scattered around the room on the various chairs Izuku purchased for them (And for his friends, I guess.) They’re about 20 minutes into the movie before Banjo speaks up.
“Wait, so he is literally the king of halloween, and he DOESN’T want to be there anymore? What the fuck?!!?!”
“It's complicated. He does the same thing year in and year out with no change, I kinda get it.” Izuku replies, not turning to look at him.
“What?” Katsuki says.
“Oh Banjo was just asking a question, don't worry.”
“How do you not freak out everytime. Edgeshot scares the shit out of me on like, a daily basis.”
“I'd call him bone daddy too, not gonna lie.” Edgeshot says with a mouthful of popcorn.
“AHHH WHAT THE FUCK. SEE, SEE? THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.” Katsuki screams as he jumps into Izuku's hold. Thankfully they weren't holding their cocoa but once the shock wears off Katsuki has a few questions.
“Wait did you say you'd call Jack the motherfucking pumpkin king bone daddy.”
“You bet your ass I did kiddo.” Edgeshot replies.
“I would too.” Bruce and Shinomori say simultaneously much to Izuku’s amusement.
“What's going on with the nerd squad over there?” Katsuki says as Izuku giggles and whispers in his ear.
“Bruce and Shinomori are being gay again, i need them to just confess already, it's been years.”
“We're literally in your head, we can hear everything you think, say, and do.” they say as Edgeshot and the rest of the users double over in laughter.
The rest of the movie is relatively silent. Edgeshot decided to stick around, and once the movie was over Izuku turned off the TV. Katsuki rolled over to kiss his boyfriend, but Izuku pushed him away and turned to his right.
“Can yall, uh, leave for a bit please.” Izuku says as one by one the Vestiges disappear.
“Be safe boys~” Bruce says with a chuckle before disappearing.
“Oka- Mphh-” Izuku gets cut off as Katsuki kisses him roughly.
Izuku leans into the kiss as Katsuki hops on top of him, moving to kiss Izuku's neck. He releases his hold after a few minutes so he can remove Izuku's shirt, kissing down his chest, leaving bite marks in wake. He gets down to Izuku's boxer line before hearing Edgeshot speak.
“You know my b- uh, partner used to be exactly like you.” Edgeshot says from his seat at Izuku's desk.
“EW. ugh. Complete turn off.” Katsuki says as he rolls off of his boyfriend.
“Wait… you have a boyfriend? Well- had... sorry.”
Wait, Edgeshot is gay?” izuku says, now completely invested
“Okay okay let's not discuss my love life please.”
“Oh no, if you get to interrupt my alone time, i get to inquire about your weird adult love life.”
“Ugh, fine.” Edgeshot says as Izuku sits up and leans on his boyfriend's shoulder. Their discussion lasts over an hour, with Izuku finding out that his vestiges can for some reason see Edgeshot, and vice versa. They ended up having a massive discussion before Izuku passed out from exhaustion and Katsuki shut everything down to cuddle his boyfriend.
After a good night's rest, the boys get up and get ready to go to the mall. They get asked for a lot of pictures, especially from younger kids, but one was interesting. A 5 year old girl who was very shy, and after the picture when Izuku kneeled down to pat her head, they saw a flash of light before her mom came running.
“I'm so sorry! Her quirk just developed and-”
“Hey, hey, it's okay, let's go down to the hospital so we can figure this out ma'am. It's not an issue, we were ready to leave anyway.” izuku says sweetly, standing up.
Thye head to the hospital and find out it was a bodyswap quirk. The boys give the mom a list of people that can help with quirk training before heading back to the dorms. They stop by recovery girl who tells them it should take effect that night and they would need to come back tomorrow to check how long it would affect them. They head back to the dorms, eat dinner, then cuddle up and go to sleep. Katsuki notified Aizawa of the issue immediately, and he gave them the next 2 days off of training.
When the boys finally wake up, they immediately have headaches. Katsuki nearly doubles over from the pain shooting through his entire body, and Izuku nearly falls over from the sudden difference in weight and height. Katsuki was much lighter than he was and he was not used to the difference. They end up getting ready for the day, Izuku noting how comfortable not having a tie was, and Katsuki groveling on about how he hates looking this professional. They tried to kiss but it felt way too awkward for them so they just grabbed their bags and walked to recovery girls office instead.
“Hey, we should act like each other and see if anyone notices anything! That would be fucking hilarious.” Izuku suggests and Katsuki agrees. They turn it into a battle of who will slip up first, there is no real bet attached, but they do this a lot. Recovery girl sent them off to class, saying it should last only today.
“Good Morning class, do whatever the hell you want, I'm gonna sleep.” Aizawa says before crawling into his sleeping bag. Shoto and Ochako immediately run to “Izuku” and start talking.
“Izuku! How was your weekend? Any fun things happen?!” Katsuki almost bit back a response before remembering the bet and putting a big smile on his face.
“Yeah! Kaachan and I went to the mall and watched some movies! How were your weekends!?”
Katsuki drowns out their responses before they change subjects and start talking about some festival happening.
“Man, you're pretty good at acting like him Katsuki.” Banjo says, causing Kattsuki to scream and fall out of his chair.
“Izuku! Are you alright?!” Shoto asks as everyone looks at the scene of Katsuki holding his chest and rubbing his eyes while staring at the wall. Izuku runs over and helps him up before whispering in his boyfriend's ear.
“You can see my vestiges can't you.” Katsuki can only nod as everyone appears.
“Sorry we scared you little man.” Banjo says as Bruce hits him on the head. Thankfully the class decided to leave, only Katsuki and Izuku remained as Katsuki finally stood back up.
“Yall are worse than Edgeshot and that's saying something.”
“I'm hurt.” Edgeshot says, appearing to be laying on Aizawa's desk. Izuku and Katsuki scream simultaneously as they both see Edgeshot, and that's when it registers for Izuku that he can still see the previous OFA users and he screams again.
“I can- we can- Edgeshot- OFA- i- KAACHANNNNNNNN we need to go to All Might and recovery girl like, now!” Izuku panics before he drags the still shocked Katsuki out of the door.
“It seems as though despite switching bodies, not everything stayed. Seeing as the users of OFA are connected to the quirk, it's normal for them to stay in your body, however Katsuki has previously held OFA so by you swapping minds, it seems to have activated them to appear in Katsuki’s body as well. However, young Midoriya, I'm not sure why Katsuki can still see Edgeshot in your body.” All might says while pacing the nurses office.
“May I offer assistance?” Edgeshot says, startling both boys.
“May Kaachan you were right he is genuinely terrifying.” Izuku says with a grimace.
“Rude, but anyways. Since I died while piecing together Katsuki’s heart, I became a part of his bloodstream, meaning every fiber of his body I am a part of on a physical level. Seeing as I have no control over his body, however, I'm connected to everything that Katsuki is. If he dies, I'm still part of his spirit, or whatever, so wherever Katsuki's soul is, I go, wherever his body is, I go. So that explains why you can both see me, as I am showing myself to his body and mind.”
The boys stare in shock while all might looks extremely confused.
“What? I've been stuck in this kid's body for almost 2 years. I've had a lot of time to think about this.” Izuku and Katsuki shrug before reiterating this to All Might who writes down the information. He sends the boys back to class before the lunch bell rings, and the vestiges decide to leave the boys alone for now.
“I wonder if this change will stay after we swap back or not.” Izuku says.
“I hope to fucking god it doesn't, because Edgeshot is enough to handle.” Katsuki says as they walk to the lunch room. Thankfully their class all sits in one big table now. The war affected them a lot more than they admit, and having a group lunch is really nice for them. 2 days out of the week they separate into their groups, but today it’s the full group which helps the boys out a lot. Lunch goes smoothly and so does the rest of the school day, Kirishima drags Izuku out to grab ice cream before heading to the dorms, and Izuku was trying his absolute hardest to not give away their secret. Thankfully Kirishima doesn't catch on, and Izuku retreats to his room the second he's back at the dorms. Katsuki happily joins him as the Vestiges all chat with one another, excited to meet Edgeshot, before they beg the boys to turn on Edgeshot’s hero videos. Thankfully the quirk wears off sooner than expected, and after a quick nap the boys wake up back in their own bodies.
“Oh thank fuck, Banjo was actually making me lose my mind with all of the questions he was asking about my quirk. Which is weird. Because he can literally see your memories.” Katsuki says before kissing his boyfriend happily.
“That's mean.” Banjo says with a pout, causing Katsuki to jump once again. After that, all of the Vestiges appear before Izuku and Katsuki as Katsuki covers his eyes and flops onto the bed.
“FUCKKKKK. So y'all are just here forever now, huh? I'm gonna jump. Take a swan dive. Call the sludge monster up again. I hate this.” Katsuki complains as Izuku laughs.
“Well I, for one, am excited to talk to Edgeshot again, I've missed him.” Izuku responds, consoling his now crying boyfriend.
“We are never going to the mall again.” Katsuki says with a huff before Edgeshot and Banjo scare him at the same time, and Katsuki screams from anger.
“This is gonna be an interesting few months.” Izuku says, hiding a smile behind his hands as Katsuki continues to pout.
