- There are seven planes/realm of afterlife
- Valhalla —(home of warriors: those who died in battle and their soul is claimed by Valkyrie that answers to either Odin/Freya)
- Hel —(souls who are damned) Lucifer
- Heaven (after life—where death ferry them to)
- Somniaelum — (Somnia= Dreams. Aelum=Aether or Heaven. Another term for it is Children’s Field, the place where dead children wait for their parents to join them so they can go to the afterlife together. Similar to the Μέσο except it’s only for children. The children are at peace as they wait for their parents)
- Exspiravit (Ghost: those who died and refused to accept their death or those who who have unfinished business and refuses Death but can not go back to life so they become a ghost which means Rio can’t claim them)
- μετενσάρκωση (reincarnation: souls who Asier claimed) —Goddess: Asier (sister of Rio)
- Μέσο (Middle: where the dead have accepted their death but decides to stay in this plane rather than move on to Heaven where most souls usually go to when Death collects their soul) —Goddess: Rio
Rio Vidal, also known as Lady Death, had a son once with Agatha Harkness. His name was Nicholas. When he lived, he was her life and when he died, he became her death.
She finds it rather ironic since she cannot die for she is Death itself. When Nicholas died it felt as a part of her died and she supposed it did. Nicholas was a part of her. Her blood ran through his veins.

↳ can reincarnate whenever he wants after his first death
⤷his first reincarnation had been a surprise, he thought his Aunt had claimed his soul but when he had been able to see his Mamí despite not being dead anymore, he somehow knew that he inherited a bit of his Aunt’s powers
⤷the other four times he reincarnated was just because he wanted to experience the world, wanted to see how much it changed, wanted to do everything he couldn’t in his first life
⤷the sixth time he reincarnated, he reincarnated into a boy named Mikołaj Śmierć which in English literally translate into: Nicholas Death. It was the only life that he was allowed to go and search for his mother Agatha Harkness. His Mamí promised him that he was allowed to spend that lifetime with his other mom.
⤷he has his powers and abilities in each reincarnation, it’s a part of him so that means he’s able to sense when someone or something is about to die and he can either intervene if his Mamí gives him permission or give comfort to the dying until their last breathe and his Mamí comes to collect their soul
↳ the Μέσο is the Death’s Realm, his and his Mamí home (every time he dies after his reincarnation, he comes back there and his mamí greets him with open arms every time)
↳his soul can’t/is not allowed to be claim by anyone but his mamí (it is the law/rule)
↳when he was alive, he was able to travel between realms of the Living and Somniaelum (the realm dead children go to as they wait for their parents to join them before going to the afterlife)
↳inherited his mamí’s able to sense when someone is about to die unlike his mamí though he is unable to guide them to the afterlife when they die. He could only try to give them comfort as the dead waits for his mamí to guide them
↳ He is able to heal those who almost died (he has that ability even when dead). Like Señor Scratchy, the bunny was on the verge of dying but his mamí allowed him to heal it intervening with its death. When he heals someone or something, he leaves a trace of his essence or magic in them.
↳ he can change his appearance to either age of seven or the age of eighteen (he “grew” up in the Μέσο after his death like how his Mamí grew up there)
⤷He is way older than 18 but he looks not a day over 18. He has physical form in the Μέσο just like how his Mamí does as well and can manipulate how he looks like she can except his is limited in that he can either look like the age of his death or an adult version of himself if he had lived in the Living realm.
↳can be a ghost
⤷ he is able to choose whether or not he wants to be ghost (more of an astral projection kind rather than an actual ghost)
⤷he can also stop being a ghost whenever he wants because technically his mamí has already claimed his soul and he has already accepted his death already
⤷the reason why he can be a ghost is because he is the child of Death and since Rio can travel between planes, it allows him to do the same as well but as a ghost (astral projection except he doesn't have a physical form like Death anymore so it's more like a ghost than astral projection)
⤷Nick became a ghost once and let’s just say that Rio had grounded his ass. He had been bored after having reincarnated five times already and he was curious as to what it was like to be a ghost plus he was able to join his mamí in the same plane aka the Living even though only his mamí could see and talk to him. The only other time that people can see him is if they’ve died and came back to life or had life near death experience which would allow them to see, hear, and talk to ghosts. Unlike most ghosts he’s not bound to a place. He’s able to travel wherever he wants in the world. He knows that his Mamí hates ghosts because she’s unable to claim them and it makes her job harder when she tries to collect their souls and guide them to the afterlife. And also that he knows that she doesn’t want him to interact with his grandma (Evanora Harkness, Nicholas’s birth giver mom’s mother. He finds her once and confronts her which his mami was not happy about)
⤷ The second time that Nicky became a ghost was during his mom’s—Agatha—trial. It hadn’t been intentional, he just felt a pull to be a ghost. So he made do with his situation. He talked to his mom and her coven through the ouija board since it was the only way that he talked to them. His mamí was kinda pleased to see him in ghost form until Evanora (his grandmother from his mom’s side) came as a ghost. Then his mamí was pissed because his grandmother was possessing his mom and when she wasn’t, she would be saying mean things about her. And then one of his mom’s coven members, Alice, had blasted his mom to try and save her with her magic. It got Evanora out of his mom but his mom was losing control of her siphoning magic ability. Nicky knew that he had to do something to stop his mom from killing Alice and so he moved the ouija board, spelling out his name. It had been Teen who had noticed and had read his name out loud which caught his mom’s attention. It was enough for his mom to be distracted that she no longer was siphoning Alice’s magic. It was the first time he became an actual ghost (by refusing his death, he was able to be an actual ghost until he accepts his death again) which allowed him to be heard by everyone in the room and not just his Mamí. He had yelled out the last word to his mom when he first died. “ Mama! Stop!” And with that the trial had been over, a door had opened for them to leave. His mom was the first to leave and the rest of the coven followed. It left just him, his Mamí, his Grandmother, and the newly dead Alice. Her soul hasn't left her body. Nicky had returned to being his normal ghost form because he knew that had he stayed as an actual ghost, Evanora would be able to hurt him since actual ghosts are able to make contact with one another. Even though they’re all dead, they still feel pain (more like phantom kind). When his grandmother tried to talk to him, and tried to put her hands on him, his Mamí got real protective like she did when his grandmother was saying all those mean and hurtful things about his mom.
↳Nick can take an animal physical form (his favorite animal is of a wolf pup) to be on the Living plane (without being a ghost) but can’t take a human form (his mortal body is buried) –it’s against the rules to do necromancy
↳Just like how his magic connected him to his mama, his soul is connected to his mamí so that whatever body he was in, she is always able to track him down
↳Rio adores Nicky, if Agatha is her heart then Nicky is her soul if she ever had one
