Looking at the words on the screen I try to make sense of what the teacher even wants from me. If I keep looking at the text maybe I’ll finally understand how to even do this project. I really regret dropping drama for this now, oh well better suck it up now it’s too late.
Suddenly a loud ring goes off I smile finally it’s the end of the lesson I quickly put all my stuff away and log out, criminology was going to be the death of me I swear.
As I walk to the common room to meet up with my friends the air starts getting heavier. As I turn the corner a light shines almost blinding me, I close my eyes.
When the bright light finally stops I open my eyes to find an alleyway. wait what?! I’m in an alleyway what the fuck I was just in school where the hell am I, I turn my head and the smell hits me like a truck piss, drugs and blood all mixed together.
I feel like throwing up what is happening I cover my mouth and nose I need to get out this alley now! I hear cars honking and walk towards them.
When i finally see the Main Street I let my hand go. Finally I can breathe, the smell wasn’t the freshest but it was still better than that alley. I go to my bag ready to take out my phone to call my mum when an explosion blast sends me to the floor.
What the fuck, my head is ringing and is that blood oh god what is happening I pick myself up there are other people on the floor bleeding from the explosion but they don’t look confused like they’re used to it but still show fear to what is happening.
I reach for my phone which is thankfully only cracked slightly and call my mum if I’m about to die right now I want to hear her one last time. The phone is ringing and black spots are appearing, someone is talking loudly but the ringing in my ears is louder. then nothing she doesn’t pick up and I finally break.
I start crying, what is going on, I want to be in class or with my friends it feels like I can’t breathe I start heaving and the world is spinning I feel like throwing up and then a shadow is cast over me I look up to see a man with a red mask over his face he hoists me over his shoulder I can’t tell if he was walking or running but suddenly I’m dropped onto the sidewalk and doctors are looking over me what is going on.
I cling my phone to my chest while the doctors look over my head and ears and then with a pop the ringing stops and the screaming and shouting of the people take over I become aware of what’s happening around me there’s a whole crowd some injured some just staring at what’s happening behind me and suddenly the question where am I pops up.
Where am I, i open my phone and go to google maps and find nothing it says no service but my 5g was re done for the month a week ago maybe I need the Wi-Fi, I feel myself lying I just want a reason why nothing is working I want my mum to tell me she knows where I am and is coming to get me I feel tears forming in my eyes again. I try to call my mum again but no answer what is going on I know it has something to do with that flash but I don’t want it to be maybe I’m in a coma or I passed out anything that’s reasonable.
A hand touches my shoulder I flinch and turn around to see a guy in a costume standing there I hold my breath to keep me from laughing this guy is in a skin tight costume omg i then hear him ask if I’m ok I should ask if he’s ok being out like that in public but I don’t I say yes cause he’s probably worried about my injury he then runs off with a smile I turn around and start to fidget with my phone I need to hear someone anyone I call my brother and sister, my friends, my siblings friends, my cousins but no one answered.
