Chapter Text
It was just another ordinary day for our loveable darling demon Bendy.
He was walking down Main Street with a spring in his step and a glint in his eye.
Oh yes, it was one of those days, he could already tell.
A day for mischief and fun.
Almost as if on command he spied his good buddy Boris the wolf just down the street holding a sandwich that was just begging to be swiped.
Why such an appealing target was one he just couldn’t resist, so like the devil he was he began slowly creeping towards Boris.
The two engaged in a game of cat and mouse. Every time Boris became suspicious he was being followed, he’d turn his head, and Bendy, that tricky little troublemaker, would quickly hide behind the nearest object.
First it was a lamppost, then it was a mailbox, then it was conveniently shaped lamp.
Eventually, slowly but surely, Bendy got close enough to where he was just within arm’s reach of his prize.
Then just as Boris was about to take a bite of the sandwich, Bendy tapped him on the shoulder, and as Boris turned his head in confusion, Bendy darted around him and swiped the scrumptious sandwich directly from Boris’s paws.
Prize in hand, Bendy ran, away from the angry growling of Boris, and away from any prying eyes that could stop his fiendish fun.
After he’d run a fair distance away (and confirmed he wasn’t being hounded) Bendy eventually found a nearby bench on the street for him to kick back, relax, and dig into his deliciously delectable meal.
As he chowed down his ears heard the presence of a rather familiar laugh.
“Someone’s looking peppy today.”
At the sound of the voice Bendy’s smile grew larger as watched a familiar presence take up residence next to him on his bench.
Greeting him with a smile very much like his own, was the happy go lucky form of one of his closest friends Luz.
Her rounded eyes sparked with glee. Her button nose twitched, no doubt from his sweet-smelling sandwich. And her feet were tapping to an unseen tune.
He grinned at her, eyes practically sparkling before proudly puffing out his chest as if to say “yes, I am feeling peppy. I’m me after all.”
Luz, as always, was amused by his antics and seemed to play along with his good mood, bowing to his obviously superior smile before breaking out into a fit of snickers.
Then, after looking both ways to make sure no one else was present, Luz leaned in and whispered to Bendy as quietly as she could.
“Hey, you didn’t hear this from me, but I heard the Butcher Gang recently got some new stock in their shop.” Luz whispered throwing Bendy a knowing smirk that echoed his own.
Well now there’s an idea. He had finished the last of his sandwich and he was definitely hungry for desert.
Sure those butcher bores hated his guts, but that was fine, after all, all he had to do was get in, snag the goods, and get out. Simple.
As if sensing the impending end of their engagement, Luz got up from the bench stretched her arms and flicked a thumbs up his way.
“Don’t be a stranger devil boy” she said with her signature salute, before proceeding to head off to in the opposite direction.
Bendy waved goodbye before making his way to the Butcher Gangs shop.
Unbeknownst to the delightful devil, had he stuck around for just a tad bit longer, he might’ve been able to see something extraordinary.
But sticking around wasn’t his style, and he was off to the races, ready to pilfer whatever portly portions of food he could.
---
“GET BACK HERE YOU RAPSCALION!!!!!!”
Ok so maybe things hadn’t gone exactly as planned, but hey, let it never be said he didn’t try.
As he dashed away from the Butcher shop, he could sense the presence of his pursers closing in on him.
He knew that the gang still held a grudge for his rather embarrassing stint as a worker in their establishment, but he didn’t realize they were that butt hurt about it.
As he chanced a glance behind him, he could spy the telltale forms of his ex-coworkers Barley, Edgar, and Charley, all wearing the same angry glare.
If he didn’t think of something soon, they were going to make mincemeat out of him.
But then in a eureka moment, he struck upon a plan.
Diving into a nearby ally, he bunched himself and his delectable deli against a nearby trash can, and patiently waited as the gang passed him by.
Once he was sure they were gone he practically skipped out of the alley, and with a pep in his step began making his way back home.
Smiling happily at the thought of the meal he would eat.
The end…
---
‘Huh now this wasn’t here before.’
As Luz gazed at the sight of a strange looking door her mind briefly replayed the times she had passed by this shack.
She was certain that there wasn’t a door here before, but with how similar some of the places around town could be she reckoned it was probably just a place she’d passed by but forgotten.
Still, the thought of what could lie behind this curious door was certainly an appealing one. So with a mischievous grin only rivaled by that of her best buddy Bendy, Luz opened the door and stepped on through.
