Hello, I hope you're all having an amazing Diakko week

I know I've been posting Hannakko stuff BUT Diakko will forever have my heart along side with Hannakko.

Diakko is the reason why I got into the lwa fandom in the first place!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Sun and moon.

Chapter Text

Standing at the edge of it all, the sun shined down on those who embraced her light, who saw her for who she truly was.

While the moon stood in the shadows…

Watching as the sun burned bright, her smile being her only light. She watched the sun slowly become the witch she was meant to be.

The witch that made those around her smile…

The moon was proud, happy that she was growing into a powerful witch…

But who was she becoming?

What was her destiny?

She was worlds away from the sun.

The sun had dreams, aspirations, goals…

Yet, here she was.

Unsure of who she should become.

Who was she? Or rather… What was she?

All her life, she was told that she was special. That she was one of a kind. Held to high standards, a girl who will keep the traditions passed down to her.

Yet, the sun had done the opposite.

She was a normal girl, coming from a non-witching family. She had no grasp of magic, no basic understanding of the very thing she loved and admired.

She was ‘nothing’...

Yet, the sun managed to change the perspective of magic, she ignited a new era of their practices, preventing it from being extinct.

She was the reason why they were standing here, graduating underneath the streams of colorful lights.

If it wasn't for the sun if it wasn't for Akko…

Magic would've been banned, and would've been the cause for mass destruction across the world.

Akko managed to prevent all of that.

A first-generation witch managed to stop all of that, unlike Diana.

Diana only focused on tradition, while Akko thought of the future.

It was ironic…

Nevertheless, Akko Kagari managed to save the thing Diana held close to her heart.

Magic.

And she was thankful… Truly thankful for the girl that stood next to her, grasping her hand tightly as they made their way to the stand.

She looked out into the crowd, seeing everyone that Akko managed to influence.

Her classmates, her friends, her teachers…

And Diana.

She influenced so many, bringing light into their life, and nourishing their beliefs and love for magic.

If Diana had to define Akko in just two words, she would say…

‘The sun.’

And if Diana had to describe herself? She'd say…

‘The moon.’

The sun shines bright, bringing happiness and joy to those that surround her.

And the moon admires her from afar.

Her guiding light.

Diana’s shining star.
