Chapter Text

Thank God it was Friday and that Jimin was preparing for his first vacation since law school. He could not wait to get to the beach. He needed a chance to relax with his boyfriend. He left the office a few minutes early, a first for him as he tended to stay excessively late much to his boyfriend's disappointment, and hurried home. He went straight to the bedroom and slipped out of his work clothes and into Donghyun's favorite lingerie on him before grabbing his packing list to double check it before his boyfriend arrived home. When he heard the beeping of their keypad, Jimin ducked inside the closet with a giggle, ready to surprise Donghyun.

"The bedroom's just in here." Donghyun's voice traveled into the room, confusing Jimin.

"I remember." A new voice giggled. "We had lunch here just last week. I especially liked the sausage."

Jimin felt his heart sink as Donghyun and an unfamiliar omega walked into the bedroom. "Wait stop." Donghyun said, lifting Jimin's spirits a bit. "What's happening right now is wrong." The smile forming on Jimin's face stopped abruptly as his boyfriend continued. "We've already been here five minutes, and you haven't let me suck your toes even once yet."

"Speaking of sucking on things…"

There was a flurry of giggles and rustling fabric followed by smacking lips and throaty moans. "That’s amazing what you're doing with your mouth…" Donghyun sighed in pleasure. "You're so much better than Jimin…"

Jimin couldn’t take it anymore. If he didn't confront Donghyun and put a stop to things, he would explode. He burst out of the closet and grabbed a shoe from the floor, throwing it directly at Donghyun and just barely missing the alpha's head. "How dare you!"

"Oh my god, is that a Jimmy Choo?" Donghyun's mistress asked with wide eyes while Donghyun froze.

"Jimin, I didn't realize…" Donghyun's throat bobbed as Jimin glared at him. "What I mean is this isn't how it…wait, is there a reason you're in your underwear?"

"Don't change the subject, Donghyun!" Jimin hissed.

The other omega looked at Jimin in confusion. "Who are you? Why are you in Donghyun's condo? What's even happening right now?"

"Good question." Jimin said. "What's happening is I’m kicking Donghyun out. Now. Get dressed and get out."

"Wait…" The other omega turned to Donghyun. "You told me this was your place."

"God no." Jimin scoffed. "Donghyun could never afford his own condo. Just one of the infinite ways he took me for granted apparently."

Donghyun stood up. "Listen, Jimin, I love you. I can explain." The look on the alpha's face made Jimin's resolve waver. They'd been together for years. Could it really be over just like that?

Then the front door opened again and an alpha in a banana suit walked into the room. "Hey, is this where the party is happening? Because I brought my ferret and that jar of mayonnaise you mentioned in the post-"

"Get out of my sight!" Jimin snapped. "All of you!"

Everyone hurried out the door. Once Jimin heard the lock click, he collapsed onto the floor. His heart felt much heavier than it had ever felt before. He grimaced as his phone buzzed where he'd left it on the desk. Scooting across the floor to it, Jimin reached up to grab and check the notification.

Donghyun and Jimin's SURPRISE
ROMANTIC WEEKEND!!!

Jimin's eyes welled with tears. He couldn't go on the trip alone. He would be absolutely miserable. But staying home all weekend in the space they'd shared…just before he completely broke down, his phone buzzed again. That time it was an incoming call from his old college friend, Seokjin. Furrowing his eyebrows slightly, Jimin answered the call and tried to keep his voice steady. "Hey, Seokjin. Long time."

"Hey, is this Jimin's Pizzeria? Can I get a deep-dish pizza with pepperoni and uppdogg?"

Jimin sighed, not in the mood for Seokjin's jokes. "Please not right now. I've had a really shitty day and-"

Seokjin interrupted him. "But it's going to get so much better when you head to the airport to catch a plane to Vegas!" He let out a squeal that could shatter glassware.

Jimin winced. Then he realized. Seokjin. In Vegas. And as far as Jimin knew, he was the only lawyer friend Seokjin had. "Wait, did something happen? Do you need an attorney or-"

"No, no, it's all good!" Seokjin assured him. "No hangover annulments in sight. And for the record, he was the hottest alpha in the Blue Alpha Group." Jimin furrowed his eyebrows as Seokjin continued. "Anyway, forget all that. This is way more important. Jungkook's engaged and I'm throwing him a last-minute weeklong bachelorette party! He kept saying he didn’t' want one but I finally wore him down. You. Me. Jungkook. Taehyung. Shots and slots and lakes of tequila-"

Jimin cut Seokjin off. "That sounds great but I’m not sure I’m up to it. I just broke up with Donghyun. Like five minutes ago."

"Oh my god, Jimin!" Seokjin gasped. "I'm so sorry. But also good riddance, right? He was never good enough for you. And Vegas will be the perfect distraction from that! Remember how much fun we used to have in college? It was epic!"

10 years earlier, back in the college days…

"SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!"

Jungkook stared at Seokjin with wide eyes. "Easy there. It's not even 7:00 yet."

Seokjin waved his hand dismissively. "That's like 11 in dog years. Don't be a buzzkill, Kook! Finals are done, let's party!"

Jimin laughed. "Especially since we have a real reason to celebrate! Taehyung's first night out the way it was always meant to be!" Taehyung had been working on transitioning fully to an omega for a long time, and finally the hormones he was on had kicked in to the point that only people who knew him would know he'd originally presented as an alpha. Jimin walked over to the bathroom door and knocked on it. "Hey, Taehyung! Seokjin's pouring shots! You ready?"

"Yep, just a sec!" Taehyung called back. Moments later, he pushed open the door with a huge grin on his face, donning makeup and a pink dress, something that Jimin knew he'd struggled with wondering if he would ever be able to pull off.

"You look amazing!" Jimin gushed. "Can you do my makeup? Seriously, how did you get your eyeliner so perfect?"

Taehyung giggled, his cheeks flushing. "A true artist never tells his secrets, but he does apply his friends' eyeliner."

"Taehyung looks too good for us not to take a group pic!" Seokjin exclaimed. "Everyone, flash your best 'no more tests for months' smiles!" He gathered them all up and held out his phone. "Three! Two! One! Bod Squad!"

Jungkook turned with a frown just as Seokjin snapped the picture. "You must be kidding with that name. It's totally demeaning!"

Jimin could sense Jungkook gearing himself up to enter debate team mode and stepped between him and Seokjin. "Yes, we're all hotties. But if it makes Jungkook uncomfortable, we need another squad name. So, Kook? What's your suggestion?"

"What about…the Maraud Squad?" Jungkook suggested.

Taehyung shot him a look. "We're not pirates."

"Clearly that's not the one either." Jimin said. "Let's call ourselves…the Moons."

Jungkook smiled. "It does have a nice ring to it."

Taehyung nodded. "I'd totally roll with that crew."

"Then let's try this again." Seokjin held his phone out once more. "On three, two, one…Moons!" The flash went off. That time all of them were grinning widely, arms wrapped around each other. It was a perfect moment, captured forever.

Just as they were heading off into the night, Jimin realized Taehyung was lagging behind. "Hey, everything alright?" Jimin asked.

"I mean…yeah, it's just…" Taehyung bit his lip worriedly. "You don't think I'll get…negative attention, do you?"

Jimin wrapped an arm around Taehyung. "Of course not. You look stunning. There's no way anyone could think otherwise."

Jungkook nodded in agreement. "And if they do get such a ridiculous idea in their heads, they'll have to go through us."

"Damn straight." Seokjin grinned. "We've got your back. And your front. And your shots!"

"Oh man, I'm in serious trouble, aren't I?" Taehyung laughed.

Jimin smiled. "Yeah but we're right there with you."

Present day…

Jimin smiled as he remembered the night the Moons were born. Whatever Seokjin was planning, it was going to end in hangovers. And shameovers. But the thought of staying alone in his apartment that week was literally setting his teeth on edge. "You know what? I'm in. Book the ticket."

"Really?" Seokjin squealed again in excitement. "Oh my god, we are going to do so many shots!!!"

"Only if they're tequila." Jimin said with a laugh. "If we're getting the group back together, we're doing it right."

"That's the Jimin I know and love. I'm booking you on the next flight before you can change your mind. See you soon!" Seokjin ended the call.

Jimin glanced around his bedroom. His bag was already packed so the only thing left to do was get dressed.

***

Jimin walked into the hotel running on no sleep. "Oh my god, Jimin!" Seokjin squealed as he ran up to greet him. "You're here!" Seokjin plowed into Jimin, throwing his arms around the smaller omega and locking him in a tight hug.

"It's awesome to see you!" Jimin smiled. "Are the rest of the guys here or-"

"Behind you, Jimin!" Jimin looked over his shoulder to see Jungkook crossing the lobby. "Thanks so much for coming." Jimin managed to escape Seokjin long enough to give Jungkook a quick hug.

"Listen, I have the best night planned." Seokjin said. "We're gonna start with pre drinking and room service in the suite and then-"

Jungkook cut him off with wide eyes. "And then? Shouldn't we just leave it at that?"

Seokjin looked at him incredulously. "Jungkook, this is Vegas. Not an omegas' night in."

They both turned to Jimin, reminding him that he was always the middleman for them. "I'm with Seokjin." Jimin said. "You only get one bachelorette party…hopefully. Why not live it up? We're in Vegas after all, we should let loose a little."

"Right." Seokjin nodded. "By which you mean 'get ready for a night that would be illegal back home'."

Jungkook bit his lip. "Geonwoo isn't a huge fan of letting loose…maybe we could just check out a restaurant, see a show…"

"Really?" Taehyung asked as he walked up to them. "That's your plan for the weekend? Have fun being 80."

Seokjin grinned. "Oh my god, Taehyung! You made it!" He let out another permanent hearing loss squeal and enveloped Taehyung in a hug.

Jimin caught Taehyung's eyes over Seokjin's shoulder and grinned. "Now the party can really get started. I'm on 'making sure Seokjin doesn't break the law' duty already, by the way."

"Tall order." Taehyung mused.

"Which means, Taehyung, you're on 'making sure Jungkook doesn't spend the whole weekend reading Plato in the suite' duty." Jimin delegated.

Jungkook frowned. "But they just put out a new translation from the original Greek."

Taehyung put his hand up to silence Jungkook. "Please stop. You are going to have fun this weekend. With living people."

Jungkook looked around at all of them before sighing. "I love you, really, but…you know Geonwoo is running for the National Assembly, right?"

"Yeah." Taehyung blinked. "It's only in ever instagram post he makes."

"Then you understand that we can't get too wild." Jungkook said. "If I did something that hurt his chances, he'd never forgive me."

"Are you kidding?" Taehyung asked in disbelief. "He has you on lockdown during your bachelorette party?"

Jimin gently nudged Taehyung. "Stop. This trip is all about Kook. If he wants to keep things tame, that's his choice."

Seokjin nodded. "And we'll have fun no matter what. Ooh, and I almost forgot…" He rooted around in his bag and pulled out a notepad. "We are going to check off every item on your bachelorette checklist if it's the last thing we do!"

  1. Private dance with a stripper
  2. HOOK UP!!
  3. crazy costume party
  4. spa time
  5. Karaoke Party!!!!!!!
  6. cruise in a sweet ride
  7. BOND WITH MY BOYS!!!

"But we'll start off slow right?" Jungkook asked anxiously. "At least for tonight?"

"Totally." Seokjin nodded again. "Speaking of tonight, the room won't be ready for a couple hours. But it's worth the wait, I promise. It's like…the level past next level."

"No worries." Taehyung said. "I have to run a quick errand anyway."

Jimin raised an eyebrow. "In Vegas?"

"It's just a quick work thing." Taehyung said vaguely. "Won't take long." He turned on his heel and disappeared into the crowd.

Seokjin turned to Jimin and Jungkook. "Actually, I have a few more things I wanted to grab for the party."

"Are you going to a pharmacy?" Jungkook asked. "I forgot to pack my multivitamins."

"Obviously." Seokjin said. "They won't let you take the industrial sized hangover remedies in a carryon."

Jungkook stared at him. "We won't really need that, will we?"

Seokjin didn't answer him. "Jimin, you tagging along?"

Jimin shook his head. "I think I'm going to stay here actually. The flight wore me out."

"Okay, I'll text when the suite is ready." Seokjin said. "Get excited, this week is going to be everything!"
