The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the sprawling campus of Seoul National University. In the heart of the campus, two figures stood out, bound by an unspoken connection that transcended the ordinary. Jungkook, the campus heartthrob, with his chiseled jawline, striking dark eyes, and athletic build, was the epitome of every girl's dream. He was popular, not just for his looks, but also for his leadership on the football field. Always in the spotlight, he exuded confidence and charm, a natural-born leader.
Beside him was Taehyung, his best friend since high school. Taehyung was a picture of contrast—delicate, almost ethereal, with soft blonde hair that framed his angelic face, deep brown eyes that held secrets, and a petite frame that seemed almost out of place in the bustling university. Despite being older, Taehyung always appeared as if he needed protection, and Jungkook was more than willing to be that protector.
Taehyung had always been in love with Jungkook. It was a love he nurtured in silence, a flame he kept hidden deep within his heart. He knew Jungkook was straight, knew about his casual relationship with Mina, the pretty cheerleader who seemed to have her claws sunk deep into him. Yet, Taehyung couldn’t help the way his heart fluttered whenever Jungkook smiled at him, or the way his world seemed to brighten when Jungkook would call him "baby" in that affectionate, teasing way.
Jungkook, for his part, was blissfully unaware of the depth of Taehyung's feelings. To him, Taehyung was his safe space, his comfort zone. Despite his rough exterior, Jungkook was soft and gentle with Taehyung, treating him with a care that bordered on possessiveness. He loved Mina, or at least, he told himself he did. But there was something about Taehyung, something that made him drop everything just to see him smile, something that made him more important than anyone else in his life, including Mina.
Mina, with her sharp features and envious beauty, couldn’t stand how much importance Jungkook gave to Taehyung. She was used to being the center of attention, the one everyone wanted. Yet, with Jungkook, it always felt like she was second to Taehyung, and it burned her up inside. She knew she had Jungkook in her grasp, but it wasn’t enough. She wanted all of him, and that meant getting rid of the competition—Taehyung.

The day of the big match arrived, the tension in the air palpable as SNU prepared to take on their long-time rivals, Yonsei University. The stadium buzzed with excitement, students from both universities filling the stands, waving banners and chanting slogans. Jungkook, dressed in his team’s colors, looked every bit the leader he was, his sharp eyes scanning the field as he strategized the game plan.
On the sidelines, the cheerleaders were preparing for their routine. Among them was Mina, her eyes fixed on Jungkook, who was too focused on the match to notice her longing gazes. But what she did notice, and what irked her to no end, was the way Jungkook’s eyes would drift to where Taehyung was standing.
Taehyung was in the cheerleading squad, not by choice but because Jungkook had insisted he join. The new cheerleading uniforms had just arrived—a bold design featuring a skirt that was scandalously short, especially on Taehyung’s petite frame. The fabric clung to his curves, emphasizing his long, toned legs and the subtle swell of his hips. Taehyung felt exposed, self-conscious under the eyes of the crowd, but there was no denying how stunning he looked.
As the game commenced, Jungkook played with his usual intensity, but his mind kept drifting to Taehyung. He couldn’t help but notice the way Taehyung’s skirt swayed with every movement, the way his blonde hair glowed under the stadium lights, and how he looked more beautiful than any of the girls in the squad. Jungkook felt a surge of protectiveness, a familiar pang of jealousy he couldn’t quite explain.
Meanwhile, Seojoon, the captain of Yonsei’s football team, had also taken notice of Taehyung. During the halftime break, as the teams rested, Seojoon couldn’t resist approaching the delicate beauty that had caught his eye. He sauntered over to Taehyung, his smile predatory as he leaned in closer than necessary.
“You’re really something, aren’t you? Even prettier than all the girls combined,” Seojoon purred, his eyes raking over Taehyung’s body.
Taehyung flushed under the attention, feeling uncomfortable but too polite to push Seojoon away. He smiled awkwardly, trying to step back, but Seojoon’s presence was overwhelming.
Jungkook, who had been about to make his way to Taehyung to get his much-needed hug before the game resumed, saw Seojoon’s advances. His blood boiled at the sight of Seojoon getting too close, his fists clenching in anger. Mina, sensing his intent, quickly intercepted him, wrapping her arms around his waist and pulling him close.
“Jungkook, why don’t we take a walk together?” she suggested, her voice sweet but her grip tight, desperate to keep his attention on her.
Jungkook barely glanced at her, his eyes still locked on Taehyung and Seojoon. He wanted nothing more than to march over there and punch Seojoon in the face for daring to touch what was his. But he knew that if he did, he’d be out of the game, and he couldn’t afford that. Not when so much was riding on this match.
Reluctantly, he allowed Mina to pull him away, but his mood was dark, his mind occupied with thoughts of Taehyung and the bastard who dared to flirt with him.

As the second half of the match began, Jungkook played with a ferocity that stunned even his own teammates. Every move was precise, every shot powerful, fueled by the jealousy and anger that simmered beneath the surface. He was unstoppable, leading SNU to a crushing victory over Yonsei.
The final whistle blew, and the stadium erupted in cheers. Jungkook’s teammates swarmed around him, celebrating their win, but his mind was elsewhere. He scanned the sidelines, searching for Taehyung, needing to see him, to reassure himself that he was okay.
Taehyung, however, had witnessed the scene between Jungkook and Mina during the break, and it had crushed him. He knew Jungkook didn’t love Mina, but seeing them together, seeing how easily Mina could claim Jungkook’s attention, it was too much. He had wanted to run to Jungkook after the match, to congratulate him, to hug him and feel safe in his arms, but Mina had beaten him to it, again.
Heartbroken, Taehyung turned and fled, running towards the locker rooms, away from the crowd, away from the sight of Jungkook and Mina together.
Seojoon, who had been lingering nearby, saw his opportunity. He followed Taehyung into the dimly lit locker room, where the noise of the outside world was muffled.
“Why the rush, beautiful?” Seojoon’s voice was smooth, too smooth, as he cornered Taehyung against the cold metal lockers.
Taehyung’s heart pounded in his chest, fear and anxiety mingling as Seojoon’s body pressed too close to his. “Please, Seojoon, I need to go,” Taehyung stammered, trying to sidestep, but Seojoon blocked his path.
“You don’t need to go anywhere,” Seojoon murmured, his hands sliding up Taehyung’s arms, caging him in. “Why don’t we get to know each other better?”
Before Taehyung could respond, the locker room door slammed open with a loud bang, and there stood Jungkook, his eyes blazing with fury.
Jungkook didn’t hesitate. He stormed over to Seojoon, his fist connecting with Seojoon’s jaw before the latter could even react. Seojoon stumbled back, surprised by the sudden attack, but Jungkook was relentless. He grabbed Seojoon by the collar, lifting him off the ground and slamming him against the lockers.
“You think you can touch him?” Jungkook snarled, his voice low and menacing. “He’s mine.”
Seojoon struggled, trying to push Jungkook off, but Jungkook was too strong, too enraged. He punched Seojoon again and again, until blood stained his knuckles, until Seojoon was a bruised mess on the floor.
Taehyung stood frozen, shocked by the violence but also overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of Jungkook’s possessiveness. He had never seen Jungkook like this, so wild, so protective. It sent a thrill through him, even as he trembled with fear and adrenaline.
Jungkook finally let Seojoon drop to the ground, his chest heaving with exertion. He turned to Taehyung, his expression softening instantly as he saw the tears in Taehyung’s eyes.
“Taehyung,” Jungkook whispered, stepping closer and pulling Taehyung into his arms. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”
Taehyung shook his head, burying his face in Jungkook’s chest, the familiar scent of him soothing his frazzled nerves. “I’m okay now,” he mumbled, his voice muffled against Jungkook’s shirt.
Without another word, Jungkook scooped Taehyung up into his arms, cradling him as if he were the most precious thing in the world. Ignoring Seojoon’s groans on the floor, he carried Taehyung out of the locker room, determined to take him somewhere safe, somewhere they could be alone.

Back at their dorm, Jungkook gently laid Taehyung on his bed, his hands trembling slightly as he brushed Taehyung’s hair out of his face. Taehyung looked up at him, his eyes wide and filled with emotion, his heart pounding in his chest.
“Why… why did you do that?” Taehyung asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
Jungkook sat beside him, his gaze intense as he took Taehyung’s hand in his own. “Because you’re mine, Taehyung. No one else gets to touch you, no one else gets to have you. I don’t know what this is,” he confessed, his voice raw with emotion, “but I can’t stand the thought of losing you. I… I think I’ve always felt this way, but I was too stupid to realize it.”
Taehyung’s breath hitched, his heart soaring at Jungkook’s words. “I’ve always been yours, Jungkook,” he whispered, tears welling up in his eyes. “I’ve loved you for so long, but I never thought…”
Jungkook silenced him with a gentle kiss, his lips soft and warm against Taehyung’s. It was a kiss that spoke of all the unspoken feelings between them, a kiss that promised love, protection, and everything Taehyung had ever dreamed of.
The kiss deepened, their bodies pressing together as years of pent-up emotion finally broke free. Jungkook’s hands roamed Taehyung’s delicate frame, exploring every curve, every inch of soft skin that had haunted his dreams. Taehyung moaned softly, his fingers tangling in Jungkook’s hair as he arched into his touch, feeling safe and cherished in a way he never had before.
That night, they made love with a passion that had been brewing beneath the surface for years. Jungkook was gentle yet possessive, worshipping Taehyung like the dainty princess he was. And Taehyung, for the first time, felt truly complete, knowing that he was loved, knowing that he belonged to Jungkook, and only Jungkook.
As they lay together in the aftermath, their bodies entwined, Jungkook held Taehyung close, his heart full. He knew now, without a doubt, that Taehyung was the one he wanted, the one he needed. And he would do anything to protect him, to keep him safe and happy, because Taehyung was his everything.
“I love you, Taehyung,” Jungkook murmured into the silence, his voice soft but full of conviction.
Taehyung smiled, his heart overflowing with happiness as he snuggled closer to Jungkook. “I love you too, Jungkook. Always.”
And with that, they fell asleep, wrapped in each other’s arms, knowing that whatever the future held, they would face it together, because they were meant to be.
