Uncle (Jeong Changin):
It had taken Changin by surprise when Taeui told him the caller was Ilay instead of Reigrow. Nobody has called Ilay Reigrow by his first name. Even his own brother calls him by Reigrow. As if that was not enough, his nephew casually says, “He had beautiful, delicate hands. That was the only thing is saw during the video call. And Ilay said that no one has ever told him that.” Ending with a slightly confused face. Jeong Changin doesn’t know what to make of this. So he replies, “yes that is a bit surprising.” He himself is surprised. Lets see what this brings out.
Jeong Changin is not the only one surprised when Taeui continues to call Reigrow by his first name. But also the apparent lengths Taeui can get away with. Though he doubts that all those come without a price. Yet still he is surprised and also very grateful that Taeui is alive. It’s his nephew/biological child. Jeong Changin loves his family regardless. He just hopes that Taeui can survive and doesn’t prod a sleeping dragon too much.
After the stunt that Taeui pulled with Reigrow, Jeong Changin just hopes that Taeui knows how to hide or better yet run undetected by Reigrow. It kind of feels like they are doing a weird kind of dance, a very deadly and murderous one.
Xinlu:
Xinlu doesn’t know how Taeui can even tolerate that Reigrow guy. Reigrow is a monster, a killer with no feelings. YET Taeui still goes running to Reigrow as if he’s his servant or worse a lover which would be a stupid thought.
Taeui and he, Xinlu, have been trying to get closer and it’s a bit hard with everyone getting in between their free time. It’s frustrating but when he has Taeui’s attention it’s so sweet. Taeui is such a cute guy. It’s amusing and also feeds his ego. The way Taeui is soft, gentle and blushing like a sweetheart lover when they are together is so satisfying. Xinlu just wants to take Taeui away from eveyone and keep him dependent on himself.
And he has a plan for that. A slow one in making Taeui fall in love with him. All was going fine. BUT then this Reigrow had to come and now all of their moments are always interrupted by Reigrow or he’s the topic of conversation. He sometimes wants to shout at Taeui for being so oblivious. Reigrow is clearly only using him for his own benefit and a fucked up sense of humor. The tipping point is when Reigrow kisses Taeui RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and Taeui that idiot doesn’t push him away as he did to him like that day at the hotel. How can anyone even bear to be near that monster is a complexity to him. Now he has to come up with a new plan to take him away from this monster and rescue Taeui. To top it all off, that monster had to go and talk about Taeui’s gilsachong status. Of course, he would want to try and see if he can also be benefited from that. Just imagining all the luck and a cute guy Taeui by his side is making him feel hot all over.
Just you wait Ilay Reigrow! I’ll have Taeui before you can get him!
Taeui:
Sometimes Taeui thinks that he likes to invite danger on himself even though everyone around seems to be wary of it.
Here, now, in UNHRDO danger has taken a physical form. Anyone who goes near to it either dies or is critically injured. Yet despite knowing all this. He continues to attract that man’s attention. Something has to be wrong with him as to why he finds himself again and again at his mercy. The amount of interaction he has with Ilay is almost double the time spent with Xinlu. And that must say something mad about him. It’s not like he doesn’t want to spend time with Xinlu it’s just that somehow Xinlu and his free times don’t match much and when they do, nowadays, it’s like someone interrupts. And he would really really like to spend some time with Xinlu.
Xinlu’s like a breath of fresh air when he’s around, looking all soft and sweet. Ah just thinking about him is giving him butterflies!!
“Just what kind of thing make you look like this?” comes from the one person Taeui would rather not see, especially after the round of people he sent to infirmary!! Ilay Reigrow waits for him to answer. Like hell Taeui will tell him what he’s been thinking about!
Heedless of the strained silence and Taeui’s annoyed expression Ilay continues, “or is it a person you’re thinking about? Hm?”
“Huh? What?” Comes a slightly shocked reply “why are you so interested in what I’m thinking!?” Taeui just wants to be left alone and maybe also continue dreaming about Xinlu. Ilay just stares as if he wants to kill him or, a recent development, fuck him again. Shuddering at his thoughts he makes some excuses and runs away. Strategic retreat.
Kyle:
Once upon a time a very long time ago, Kyle had seen his younger brother bewildered and surprised. All of this from a phone call conversation between Reigrow, his little brother, and another kid on the other side of world. It was an entertaining thing to watch.
That was also the last time he has seen that much emotion on his baby brother. But Kyle shudders to think what Reigrow will do when he finds out about what his older brother is thinking. Ah nostalgia. Kyle has also almost forgotten this incident. It’s been ages and many things have changed.
He has also heard about the things happenings in the Asian branch. How a certain someone is still alive despite crossing all the line which had others at death’s door. He feels pity towards whoever that person is but is also interested to meet this person. Just what sort of person would it be that provokes his brother in such a way.
A very insistent annoying brother that wants to find someone who ran way(?) from him. Is it even considering running away? Kyle has heard the incident from Jeong Changin. He hasn’t mentioned anything much to Reigrow. He has survival instincts. Still it is a bit annoying yet hilarious that Reigrow wants to find out this person who has apparently disappeared from the face of earth. God bless that that person is not one of his friends. [Kyle doesn’t know but Taeui is currently living with him, who Ilay is looking for. He’s grave is dug. Hopefully Ilay is too focused on chasing Taeui. God help them.]
Later Kyle will be sweating from having been helping the man, Taeui not Kim, hide away from Reigrow. Just seeing them interact makes his heart skip beat. Kyle just gapes silently at the scene! Here! Is Jeong Taeui who has crossed so many lines and is still standing breathing. Only getting expressions from his brother. Expression! Kyle thinks hysterically IS THAT A SMILE ON REIGROW’S FACE! Then Taeui speaks some more “Ilay are you really going to be at this much lengths!? Why would you even do this! Also sending goons after me REALYY”
Kyle continues thinking HE SAID YOUR FIRST NAME ARE YOU GOING OT KILL- OH WHAT IS THAT DID YOUR EYES TURN SOFTT!! WHOIS THIS MAN! WAIT! JEONG TAEUI!?
“Huh? Yea that’s my name.” apparently, he spoke out loud continuing his thought Kyle speaks, “Your Jeong Changin’s nephew/son!?” Squinting his eyes Kyle thinks there’s a memory trying to rise but can’t seem to gain momentum in the storm that’s his thoughts. Later then.
“Were you talking about your uncle back then? Is that where you got some of your books from?” Kyle asks the main question. Other questions are a guaranteed way to quick grave. So this main question it is. Taeui sheepishly replies,“Oh yea that’s who I was talking about.”
The smiles he gets for that answer is the same one that Kim gives. Ah Reigrow looks as if he’s planning murder now. Shit.
Turning back to Ilay, Taeui asks, “So are you really scared of the Head maid? I met her she is scary. So I suppose there is someone that the Great Ilay Reigrow is scared of huh.”
With Taeui’s back turned to Kyle he cannot see what kind of expression Taeui is making but just now that one sentence was more than enough for a good visit to hospital normally. NORMALLY. It only gains a cheeky reply from Reigrow. “You have met her. You know how she is.”
Then as if forgetting that he is still present.
“Ilay are you really scared of her?”
“Taeui are you going to run away now?”
“Answer my question first Ilay”
“Hmm she’s just annoying”
Kyle would like it to be noted down that he is still very much present and the now obvious heated bedroom eyes and tension that is rising is not something that he ever wants to witness. Also, their Maid is terrifying. He one hundred percent respects her.
“Now..”
“Ilay are you going to keep on doing things like this?”
“…”
“What? Why are you looking at me like this Ilay?”
“…”
“Hey, stop where are you taking me! Ilay I swear to God!”
“Be quite for once.”
“… ILAY!”
Kyle predictably wants to run away from his home because it looks like he’ll be marinated and boiled and all other sorts of thing if Reigrow and Taeui have been interrupted. Ilay had shot a look at Kyle during the exchange, so he did remember that someone else was also in the room.
Okay. Deep Breathes. One. Two. Th- BY THE COUNTS TAEUI SHOULD BE DEADER THAN THE DEAD YET HE STILL LIVES AND IS APPARENTLY IN A RELAATIONSHIP WITH HIS LITTLE BROTHER!! TAEUI LIVES EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING!
Kyle feels a bit faint from all the things that have happened. “Master was that young master’s voice and name I heard?” the head Maid asks. Dazedly replying, “Yes Ilay Reigrow is here and do not disturb him. He is busy with his person.” She looks like she wants to say many things instead “Master you look pale let’s get you situated in your room. You should not be taking so much stress.”

Taeui
It’s only after the whole Xinlu things that happened does he comes to a very scary realization. It’s not even that event. Xinlu did something that was wrong even after they had Clearly been on different wavelengths and have not had any contact with each other. Here, he knows that it’s double faced of him to think about Xinlu like this when Ilay has done worse things not barring the forest incident.
And you might be thinking what revelation was so much scary. Well… Taeui has come to the devastating realization that he had (un)fortunately fallen in love with Ilay. Its seems that all that forced proximity in the beginning and letting Ilay get away with things just for his survival leads to this.
Hah!
Just thinking about it too much is giving him headache. Jaeui where are you!! I need your luck!!
Acceptance is the only way to escape the headache. Suddenly, squirming in his seat with the multitudes of emotions form just thinking about Ilay makes me restless.
“Stupid, narcissistic, inhuman strength, inhuman stamina and bloodthirsty man! Aaahhh@@%@^@*!(!(!” Taeui rants alone, inside new current place of residence.
Ilay
He remembers a dream or a memory. He remembers talking to a boy younger than him; that boy was naïve and trusting. They talked for a few minutes at best. The only thing he learned was the boy’s name, Taeui, and how to correctly pronounce it. His interest and curiosity in what kind of a person this Taeui would be started then. Maybe Taeui will not be boring like the rest.
All those expectations are crushed when Taeui shows just how similar to others he is. Maybe he wont find anyone interesting Ilay thinks. Then he hears Jeong Changin speaking (scolding) Taeui. “How idiotic of you to point an unloaded gun? What if you got hurt!? Do you know how reckless that was!!”
Just like that curiosity is back full force.
So, he pushes Taeui, pushes at all the limits and lines. He attacks others, he makes a back deal with Xinlu, who Taeui wants and coerces Taeui into sleeping with him.
All those things produce different reactions from Taeui. Taeui is angry at him, frustrated with him, exasperated with him, doesn’t hesitate to debate/discuss with him and concerned about him. All absurd emotions someone has shown towards him. Sometimes he thinks that Taeui doesn’t have any bit of survival instincts because the amount of times that utter brainless fool has acted against common instinct with him are astronomical. And he has asked Jeong Changin about it many times.
Taeui is also addicting, knowing that his antics are tolerated and only concern and worry are shown. His curiosity quickly transforms into an obsession. He wants to possess him, own him and be one with him.
When Taeui is around him he feels ‘seen’. His skills, intelligence and all are accepted as something that’s just him instead of something that needs to be fixed.
