can you kiss me more?

Summary:

JJ is worried about being intimate with Justin, and Justin reassures him.

Notes:

Title from the song: Kiss me more-Doja Cat

I’ve been thinking about these two and how this would be such a cute pairing so I had to be the first to write them! This also ended shorter than I wanted but it’s whatever :/

Work Text:

JJ paced nervously around his town house , the soft hum of the city outside the only sound breaking the silence. His mind was racing, heart thudding in his chest as he thought about his relationship with Justin. It was everything he had ever wanted, and more. But there was a part of it that he couldn’t quite figure out, something that had been gnawing at him ever since they started dating a few months earlier.

This was JJ’s first time being in a relationship with a man. While the emotional connection with Justin was strong and natural, the physical side of things had him feeling a little lost. With his previous relationships, things had just seemed to fall into place, but this was different. He wasn’t sure what to expect or how to navigate the more intimate aspects of their relationship, and it left him feeling anxious.

JJ wanted to be close to Justin, to share everything with him, but he was afraid of messing things up. Every time they kissed or touched, the nervousness bubbled up inside him, and he didn’t know how to tell Justin that it wasn’t because he didn’t want it- he just didn’t know how to handle it.

As if on cue, there was a knock at the door, followed by the familiar sound of Justin’s voice. “JJ, you home?”

JJ took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside him, and walked over to open the door. Justin stood there with a smile, looking as handsome as ever, his presence immediately easing some of JJ’s tension.

“Hey, babe,” Justin greeted him, stepping inside and wrapping JJ in a warm hug. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too,” JJ replied, leaning into the embrace, feeling a little bit of his worry melt away.

They settled on the couch, and Justin started talking about his day, but JJ could barely focus. His thoughts kept drifting back to the one thing he hadn’t been able to figure out how to bring up. The idea of being physically intimate with Justin was exciting, but it also terrified him. He didn’t want to disappoint Justin or seem inexperienced.

After a while, Justin noticed JJ’s quietness. “You okay? You seem a little bit off tonight.”

JJ hesitated, his mind spinning with what to say. He knew he couldn’t keep this to himself any longer, but he wasn’t sure how to express what he was feeling. Finally, he took a deep breath and decided to just be honest.

“Justin, there’s something I’ve been thinking about, and it’s been kind of… stressing me out,” JJ admitted, his voice low.

Justin’s brow furrowed with concern. “What is it? You know you can tell me anything.”

JJ nodded, but the words still felt heavy on his tongue. “It’s just that… this is my first time being in a relationship with a guy, and I don’t really know what I’m doing. Especially when it comes to… you know, the physical part.”

Justin’s expression softened, and he reached out to gently take JJ’s hand. “JJ, it’s okay. I get it. It’s new for you, and that’s totally fine. We don’t have to rush anything.”

JJ looked down at their intertwined hands, feeling a little more at ease. “I know, but I don’t want you to think that I don’t want to be close to you. I do, I just… I’m nervous. I’ve never been in this situation before, and I don’t know how to tell you what I’m feeling without sounding stupid.”

“You could never sound stupid,” Justin said firmly. “I’m glad you told me. And listen, we’ll figure this out together. There’s no pressure, no expectations. We go at your pace, alright?”

JJ felt a wave of relief wash over him. He had been so worried about disappointing Justin that he hadn’t considered that Justin might be just as understanding as he was caring. “Thanks, Justin. That really means a lot to me.”

Justin leaned in closer, his thumb gently brushing over JJ’s knuckles. “I love you, JJ. And I’m here for you, no matter what. We’ll take it slow, and whenever you’re ready, we’ll move forward. But until then, we can just enjoy being together.”

JJ’s heart swelled with emotion, and he couldn’t help but smile. “I love you too, Justin. I’m ready… I’m just nervous. But I think I’m ready to try.”

Justin’s eyes softened with affection, and he leaned in even closer, his lips hovering just inches from JJ’s. “Then let’s take that first step together,” he whispered.

JJ nodded, his breath hitching as Justin closed the distance between them, their lips meeting in a tender kiss. JJ could feel the warmth of Justin’s body against his, the softness of his lips, and the gentle way he was holding him, as if to remind JJ that he was safe.

The kiss deepened, and JJ found himself relaxing into it, letting go of the anxieties that had been holding him back. Justin’s hands slid up to cup his face, and JJ melted into the touch, feeling the last of his fears dissolve.

When they finally pulled back, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting together as they took in the moment.

“You’re amazing, JJ,” Justin murmured. “And we’re going to be just fine.”

JJ smiled, feeling more confident than he had in weeks. “I think so too. As long as I have you.”

“You’ll always have me,” Justin replied, sealing his promise with another kiss, this one filled with all the love and reassurance JJ needed.

And as they continued to explore this new chapter of their relationship together, JJ knew that with Justin by his side, he could face anything that came their way.
