Izuku Midoryia was always a kind energetic child. Ever since he was young he was obsessed with heroes specifically All Might which he was obsessed with having almost every single merch of him he could get his hands on provided by his mom. He was the #1 hero he is even considered the symbol of peace.
But back to Izuku he was utterly devastated when it was revealed to him and his mom Inko Midoryia that Izuku was quirkless, despite having two parents that had quirks he was still quirk less.
That broke Izuku. He had always dreamed of being a hero one that could help everyone and bring smiles onto their faces.
And for his mom she was a single parent, her ex-husband and Izuku's father was never there. He had left them a year after Izuku was born.
Izuku didn't know much of his father other than his name and quirk.
But he didn't really want to know anymore in fact he didn't care for him at all. The only thing that Izuku cared about right now was him being quirkless.
But even being quirkless he still tried his best to get over it. He would always be fascinated by quirks asking everyone he meets about them what's their quirk and how it works.
He would even write it in his notebook which contained quirk analysis of pro heroes or just people he knew.
Izuku was bullied by his childhood friend Bakugo Katsuki who he had always admired since they were kids but he still bullied him, especially in middle school just for being quirkless and weak, and Bakugo hated Izuku's notebook he knew Izuku cared for it like it's his child, and he wanted to make Izuku suffer for no particular reason he just thought Izuku was annoying and weak.
Bakugo Katsuki thinks everyone is below him and he could do whatever he wanted, so that's why he hated Deku. he would always act like their friends which Bakugo didn't like and it annoyed him.
One time even Bakugo told izuku to take a swan dive off of the roof. Which Izuku had considered doing.
Izuku was tired of his school life even having some suicidal thoughts
sometimes but he wouldn't even try because he knew his mom and how she would take it and he didn't want to put her thru that so he never did, but his life would take a change for the worst.

Kai Chisaki is a villain but he doesn't like to be considered a villain. He is the leader of the Shie Hassaikai Yakuza after his former boss got into critical health.
Kai Chisaki was known as Overhaul which he preferred over people saying his name.
Kai Chisaki hated anything dirty. He especially hated physical touch. He thought anything that touched him was dirty. He had this imagination that the world was corrupted by quirks and how everyone was unpure who had it.
That's why when he found out about Izuku Midoryia he was clearly interested.
He had read an article online that a quirkless kid tried saving someone who was being attacked by a villain.
When he first read it he laughed. How could anyone think they could save people without a quirk. But the more he thought about it the more he was interested.
Quirkless people were not common in fact even they were even considered rare to some people so he was obviously interested, Thinking that he can save Izuku from being corrupted
He had some people in the Shie Hassaikai Yakuza spy on Izuku, so he could learn more about him.
He had found out from his workers that Izuku was bullied specifically by the kid he tried to save from the villain which made overhaul laugh and kinda felt pity for him.
He thought he could be the one to save Izuku out of his life. So that's what he was gonna do.
He made his workers kidnap Izuku so he could have him all to himself, and fix him from the corrupted world.
