Work Text:
Loki and Sylvie were sitting on a small slope in front of a crystal clear lake that reflected the majestic mountains and blue sky. Bright green low grass was mixed with purple, white, and yellow flowers. Mountain goats with huge, curved, crescent-shaped horns grazed peacefully by the shore. Shoals of fish swam in the water, and the mountain herons gazed at them. They stood motionless for a long time, carefully watching the fish. Dragonflies were flying over the surface of the water.
The God and Goddess of Mischief wrapped themselves in a green blanket and admired the peaceful picture of primordial nature. The small wooden house stood behind them in which they had recently settled for a short while. Now they were traveling through the Multiverse, gradually exploring it.
Loki tried to show Sylvie the most beautiful and picturesque parts of the worlds. Since he was finally freed from his burden thanks to the joint work of Sylvie and TVA, he retained a lot of knowledge about different universes. And after he and Sylvie made peace, Loki decided to show her the beauty of the Multiverse, which she had so fiercely tried to free from the dictator and which Loki had carefully held in his hands for a long time.
It took a long time before they could trust each other again. But Loki had no doubt that their love would help them eventually find a common language.
“What are you thinking about?“ Sylvie asked, looking at her lover.
A light wind gently blew across the face of the God of Mischief, playing with his black hair and bringing a pleasant coolness to this hot day.
“Wouldn't it be nice if there was one more Loki in this universe?“
Sylvie was surprised and said the first thing that came to her mind.
“Don't you think that three Lokis in one universe is too much?“ She chuckled nervously.
“Too wonderful?“ Loki winked mischievously.
“Too much chaos and destruction.“
“It's not true,“ Loki theatrically placed his hand on his heart, “we haven't destroyed anything for a long time!“
“We broke the bed last week.”
“That doesn't count, “Loki answered proudly, remembering the incident, “we haven't damaged any city or planet. And that's because all my energy is directed exclusively at you.”
Sylvie blushed a little and smiled. Memories of the previous night enveloped her thoughts and body with a pleasant warmth. In the evening they walked around the city, ate huge delicious shrimps in an expensive restaurant and laughed a lot, and at night they made Mischief in their house by the lake.
“And I'm absolutely loving it,” she brushed a black strand of hair from his face, “I want it to stay like this forever.”
“I enjoy every second spent with you, Sylvie. I finally feel happy. For the first time in an incredibly long time. But sometimes I think that maybe someday the three of us could share our happiness.”
She could imagine it. Black curls, big blue eyes in a small face. She could hear the happy laughter of a child as Loki showed him or her some kind of illusion. A small miracle that she kissed goodnight while Loki told them stories. Sylvie loves children very much, but before, in her endless running, she had never even dared to think about such things.
“Maybe someday.”
“In another universe? We have a long list ahead of us, which I was making while waiting for you at the edge of the Multiverse.“ Under the green blanket, Loki's hands began to wander over her body. He gently stroked her body exactly where she loved the most. Small green sparks from his fingers seeped into her body, bringing pleasant sensations. The magic in their relationship seemed to live its own life. They quickly developed a telepathic connection, learning new tricks from each other and using it to have fun when they were doing Mischief.
“In another universe,” Sylvie answered quietly.
“In a bigger house?”
“In a bigger house. Where there are no volcanoes, tornadoes or earthquakes. And where even the TVA won't know about us.”
Loki nodded and kissed the top of her head.
“And with a couple of goats in the pen.”
“What?”
“What? Look at our horned friends, they are beautiful.”
“Are you going to butt heads with them every morning with your giant horns? I bet on the goats.”
“What?” Loki laughed. “I would never lose to goats in any universe!”
“Well. This will be a new branch of Yggdrasil. The Great God of Mischief lost the battle with his favorite animals. No universe has ever seen such shame and humiliation.”
“A couple more words and I really want to prove the opposite by challenging them to a fight,” Loki said, pointing to the peacefully grazing animals nearby, “actually, Thor once fought goats.”
“Why?”
“I once convinced them to eat his red cloak. He fought them off for a long time until he realized who was to blame.” Loki laughed at the warm memories of his brother.
“And what punishment did you get for that?”
“He caught me and threw me into the pen with the pigs.” Loki grimaced, and Sylvie, on the contrary, laughed.
“You deserved it.”
At that time, Loki was consumed by feelings of envy towards his brother and loneliness. After each of his antics, he tried again and again to think of ways to hurt Thor. No punishment helped Loki repent and change for the better.
Now that life seemed so far away. Now everything was different.
Sylvie was still laughing. Loki smiled and kissed Sylvie on the cheek. Then on her cute little nose. Then on the lips.
“I said in another universe, not now.”
Loki grinned. “As you wish,” he said, kissing her neck.
“Asshole,” Sylvie smiled and decided to take the initiative. She pushed him to the ground and hung on top of him.
“That's why you love me.”
Sylvie used the most effective method to wipe that stupid, smug smile off his face and smashed her lips into his. Loki placed his hands on her waist and a green glow appeared on his fingertips, and their eyes turned a bright green. Their seidrs began to intertwine, linking their bodies and souls as if they were one.
Not a single heron standing in the water stirred, and the mountain goats continued to graze peacefully. They had already gotten used to their noisy neighbors and the strange light show they constantly put on on the shore of the lake.
