Chapter Text

In the solitude of his tastefully decorated room , he grappled with the weight of his emotions, each passing day stretching into an eternity without her touch or the sound of her laughter.

Being a well sought after fugitive meant keeping a low profile, evading authorities while struggling with the ache of separation from the one person who anchored his restless soul.

In the dim light, he sat at his desk littered with crumpled pieces of paper, each bearing futile attempts at capturing the depth of his longing in a few succinct lines.

How could mere words convey the enormity of his love for her, the emptiness that gnawed at him in her absence?

He picked up another postcard, its blank surface mocking his efforts to distill his feelings into something tangible.

Hours slipped away as he scribbled and discarded, each attempt falling short of encapsulating the essence of their bond.

This was not just about professing love, it was about assuring her that despite the silence, despite the distance, he was still hers, bound by the unspoken promises they had woven together.

Finally, in a moment of clarity, he reached for a fresh postcard and began to write.

His pen moved with a purpose born of desperation and determination, tracing the words that carried the weight of days spent apart and the hope of reunification.

L'amicizia è un'anima che abita in due corpi,  he wrote, the quote she had whispered to him months ago resurfacing as a beacon of solace.

"In the silence between us, may this remind you that I carry your heart with me, always. Until we meet again, Amore mio." He said kissing the sealed postcard and carefully addressed it, ensuring it would reach her discreetly, bypassing the scrutiny that shadowed his every move.

In that small piece of paper, he entrusted his heart, knowing that she would understand the depth of his devotion and the resilience of their connection.

As he released the postcard into the postal system, a sense of peace washed over him—a fleeting respite from the uncertainty that loomed on the horizon.

For in those few lines, he had conveyed not just his love, but a promise to weather the storm of separation until the day they could be reunited, bound once more by the undeniable truth of their shared destiny.

And as he waited in the shadows, counting the days until their paths converged again, he held onto the belief that love, steadfast and unwavering, would bridge the distance and bring them back into each other's arms, where they belonged.

Notes:

I don’t know what I’m scribbling but I revisited the show recently and it was beautiful to see the angst and love underneath the humour and darkness of the show most of which I missed out on my first viewing.

As a pair I feel Chayenzo had/have a great potential to churn out a great love story even though it wasn’t supposed to be a romantic one unfortunately we can only sustain on fictional stories to celebrate the couple, so be it.

I’m going to camp here for a while , thank you for reading till here , I hope you enjoyed it.
