Work Text:
Danny lay on her back with her arms behind her head. She had closed her eyes, she was still smiling, content. I had my head propped up on my hand, watching the light fall across her bare chest. All colour and contrast muted by the curtains, I wondered how I might paint her, what brushstrokes of mine could ever do her justice. Mere minutes ago she had been in my arms, crying out as she rocked against my hand. She had moaned my name, clinging to me until her nails dug into the skin above my shoulder blades, clinging to me until she had drawn out every last second of pleasure, louder and more unashamed than she had ever been at Manderley. Manderley. When I closed my eyes I could still see it burning. I laughed. Danny opened one eye. Yes? I wanted to kiss every inch of her, wanted to feel her arch into my touch again, breathing fast as my lips travelled lower, lower. She was mine now, all mine. Nothing. I buried my face against her neck.
