Work Text:

Gojo had been caught up with work. His work being a therapist had been draining, to say the least. Listening to other people’s problems always annoyed him to wits end, but he helped people nonetheless because the feeling of helping people made him feel good, so he chose psychology as his career.
But nowadays during covid, he would have to have sessions with his patients on zoom, making the whole process longer and much more grueling, for both Gojo, and his husband, Skibidi.

Skibidi felt sidelined. He always disliked weekdays because Gojo would come home late while he would stay home and take care of Suguru the second. It was draining. And Skibidi felt horrible for feeling that way, since all he was doing was taking care of a child, while his husband was comforting and in some cases changing and saving people’s lives.

Oh, Suguru the second.

Skibidi hated it. He loathed it. His own child’s name was just an endless reminder of how he would always be second in his husbands eyes. always second to Geto. It was torturous, and he had to deal with it alone.

Gojo had one of his rare work days off and skibidi took this opportunity to talk to his husband about how stressed he’s feeling, hoping to eventually come to a compromise, or at least communicate with his partner.
He walks into Gojo’s office. He was doing extra paperwork, even though it was his day off and the paperwork wasn’t due anytime soon. “Love, can we talk?” Skibidi mutters, knocking on the door frame.

Gojo looks up from his papers and sets down his pen. “What is it?” Gojo says, his tone slightly irritated, clear aggression apparent in his voice. He clearly wasn’t in the best of moods, but Skibidi had to take this opportunity to talk to his lover, it being one of his rare days off, after all.
Skibidi sighs. “It’s about your workload and hours. Love, I’m worried. And, well, I feel.. unappreciated.” Gojo glares at Skibidi. on one hand, he feels guilty for virtually neglecting his partner, but he also feels annoyed.

Gojo pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance and rolls his eyes. “My workload is just fine. I’m fine. Just go, I need to get this done and you’re distracting me.” Skibidi frowns and leans his toilet seat against the door frame.
“You don’t get it, I—“ Skibidi starts, before Gojo interrupts him. “I told you to go, didn’t I? I don’t need to listen to you harp on about your nonsense while I provide for this family. I told you to go.”

Skibidi opens his mouth to retort, but he closes his jaw. “Fine. I need to make dinner away.” Skibidi bites his lip. “Yeah, you go do that,” Gojo mumbles. Skibidi gives him one last glance and hesitantly backs up, turning around to walk away.

An hour later, skibidi knocks on Gojo’s office door to tell him that dinner was finished and waiting for him on the stove. Gojo reluctantly stands up and drags his feet over to the stove, getting himself a bowl and walking back to his office, not uttering a word to Skibidi. Not even acknowledging that Skibidi made dinner. Skibidi’s eye twitches as he hastily dumps the dinner into a bowl and gives it to Suguru the Second. That night they sleep on separate sides of the bed without any contact.

A few days later, Gojo leaves his phone on the coffee table when he gets up to take a shit. His phone gets a notification and Skibidi decides to look at it…

Twilight sparkle.

Why would he get a text from Twilight? The woman he cheated on Skibidi with? Especially since Gojo promised he would never cheat again and he would cut all contact with that pony. Skibidi’s mind races before he decides to click on the notification and his eyes skim over their texts.

Skibidi’s heart stops.

He was cheating. Again.
