An Autograph Written In Steps

Summary:

As Akutagawa saw him, his mind stopped working, focusing fully on the boy on the stage. There was something about the singer, something so alluring. Maybe it was his angelic voice, or maybe his almost tiger-like gaze, or how pretty he looked on the stage, Akutagawa couldn't tell. Nonetheless, his attention was stolen by the boy.

Or

Atsushi is a singer in a band that Akutagawa stumbles upon on a particular night and falls for miserably, not knowing that the other boy shares his feelings.

Chapter 1: Stumbling into you

Chapter Text

Akutagawa stumbled into the club, already prepared to leave after a few seconds. He was there only to avoid his co-worker, who as of lately has been trying to talk to him alone, clearly wanting to say something that would probably cause them problems during work. He leaned against the wall, now acknowleding that there was a live performance of some band for whom he didn't really care. As he was thinking of leaving, a boy entered his eyesight. He had silver-white hair, hazelnut eyes that lured him in, a white, partialy unbuttoned t-shirt with a black tie and black trousers. As Akutagawa saw him, his mind stopped working, focusing fully on the boy on the stage. There was something about the singer, something so alluring. Maybe it was his angelic voice, or maybe his almost tiger-like gaze, or how pretty he looked, Akutagawa couldn't tell. Nonetheless, his attention was stolen by the boy.

" 𝘚𝘰, 𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘐 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘣𝘦 "

He was staring at the singer intensly, entranced by his performance. The boy's voice was ringing in his ears, captivating him even more.

" 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘶𝘣 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘦 "

At one moment, his breath hitched as the boy's eyes landed on his own. Their eyes met, and it almost felt like he couldn't breathe.

" 𝘓𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘰𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐, 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 "

" 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘚𝘯𝘶𝘧𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘔𝘺, 𝘸𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 "

" 𝘓𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘰𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐, 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 "

It almost felt as if the boy was singing personally to him, as a smile showed on his face. Oh how bright his smile was, for Akutagawa, probably the most beautiful smile he's ever seen. The silver-white haired boy winked at him, and immediately a blush appeared on Akutagawa's face, as well as a small smile that he couldn't control.

" 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮 "

" 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩, 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘶𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 "

" 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 "

The boy hasn't looked at him directly through the performance again, but his gaze wandered towards Akutagawa's a few times. Throughout the whole song he stared at the boy, a small smile staying on his face alongside a blush resting on his face. He totally forgot about his co-worker, and instead of coming home, he spent his whole evening in the club, mesmerized by the singer.

Notes:

Thanks for reading! I'll try to update it regularly and possibly make the chapters longer. Can't promise anything, though!
