Chapter 1: Prologue Falling down.

Chapter Text

Having left the Vault the man kept his hood up not able to process what he had seen. So no matter what he did his vengeance would never truly be satisfied... And even if that somehow were to be the case the world would be turned to ash by the sun Someday, way off in the future. Sure the Strange woman Minerva told him there was someone he must deliver a message to, so that they would know what to do to save the world from destruction.

But...

Was that all his life was worth?

Just to be some glorified messenger?

It couldn't be could it?

Yet no matter how he thought of it... That's all it seamed to add up to. It made the man feel so... Empty... Everything passed by in a blur having talked to his Uncle telling him he needed to go on his own journey to find himself. His uncle seamed to understand especially after he refused to tell him what he found in the Vault.

He wasn't able to tell him he killed the man in there having thought he had finally truly avenged his family.

This was all a few months ago.

Now he was in Town Ebbot a small Town that was not far from the Tall Mountain it was named after. The man often found himself drawn to the center of town where A small bunch of Yellow Flowers grew. Their petals seamed to glow in the light of the sun. He heard the people around town calling them Golden Flowers. This seamed to be the only place in the entire world they grew. No wonder the Man never heard of them before.

It was only thanks to his Apple of Eden the man was able to understand the people here since they spoke a language he was not familiar with. The man had been in town for a couple of weeks feeling no better then when he arrived unless he was by the flowers. That's where he was now.

He was happy the people seamed to stay away from him at least all except this one guy who often tried to talk to him whenever he saw the man by the flowers. One particular day though when the stranger was once again trying to chat with the man in the hood he mentioned something that actually made the hooded man look over.

"What?"

The man looked surprised. "Wow you were so quiet I assumed you just didn't speak my language."

The hooded man stared at him for a moment before he spoke again. "What was it you just said?" The hood less guy tilted his head. "I have been telling you about our town for weeks and My Warning about Mount Ebbot is what catches your attention?"

The hooded man sighed, "I have been listening, I just hadn't had anything to say. But about Mount Ebbot... What was it you said again? I'm asking just so the warning sticks."

The hood less man hesitated before he sighed and repeated himself. "Well The myth around Mount Ebbot is... It's cursed... Anyone who climbs the mountain disappears. Never to be seen again."The Hooded man's heart quickened could it be... "I'll keep your warning in mind thanks."The hood less man sighed in relief then went back to talking about the rest of the town and its attractions. But the hooded man wasn't listening anymore. Making plans for tonight. Maybe this empty feeling could be erased once and for all. Nightfall couldn't have come fast enough. Having packed plenty of things to protect himself in case he ran into trouble. He refused to fall to a person's hand. Only by what he had heard. If all went according to plan this would be his last mission.

It all ends tonight...

He couldn't have doubts about this. He had to do this... It was the only way he would see his Family again... He had tried to be strong to avenge them... But he was done... Having reached his breaking point months ago in that Vault...

The climb wasn't to hard though when he reached a particularly ruff part of the climb he stopped to take a break. The hooded man sat down closing his eyes for a moment letting the slight breeze ruffle his hair a bit though he tensed up soon enough hearing footsteps and a familiar voice.

"How did I know that guy would try to climb the mountain even after I warned him." It was the man who had been talking to him for the past few weeks. The hooded man cursed how had he been so careless why was that guy even trying to find him. He quickly climbed the tree he was resting under listening to the man and apparently his many companions.

"Why dose it matter if he wants to disappear in the mountain isn't that his business?" It was a woman's voice he heard ask the man. The man answered her.

"Because that man is special... I believe he is one of them... One of The Assassins. Which means he may have some secrets to share."

The hooded man was suddenly puzzled after a moment he turned on his Eagle Vision seeing several people but that's not what bothered him. What bothered him was that they glowed a Red color... The color of an enemy... The Color of a Templar.

The hooded man cursed internally how had he not seen it? This was a group of Templar's. He let them continue on their way till their voice faded having turned his Eagle vision off now he waited. Not only did he need to do this now because of his personal reasons... There was no way he was going to let Templar's find him. And find out his secrets. He got out the tree making his way in a different direction. He was at A bit of a disadvantage... They knew this place and he didn't.

Having climbed further up the hooded Man was found by the group soon after like he thought they knew this place and he didn't. He immediately took off on a random direction he would fight if he had to but he was done with that as well. Plus how satisfying would it he to escape the Templar's and get away and complete his final mission.

It was A game of cat and mouse with the Assassin and the Templar's. It went on till dawn. When the Assassin stopped in a cave to catch his breath he closed his eyes. It unfortunately didn't take long for them to find him though. He could hear them not far off. The Assassin stood, going further into the cave only to trip on a root and tumble close to A hole. The Assassin gasped all to quickly he fell over the edge unable to grab the ledge he fell down into the darkness.

Now that it was happening he was terrified.

This was what he had planned right? He had wanted to disappear... But now that he was falling down, further and further. He knew he didn't want this. He didn't want what had been laid down for him but he didn't want this either. Suddenly pain shot through the Assassin's body as he hit the bottom. He heard faded voices above and soon they left. Probably the Templar's thinking he died from the fall. The Assassin tried to stand but his body refused to move panic shot through him as his vision began to fade.

"Help! Someone please! Help!"

Why was he screaming for help? It's not like anyone was down here. It's not like-

"I think it came from over here!"

The Assassin froze.

That... Sounded like a kid....

He was barely awake by the time the small blob came into view he could still hear them well enough but he couldn't see very well. The blob was mainly green and white. And it was small.

"Oh no, you've fallen down haven't you? Here let me stay with you till mom and dad come."

The Assassin was silent what the hell was this thing? It was definitely a kid but... Why did it seam so...

"Hey there you are- Oh my goodness is that a human? Are they okay?"

the voice that spoke sounded like a Woman's voiceThe Assassin really began to panic now trying to get away from whatever was reaching for him. His body having recovered a bit from the shock of the fall he was able to move now.

"No please... S-Stay away from me..."

"But... Didn't you just call for help? You fell down the hole right? We just want to make sure your okay."

It was the Woman's voice again.

The Assassin's vision finally began to clear a bit. He guessed it was the adrenaline rush that was making it possible. The woman in front of him not only looked like royalty but... She was a Goat. He looked past her seeing that the kid who first found him was also a Goat and not for off from the woman Goat was a male Goat. He to was dressed like royalty... What kind of place had he stumbled onto.

"Please young Human. Let us help you."

Her voice held that of a concerned mother not what he expected. He started at her for a moment turning on his Eagle vision seeing they were blue. They meant him no harm.

"Where... Where am I?"

He asked after a moment it was the Male who answered.

"Your in the Underground, we Monsters have been here a long time."

The Assassin was clearly confused.

"Monsters?"

The Woman Goat nodded attempting to reach for him again. This time he didn't move away from her. He let himself be picked up her grip was surprisingly gentle for what they just called themselves.

"We can explain everything to you once we get you all healed up."

She said simply a smile on her face as she spoke to him. She was giving off a warmth and vibe he hadn't felt in a long time... Since that faithful day when he was seventeen. The little kid Goat walked close by staring at the Assassin like he was the strangest thing he had ever seen. And he probably was. Soon the large male picked up the little kid so he would be able to talk to him if he pleased.

"Hey human What's your name?"

He asked eyes wide with curiosity. The Assassin smiled at the kid feeling sleepy again. But answered none the less.

"Ezio." He answered.

"Ezio hu? That's a nice name. My name is Asrial."
