Chapter Text
Prologue
Charlie was reading the three year old newspaper, he remembered the long headache that was the trial of his former idol and mentor several months ago that resulted in Willy Wonka in solitary confinement without parole in an asylum. The things he had discovered haunting his mind, such as the fate of many of the twenty Oompa Loompas that tried the three meal gum and how as a result she should died that day, especially as she was as big as the doorway to the juicing room. Thank god he had his therapist and his that his beautiful and that his blue wife Violet was as alive as before, during and after the tour and that he had his wonderful soon to be fourteen son William, several month old son Joseph and baby Manon, who always made them happy and at peace in the strange world.
The sound of a motorbike parking, the jangle of key and the front door opening made him turn and smile, his wife was home. "Hey Vi, how you was the drive?" He asked. "Pretty good," the pixie haired, athletic blue woman started as she took off her unique helmet. "I never get tired of having this bike, thanks for buying it for me on my last birthday." Charlie smiled at her words, he may have reunited with violet by chance when she and him were eighteen, but she had matured a lot since then; gone is the depressed and bitter young woman who once was a competitive and
troubled girl, but now a confident and brave woman that he loved so much he'd leave the factory to someone else and lose all the money he has earned, just so long as he has her and their wonderful children beside him.
"Any time my beautiful blue bride." Violet felt herself blush, Charlie always found a way to charm her. "You're so soppy, you know that?" Charlie smiled, he's glad to see his wife. "Still focused on th we e trial?" Charlie's smile faded and he nodded. "You didn't deserve it Vi, none of them deserved it." "True," Violet held Charlie by his arms. "But we all have you to thank, even if Veruca is too proud and or stupid to admit it, and love you no matter what." Violet smiled as she spoke, she meant every single word. She then saw the newspaper. "Don't beat yourself up about it," she said, taking it from Charlie's hands. "I love you and that's what counts."
Charlie couldn't help but smile at his wife's words, it sometimes felt surreal to think this wasn't a dream. "Do you want to go to a Nando's tonight?" "Of course honey." As violet leaned in to kiss him, William rolled his eyes. "I'm right here guys, a little discretion." At this, Charlie and Violet burst out laughing. "Sorry Will, we'll be more private."
