He always though there was something different about Jimmy, other than him being obsessed with being safe, but he just didnt know what. He also didnt know much about him, he knew thay basic like that hes the safety rat (shocker), his name is jimmy, his favorite color is red, favorite flower is poppy, and hes always wearing his bright safety vest, but other than that? Nothing. So when he wondering the halls of the house they've basically taken over, he really doesn't expect to see Jimmy, in a hole, looking on the verge of a breakdown.
Well first he heard Jimmy, and honestly hes surprised there was no other rats around him, because he was really loud. Scott didnt realized it Jimmy at first though, hes never heard him, not to be rude, sound so pathetic up untill now, so it caught him off guard and had him frozen in place for a good few minutes. After being able to shake himself form the shock, he rushed to the safety rat.
He could tell immediately that there was something most definitely not right about the scene infront of him, more than he thought it would be. Jimmy was sitting with his head in his knees, shaking horribly, and it sounded like he was possibly crying, though he could just be whinning as quite as possible, which again wasnt very quite. He slowly reached his hand to gently touch the top of jimnys head, as not to startle him to much, though that failed as Jimmy immediately flinched back and shoot him head up. He locked eye with Scott for a second before locking away quite quickly and wiping his eyes. From what Scott could see, Jim had tear streaks down his checks, his eyes were red, but so was his whole face basically, he looked very flushed, which he assumed was because he was just caught crying in the middle of the hall.
"Jimmy, Sweethearts, whats wrong?" Scott asked, trying to keep him voice soft to make sure Jimmy didnt think he was mad. The only responds he got was a shake of the head and more whinning. Jimmy still refused to meet his eyes though, opting to look at the floor instead of the farmer.
Scott let out a quite sigh, and grabbing the others hand, planting a soft kiss on them. He wasnt going to force Jim to talk if he didnt want to, that would just make this whole situation worse than it needs to be or already is. He was just there to provide comfort for the other rat, he was going to be the shoulder for Jimmy to cry on right now. He was content with just sitting for however long Jinny wanted, gently stroking the back of his hands till he calmed down enough to breath properly, even if it took hours for that happen.
Eventually after a long time of them just sitting there, Jimmy finally said something to indicate how he was feelings.
"Scott, do you think im doing a good job?" He asked, though it sounded like you could tell what answer he was expecting, like he was waiting for the 'ofcourse not?.'
It was silent for a while, just the sound of their breathing, untill the silence was broke by a soft,
"Ofcourse you are. Your doing the best job." From Scott.
