Chapter Text
As the crimson sky over the Hazbin Hotel darkened into evening, screams echoed through the streets of Hell. Extermination Day was approaching quickly, within the week coming, bringing chaos to the inhabitants of Hell. Amidst the onslaught of destruction and impending chaos, a young demon named [Y/N] found themselves seeking shelter of the infamous hotel.
Inside the hotel, they stumbled upon Alastor’s broadcasting wing, hoping to find solace from the madness outside with the Radio Demon. As intimidating as he was, they sought comfort in the very thing that scared them the most when they first arrived in Hell for eternity. With his scarring acts he called ‘entertainment’, he was civil with them enough to calm their nerves.
Eventually, they started seeking out his presence, which was foreign to him. The last person who willingly wanted to be around him was his mother; when he was still alive, of course. She wouldn’t belong in these hellish situations and life styles, too good for anyone in his mind. She was his everything, and he knew she’d frown upon him for what he’s done. It was all for her.
They cautiously opened the door, a wave of concern washed over them when they realized he wasn’t there. The room was dimly lit, adorned with an antique desk and radio setup, and emanated an eerie yet comforting aura.
A creek from the corner caught their eye, glancing downward and a suspicious piece of wooden flooring lifted agape slightly. With new sparked curiosity, they bent down and opened the ‘fake flooring’ to see a good sized drop; 6 feet or so. With courage, they hopped down the hole as gently as possible to prevent a sprained ankle.
Unbeknownst to them, they had just stepped into Alastor's private sanctuary. There was an antique couch with a small table beside it, a small radio in the corner, and a miniature bookshelf with a dozen books or so. Hearing the trapdoor creak shut, Alastor, the infamous Radio Demon, turned his head from his book, an intrigued smile playing upon his lips.
"[Y/N], what brings you to my humble abode during such a delightful scramble of hope?" Alastor purred, his voice laced with dark intrigue.
Surprised by the unexpected encounter, [Y/N] stuttered, "I...I was just looking for you, somewhere safe to stay in the future."
Alastor chuckled, his crimson eyes glinting mischievously. "Well, you've certainly come to the right place. How about we strike a deal, my dear [Y/N]? I shall keep you safe during this Extermination Day coming, and in return, you entertain me with your delightful company."
Though wary of Alastor's true intentions, they decided to pick a little on the demon. “You don’t want my soul, do you?” He laughed at their question, as if they were a child saying something incomprehensible. “Hellens no! I simply like to have a format to follow; I must have everything known and placed beforehand, I assure you. It would drive me mad if not.” His voice rang with static towards the end, sending a familiar shiver down their spine.
Can’t, wouldn’t, and couldn't refuse the lifeline he offered, they agreed. "Alright, it's a deal," they said. “As long as you keep both of us safe. Are you sure this place is… ‘angel-proof’?” He chuckled again. “Now now, my dear, why would I lie to a sweet little face like you?” His eyes glinted with something unrecognizable to them, causing hesitation to spark again, but not without a small blush coming to the surface of their skin. “R-right. I’m trusting you on this, Al.”
Alastor beckoned them to the couch, using his abilities to turn the jazz playing on the radio up a bit further before settling down to his book once again. Getting comfortable, they pulled out their phone to check on the world outside the bunker, still in utter chaos.
