Sonic did it over and over again. Defeat robot, save the Mobians.
Defeat robot, save the Mobians.
Defeat robot, save the Mobians.
Repeatedly.
After years of this cycle, the hero starts wondering ‘why even keep doing this…do I get many thanks? No’
‘They expect me to keep saving them from Eggmans machinery like I don’t have a choice?’ his thoughts continue to spiral getting worse and worse, until it makes him snap one faithful day.

Sonic lies on the hammock, outside his shack. The sun making his quills warm, it was peaceful.
Too peaceful…
Just then the hedgehog here’s a blaring bang, he sighs knowing that it was another one of Eggmans robots attacking a village nearby. Sonic rushed to the commotion which didn’t take long at all, for the speedster.
His team (and friends) were already there. Amy swinging her massive hammer around, bashing one of the machinery in its side.
Tails flying, with a remote in one of his hands and Knuckles punching constantly like he was on auto-pilot.
The usual.
“Sonic what took you so long?!” Tails shouted from up above.
‘I wasn’t even late…’ Sonics intrusive thoughts said but instead he exclaims “Sorry little bro I just heard the explosion!” His voice is trying so hard not to have any vice in it, even though Tails comment wasn’t harmful.
‘I’m really in a bad mood today aren’t I?’ He thinks to himself again as he spin dashes into a metallic robot.
After they had finished destroying all of Eggmans machinery, Eggman runs away like every other day they fight and Sonics team comes up to him.
“Sonic!” Amy practically screams making Sonic jump at the loudness “What took you so long to get down here?!” He rubs the back of his head at her volume.
“Look Ames I’m sorry..” Sonic tiredly responded with no snarky response like normal, the bags under his eyes were visible.
Tails seemed to catch on “Sonic are you feeling…ok?” The foxes brows knitted in concern, for his brother.
Sonic goes quite for a moment before replying making the fox’s concern for his friend deepen.
“Don’t worry about me I’m-“ before he could reply he got cut off by a shout directly aimed at him, the groups gaze turn to the sound. A middle aged woman, holding her child in her arms was staring at him with venom in her eyes.
“Why didn’t you come here sooner?!” The wolf Mobian snapped “I thought you were supposed to be a so called hero and help?!” Her tone got more furious at the end.
Sonic knew she was talking to him, the way her lips were curved down into a snarl even.
Something about her words made Sonic’s stomach churn in a pained way, He hated the feeling. A lot.
“Hey! what are you talking about we just saved your butt!” Knuckles shouted angrily.
The woman completely ignored the echidna and stared at Sonic, narrowing her eyes.
Tails noticed her gaze on Sonic and butted into the argument.
“Hey he did nothing wrong he was just a little…late..” He tried to defend his speedy friend, though his comment didn’t help at all. She turned her anger to Tails “Yeah he did nothing! He didn’t help what so ever even though he could’ve!” Her voice full of vice as she shouted at the poor fox.
Next moment there is a baby crying as Sonic grabs her wrist, gripping it with killer strength as the wolf winces harshly.
“What the hell?!” She exclaims trying to tug back her arm but the blue hedgehogs hold on the limb wasn’t moving one bit, wether she liked it or not…
His friends gasp at his reaction, Tails even takes a step back in shock. Sonic doesn’t care at this moment though. ‘The bitch shouted at Tails, His own brother for nothing!’ Sonic pondered, his thoughts never used to be like this…
‘She had this coming…’
The babies wails got more harsh, the ladies shouts got more deafening and the cries from his friends got more panicked.
it made him more and more irritated, the ringing didn’t help either.
He didn’t even notice his fist raising to punch the woman in the gut like his anger was in control of his every move. Nothing like the old Sonic…
‘Is this how Knuckles and Shadow feel?..’
The ringing didn’t stop playing constantly through the whole scene.
‘MAKE IT STOP!’ His brain screams at him, making him lash out even more at the vulnerable woman. She has no chance in winning this fight and it looks like she knows already.
Suddenly something hard hits Sonic on the head as his vision went hazy, his thoughts becoming sloppy from being drowsy, Until he couldn’t keep his eyes open any longer.
THUD!
