It was a rainy, foggy day at the Akademiya and inside Kaveh’s mind too. He just broke an ink probe and those tend to be quite expensive. Thankfully, the ink spilled on the floor and not on his table so his designs were still intact. Kaveh was trying to figure out what to do with the minor ink spill when he heard a faint knock on his door.
“Come in.”
“A letter for you from Aaru Village, sir Kaveh.” From Aaru Village? Maybe a commissioner? It’s not the first time Kaveh was invited by a client to work with them by letter. Still, he preferred face-to-face since writing took too much time. As he undid the letter, the words read:
Dear Mr. Kaveh, architect from the Akademiya
We have received news of a building designed by you to have collapsed. This has caused us to believe that you’ve made a mistake during your process of calculating on how the building will stand. This mistake has caused 2 casualties. The investigation on how this happened is still ongoing, but you are currently the primary cause of this predicament.
We send you this letter for you to prepare for the Matra to investigate this matter with you. Please arrange all the necessary paperwork you might have obtained or written during this project. You are suspended of your work as of (--/–/—-) until the Matra finds the root cause of this problem.
The family of the deceased have pressed charges against you. If these claims are to be true, you will be charged with 3rd degree murder by negligence and architectural error.
