The Yandere's Omega

Summary:

A yandere falls for an omega and must keep it to themselves until the time is right.

AiDeku Secret Santa Exchange 2023

Notes:

This is for Clear_Object_Witch my recipient for the AiDeku Secret Santa Exchange 2023.

Honestly, I've never written anything in the omega verse, so by extension an omega/omega pairing, anything with yanderes, or with a quirkless Izuku before. I wasn't confident I could pull off one by itself so my thought was that at least some of it has to be good if there was more then one. Hopefully my recipient thinks so!

Warnings for Underage, Murder of non-important characters, and Stalking.
(At least I hope that's it. Let me know if there's more.)

Enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Izuku never really understood what all the fuss was about with love. That was until his first day of school at U.A..

He was prepared for hateful comments due to his lack of a quirk, for alphas and betas to look down on him due to him being an omega in heroics, and even for people thinking he was a stalker due to his analysis books but not that he would fall in love with his teacher right from the moment he saw him.

Well, he actually smelt him before he saw him. He was in the classroom talking to the beta girl he had saved from the 0-pointer with a knife when the sweet scent of flowers mixed with apples and honey (Chamomile, his mind supplied. His favorite sleepy time tea.) of an omega wafted up his nose. Izuku turned around quickly cutting off the beta to see who's heavenly scent he was smelling only to find his favorite Pro Hero Eraserhead. His deep and scratchy voice entered Izuku's ears at the same time as his eyes roamed over his figure. They traversed from the bright yellow sleeping bag, to the long dark locks, to the scruffy facial hair, and finally to a pair of black eyes that met his own. The feeling of the intense gaze made Izuku shudder and he was attracted to them instantly. At that moment, Izuku knew that this man was going to be his mate.

The realization only lasted a second before the hero's words registered in his head and he scurried over to his desk. He didn’t want his future mate to get upset at him on their first meeting so he pushed any other thoughts aside for the moment to focus on class. He listened as Aizawa Shouta (His future mate’s name is Shouta!) took out PE uniforms from his sleeping bag and told them to meet him outside. Not wanting to disappoint him, Izuku rushed to get changed and was the first one out on the field. He got a nod of approval for his effort before the others slowly joined him.

When Shouta announced that they would be doing a quirk apprehension test Izuku wasn’t worried about being getting last place. He may not have a quirk, but he has trained his body since he was young on his own. His original plan was to enter a dojo but they wouldn't let him sign up because he was quirkless. Which was ridiculous in Izuku's opinion but he couldn't do anything about it. So instead, he borrowed books from the library and watched videos on working out and fighting, he ran and did parkour every day, and he analyzed hero fights. All of which he still does every day. It had taken him longer than he would have liked to gain muscles due to his omegan status but he eventually succeeded. What he was worried about was that Shouta would dislike him because he didn’t have a quirk. That would have made successfully courting Shouta and making him fall for him so much harder.

But the proud look on Shouta’s face, when he got 10th place overall, blew his worries away immediately and made all his efforts feel worth it. Well, he hoped it was a proud expression since he hadn’t mastered reading his future mate yet. But give him a break, he had only known him for a few hours!

Unfortunately, though, he did get outed as a quirkless omega by Kacchan. But luckily the alpha’s plan to ostracise him from his classmates didn’t seem to work since they didn’t look like they cared. The reveal even made him some potential packmates with the beta girl Uraraka from the entrance exam and Iida an alpha. Izuku hoped that that mentality lasted.

Once home, Izuku daydreamed of courting Shouta, of showering him with love and affection, and of making him fall for him right this instant. But that was going to be hard. First off, they were both omegas. A bond like that wouldn't be normal. But when has he ever been normal? To Izuku, it sounded perfect. As long as they loved each other, it didn't matter what others thought. Plus, as a fellow omega, Izuku would understand a fellow omega's needs better than an alpha ever could. Secondly, his quirk status. He would usually be worried about this the most but it didn't seem like Shouta cared about it at all so after that he bypassed that point easily. Thirdly, his age. Izuku didn't think that Shouta would take him seriously since he was so young. But all he had to do to fix that was to wait until he was older. Which was also the solution for the fourth point, Shouta's teacher status. No sane person would agree to a bond as risky and unethical as one with one of their students. So, he just had to wait until he wasn't his student anymore. Waiting until graduation it was! Izuku just hoped he could hold down his instincts screaming at him to go claim his mate right away. And that Shouta would remain mateless of course. Izuku didn't want to have to dispose of scare someone away or be forced to break a bond but he would if he had to. So until graduation, Izuku would plan, dream, and watch Shouta from the sidelines and as he focused on school.

It was an easy enough job to accomplish with how exciting the rest of the week was from avoiding Kacchan during the battle trials, to the break-in, and to choosing a class representative. That was until they were attacked by the League of Villains at the USJ and he saw his future mate bleeding and broken on the plaza floor. He didn’t even think before he threw a bomb at the Nomu to get it off of Shouta. When it redirected its attention to Izuku, all he could think about was how he could die happy knowing he had protected Shouta. Luckily it didn’t come to that thought as All Might arrived just in time to save them.

When the fight and adrenalin died down Izuku realized how precious time was. He didn’t have the time to wait 3 years until he was an adult to start courting Shouta. Villain attacks and accidents could happen at any time and anywhere. Plus, he wanted to spend as much time with Shouta as possible. And the faster he was his mate, the better.

But he knew he had to take things slow. So he started things off small by asking more questions in and out of class. That way, Shouta would get accustomed to his presence and his love's attention would be on him for just a bit longer.

Sometimes when he was out seeking Shouta, he would find him napping in strange places such as on the roof, in closets, in hallways, and even in the vents. When this happened, Izuku always tried his best to make sure Shouta was as undisturbed as possible. He'd close the vents so less noise traveled towards Shouta, he’d lock the closet and roof doors, and he’d even put up 'Closed Hallway' signs so students and faculty were forced to take detours down different paths. On the rare occasions when Izuku would stay to watch him, he would dream of entering his future mate's sleeping bag to snuggle up next to him to enjoy his warmth. Though he didn't do it often. He didn't want Shouta to know just yet what he was doing to keep him happy.

During all that time, Izuku also found time to train for the sports festival. He wanted to win to show Shouta how strong he was but was beaten by the alpha Shinsou from class 1-C in the 3rd event. Regardless, he still thought he did a pretty good job of making Shouta proud of him if the headpat he received after was any indication. However, he had to hold himself back from purring and leaning his head into it from happiness. He also enjoyed watching many spectators get kicked out because they were booing him due to his quirk status.

After that, to his frustration, they had a mandatory week-long internship away from school to learn under real-life heroes. Izuku understood that it was to help him get stronger, but that didn’t mean he couldn't be upset that he would be away from Shouta for a whole week. But if it helped him get stronger, he would do it!

He ended up deciding to go with Pro Hero Snipe so he could learn how to wield firearms so he could fight long-range. Ironically, his few days of training came in handy a few days later when they took a trip to Hosu and he used a tranquilizer gun to stop Stain from maiming Iida.

What surprised him the most about that incident though is that Shouta came to visit him in the hospital. Well, he visited him, Iida, and Todoroki but it was close enough. Although Izuku didn’t know how Shouta found out about their involvement so early since only they, the heroes present, and the police chief knew that they were present during the attack until the Stain video came out a day later.

After that, school was back to normal until the final exams so Izuku kicked his plan up a notch. He noticed that Shouta didn’t really take good care of himself and decided to start leaving him gifts. Anonymously, of course. He couldn't have Shouta knowing it was him yet. He always made sure to place them in areas that many people had access to, such as the classroom, and the teachers' lounge. Some of the gifts included vitamin-filled jelly packs, unopened coffee grounds and cans, salty licorice, and tickets to his favorite cat cafe. He even left a can of spray in conditioner once when Shouta came in with extra tangled hair.

Izuku really wished he could leave a cup of coffee or some homemade food, but he knew that Shouta would just throw it out. He would too if he didn’t know where it was coming from or who was leaving it for him. He hoped that his future mate just thought that the unopened stuff he left was from his packmates and didn’t look into it.

One day, he made a game-changing discovery. Because they were both omegas, they used the same changing room! Though Shouta didn't use it all the time and usually not when there were no students around. But whenever he did, Izuku would sneak in so he could get his fill of Shouta’s muscly and scarred body.

Through it all, he also found the time to form packbonds with Iida, Uraraka, Asui, and Todoroki, who all still didn't care about his quirk status. Then even supported his dream of being an underground hero just like Shouta!

Times passed and eventually, the first term exams rolled around, where he succeeded in running away from All Might by leaving Kacchan to fight. It’s not what his alpha teammate wanted, but Izuku didn’t want to disappoint Shouta by failing. What was the most strange though was that Kacchan didn't yet at him for running away. Maybe U.A. was finally knocking some sense into him.

On the last day of school before the summer break, Izuku found a nicely wrapped box on his desk. Curiously, he inspected it. It had his name on the tag and it was on his desk so he didn't think it was from a villain. They wouldn't know which seat was his. It didn't say who left it for him though. Maybe it was from one of his packmates and they were just too shy to give it to him in person. Well, it was either that or a courting gift and no one would give him one of those. But there was no harm in checking after he opened it though. So he nodded and proceeded to open the box carefully forgetting completely that he never told his packmates when his birthday was. Inside he found a very cute stuffed green bunny. He took a whiff of it and it luckily didn't smell. That was a relief. It was just a regular birthday gift and not a courting one. He ended up not telling anyone else about the gift and placed it into his nest. It became one of his new favorite plushies.

When the class decided to all take a trip to the mall together, Izuku couldn't have been more excited. He had never gone out with packmates before! Plus, Shouta was going along to supervise! He was saddened when they all split up and Shouta waited at the entrance for them but it wasn't the end of the world. That was until Shigaraki spotted him and he was forced to chat with the villain at the same time as holding in his distressed scent. He was so distracted that he didn't even hear his future mate come up behind them until Shigaraki was pulled away from him wrapped in Shouta's scarf like a burrito. Unfortunately, though, the villain escaped with the help of Kurogiri but no one was harmed so there was a plus. When the police arrived, Izuku overheard Shouta telling them that he knew Izuku was in danger due to his hero instincts and years of experience. Izuku hoped that one day his instincts would be that good. And that next time he could thank Shouta properly for saving him.

During the Summer Camp, instead of training his non-existent quirk like his classmates, Izuku practiced his close combat techniques with Tiger and learned how to shoot moving targets with the help of Pixie-Bob. And to get him accustomed to carrying around his guns, he was allowed to keep them on his person at all times. This came in quite handy when the training camp was attacked and Muscular went after Kota. He easily defeated him just by shooting the villain with several tranquilizers, which knocked him out instantly. He felt so helpful and proud of his actions and was ready to go save his classmates but when Izuku returned with the pup, Shouta locked him in the building preventing him from helping anyone else. He felt slightly frustrated but he understood. Shouta just wanted to keep him safe.

He found out a short time later that Kacchan was kidnapped by the league during the attack. This prompted Izuku and a few others to go save him. On the way there, they stopped to watch U.A.'s public apology broadcast, and Izuku had to stop himself from drooling over Shouta in a suit and beating up all the people around him who were badmouthing Shouta and U.A.. Luckily, no one seemed to notice the changes in his scent and they continued on their way and successfully saved Kacchan.

A few days after that, Shouta and All Might visited his house and Izuku learned that his whole class would be staying in dorms. Luckily, he convinced his dam to let him move into the dorms, and by extension, with Shouta. He knew that as an omega it was going to be hard living in a new place but he couldn't have been more excited. He would get to see his future mate more often and in a domestic setting!

Sadly, he bearly got to spend any time in the new dorms during the remainder of the summer break due to being so busy training for the provisional hero license exam. And he trained his butt off to make Shouta proud by getting the license on the first try. Technically, Izuku didn’t even have to take it because he didn’t have a quirk but the license would give him access to the hero net, and to regulated equipment such as quirk cuffs and hero-grade scent blockers so he chose to take it anyway.

When the day of the provisional hero license exam finally arrived and they got off the bus, Izuku’s mood soured because the annoying alpha Ms. Joke, came up to his future mate and started flirting with him. He could see and smell that the whole conversation was making Shouta uncomfortable and irritated but the alpha didn’t seem to care. So, Izuku stepped in and redirected her attention onto him. He would rather he be uncomfortable than his future mate any day. The action earned him a smile from Shouta so he counted it as a win. Not that he could see it though since his future mate hid it behind his capture weapon but Izuku recognized it anyway through his head duck and scent.

And if Ms. Joke’s house needed to be fumigated for bed bugs a week later, well, it wasn't really Izuku’s problem now, was it?

Once the test was finished, Izuku decided that it was quite easy thanks to his experience with long-range fighting, first aid training, and all of the modifications Hastume made to his costume. Though there was a slight hiccup with Toga, the rest of the exam was a breeze.

When school started back up and they got into a routine, it wasn't exactly the experience Izuku was hoping for. More often than not, Shouta was hiding away in his room from his students. But whenever he did grace them with his presence, Izuku was almost always nearby.

Out of all the places on the first floor, his favorite spot by far had to be the couch. The reason was simple. He got to sit beside Shouta, never too close of course, and bask in his perfect chamomile scent without it being suspicious. The only downside was that he had to stop himself from purring constantly. Though the few times he did slip up, it didn't seem like Shouta minded. Most of the time Izuku just hung out with his friends or worked on homework while Shouta was grading papers. But sometimes, Shouta joined them for their weekly movie nights. On those nights, Izuku loved to pretend to fall asleep so he could rest his head on Shouta's shoulder or use his lap as a pillow. And his future mate never pushed him off so Izuku counted that as a win.

Other times, Izuku discovered Shouta sleeping on the couch and found that he couldn't look away. He could've spent hours just staring at his sleeping face, knowing he was safe. And sometimes he did. Those times he'd always be scared that Shouta would wake up to Izuku’s presence, but he didn't. Rarely, he would drift off himself but whenever he did, he'd dream of Shouta watching him sleep! Those were some of his favorite dreams. Especially the ones where he was in his own bed with red eyes watching him through the vents.

Slowly but surely, his plan must be working since Shouta was so used to his presence, that he hasn't even woken up anymore. And Izuku knew that he was actually sleeping and not just resting his eyes like he did in class. Izuku had watched and found Shouta sleeping enough times that he knew the difference.

The new dorm system also allowed Izuku to make things for Shouta. He could now bring him a warm cup of coffee or a dish he had made and always got a rush of pleasure when he watched him consume it. Before, he never got to see if Shouta accepted his gifts or used them.

At some point, his future mate got comfortable enough to accidentally leave some of his clothes around the dorm. And Izuku took great pleasure in stealing them. He didn’t take them all so it didn’t look suspicious, and after a while, he had a pretty good stash of fabric infused with Shouta’s chamomile scent. So, he decided to sew them into a cat plushie and stuffed it with scent-absorbing materials. It became his new favorite stuffy, knocking down the green bunny to second place. And whenever he was in his room alone, he enjoyed snuggling up with it to take in Shouta’s scent while he was sleeping. Izuku was a little confused as to why Shouta never said anything about his clothes disappearing since some of his classmates always made such a big fuss when their stuff went missing but Izuku wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Around the same time, some of Izuku's apparel started disappearing too but he just assumed his packmates were taking them by accident while they were in the wash or something. It wasn't the end of the world, it was just clothes. Though a few times, he could have sworn that he left that particular article of clothing in his room but he must just be mistaken. Who would go into his room to steal clothes anyway?

He did notice, however, that sometimes things in his room were moved or something felt different. Like how his water bottle would be slightly moved and missing water, or how his cat stuffy would smell slightly stronger than when he left that morning. It must have just been his imagination though. Maybe he drank more water than he had though or the blankets were just doing a better job that day or something. Yeah. Those answers were the most probable so Izuku didn't really think about it too much.

The day right before his first heat in the dorms, Izuku stole more clothes than usual. It was easy to understand why. Before, he spent them at home, yearning for Shouta. But now that his future mate was in the same building as him, he needed an actual replacement. And the scent-filled apparel was the closest he was going to get at the moment. So the next day, he took out his stash of pillows and blankets and built his nest. Even knowing that he wouldn't be sharing this heat with Shouta, he left enough room for him to fit in. He had to get good at making a nest built for two after all. It made in purr imagining all of the soft materials Shouta would one day add from his own nest when they were finally together. With that thought in mind, Izuku settled down for the long night ahead. Not even half an hour later, when he was in bed shifting and calling out to his future mate, there was a knock at his door. It was well past curfew, and Izuku was in preheat so he didn't answer. Hopefully, the person who wanted him would give up and go away.

But of course, Izuku could never get his way as the person knocked again. He started to get irritated because he just wanted them to leave but he froze at the voice on the other side.

"Midoriya, can I talk to you for a moment?" asks Shouta, his future mate.

Izuku was confused. What did Shouta want from him right now? Wait. Had he heard him calling his name? That wouldn't be good. He wanted to run away and hide if that was the case but his heat-filled brain had a different idea as he found himself scrambling towards the door and his future mate.

He opened the door to find Shouta standing tall right outside and watched as he inhaled. Next, Shouta stepped inside past Izuku and shut and locked the door behind him. When Izuku finally took in his future mate's scent, the strong smell of blooming flowers and ripe apples hit his nose alerting him to Shouta's own preheat.

"I wanted to talk to you about my missing clothes." said Shouta.

Izuku froze again as Shouta turned to look down at him.

“I know you took them." He stepped closer to Izuku. "I've also seen you leave me little gifts. Were those courting gifts?”

Izuku's eyes widened and he squeaked.

"I see the way you look at me." he continued. "You're not as good at disguising it as you think."

Izuku shook where he stood. No! This wasn't how he wanted Shouta to find out. It wasn't time yet! He’d be disgusted with him! All Izuku could do was look away.

“I was going to wait before approaching you about it but I couldn’t hold myself back after hearing you call my name in the sweetest voice.” Shouta cupped Izuku's cheek and forced him to make eye contact.

“I want you too. I’ve wanted you for so long.” He leaned closer and inhaled a giant whiff of Izuku's extra-sweet strawberry scent. His pupils dilated.

Izuku's draw dropped in surprise. Shouta wanted him! Just like how Izuku wanted him! He was worried for nothing! His mind reeled at the revelation but he was quick to recover when he heard Shouta's next words.

“Say you’re mine. Right now.” growled out Shouta.

Izuku shivered and giggled. “I'm yours. I'm yours, Shouta! But only if you promise the same, okay?”

His words made Shouta grin ferally. “Of course, Izuku. I'm yours too." Shouta paused a moment. "Shall we seal it with a kiss?”

“Sounds good to me.” replied Izuku as his face broke out into one of his sunshine smiles.

Their lips crashed together the next second as they both fully slipped into their heats.

Shouta woke up slowly to the sweet scent of strawberries. He purred as he opened his eyes to see Izuku's sleeping form wrapped in his arms. His warm body was pressed against his little mate’s chest. Yes, mate. He had finally made the younger omega his. They had sealed a matebond only a few hours ago. He shifted his eyes slightly to Izuku’s neck, where a new bite mark stood out proudly on his scent gland. Shouta still felt a slight ache from the identical one his own. Shouta would never be able to forget the feelings of euphoria that coursed through his body when he bit Izuku and his mate returned the gesture. It was the best feeling in the world. To know that he was now connected to his love. He had been worried for so long that the bond wouldn't take because they were both omegas but it seemed it was all for nothing. And from what Shouta could tell, it was the strongest bond he'd ever heard of.

Maybe that's why he wanted Izuku the second they made eye contact. From his short height, curly green hair, cute diamond freckles, vibrant green eyes, and sweet and slightly sour strawberry scent, his future mate was perfect. He wanted to jump him that second but had a class of hero hopefuls and a future mate to teach right then. So he reluctantly got up out of his sleeping bag to start the class. Because the faster he started it, the faster it was finished and he could go home and learn all about his Izuku.

When the tests were over, he rushed home to research his future mate. Through hacking, he found out that Izuku hadn't had the best life and that his former school was a huge part of it. Because Izuku was quirkless, Shouta already knew that the authorities weren't going to care too much about him. So instead, he did the next logical thing. He kidnapped all of Izuku's former teachers and staff who'd ever harmed him and burned down the school with them in it. It took most of the week to find them all, but they perished together the night before the USJ. Shouta didn't even plan for it but it worked in his favor that the news quickly forgot about the accidental burnt-down middle school and death of the teachers during a staff meeting in lieu of a villain attack at U.A.. Shouta wanted to go after all of the kids who hurt his future mate too but Shouta understood that they were just kids and were only partly at fault. Instead, he sent each and every one of them threatening emails. And he knows that they received the messages loud and clear because Bakugou stopped harassing Izuku after the battle trials.

The attack on the USJ helped him out in another way too. It made him realize something important he forgot. How young his future mate was. Honestly to him, he didn't care about it, his quirk status, or that they were both omegas but other people would and they would judge Izuku on it. He didn't want to ruin his future mate's chances of being a hero. And he'd only known him for less than a week but knew he was going to be an amazing hero if given the opportunity. Shouta couldn't be the reason he failed at his dream. So he had to wait until he had already established a reputation or graduated. He should be able to hold himself back from claiming his future mate and watch from the sidelines until then. He was an omega after all and they have more impulse control than alphas. Well, unless another person tried to court Izuku. Then he didn't mind losing control if it solved the problem.

What he didn't account for though was that his future mate would start approaching him instead. Just spending more time together outside of class, and watching Izuku encourage his unusual sleeping habits already had him slipping slightly.

Which lead to Shouta covering his future mate with at least 25 GPS trackers. Some might say that that amount was unnecessary, but Shouta wasn't taking any chances. What happens if he placed only 1 and it got destroyed? It was illogical to only give him 1.

Less than a month later, his point was proven during the internships when Shouta got an alert that more than 3 of them were no longer transmitting. And then Shouta panicked when he saw that Izuku's current location was in the hospital. So of course he rushed there to find that his little omega had fought Stain! Yeah, no. Shouta realized that just GPS trackers were not going to cut it. So when the internship week was over, Shouta added more trackers, many, many bugs, and even a few health monitors on him, his belongings, and even in his room in his mom's apartment.

That was how he overheard Izuku's love for him. He was shocked at first but it quickly changed into pure excitement as one of his signature grins appeared on his face. It didn't look like Shouta was going to have to court his future mate at all. He was already his! And all he had to do was wait until he was slightly older.

However, it didn't seem like Izuku had the same idea because he planned on leaving Shouta gifts. Which could easily be viewed as courting gifts. Shouta wanted to scold his future mate for his idiocy. Anyone could have seen him or looked at the cameras. But he didn't. Instead, he erased the camera footage and didn't comment on them.

The other thing his future mate started doing was spying on him in the shower. But Shouta couldn't really scold him for that or he would be a hypocrite. And he wasn't talking about the numerous trackers. Oh no. Shouta actually followed Izuku around sometimes. Usually, it was in the mornings right after his patrols were over when Izuku was out running. A few times Izuku's even turned and stared in his direction. He couldn't have been more proud of his future mate for almost spotting him. What a great hero he was going to be.

One day, Shouta was out and about on his usual errands when he came across the cutest handmade stuffy he'd ever seen. The green bunny had the most adorable wide green eyes, with fluffy curly fur, and the squishiest body he'd ever seen. It had such an uncanny resemblance to his Izuku that he couldn't let anyone else have it. He instantly snatched it up and took it home.

After a lot of debate, he decided to share his find with his future mate. He was a little sad to part with it but he knew that he would see it again one day. Plus, it could never replace the real thing. And he took immense joy in watching Izuku, from the U.A. cameras he hacked into, open his gift and take it home with him.

When his hell class decided to take a trip to the mall, Shouta had a bad feeling, so he went with them. And he was very glad he did. He was sitting outside the mall waiting for them to finish and listening to one of the bugs he planted on Izuku (he loved doing that) when a familiar voice drifted over the line. He barely had time to pull up Izuku's location before he was racing towards him. Luckily, he was wearing scent blockers he didn't spread panic through the mall with his worry and arrived in time to save Izuku. But unluckily, Shigaraki escaped so Shouta didn't have time to kill arrest him.

He hoped that that would be the last incident where his future mate's life was in danger but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Because the summer camp was attacked by the League too. This time though he wasn't going to let Izuku face the danger. So when his future mate came barreling towards him along with the pup Kota, he locked them in the building where he could be safe from any more harm. Shouta would have liked that he didn't even have to fight at all, but at least he didn't get too hurt.

After the fight was over and Izuku, along with most of Class-1A, were taken to the hospital, Shouta focused his attention on helping find Bakugou. Even if Shouta thought that this would be a prime opportunity to get rid of one of Izuku's former bullies, he knew that Izuku would be sad if the alpha was hurt. So, he turns his attention off of his future mate believing he was safe in the hospital. Only to later find out that he snuck off during U.A.'s public apology broadcast! Which was one of the only times Shouta wasn't constantly monitoring the trackers! What a problem mate! Always getting into the most dangerous scenarios on purpose. But Shouta loved him for it anyway.

A quick trip to all his students' homes and a move later, found Shouta struggling to live in the 1-A dorm with his hell class. On one side, Shouta hated it. He didn't want to live with his students! He valued his privacy and silence. Sure he'd grown attached to them but not this much. But on the other hand, one of his students was his future mate. He couldn't be more excited to live in the same space and to watch him in person, not just through a camera, whenever he wants. And Shouta spent much of the summer break doing that from the vents whenever he wasn't on duty because it was especially easy to remain undetected due to how tired Izuku was from training every day.

All too soon the provisional hero license exam rolls around and he found himself facing Ms. Joke. The annoying Alpha just wouldn't take a hint, or more like a million direct 'no's both verbally and with his scent. He'd resigned himself to her presence when his knight with fluffy green hair saved him. Shouta definitely didn't mind his future mate protecting him from this threat. And then, he proceeded to pass the exam with flying colors. Shouta couldn't be more proud of him.

That's when Shouta realized he was beginning to crack. He may not enjoy being helpless, but Izuku protecting him like that made his omega happy. Before, it was mostly just him wanting the younger omega. But with both working together, his resolve might break.

So he did the only thing he could think of, he hid. He couldn't do it all of the time but he tried. However, bit by bit Shouta cracked. From being present in the living room, to staying for movie night, and even to falling asleep on the couch, he spent more and more time than he originally intended on the first floor and by extension with Izuku, who seemed to be getting bolder and bolder by the day.

Which was why Shouta wasn't surprised when his clothes started disappearing. However, he was surprised when Izuku made a cat plushy out of them. He never saw that coming. But maybe he should have. Bunny Izuku needed a mate of their own after all and cat Shouta fitted the bill perfectly, just like them. And Shouta always made sure that cat Shouta never ran out of his scent. He couldn't have Izuku forgetting what he smelled like now could he?

Nor does he want to either. He loved Izuku's scent too so if Izuku was stealing his clothes, Shouta found that it was only fair if he was allowed to do the same.

With Shouta always watching Izuku so closely, he easily noticed when his deminer changed. But like he did with all of his students, he didn't comment on it. Most people didn't like when others pointed out that their heats or ruts were coming. Shouta was a little excited about it though. Because the day after he was definitely going to call off work so he could spend that time watching Izuku from the vents.

The next night he was making his evening rounds right after curfew like every other night when he passed Izuku's room. But unlike every other night, he heard Izuku calling out to him. Worried, Shouta crept a little closer to the door in case there was an emergency. But that turned out to be a bad idea because the cracks under Izuku's door allowed Shouta to smell his future mate. He only had a second to realize that the dorm room doors would need to be fixed to be fully sealed before waves of heat wracked his body. Shouta stumbled but managed to stay up by bracing himself against the wall beside Izuku's door. Darn it! He knew what this was. It was a sign of his heat. But it wasn't due for another month. What could have caused this? He inhaled to calm himself so he could think only to get another whiff of his future mate and have his instincts scream at him to 'Claim his mate right now!'. But no, he shouldn't. Not until Izuku was older. To protect his hero career and him from the media. Those vultures will sink their claws into any limelight hero that they could find.

...But didn't he overhear that Izuku wanted to be an underground hero just like him? Underground heroes, whom the media aren't legally allowed to talk about?

Ah! Shouta felt like an idiot! He thought he knew everything about his future mate but he had forgotten one of the most important things. A thing he should have known regardless of whether Izuku was going to be his mate or not he was also his student. But didn't that mean that there was no reason for Shouta to protect Izuku anymore? That seemed like the case. So, did that mean that they could be mates without any problems now? That Shouta didn't have to hold himself back anymore? That he could become Izuku's mate whenever he wanted? That sounded like the case so it would be illogical to wait any longer. Especially if they were both in heat! So, with that thought in mind, Shouta knocked on Izuku's door.

And what followed was one the most memorable and happiest nights of his life.

Because Izuku was now Shouta's! And Shouta was Izuku's!

That though made Shouta purr again as he nuzzled into Izuku's hair. He wanted to stay up to watch his mate sleep soundly some more, to know that he was in his arms, but he was still too tired to stay awake from everything they did while in heat. So, he does the next best thing and pulls his mate impossibly tighter against his body and closes his eyes. He drifts off to sleep the same way he woke up: content, warm, and in love while smelling the sweet strawberry scent of his omega mate.

Notes:

Honestly, I had way to many ideas for short snippets that, unfortunately, most of them got summarized instead which is why there's barely any dialogue.

Yandere:
I based Izuku off of a worship yandere and Shouta a stalker, however, other types bled through as well. But mostly, Shouta was more intense then Izuku.

The Title:
Both Izuku and Shouta are yanderes and omegas so the title could be talking about either one. I though it was cool.

The Scents:
Shouta's smells like chamomile because I though it would be funny since tea is like the opposite of coffee sort of. Then I was like: 'certain teas make you sleepy and Shouta is always tired so what if he gave off a sleepy scent?' Chamomile was the first tea that came to my mind and when I read that it smelled like apples I though it was perfect because then Eri would enjoy his scent that much more. So then I looked up what paired well with chamomile tea and strawberries popped up. And like sometimes Izuku looks like a strawberry with his green hair, freckles that look like seeds, and his bright red face when he blushes so it was like fate.

I even had a whole paragraph about how Izuku realized that Shouta's chamomile scent was the reason he was sleepy all the time but scraped it because I couldn't find somewhere to put it and already had so much. I hadn't decided yet if it was because the smell of himself makes him sleepy, or he was immune to it and found it harder to fall asleep as a result.

I love hearing from you all!
