Work Text:
He should've listened to Ussop when he tried to explain to him how Luffy deals with alliances, but alas Trafalgar D. Law was too unbothered to listen and now here he was, having to see his crew mingle with the Straw Hats and the Kid crew.
Something about the loud music being played by the living skeleton and how drunk most of them were did amuse Trafalgar but his face remained stoic as he drank from his mug.
For Trafalgar the straw hats were lunatics, they must've been to challenge the government and nobles the way they did, but he admired that as well and admired their tenacity and strength.
They were a family, just like his crew was to him, he knew those lunatics would do anything for their captain, Luffy.
However, since the start of their alliance, there's been one of the straw hats who's been very vocal about why she was against their alliance.
"And you wrote all those published books in two years?!" Bepo asked, the polar bear almost had stars in his eyes while he spoke with such excitement.
Blair chuckled but she covered her lips with her hand in a seemingly shy fashion.
Blair McIntyre had joined the straw hats from the very beginning, after running from her family back in the north blue she met Luffy, Zoro, and Coby, the moment Luffy saw her writing he knew she was the person he needed to keep up with their adventures and publish a memoir of the king of the pirates and his crew.
Not only a novelist, Blair comes from an infamous clan of archeologists, archeologists who steal and sell their findings as well as do other unspeakable acts, Despite her decision to run away when she turned eight her real dream was to be a famous novelist.
Now, after two years, not only is she a published author but she has also become a strong fighter and inventor.
"I read one of your novels, it was so good it had me wanting more!" Penguin said with a slight blush as he rubbed his head "Oh guys are very sweet... unlike some people..." his late words came with a nasty glare towards Trafalgar Law, who sat in his spot unbothered as always.
For Blair both Kid and Trafalgar couldn't be trusted in her eyes, she remembers Sabaody very well and where they were while she and Cammie were on stage or why was Trafalgar Law in Punk Hazard in the first place.
Trafalgar remembers the day they crossed paths with the straw hats, the curious glances of Blair, how she made her point clear and how Luffy responded, how although she accepted what her captain wanted it was as if she made herself a promise to irritate Trafalgar anyway she could.
It wasn't like he didn't instigate her either as pissing her off amused him but lately, their arguments have taken deeper jabs at each other, deeper cuts that had them ignoring each other ever since.
Her earlier words were the first time she acknowledged his existence in three days... not that he was counting them...
If he was honest with himself this whole thing had stopped being fun, and now it was irritating him, yet he wasn't sure what was bothering him, if they fighting or her ignoring him, what was bothering him? Was it that while she laughed with the others she could only offer him her judgmental frowns?
What was bothering him, deep within, her irritating condescending comments towards him with that bitter smear on her lips while she gave her best phrases to the others?
What was bothering Trafalgar D. Law?
He shifted where he was sitting, fanning his chest with his shirt for a bit, feeling uncomfortably warm suddenly.
His grey eye chased her, now she was drinking while his crew surrounded her and praised her, and she seemed to love their adoring attention since she was all smiles, a disapproving sound choking in his throat, it was so hot tonight and he was starting to feel irritable.
Brook began to play a music Trafalgar recognized from the north blue, all the pirates began to either clap or sing along.
Trafalgar saw as Sanji offered Blair to dance and how she didn't hesitate to accept, that she would've probably blown him off if he had asked her to dance... not that he cared, he doesn't...
"Stupid sweat..." Trafalgar whispered under his breath as he tried to watch Blair and Sanji dance, his eye caught something, something that set something within him loose.
She wasn't covering her laughter or smile with Sanji, she was comfortable with him, she felt safe enough to not hide her smile, him she wouldn't argue, with him she was trusting, with no scolds, no bitterness, no, with Sanji she seemed at home...
He shifted in his spot again, his heart beating at a rhythmic beat he didn't understand, but it angered him, he was angry over it, surely that's what was bothering him, even making his skin itch.
After Sanji and Blair had stopped dancing Sanji vowed for Blair, holding her hand as he kissed her knuckles, making Blair smile again.
A sharp heartbeat struck Trafalgar, making his eyes wide, was he having a heart attack? But he didn't have any other symptoms, no that wasn't it, why was he feeling this way, why was he so angry?
One glance at Blair and he knew what was going on, but that couldn't be right, why would he...
He heard Blair speaking, saying something about being exhausted and how she just needed a glass of water before seeing her walking towards the kitchen where she disappeared.
Time must've stopped because he couldn't breathe, he was fuming and it started breaking that stoic stare of his, even his chest felt tight, he had to put a solution to this bullshit he was feeling.
"Hey watch it!" Penguin complained as Law stood up and almost bumped into his, who was still sitting, but he realized his captain was upset over something.
"Captain?..." Bepo tried to call out for Trafalgar but he didn't even flinch, his eyes staring directly towards the door that led to the kitchen, one thing alone in his mind as he walked through the door.
Unaware of his presence Blair finished the water she had poured herself, leaving the mug in the sink for whoever had dishes duty tonight.
Turning to face the door made her flinch as she finally realized she wasn't alone, she couldn't hide her disdain for him but once in a while she would put that aside "You need anything?" She asked politely, which he seemed to care very little for.
"You're annoying... did you know that?..." Trafalgar said as he began to walk towards the counter that divided the kitchen from the dining area, grey eyes that refused to let her go, making her uncomfortable.
"I'll never be nice to you ever again," she said with a dry laugh. "Why are you stalking me? What did I do now, huh?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, of course, she was used to their bitter arguments mid-battles or at any time of the day really, but the look in his eyes seemed different than all the other times they'd argued.
"You never do anything right, not everything revolves around you, I'm just sweating that's all" he snapped, how dare she see right through him and how could she do that, why was he being so transparent about his feelings, no this couldn’t be happening, he better control himself before he does something stupid.
"Why don't you just leave me alone?!" He was angry, angrier than she'd ever seen him and she'd seen his anger plenty of times before, so why was he so irritable right now? She was confused yet curious.
However she scuffed, and after giving him one of her rather humorless smirks she spoke "Do I need to remind you it was you who came into the kitchen spitting insults at me? Your audacity knows no end, Trafalgar Law" She said his name with such bitterness that it only fueled his irrational anger.
His hands clenched into fists as he stepped closer to her, the scowl on his face much more evident than before, he was almost trembling with anger and he hated how easy it was for her to control how he felt, was he losing his mind? He had to be to be wearing his emotions on his sleeves.
"Your stupidity alone pisses me off, if you can't take a hint that's on you" he threw his words at her and she didn't wait to throw hers back "I don't know what exactly crawled up your ass but if anyone needs to back off it's you!".
Her attempt to walk away was spoiled by him grabbing her wrist, she stared at his strong grip on her wrist before she looked into his eyes with her raging fury.
"Are you out of your mind?!" She yelled but he didn't budge "Oh I'm sorry, I thought this is what you wanted, no? Everyone's attention? All eyes on you, you love it, don't you? To have them all wrapped around your fingers drooling all over you?!" His words made no sense to her and she shook her head "What are you even talking about?!" "You know exactly what I mean!" He shouted back, making her eyes widen.
Realization hit her like a brick, but this couldn’t be possible, why on earth would he be jealous if anyone interacted with her?...
Unless...
Her heart ached, this couldn’t be happening, the sudden urge to run away crept up on her as she stared into his eyes "Let go of me..." something in him snapped when he heard her demanding him to release her arm, something that made it hard to breathe.
With a quick swift, he had her against a wall within seconds, making her grunt as her back impacted the wood before her widened eyes looked at him "What are you doing?!" She asked in a panic.
"Shut up!" He yelled, making her quiet while he gave her the coldest of stares, why couldn't everything just be normal between them and why was she making him feel this way... why wasn't she feeling the same way?!
She wanted to give him a piece of her mind, tell him off, insult him, and fight back somehow but she couldn't, even when her lips parted nothing came out, she was scared that if she moved it'd get him to be closer to her.
"You need to control yourself and let me go..." her voice was but a whisper, he could feel her body trembling as he pressed his body and hers together, hearing her breath hitch, her lips quiver, could she feel the same as he was feeling?
His skin was burning him alive, his chest rising and falling evenly with her breathing, he wanted to taste her lips, wanted to feel her against him, he couldn't breathe, the room felt like it was spinning, surely he was losing it.
When he leaned his face towards her she looked away, but he caught her lips trembling, his nose rested against her cheek while he breathed in and out harshly.
The grip his hands had on her arms was strong and tight, keeping her in place.
"I fucking hate you..." he whispered against her skin, but his eyes kept glancing towards her lips while she made a soft whimpering noise, closing her eyes, her heart was beating so fast she could feel it in her throat.
"Get away from me" she demanded but he knew now that she must feel as overwhelmed as he did and he wanted to drag those words out of her even if it was the last thing he did.
He could feel it, the agonizing conflict between his mind and his heart, he couldn't take it anymore, to hold back on his desire for her was gonna kill him he was damn sure.
He let her go, releasing her from his grip before he watched her face, twisting with the same agony he was feeling, her mind a chaos of thoughts while one triumphant over the others, ran away and didn't look back.
He watched as she did exactly that, she ran out the kitchen door, running and not paying attention if anyone called for her, she had to hide, protect herself from these feelings.
She couldn't feel this way towards him, anyone but him.
If he didn't do the same, feeling like he needed to reject these emotions, he couldn't give in and he knew that if he kept looking at her he would lose.
He couldn't feel this way towards her, anyone but her.
The following days were tenser than ever and everyone could feel it, the worst part was that both Blair and Trafalgar wouldn't acknowledge each other which meant no arguments between them either, everyone had come to get used to them, and being without them felt odd.
For Blair she focused on her writing, archiving their adventures so far while also working on her fifth novel, she would spend hours inside the library and be only seen during breakfast or dinner.
Meanwhile, the heart pirates still visited the straw hats as they sailed side by side, but it was obvious Trafalgar didn't wanna be there, Robin caught him once glancing at the library and chuckled to herself.
It was deep at night when Trafalgar was on the Thousand Sunny deck, he couldn't go to sleep that night or rest at all so he was leaning against the railing of the Sunny while he stared out to the ocean.
It was as if he was a statue set in stone, staring blankly at the horizon with an empty gaze, his eyes focused on something that he couldn't even describe to himself.
The wind brushed against his face and he could smell the salty sea air, it was calming, yet he still felt like he was missing something.
He stayed like that until the sound of footsteps made him turn around to look who it was.
Blair, who couldn't sleep either, was now walking down the stairs that led towards the deck, she couldn't miss him, he was the first thing she saw once she reached the deck, it was as if destiny had masterminded a plan to force them to speak.
"Can't sleep?" He said as she stood before him, she shrugged as she looked towards the moon, that soft moonlight illuminated her face and her eyes, making her look like an angel, he almost cried at her beauty, his stomach flipping, those feelings of him are alive and well and he could feel it on his skin.
"Neither can you?" She asked before he shook his head, looking at the sea as well, taking in how calm the sea was and how clear the skies were.
Then silence fell between them as if none of them knew what to say or even how to start the conversation they should've ages ago.
It was she who looked at him, watching the moonlight contoured his face since he wasn't wearing his hat, he was handsome, sure, but this was more than physical attraction when it was killing her alive.
"You scare me" she whispered and even with the sea breeze hitting his ears he heard her loud and clear.
He moved closer to her, so close without even realizing it and he wasn't even sure if it was all his doing or if she was tugging at his heartstrings to move him.
His mind was a mess as he tried to focus on what she said and what to say but he could barely even form coherent sentences because of how disoriented he felt, his grey eyes looking into her blue ones as if searching for the words to say.
Her treacherous heart leaped as he approached her, such a human organ, as it bled so easily for him.
"This thing you and I have, whatever you want to call it... it terrifies me..." Admitting this felt so heavy to do, he could see how hard this was for her but she was braver than him for confessing what he couldn't.
He couldn't bring himself to say anything, staring at her still while his mind was riddled with desire and longing for her, if he dared to move he would break the walls he put around himself, walls he knew he would never be able to rebuild if he lets her in.
"Please say something..." Her voice was the sweetest poison getting injected into his bloodstream, making him weak and strong simultaneously.
"Say you hate me, say I'm a burden, that I annoy you, that you can't stand my presence... push me away, reject me!... do something!" Her words were interrupted by his hands grabbing her face, time slowed down at that moment as he pulled her in, his hungry lips colliding with hers.
She was the air he needed, the warmth he sought, the taste he dreamed of, her lips so soft he wanted to stain them with his till they bleed.
Her arms held him in an embrace as her hands were pressed against his back, holding him, cherishing him, tasting him as she moaned into the kiss which caused him to pin her against the railing, getting lost for a while till he pulled away from her lips yet rested his forehead against hers as they panted harshly.
"How can I hate you when your eyes match mine..." he whispered as his lips lingered so close to hers she could feel his breath as he spoke "I wanna crush you against a wall and kiss you till we pass out, you have no idea the things you're voice alone make me feel, the things I wanna do to you..." she shook his head as he chuckled, dripping with desire.
"There's a part of me that's closed off to protect myself that's telling me I shouldn't be doing this but I'm done paying attention to that part, I need you..." his words made her skin flutter with goosebumps, to be desired like this, could this be a dream?.
"I know you know what I'm feeling..." he said and with all honesty, she nodded I wanna hate you... But I can't..." she whispered and he had to hold himself back from kissing those lips that quivered with fear but there was nothing in this world that could stop him as he pulled her into another kiss, sweeter and softer for a moment then hungry all over again that by the time he was done kissing her her lips where raw, rosy and puffy, leaving them more kissable than before.
"To think I thought those lips of yours hated me when they've been mine all along..."
She's the one who can't hold herself back now, as her hands cupped each side of his face and she can see that devilish smirk on his face before she kisses him.
It's so easy to kiss her, so natural it feels the same as breathing and while he kissed her like this his hands rested on her hips, squeezing slightly while his body pressed itself against hers.
Her hands had sneaked through the strings of his hair, gingerly curling through them before she tugged on them, she heard a moan escape him, letting her know how he was truly feeling.
"We can't keep this up here or I will throw you onto the floor, rip your clothes and fuck you right here..." his words were whispered against her lips, and the shiver that ran down her spine made her ache with need as she looked into his eyes.
"My cabin is the closest..." she said like she could read his mind. Swiftly, he scooped her over his shoulder, making her giggle as he smirked with a dark chuckle, carrying her up the stairs.
He was careful to open her door and was even more careful when he closed it, throwing her into the bed and making her laugh before she shushed herself and him.
"We need to be quiet..." she said as he crawled over her with that devilish smirk she saw before "Darling the only one who's gonna have to be quiet is you, can you do that for me?" His lips caressed hers before he moved to kiss her neck, making her gasp.
"I'll... I'll try..." he chuckled against her neck before he moved to her left ear "Promises promises... we'll see won't we..." his words brushed her ear, making her smirk.
He looked down her body as his left hand snuck underneath the loose light blue shirt she had been wearing to bed, his hand was cold and it made her back ache while he touched her chest, his thumb teasing her nipple as his lips kissed her neck.
"Wish I could mark you so everyone knows you're mine... I want them to back off, it drives me crazy to see them all over you, touching who's mine..." he whispered against her ear while he relentlessly teased her breasts, watching her skin blushing as her breath hitched like before, he obsessed with her, obsessed with her skin and her voice, he wonders how his name sounds if she moans it.
"I knew you were jealous..." she whispered out of breath "Can you blame me?" The panic in his voice made her chuckle but soon she gasped as he nibbled on her neck "Let them know you belong to me... I don't care..." he grunted.
His jealousy was silly to her, but something deep inside her loved it, the overprotective nature of it and the possessiveness, it made her weak.
"I've barely touched you and you're already trembling..." Law whispered as his hand caressed her skin from her stomach to between her legs, touching her as he smirked "And wet too..." she gasped, covering her mouth as he kept teasing her "Mm-mm... don't cover your face... I need to see you...".
Her cheeks were so red and her eyes seemed to beg him for more but Law had to be patient, he wanted to enjoy her, all of her.
His hand sneaked into her panties where he touched her skin to skin, her gasp making him smirk when he played with her clit "Looks like you were needing more than a kiss all along..." "Stop teasing me" Her protest made him smirk as he kissed her cheek "Never..." he whispered before kissing her lips.
He nuzzled her cheek with his nose while doing repeated circles against her clit, watching her fight her moans but it was an effortless battle as she kept moaning quietly.
"Remember, keep it down or your friends will know you're in bed with the enemy." His words only made her shiver even more, especially when he teased her parted entrance as she bit down her lower lip just to keep herself from moaning too loudly.
Two fingers slid in, he captured her lips before she could moan out loud, drinking in her sweet sounds while he trusted said fingers in and out at a slow pace.
He wanted her to enjoy this, wanted to take it all in, and showed her that he couldn't care less about their arguments when this is how much he feels for her.
He had no idea where this night would take them but that's a question for another day.
His pace didn't increase and she was beginning to feel even more needy as she rocked her hips against his hand movements "So impatient..." he whispered "Look who's talking... mister jealousy..." she teased back, making him chuckle.
"Quiet..." he said as he picked up the pace, fingering her faster while pressing down her clit, she had to pull him down and kiss him before she would scream.
She's sure she can't hold herself back even if she tries, his pace is so resilient she can feel herself seconds away from a climax.
He felt how her walls contracted, how easily she sucked in his fingers wanting more "Don't hold back, I wanna see you..." he said, making her whimper as her entire body shook, her climax even making her eyes water.
"Look at you... same lips that curse my name now moan it... fucking beautiful..."
She was a panting mess, with a soft smile on her face "Oh shut up" she chuckled as she pulled him down again, kissing him hard once more.
His body was soon pressed against her, just perfectly rested between her legs, kissing her with that hunger of his while his hands held her hips, squeezing her skin, enjoying how they felt in his hands.
"You need to take this off..." she said while tugging on the collar of his shirt "Undress me then..." he said while he held himself up, giving her the space necessary to do as she wanted.
Soon enough she had unbuttoned his shirt, revealing the rest of his tattooed body.
When he had finally thrown his shirt away he softly gasped once he felt her fingers tracing the shape of the tattoo on his chest "I've always wanted to do this..." she confessed as her eyes looked at his.
He had that look in his eyes she'd caught on him before, but now she knew the meaning of it, she finally understood.
He's looking at her like she's the sunlight, she's not used to such adoration but it made her heart beat harder than before.
His hand rested on her cheek as he leaned towards her face "Let me guess, you've dreamt of me too?" His teasing made her laugh but before she could say anything he kissed her, silencing her sarcasm.
With his free hand, he reached for his jeans, undoing the button and zipper before pulling them down, along his boxers.
She gasped the moment his tip teased her entrance, squirming as she looked at him with a pleading in her eyes.
"Law?..." she moans and he has to physically hold himself from pushing himself into her in one go, but he's enjoying teasing her too much, watching her flustered, watching her squirm, she looks so pretty like this, panting softly like she was.
"Do you need me inside you, darling?..." she didn't hesitate when she nodded and that made him smirk "Good because my attempt to hold back is running low..."
Another gasp, this time from both of them as he thrusts himself inside her, her walls adjusted to him like they were made him as he buried his face into her neck and began to move, in and out, his pace slow yet hard as she cling to his body.
"Careful, we just started and I can feel you almost coming" Law teased while he spoke against her ear, watching her pant and moan.
"It's your fault... for being so big... and..." She couldn't continue talking as her moans hijacked her words, and he wasn't one to complain as she looked so pretty trying to moan quietly.
"What will the others think if they heard you..." he grunted against her ear "Maybe the hickey on your neck isn't enough... and if they hear you scream my name... maybe that's what we need...".
She was out of this world, in some realm floating in ecstasy to even respond to him "But it's ok... it's our secret... you're mine, all mine...".
She smirked, shaking her head but before she could tease him and tell him she wasn't his hand held her by her neck, making her look into his eyes as he continued to thrust.
"Don't test me, Blair...." he grunted lowly as he began to thrust even harder, making her tremble and moan.
"You... Are... Mine..." he accentuated each word with strong thrusts, making her whisper as she felt her body losing control, a slow climax hitting her out of nowhere as she covered her mouth from screaming.
The bastard couldn't stop smirking, just watching her lack of control made him feel victorious.
As she quivered with the effects of her climax she felt him pull out, hearing her complain made him chuckle.
"Can't come inside you, darling..." he said as he began to work his hand around his erection.
"Let me help you" she hummed as she wrapped his arms around his neck, making him shiver "How?..." he whispered as he felt her smirking against his ear.
"I'm yours..." she moaned quietly for him "My skin is yours... my soul is yours, my heart belongs to you, all yours..." She felt his breath hitching as he held on to her hard while he came against her stomach, panting against her neck as he melted into her arms.
For a while the two just stayed like this, holding each other as the sea was the only thing it could be heard.
"I am in love with you..." he finally broke the silence and it made her smile "And I love you... Raccoon eyes..." she teased, making him tickle her in retaliation, she covered her mouth so she wouldn't laugh too loudly.
The two rested on her bed all night, embracing each other, tomorrow they'll have questions to answer but for tonight all that mattered was the two of them and the sound of the sea.
