Chapter 1: Self Proclaimed God

Chapter Text

Report - Jujutsu High, Tokyo: 2006

“The star plasma vessel?” Suguru said, placing his hand lightly on his chin. Yaga nodded. “Yes, escort her to Tengen-sama.” Suguru looked to his left and saw Satoru rolling his eyes, groaning dramatically, “why must we escort some brat do Tengen-sama?!” Satoru said, leaning back in his chair.

“If you don’t,” Yaga said, “Tengen-sama might evolve to become an enemy of humanity.”

Yaga turned his computer around, Geto and Gojo leaned in to get a better look. “There’s the Curse User group ‘Q’ and the Stars Religious group, time vessel association.” Yaga stated, “technically we should assign a higher up to do this but you two will do the trick for now.”

“Don’t worry! We’ll be fine,” Satoru said, peering down from his sunglasses, “after all, we’re the strongest.”

After getting more information, both boys began to take their leave, Satoru got out of his chair and bounded for the door, Suguru sighed at his energetic friend, unable to help a small smile appearing on his face. Suguru then followed the other outside to a couple of vending machines around the corner.

“Suguru~!” The annoyingly flirty voice of Gojo Satoru fluttered around the room. “This should be an easy mission!” Gojo said, sipping a can of cola before pressing another button, bending down grabbing the other can, tossing it to Suguru. “You know what I’ve always wondered!” He said, “why we need to even lower a vail in the first place.” He laughed. Suguru joined Satoru’s laughter, “idiot,” he said. “It’s to protect them, ordinary citizens shouldn’t see us using jujutsu.”

“That doesn’t make sense!” Satoru whined. Suguru said calmly; “it’s our job to protect the weak. We were given this power to do just that.”

“Is that your ideological bullshit?” Satoru said in a playful-ish tone, “I don’t wanna hear any of it!” He words were rude but he still tossed a small candy at Suguru. The other man had told him about how excruciatingly difficult it was to constantly consume curses. So Satoru made it a habit to share his candy, especially the ones that had a lot of strong flavor.

Suguru sighed, popping the candy in his mouth, “thanks,” he made a small laugh, “I can't believe you eat curses, ew.” Satoru stuck out his tongue. “Come on, we should get going soon.” Suguru said, Satoru nodded. They travelled by train and soon they were in Tokyo looking for the hotel Riko Amanai was at.

The streets were pretty clear so they didn’t need to deal with evacuation. It would be impossible to do, considering they were in such a large open area. Suguru looked at his phone for the hotel’s address, meanwhile Satoru sipped his cola. “alright!” Satoru said, “it’s there.”

“you go there, I’ll be here.” Suguru nodded and walked away, they both picked up their phones, calling each other. “I can’t believe we have to babysit some brat.” Satoru continued to complain. “You really should work on being more humble.” Suguru scolded. “Yeah yeah!” Satoru said. “Whatever!” Suguru sighed, “let’s talk about this more later-“ but before he could finish his sentence the door exploded.

Suguru was blown backwards, luckily he saved himself with his technique, “you alive?” Satoru asked. “Yeah, I am for now.” He replied back. “Oh,” he said as he was a figure falling from a separate building. “I’ll call you back.”

Suguru easily saved Riko and himself, and the men from the ‘Q’ group. Satoru joined him in the room with the unconscious Riko. Satoru held her in his arms as Suguru knocked a member of Q out, talking a photo of himself that would most likely make it into their yearbook. “Oh,” Satoru said, “she’s awake.” Suguru stood and looked his way, the girl blinked before she shouted, slapping Satoru in the face. Suguru couldn’t help his laughter. “You brat!” Satoru said, “Suguru, help me would ya?”

Suguru and Satoru proceeded to mess with the younger girl before Kuroi, her caretaker, entered. Then, to their displeasure, Riko started to spout some nonsense about being Tengen-sama and Tengen-sama being her… Suguru was very happy to just ignore. “Geez.” Satoru sighed, “how are you making any friends in school with a personality like that??”

“I have plenty of friends!” Riko snapped, “wait- Kuroi! School-! I have school!”

Riko and Kuroi started to head down stairs, Suguru and Satoru followed, talking to each other quietly, “are you sure she would go to school?” Satoru asked, “isn’t it safer just to bring her back to Jujutsu High?” Suguru nodded, “technically yes, but her orders are Tengen-sama’s and we’re meant to do whatever she asks for.” Satoru looked at him with a skeptical look, “and she’s asking to go to school?” Suguru laughed again, lightly elbowing him. “I guess so.”

Then later, here they both were, fighting random members of Q and the Star Religious Group. In Riko’s school.

“Let’s split up!” Suguru said, “Satoru go to the chapel, me and Kuroi will split up and check the classrooms.” They all nodded, Satoru rushed to the chapel, busting the doors open, “Riko-Chan!” He shouted, “we have to go!”

“Wh-whaaaat?!” Riko gasped, “didn’t I tell you not to show up?!” Satoru posed for the girls as the they were squealing before he grabbed Riko and rushed outside.

Satoru displayed a great amount of power after fighting a odd masked man with a paper bag over his head. Suguru fights an old man and Kuroi gets kidnapped. Then, after an extremely long day of fighting and rescuing Kuroi. They fly to Okinawa.

“Suguru!” Satoru purred, “come in the water! It’s really cooling!” He said, splaying Riko with a massive amount of water. Suguru politely declined, waving the book in his hand around, “I’m alright.” He said. Satoru pouted but continued to play in the water.

They spend the rest of the day in Okinawa. Visiting various places Riko wanted to visit. “Suguru, it’s kinda sad she’s gonna die.” Suguru nodded, “a bit harsh when you say it like that.” Satoru shrugged, “an uncomfortable truth, okay! Time to head back!” After a lot of stairs, they made it into the safe barrier of Jujutsu High… before Suguru Geto saw Gojo Satoru get stabbed, by a mysterious man.

“Satoru?!” Suguru said, rushing to his side, “are you alright?!” He asked, gently putting a hand onto Satoru’s shoulder. Satoru nodded, “I’m fine, seriously.” He said, “he missed my vital organs, it’s okay.” Suguru’s expression tenses, “okay.” He muttered, “I’ll fight this guy. You escort Riko.” Suguru said.

“Are you sure? He seemed powerful.” Satoru said. Suguru nodded, “I’ll be okay, we’re the strongest, aren’t we?” Satoru nodded, “okay. Be safe.”

“Well, what a touching moment.” The man known as Toji Fushiguro said. “I’m a little rusty, and now Gojo Satoru has left with Riko Amamai.” Toji sighed, “how unfortunate. You're not one of my targets, probably because you're too weak…”

Geto glared, he swiftly got into a fighting stance, two different curses appearing behind and infront of him. “Curse manipulation?” Toji said, “how fun, That’s pretty rare. I’ll make this quick- I need to catch up to your friends,”

Then in a split second. The invisible man lunged at Suguru, slicing a deep but into his side. Shit! He swore, I need to go on the defense and stall until Satoru gets back. All the miniature curses were defeated instantly, Suguru kept summoning more and more miniature curses to sacrifice, cutting those instead of him. Suguru dodged Toji’s attacks by a hair, he summoned his rainbow dragon, it flew at the muscular man, its mouth wide ready to consume him. It chomped down on Toji, containing him for a moment. Rainbow dragon flew into the air. If I can get him super high, he will die of the fall! And as he predicted, eventually Toji mangled rainbow dragon, but he came falling from the sky.

but he survived.

What?! How’s that possible?!  He didn’t have Rainbow dragon, and it would talk awhile for it to heal. Suguru wasn’t much for collecting curses for fun, after all they tasted horrible and he had trouble keeping up with all one thousand. Most of the curses Suguru had were forth or third grade. He had one special grade and six first grade curses. And he probably only had three hundred left. I can use the special grade to distract- wait. Where’d he go-

Wait! I’m not his target. He’s after… Riko and Satoru!

Suguru turned his head away, distracted for a split second and before he knew it; a cursed weapon stabbed into his gut. This time, it hit his vital organs. Shit! I thought he left! Suguru coughed out an immense amount of blood. He fell to his knees before falling flat on his chest. Even though it was clear he had lost, the man stabbed the weapon into his thigh, cutting down to his ankle and doing the same to his other leg. Suguru gasped in pain and at the shook. “I would’ve killed you if you did anything other than curse manipulation. But I don’t want any of the curses you stocked up running wild so you're alive for now.”

Toji Fushiguro then leisurely walked away, in the direction of Satoru and Riko. I’m sorry, Riko. Sorry… Satoru. “I wasn’t much help.” He laughed quietly before he coughed out more blood and fell unconscious. I’m sorry, Satoru.

**

Satoru and Riko stood in the dimly lit area. It was gloomy and boring.

“Do you want to keep on living, Riko?” Gojo asked, removing his sunglasses. Tossing them into the air, floating a few inches from him. His words were oddly considerate. If he was being honest he did not want Riko to die. “I… I was always treated differently. I knew what I would become in the future but I-… now that I’m here.”

Riko looked at the depressing wide area she was in, “I do. I want to make more friends, learn about the world!” Riko had tears rushing down from her eyes. “I want to experience everything! See everything! I can be free, live a normal life!” Her smile was a delight to see. Her smile brightened up the gloomy atmosphere of Tengen’s area. “I want to be free.”

Satoru held out a hand, “yeah!” Riko cried.

His Six Eyes. “Who’s there-?!”

 “I want to keep living-“

Bang.

“…”

Riko fell to the ground with a thump. “R-Riko-Chan …?” Gojo said, stuttering for the first time in his life. “Riko…?”

He looked down. And then he looked at the man entering Tengen’s area. “Alright, job done… or almost.” He then pointed his cursed tool at him.

“Why are you here?” He said he looked down at Riko but his mind was consumed with worry, worry for Suguru. If he’s down here… what happened to Suguru…?! “Suguru.” He breathed, “did you…”

Toji shrugged, “I’m not sure, I didn’t kill him with a final blow incase he’d release a tone of curses on accident, but he might bleed to death- or be paralyzed permanently. Give or take.” Satoru did not take that well. Suguru… his mind was going wild. Riko…? Suguru. Suguru. I need to get to Suguru- “hold still.” Satoru barely dodged an attack from Toji, he was too tired to properly activate his technique so he kept getting cut. Gojo coughed out blood, before Toji’s weapon stuck atop his head. I should’ve saved some of my strength! I can’t activate infinity…!

“Actually I might go back up and kill Geto, what do you think?” Toji said, pushing Satoru’s buttons even further, Satoru gave Toji a five second chance, a chance to slice his neck. Cutting his side and a cursed tool plunged into his gut. “Blue!” Satoru shouted, the air and materials around him were getting destroyed, and Satoru hoped Toji was also getting crushed by Blue. But once he released the technique, a spear with pre-imbedded cursed energy cut his chest. He fell backwards, staring at Toji who loomed above him with a sickening grin. “How did you dodge that?!” Satoru shouted.

“Shit.” Satoru sneered. “Your shit!”

Toji laughed, “yeah, right.” He grinned, “You're calling me shit, but you just lost to a monkey who can’t even use jujutsu.”

“Monkey.” He breathed, Satoru felt his eyes slowly closing. Slowly… closing. “Monkeys…”

Monkeys... Satoru thought to himself. He started to question all of his actions up to this moment, unsure if he was doing the right thing. The ungrateful beings that get in our way. Curses. The reason so many get hurt, so many that are close to me as well... The negative emotions create curses, the negative emotions of humans.

What if I just get rid of all humans?

Pull the weeds from the roots…

Suguru…

I can create a world perfect for Suguru.

Yes! I’ll kill all the monkeys to make a world fit for Suguru! He won't have to consume curses anymore!

He felt his body bubble, he felt sharp pain before the pain started to disappear, he moved his arms and legs. His eyes blinked open and he noticed Toji wasn’t there anymore. Reverse cursed technique, did I? Hahah, I did!

Where would Toji have gone? This fight is Not over! Where’d he run off too?!

Satoru stumbled as he rose, then he walked, then he ran, then he teleported. Then he was floating, staring at the sky waiting for Toji Fushiguro to leave the Star religious groups HQ. Gojo then heard footsteps. “What?” The stunned Toji said. “Ha, this for real?”

“Very real! Very alive!” Satoru said, “now, with my new ideals in mind. I’ll kill you, monkey.”

**

“Suguru?”

Suguru winced, he blinked a couple times before his eyes opened, the sun setting. He sat up slowly and saw Shoko staring at him. “Geto-kun, what happened? I healed you but it’s not a hundred percent yet, what happened? You could’ve been paralyzed or even died if I hadn’t been here.”

He shook his head, “I- I’ll tell you later. I need to find Satoru, he’s in danger.” Shoko looked confused, “I saw him a moment ago, he said he was going to visit some… star religion group, to retrieve some corpse? He looked a little weird, almost if he was high.” Corpse…?

“Fuck!” Suguru swore, he managed to stand and started running, “thanks for healing me!” He called back, “I’ll tell you what happened later!” “Okay,” he heard Shoko say from behind him, “just be safe.”

Geto ran to the star religious group's HQ. The first thing he saw, was a corpse. That’s the man who just cut me down… right? He got close, and no doubt. It was him. His arm was blown off, along with part of his torso. “Satoru, did you do this?” He said no nobody, looking at the hole in the wall that suspiciously matched the missing area from Toji’s body. Examine later, I need to find Satoru!

Suguru went from room to room. The light was dim and red and the air felt so crushing as well. A bitter taste was in his mouth,, “Satoru?!” He called. He rushed around before he abruptly stopped in front of a door, he heard clapping behind it. With shaky hands, he pushed the door open. Suguru opened the door to a bright room, many humans stood in white, clapping.

And in the middle, Satoru Gojo stood with the most sickened expression. His eyes locked with Suguru’s. In Satoru’s arms was the corpse of Riko Amamai. “Riko…?” Suguru whispered.

“Hey… Suguru.” Satoru suddenly said, "in the state I am in right now. I don’t think I’d really care; What if we kill all of these guys?”

Suguru shook his head, “no. No, even how… horrible they are-” Suguru saw them cheering, cheering at her death. He too felt crushed. “-You can’t kill them. We were born to protect them.”

Satoru stood in the middle of the room. Suguru stood in the other, the red light still shining on him when a bright light shone on Satoru. They stood in silence.

Report - Jujutsu High: 2007

Mission To escort the Star Plasma Vessel : Failed

“Satoru?” Suguru tried to get the attention of his friend. Satoru was in a daze, his infinity was up and Suguru couldn't get his attention. “Are you okay?” He sighed. Satoru blinked a couple of times before he looked up, “yeah?” Satoru said, looking confused.

“Are you okay?” Suguru asked again, “you’ve been very quiet recently.”

“I’m good!” Satoru said, “It's just the heat.”

Satoru was now the strongest, he went on missions alone now, so did Suguru. Satoru was visibly acting strange, but I can't figure out why. Suguru sighed. “I’m sorry, Satoru. I have to go, I’ll be back soon.”

“Where are you going?” Satoru asked. “Okinawa.” Suguru explained. “There’s a curse that Yaga wants me to, one get rid of and two, consume.” Satoru nodded. “See you.” Satoru then walked of without looking Suguru in the eye.

“Satoru?!” Suguru yelled after him, but Satoru was already gone.

He felt ashamed, Satoru felt ashamed that he thought that all humans should die. No, that's not why he felt ashamed; he felt ashamed because he wasn't sure if all humans should die or not.

And he felt ashamed because it was against Suguru’s ideals.

“Jujutsu sorcerers are born to protect the weak.” He remembers Suguru’s soft tone. Kindly, gently reminding him.  But in his heart. Somthing else dwells, something against what his one and only believes.

“Protect the weak my ass.” he mumbled before he took a sip of his cola. He leaned against the bench, listening to the slight buzzing of the vending machines. He closed his eyes trying to relax, then a cheerful voice floated through the room.

“Gojo?” Haibara said, sounding surprised. “How are you?”

“Good, watcha want?” Gojo said, making his signature grin. Haibara looked nervous but sat down next to him anyway. “Nothing, where's Geto-senpai?” Gojo sighed, “Suguru’s traveling to Okinawa.” He said. Haibara nodded, “I see.”

“Hey, Haibara.” Gojo suddenly said. “Do you ever think protecting the weak is tiring? Like you’d just give up and want to be a real estate agent or something?”

“Eh?” Haibara tilted his head, “the weak? Oh you mean non-jujutsu sorcerers.” Haibara didn’t take long to think about it, “no! Not at all, I just enjoy the feeling of helping others.” Gojo nodded, “oh, okay.” Haibara is too carefree to ask, too young. Gojo felt annoyed he didn’t get the answer he wanted, but whatever.

“Gojo-kun?” A cheerful woman approached, then she struck a pose. One hand behind her head and another on her hip, “what's your ideal woman?”

“Who are you?” Gojo asked. Suguru. He thought, not daring to say that aloud, no matter how bold he was.

“Women that eat a lot!” Haibara said, Gojo gave him a sideways look. “She’s a good person, don’t worry! I’m a great judge of character!” Says the man who sits next to me of all people.

“Excuse me! I’ll see you later!” Haibara got up and walked away smiling.

“He’s cute, your underclassman?” The woman asked. Gojo nodded, looking uninterested. “So, what's your type?” Gojo sighed, “hold it, answer my question first. Who are you?”

“Yuki Tsukumo, special grade sorcerer.” She said proudly. “Oh, yes I’ve heard of you.” Gojo said grinning, “The sorcerer who's good for nothing and never takes any missions.” Yuki’s bright smile faded.

“What?!” She gasped, “I never take missions because i’m trying to be more productive, instead of killing curses, I want to get rid of them as a whole.”

“A whole?” Gojo muttered, “Like, like pulling the weeks from the roots.”

Yuki nodded, “Yes and-”

Gojo interrupted her, “humans are the cause of curses, so why not just…”

“Kill all humans?” She grinned, “You're ambitious, technically that's the easiest way. But not the ideal way.” She paused, “Do you hate non-sorcerers, Gojo-kun?”

“...” Gojo kept quiet.

Yuki hummed, “in the future, you will have to choose.” She said, “you will have to choses whether you follow the path of hating non-sorcerers or continue to protect them.”

“Well anyway!” Yuki hopped up and stretched, “bye bye!” she then walked away, “tell Suguru I said hi! Ask him his type for me!” Satoru shouted back, “definitely not!” He leaned against the bench and sighed. “Monkeys…” He muttered. “Monkeys.”

**

“It’s not your fault, Nanami.” Gojo said, slumped against the wall. “Haibara was a good person.” He said. Comforting wasn't his specialty, but he knew he had to try.

“Suguru took the case. He was in Okinawa too,” He said, “It's okay.”

Nanami swore. “It was meant to be a grade one curse. But it could’ve actually been a special grade! This is exhausting.”

“It is…” Gojo said, “it is…”

Who am I protecting? Is the weak really worth it? Who is worth it? Who am I spending my time on? Who is he, who is Suguru protecting?

Why do we work so hard, why do our comrades die for a cheep ‘thank you?’

We if we evolved to protect the weak, then why don’t the weak just evolve like us?

oh, that’s right. They can’t. That’s because they’re Monkeys.

**

“What’s this?” Gojo said, trying to keep as calm as he possibly could. “These girls are at fault for the incident!” A villager said, “you should've seen them, using their magic!” The humid atmosphere was heavy making it difficult to breath. He rubbed his head trying to calm his headache.

“It's not them.” Gojo snapped. “I got rid of the curse already.” The villagers ignored him and continued, “please exterminate them!”

There were two young, beaten girls inside a cage. They looked beyond terrified. The two villagers behind him making excuses, calling the captured children killers. “Please kill them, they do not deserve to keep on living.”

”I want to keep living-“

All of his past doubts, his anger was released in that moment. The words connecting Riko to the small caged girls, was to much. Years worth of confusion and anger was released. And he felt so relieved.

“Let's take a step outside, okay?”

Gojo Satoru rose into the air, floating above, a grin on his face, laughter slipping out. The moon shone on him, he looked as if he was lying on air, trying to reach the moon. Then he confidently said, eyes wide feeling proud feeling as if all his anger was being lifted from his shoulders, his worry and anxiety suddenly gone. He spoke, shouting it out for everyone to hear;

“Curse technique, hollow: purple!”

A flash of purple light, destroying everything in its path. Maniacal laughter followed, Satoru Gojo floated above the burning village. “Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one!”

Kento Nanami report on Curse User : Satoru Gojo

“In 2007, I met Satoru Gojo.” Nanami said, “he was loud, arrogant and frankly obnoxious. He was a good person though, I’m surprised it turned out like this.”

“Gojo thought highly of himself, it makes sense. He is the strongest.”

“Im worried for the future, Gojo is the strongest, he can easily kill us all '' Nanami breathed, “I wonder what his motive is, if he even has one that is.”

Shoko Ieiri report on Curse User : Satoru Gojo

“In 2006, I met Satoru and Geto in Jujutsu high. You already know this, but Gojo was born with such a technique he had a bounty on his head when he was born. And he was worth a lot of money, let me tell you that.” She said, tapping ashes into her ash tray. “Incredibly rich, and incredibly powerful, from riches to strength he had it all. He was looked at as a god. And frankly he believes it too.”

“I remember it very clearly, I sat in the classroom with Geto-san. Talking, and introducing ourselves, then the tall ‘illustrious’ Gojo Satoru kicked the doors open, shouting; “Gojo Satoru, don’t get in my way and I won't get in yours! Although, from what I'm seeing, you all dont seem like the kind of people who I’d care about.” He pushed Geto out of the way and sat in the front.” Shoko had a faint smile on her face, “Then guess what Geto did,” She laughed.

“Geto Suguru, a literal nobody, yelled at the man who had it all, scolded the teen with the fame, power, money, and strength. Scolded the self proclaimed god. The person who was compared to a god! First for Satoru, let me tell you that.”

“Satoru and Geto fought on the first day of school. Of course, Geto lost miserably but he still was determined to get Satoru punished in some way for talking down on us.”

“Satoru was intrigued.” She breathed, “he was enamored.”

Shoko laughed, “It's like he was in love. In the following year, I noticed Satoru drifting closer to Geto, wanting to go on more missions with him. I also noticed that Satoru’s god complex wasn't too bad when Geto was around. By our second year, Satoru wasn't as annoying.” She breathed a puff of smoke from her lips, “If i'm being honest, I’m very sad he's gone. But equally afraid.”

She paused. “That's my report.”

Suguru Geto report on Curse User : Satoru Gojo

“I don’t believe you.” Suguru shouted, “this isn't funny!”

Suguru slammed his hands on the desk, “why are you making me give a report about Satoru? He- He didn’t do anything! It's a misunderstanding.”

“This is being written down, Geto.” Suguru shook his head, “fine! I don’t care! What’s the point of the reports?!” Yaga sighed. “If it was anyone else we would just announce it and look for him, but this is Gojo we're talking about.” Yaga said, “Gojo has the power to wipe us out, so give us the damn report, Geto.”

Suguru sat down, scowling at Yaga.

“In 2006, I met Satoru. He was annoying and arrogant, and he had an extreme god complex.” Suguru huffed, “he insulted Shoko, so on the first day I fought him.”

“Shoko-san says you lost,” Yaga said, flipping through his papers. “She said you scolded Gojo, then he became intrigued with you, and quote; he was enamored.”

Suguru looked at the ground, “I wouldn't describe it like that,” He said, “I just wanted to teach him a lesson, and I guess he ended up finding me interesting, because I schooled him, probably. I wouldn't use the word, enamored. It sounds like he was in love with me.”

“You sound angry,” Yaga said. “Why?”

“Why?” Suguru said, rubbing his temples, “Im angry at myself, I knew Satoru wasnt doing well… yet I left for fucking Okinawa.” Yaga patted him on his shoulder, “it's not your fault.” Yaga said. “You did what you were meant to, Gojo made his choice.”

Suguru sighed, “I guess.” He muttered.

“Okay, that’s all I needed from you.” Yaga said, “thanks again, Geto-san.”

Suguru rose from his chair, bowed quickly before leaving.

**

Shoko lit her cigarette, she stood in the smoking area. She was always amused when she saw elders looking shocked when they saw her smoke, it made sense. She was only a senior in high school. Then out of the corner of her eye, she saw a tall very noticeable figure approached her. She couldn’t help but smile. “Well if it isn't the criminal.” Shoko jokes. “Hey.” Satoru said, a wide smirk on his face. “Any chance that the accusations are false?” Shoko asks.

“No.” Satoru said, “I feel free.”

“That's nice.” Shoko laughed, “Now tell me, why’d you do it?”

“I'm going to make a world without non-Jujutsu Sorcerers.” Gojo said. Shoko laughed again, “I don't understand.” Gojo nodded, “I didn't expect that anyone would,” Gojo continued, “I’m not a child, I want to make my own choices now.”

“To me,” Shoko sighed, “it seems pretty childish to believe that nobody will understand you.”

Shoko flipped her phone open and started to text Suguru. “Suguru?” She said through the phone, “I found Gojo, yeah Shinjuku.”

Gojo waved goodbye to Shoko, she waved back and he walked through the streets. He made it a few blocks down, then he heard Suguru saying his name.

“Satoru!” Suguru said, trying to keep his voice calm, “explain yourself.”

“Shoko already told you? Didn’t she?” Satoru said, grinning at his friend. “That's it, I’ll kill them all.”

“Satoru!” Suguru said again, this time louder. “There's no point in killing everyone! The world would become empty and it's practically impossible-”

“Irritating.” Satoru turned around and stared him in the eye. “Are you holding me back because you know I can do it?”

“What?!” Suguru felt furious, “I’m telling you not to because it's pointless! You're the strongest! Use your strength for good, Satoru!”

“Am I called the strongest out of adoration? Or am I called the strongest out of fear?” Satoru said, his eyes narrowing.

“My foolish ideas can become reality because I am the strongest , is that why you're stopping me, out of disdain, Suguru?”

Satoru turned around and started to walk away, “go ahead, try to kill me.” Suguru heard a small laugh, “We both know you're not strong enough for it.”

**

Suguru walked down a somewhat street. He looked at the paper in his hand. He had done some digging on the man that killed Riko Amanai: Toji Fushiguro. Once Toji Zen’in.

And surprisingly, the kid had a son. A son!

“Excuse me?” Suguru said smiling to a young girl.

This girl was Tsumiki, Fushiguro’s step-sister. The report he managed to get from the Zen’in clan… difficulty, was quite helpful. The boy inherited the family technique and was to be sold off, Suguru wanted to stop that for two good reasons; His sister, she was not fortunate to get a technique and would not survive the Zen’in clan. Two, it’s the Zen’in clan. Approaching the girl is probably the better option, she seemed a lot more friendly, along with that, if I gain her trust I might gain Fushiguro’s quicker.  Suguru previously speculated.

“Yes?” She said smiling. “You have a step-brother named Megumi? Correct?” Suguru said. Tsumiki nodded, “I do, are you looking for him?” Suguru nodded. “Please come in when you wait.” She said, “I insist.” Suguru smiled and entered their home. It was pretty bare, but doable.

“Who are you? Has Megumi gotten into trouble again?” Tsumiki asked as they both sat. “No, your brother isn’t in trouble. My name is Suguru Geto, I go to school at Jujutsu High.” He said, it's fine to be honest to her, her brothers’ going to go there anyway. “I see.” She said, “What business do you have with Megumi?”

“Who the hell are you?” A young boy said, storming into the house. So this is Megumi, he does look like his father… wow!  He shivered, his body suddenly reminded himself of when Toji almost shredded him to pieces.

“Suguru Geto,” he introduced himself again. “Third year at Jujutsu High.” He said, smiling softly to the boy. Megumi huffed and threw his bag down. “What do you want?”

“You’ve seen things, right? It's normal around your age.” Suguru said, Megumi’s eyes widened. “You have two choices, you go to the clan your father belonged to, or I can help you get out of that mess.”

“What? And what's in it for Tsumiki?” Megumi asked. “Ah, well the clan is to learn how to get stronger. I can tell you more later, you’d do well in the Zen’in clan. But your sister, she wouldn't. If I’m being honest, I don’t recommend it.”

Megumi scowled, “no way.”

Suguru nodded, “okay.” he said. “My job is done. Hey Megumi,” he said as he stood up. “Get strong okay?” He smiled gently at the first grader and he started to leave.

“Wait!” He heard Megumi shout from behind him. “Will you-”

“If you ever need my support or anything, just go to Jujutsu High.” Suguru then walked back and handed the boy a card. “Or just call me.” Suguru waved and walked away. The young boy stood dumbfounded, weird-out by the strange man.

Satoru quietly watched from above.

He’s always been good with kids. He thought. In the five minutes he talked to him, the brat trusts him now. Ha… Suguru, your truly incredible.

wasn't able to kill him. Wasn't able to realize it. Wasn't able to catch up. Wasn't able to stop him.”
