Chapter Text
Blue and red lights were flashing, sounds were blurred and mixed together. Midoriya tried to call for help, but nothing came out. For one second his hearing returned to normal and heard his mother screaming his name along with others. He didn’t think about her being worried about him, no, he thought that his mother seeing him this disgraceful is just pitiful. He tried to feel around but all he could feel in a warm liquid that had been poured around his body, he wondered what it was. He tried to hold his hand in front of his face, and succeeded but almost immediately his hand fell, and felt as if all of the strength in his arm had suddenly disappeared, right after he saw the blood. He closed his eyes for one second to blink but was unable to open them once again. Then he saw himself and Bakugou playing together as children. Then other memories, like how he met Uraraka and how he almost face planted. He remembered good memories, bad memories, memories that he would laugh about and some that he would cry about.
Until he thought “why, why am I remembering this.” He saw himself slowly growing up. Memories from his childhood up until where he is now, about to finish his second last year of school at UA. And then Black. He wandered around this dark abyss for what felt like hours, maybe even days, with no end in sight. During this time, he had a lot of time to himself, to think. And realized why he saw these things, when people die, they say their lives flash before their eyes. Maybe that’s what happened to him, all he was doing was fighting a weak villain, how did he die. And decided to think back on it.
“Today you guys are going to do some real hero work, it’s been a while, I know, but today you guys each have to go defeat a villain. Before you engage in fighting make sure they aren’t too dangerous before you start to fight them. Be safe.” Aizawa said. After he finished talking the class continued to look at him expectantly, expecting him to finish with just kidding I don’t care if you get hurt as long as you don’t die or something, But nothing. Then the class was off.
Midoriya was just walking around the streets, expecting some crime to appear, but no luck. HE gave up after another 20 minutes, and called a hero agency and asked if there were any robberies happening near him that he could take care of. It was a stupid idea, 4/5 said no. The fifth one was the Endeavour agency, and since he used to do his work-study there, everyone knew him. They said, “Hello Deku, there’s a robbery at Mitsukoshi department store, make your way there, it’s just a block away…” Midoriya dropped the phone from his ear and ran there using full cowling.
In 5 minutes, he got to the store and found a villain with a quirk that made his appearance change. He was fluffy and had a long neck, was all white, and was about 7 feet tall. He had a black hoodie that attempted to hide his identity but was failing miserably and a mask that covered his around his eyes. He also had a huge white bag filled to the brim with things. He stook out like a sore thumb and was obviously the one robbing the store. He looked like he came straight out of a movie.
He looked weak enough, surely Midoriya could fight him and win. “I’ve fought some villains a lot stronger than him and survived, what’s the worst that could happen?” he thought foolishly. He walked over to the robber calmly and slowly and pinned him un against the wall, ready to tie him up with a rope.
Then, his danger sense went off. He looked the villain up and down, but nothing. He looked around everywhere, but everyone was staying far away, and nobody had a gun on them. He continued to tie up the villain, more cautiously now, because his danger sense was still going off. When he felt a sharp pain in his upper back, that made him fall into the villain, feeling as if he had lost all of his strength. He used what felt like all of his strength to turn his head and look at his back. There was a knife sticking out of his back.
Just as he turned his head, the villain whom he was leaning on shoved him off by throwing himself forward, hoping that he wouldn’t fall, he succeeded, and Midoriya was thrown to the ground. As Deku was falling, he could feel his consciousness slipping from his grasps, unable to attain it.
He didn’t know how long he was out, but he remembered being awake for such a little amount of time. Then he closed his eyes, and he was transported to this abyss of a dimension.
He kept walking, but after not long, he saw a light, a light that shined bright than the sun, but was a far distance away. His walked turned into a run and his boredom turned into excitement and curiosity. “What is this strange light?” he thought to himself. He could feel himself getting closer and closer, and the light shined brighter and brighter, that he almost had to squint. The light was coming from something, or someone? There was a figure, with long, light blue hair that flower all the way down to their knees. They had huge white wings that glowed, more than the rest of them. They had very pale skin, that had no blemishes on it. You could only describe this creature as an angel or god.
Midoriya slows to a walk, once he’s only a few meters away from him admiring them. Once he could see his face, Midoriya turned bright red, “I think this may be my gay awakening” he thought. He was a very handsome man, with a face that people would describe as more feminine, but he was clearly a male.
When the god spoke, it almost seemed as if there were speakers from all around that was just projecting his voice. “Hello, my name is Nalis, it is a pleasure to meet you.” He said with a smile while putting one hand over his heart and doing a small bow. “Hi… My name is Izuku Midoriya.” He said quietly, then asked a little bit louder “Where am I?” Nalis almost laughed, thinking it was a joke “You are in the area between life and death, I have watched over you and I would be willing to give you another chance at life, with my aid. Unfortunately, you won’t be resurrected in the same world as your previous life. It is your choice.” He said, completely serious.
Midoriya almost couldn’t believe it, he was both dead and he could be reincarnated, but he could never see his friends again. “Then I accept that offer, but what do you mean with your aid?”
“You will see, sir.”
A gust of brightly colored wind started to circle both Nalis and Midoriya. It started to sweep them up and they were both spinning in the spiralling vortex.
Then the rainbow tornado suddenly vanished, along with Nalis and Midoriya.
