The Song Of The Sun

Summary:

“…and just how the moon waits for the sun, I’ll be waiting for you, even if my heart and mind had already forgotten you.”

Maybe it’s something surreal or stupid to believe in wills and rebirths.
Why is it not stupid in this world?

Even if their minds had forgotten who they truly are, their hearts latched as soon as they felt their souls.

Notes:

-One Piece Fanfic.

Chapter Text

PROLOGUE

''Who does not know one's own history is sentenced to repeat it.''

"Over five centuries ago, in a time when mentioning gods was a taboo in barren lands of dreams, the world struggled in constant chaos: war, slavery, food scarcity, and discrimination. Yet, on some islands, life flourished unhindered, where children grew without fear and elders rested in peace, though caution reminded them that evil lurked in every corner.

Dark beings reveled in chaos, usurping the fundamental right to exist. Desperation led people to plead for salvation, a longing turned into an unattainable dream: to be free.

However, the land, sky, and sea heard their prayers. One day, a young man with white hair, like the sun's heart of fire, and eyes red as polished rubies, emerged unexpectedly. This being radiated a joy that seemed out of place in this world, bewildering those who knew him.

He wasn't just a young man with uncommon characteristics; he possessed unparalleled abilities. He could shape his body at will, matching the size of a giant or transforming into a legendary creature with wings and fiery breath. He played with clouds as if they were beds, manipulated the size of things, and created wonders with the white fire he carried. He was the embodiment of freedom.

His presence, while perplexing the world, also sparked laughter in his wake. With each journey, the islands shrouded in darkness regained their vitality, returning joy to the world.

This young man gained the appreciation and gratitude of the people, who, thankful for the prosperity, light, and freedom he had brought, worshipped him as the Sun God. However, the title of god didn't please him: "I'll just do what I want," he replied.

As he continued his travels, he made loyal friends who accepted him as he was, whether he was a god or just an exceptional human. Alongside his friends, they decided to establish a home on a large island, giving rise to the Great Kingdom of all races, where all creatures lived in peace as equals.

Despite their efforts, darkness persisted, threatening the realms distant from the Great Kingdom. Aware that he couldn't face the vastness of the sea alone, he sought his friends' help in an unexpected meeting.

On a magnificent table, he arranged various fruits, confusing his friends. He explained, "All of this became reality because of you, but evil still persists. Out of love and faith in you, I give you a part of myself in these fruits; it will be your decision to take them or not."

He didn't need to explain further. With determination burning in their crimson eyes, his friends took the fruits. From that day, the course of the world changed completely. These fruits granted each one a gift, an ability beyond imagination, with the condition that they wouldn't be used to destroy but to protect and fight for those who couldn't protect themselves.

Thus, the Clan..." Snoring interrupted the room where the old man told the story, hoping the legacy would endure through generations. However...

"Brat!" he shouted.

The child woke up confused, while others silently laughed at what happened, except for a dark-haired young man who rolled his eyes.

"Pay attention or I'll read it all over again until you memorize it flawlessly."

Faced with the old man's threat, the child's skin prickled "What? No! It's incredibly boring."

"Then you better pay attention."
