freak the freak out!

Summary:

"So? Come on, Vega. I know that you love getting revenge."

"They didn't even do anything to me," Tori raises an eyebrow at her, taking another bite of her frozen yogurt. "They did something to you."

"They did do something to me," Jade drawls, scooting a little closer, planting herself between Tori's legs. "Don't you want to get revenge for your girlfriend? Your poor, helpless girlfriend? Some girls were mean to me, Vega. Don't you want them to suffer?"

Tori rolls her eyes, reaching down to thread her hand through Jade's hair. Jade does her absolute best to not close her eyes and lean into it, but it's a little too late for that, and she finds herself melting into Tori's touch despite herself. "I do want them to suffer," Tori agrees with a sigh.

(or, jade heavily enjoys watching her girlfriend, tori vega, brutally outshine all of her competition while Also getting her own revenge)

Notes:

i really am getting back into victorious LMFAO hopefully the spam isn't too bothersome AHAHA

i've had this saved for like. months at this point, but there were a few parts that just looked Wrong to me, but i managed to figure it out, and so here we are! this is technically a oneshot, but it could definitely be a part two, since there's hints of a "reward" >:) lmk if you would like to see me write that! and i might anyways, so be on the lookout for that :D

i had a lot of fun writing this! i always love the idea that jade adamantly denies having feelings for tori until they're dating, and then it's a complete 180 and she just Doesn't Shut The Fuck Up about tori and talks abt her 24/7 <3

anyways! i hope you enjoy, and thank you so much for reading!! :D

Work Text:

"How mean were they? Like, Jade level mean?"

Jade rolls her eyes, but Cat very quickly shakes her head. "No, but they were still pretty mean. And they banished us! Like Sikowitz banished me from his house! Remember? Do you remember?"

"Yeah, we remember," Jade sighs, putting her hand over Cat's mouth, pushing her back to the door. She crouches in front of Tori, resting her head on both of her hands. "So? Come on, Vega. I know that you love getting revenge."

"They didn't even do anything to me," Tori raises an eyebrow at her, taking another bite of her frozen yogurt. Jade feels bad that Tori had to watch Trina all fucking night, but Tori did specifically tell her to not stay, because she didn't want Jade to see how horrible she was going to get. As if Jade would care. Jade honestly kind of regrets it, even though Tori is quite literally covered in blood.

"Fine. Fine!" She moves her hand, and Jade resists the urge to whine. At least she successfully does that. "Fine, I'll go through with whatever you've got planned," Tori starts to stand up, reaching down to offer Jade a hand. "Wait, what about Trina?"

"Oh," Jade grins at her, happily taking Tori's hand to pull herself up. She kisses Tori's cheek, pulling out Beck's keys from her pocket, jangling them by Tori's ear. "I stole Beck's keys. Let's go right now."

"Let's," Tori agrees, though her arm is firmly wrapped around Jade's waist, unmoving. Jade isn't complaining. She smiles against Tori's lips when Tori decides to hold her there and properly kiss her. "Okay. Okay, I'm good to go. I do need to get this blood off of my arm. Like, soon. I don't want it to dry."

Jade snorts, taking Tori's hand in her own. "I think it's already dried, actually. You're gonna have to scrub it off. I can scrub it off for you," she offers, tilting her head to the side as she walks to Beck's car, glancing back to make sure that Cat is actually following them, which she is. "I have some industrial scrubbers."

"Scrubbers?" Tori questions. "What are scrubbers? And why do you have industrial ones? Jade," she sighs. "I'll let you scrub Trina's mouth blood off of my arm if you promise to use a wet washcloth. And nothing else!" Tori adds, staring at her. "Those are my conditions."

"Hm," Jade only lets go of Tori's hand to get into Beck's car. She immediately starts it, barely waiting for Cat to close her door before she starts to back out. She does not want any of them realising what she's doing, much less figuring out that they could probably make it to Beck's car in ten seconds if they ran fast enough. Though Jade is pretty confident that she could make it about fifty miles down in ten seconds. "I want a kiss."

"Now?"

"Yes," Jade closes her eyes and smiles for a second when Tori immediately leans over, kissing her on the cheek. "And then again when we get back to my house."

Tori beams at her, leaning back in the passenger seat. "You got it, babe."

Tori does give Jade her kiss when they get back to her house, which she's appreciative of.

Jade cleans off her arm and then makes her sit down, ignoring Tori's protesting as she immediately starts to mess with her hair. "We're gonna make you a blonde," Jade beams at her, ruffling her hair a little. Tori scowls in the mirror, turning back to look up at Jade. "What? Don't look at me like that. You'll be fine. The entire point of this is to try and make you look ugly."

"Aw," Tori's scowl disappears, a little smile appearing on her face. "You said try. You don't think you can succeed?"

"Oh, no, I can," Jade reassures her, pausing when she sees Tori's face fall. "Wait, no. No, okay, hold on," she holds up her hands, quickly resting them on either side of Tori's head, kissing the top of her head. "Ignore that first sentence, I've got it. I don't think I can succeed," Jade beams at her, resting her chin on Tori's head. "Because you're very pretty and I would like to look at you regardless."

Tori rolls her eyes, but she's smiling again, so Jade would say she did a pretty good job at mitigating that situation. "Thanks so much, Jade," Tori smiles, reaching up to flick Jade's nose, which is so fucking rude, but Jade thinks that she probably deserves that for completely missing the incredibly obvious compliment that Tori put in front of her. "So, what else are we doing to me?"

"Making you blonde!" Cat giggles, and Jade lets her have that one, just this once. "And we're gonna put you in some clothes! That look bad!" Cat grins. "I have moths at my house, and sometimes, I let them eat the clothes that my Aunt Louise gives me!" She laughs, and Jade is incredibly impressed that Cat has a moth army, though Tori looks more horrified than impressed. "So they're real gross!"

"Yeah, I caught onto that," Tori sighs. "What else?"

"We're giving you glasses."

"I wear glasses," Tori scowls, narrowing her eyes into the mirror. "What the hell, Jade?"

"Cat's idea," Jade shrugs. "I like your glasses. Four-eyes."

"Okay, I guess that's a compliment. For you," Tori deflates. "Anything else?"

Jade pats the side of her face. "We're putting a mole right there. Okay. I'm gonna go find that wig. Cat, how about you put that mole on Tori's face? You did actually bring the moth clothes, right?"

"I did! I did bring the moth cl—"

"Don't call them that!" Tori glares at Jade, even though it was Cat who said it last, jabbing a finger at her. "Jade, you never told me that I had to wear moth clothes! What gives?"

"I didn't know!" Jade laughs, holding up her hands. "Would you rather have Trina's mouth blood or moth clothes?"

"Neither!"

"Well, you're gonna get one," Jade informs her, very sympathetically patting Tori's head. "It's fine, you're gonna be taking everything off when you get on stage, anyways. You just have to look super awkward for a few seconds to lure them into a very false sense of security. And then you can fuck them up so hard that they die of shock. God, I hope that they die of shock."

"I'm sure they will, when the moths come out of the clothes I'm wearing," Tori mutters, heaving another sigh. "I expect you to make this up to me tonight," Tori points at her again, raising an eyebrow. "I'm getting a reward for this."

"Am I not reward enough?" Jade asks, pouting. Tori stares at her, saying nothing. "Okay, fair enough," Jade shrugs, kissing the top of Tori's head. "You'll be fine, Vega. You'll get something in return, don't worry," she beams, ruffling Tori's hair one last time. "Oh, yeah. You're singing Freak the Freak Out. You know that song, right?"

"No?"

"Well," Jade smiles at her, patting her shoulders, all very sympathetically and supportively. "Learn."

"Jade!"

But Jade is already gone, disappearing into her room to go and scavenge for that wig. She grins when she hears the sigh from Tori, glancing at Tori's shirt on her bed. She smiles a little more at that, taking a few seconds to reach out and hold it in her hands. It's been a while since she's thought about how long she's actually been dating Tori for.

Jade holds the shirt in her hands for a few seconds longer before she starts to move again, excited to watch her girlfriend ruin two women.

"Oh, come on!" Jade protests, crossing her arms against her chest. "At least pick someone who has a chance. That's not fair."

"You said we could pick anyone!" One of the girls, Jade has no idea what her name is, it's probably something dumb, disagrees. "And we want her! So deal with it! Hey! Ugly Betty! Get ready to sing!"

"Whatever," Jade mutters, going back to her table with Cat hot on her heels. She has to resist the urge to break the ugly bitch's nose for calling Tori ugly, but she does resist, fairly easily. If she broke her nose now, it'd just ruin the plan, and she thinks that Tori singing is hot, and so she's not going to ruin the plan. "Okay," Jade sits down, watching as Tori awkwardly shuffles her way up to the stage, shifting on her feet. "Does it worry you how good she is at this?" Jade asks, leaning towards Cat.

"She's an actress!" Cat beams, her head on her hands. "But it is kinda worrying. And sad."

Jade grins, tilting her head as she watches Tori just stand there, hands firmly placed in her pockets. She looks so out of place. Jade is incredibly aware that Tori is an actress, she's a great actress, but it's always fun to actually watch her act from the sidelines. Normally, Jade would be right up there with her, playing another lead or a supporting character or just playing something. But she's sat to the sidelines, sat in the audience, and it's a fun experience. "How shocked do you think they're gonna be?"

"Hopefully a lot," Cat says. "Maybe they'll cry!"

"Oh," Jade grins even more, letting out a breathless sigh. "We can really only hope."

"Okay!" The stupid, weirdo DJ starts to talk. "We've got a bit of a competition goin' on tonight! Our stars of this place, Tara and Haley, have challenged this girl to sing! And we've got a bit of audience participation with it! You guys are gonna decide whoever has the best singing voice with your applause! Are you guys down for that?"

The audience claps, and Jade grins even more at the doubtful looks that are scattered around the room.

"Alright!" He continues. "What's your name, up there?"

Tori stares at him for a few seconds. "Louise Nordoff."

"Wow!" He stands there for another few seconds, grinning at the audience. Jade is so excited for them to get their shit kicked in. "That's a name! What do you wanna sing tonight, Louise?"

"Um," Tori shifts on her feet, swaying back and forth a little. "I'd like, to, um sing, uh.... Freak the Freak Out. Please."

"Are you...sure?" He asks. "That's a pretty intense tu—"

"I'd like to sing it now please!" Tori shouts, and Jade has to suppress her laugh, struggling harder than she thinks that she should.

"Okay! Okay!" The DJ backs off. "Let's give it up for Louise with Freak the Freak Out! Yeah!"

Jade resists clapping too loudly, not wanting to give away the plan. But she does clap, grinning as she looks up at Tori, watching her girlfriend continue to sway awkwardly from side to side, tapping her foot when the music starts to play. Tori's movements are stiff, incredibly awkward, and it's such a stark contrast from how she normally moves. Tori is incredibly fluid, she moves like water. Jade has watched her dance a million and one times, she's paid such close attention to Tori's movements. It feels wrong to see her so rigid, but she's doing an excellent job of selling it.

Tori takes a deep breath in, and Jade is nearly bursting with excitement, about to start screaming when Tori finally starts to sing.

And it's so fucking hot hearing her actual voice, though it is a little jarring to see stiffly raise her arm up, pointing over to Jade a few seconds in. It takes her a few seconds before she's reaching up, throwing off the ugly, moth-bitten cap that Cat gave her, tossing it very firmly at the dumbass DJ.

The cheering starts in a second later, gasps of surprise and of excitement, when Tori throws off her wig, grabbing the mic as she sings, grinning widely.

God, she's so fucking hot.

Jade cheers the loudest, clapping so hard and loud that she's surprised that anyone can actually still hear Tori. She tones it down a bit, just to make sure that everyone actually can still hear her, not wanting to ruin this moment by not being able to control her excitement. Tori flicks off the mole, tosses her glasses to the side, and starts to shimmy out of Cat's horrifyingly moth-bitten cardigan, throwing it directly onto the table of the stupid dumbasses who fell for the most obvious trap in the world.

And fuck, Jade is so in love with her.

"I try to talk to you, but you never even knew, so what's it gonna be? Tell me, can you hear me?" Tori leans into the mic, her hands hitting the actual mic stand in tune with the beat, and holy shit, Jade is going to make out with her harder than she ever has in her entire life after this. "I'm so sick of it, you're attention deficit, never listen, never listen—"

Tori marches off of the stage and onto the little mini platform, leaning down to get closer to the audience before she spins on her heels, marching right back to the stage, so in her element that it's taking all of Jade's willpower to not jump over this table and get up there with her to kiss her on spot. Jade is literally shaking, she can feel herself doing it, so goddamn excited that her body can't even take it.

Jade cheers even louder when Tori walks right back to the platform, throwing her head back, shaking her head to get her hair out of her face a second later. She makes eye contact with the dumb idiots who decided to kick them out of the place, giving an incredibly exaggerated shrug, raising her hands up when she does so. They look horrified, and Jade is ecstatic.

She's the first one out of her seat to start dancing along to Tori's hot ass voice, though Cat quickly follows, and before she knows it, she's seeing the rest of the audience jump up, other than two people. She grins, making eye contact with Tori, unable to resist. It's not like it distracts Tori by any means — Tori is so good at what she does, that even when she looks at Jade, marching right on over to her, running her finger underneath of Jade's chin to tilt up her head, she still keeps singing, she still keeps moving.

And then, fucking Tori Vega, as soon as she sings "freak the freak out", hops onto the girls' table

Jade nearly swoons and collapses to the ground right then and there.

Tori is only there for maybe ten seconds, but it's enough to really rub it in. She hops back onto the platform, leaning closer to Jade and Cat. "Alright! Come on!" She laughs, holding out her hand. Jade very happily takes it, letting Tori pull her up onto the platform.

She'd let Tori pull her anywhere.

And, Tori, in her infinite wisdom, kisses Jade right in front of everyone, which Jade really likes.

They're only up there until the song starts again, and then they're jumping back down, but Jade doesn't mind at all. This is Tori's performance, and she is so okay with letting her have it. Tori clearly is enjoying the spotlight, too, given how she's made her way over to the bar stools and counter, hopping up on them to continue her performance. And not a damn person stops her, because who the fuck could even try, really?

Tori is so goddamn bright and persuasive and she just lights up every room that she goes into. Every single time she performs, whether it be singing or dancing or acting, she stuns the entire audience. Not a damn person could stop her even if they wanted to, which couldn't even happen in the first place, because Tori Vega is so good at captivating people without even trying to.

Jade would know.

She watches, stunned, as Tori finishes the song by dropping to her knees on the very last drop, her chest heaving as she grins, clearly exhilarated. Tori always gets that look on her face after she's performed, a mix of excitement and adrenaline and happiness, and god, Jade loves seeing it.

The entire audience bursts into applause and cheering, though they were doing that anyways, and Jade knows that she's the one screaming and clapping the loudest. As soon as Tori's back on her feet, Cat charges her, rushing up onto the platform to hug her, squealing the entire time. Jade quickly follows after, grinning at Tori. She reaches her hands up into the air, and Tori picks up on it immediately, intertwining her hands with Jade's. That's all Jade needs, and she quickly presses their bodies together, kissing Tori as hard as she can.

"Woah, woah, wait!" Haley's stupid dad barges onto the stage, taking Tori's mic from her. Jade is more than willing to kill him.

"Wait for what?" She sneers at him, not placated by Tori's hand on her shoulder. She is so ready to kill him.

"The crowd hasn't voted yet!" Haley squeaks from down below them, and Jade nearly laughs. Oh, she cannot wait to see these girls destroyed.

"Alright! All those for Haley and Tara!"

The only people who clap are Haley and Tara themselves, which is so pathetic that Jade does laugh, earning her three sharp glares that she is more than happy to ignore.

"And— and...all those for Louise Nordoff?"

Jade screams as loud as she can, clapping directly into Haley's dad's ear, cheering so loud she hopes it shatters his stupid old man eardrums. She grabs Tori's hand, throwing it up into the air, grinning when Cat does the same with her other hand. The entire place erupts into cheering and screaming and shouting and clapping, and Jade has never been so happy to see an audience cheer and clap, holy fuck.

Haley and Tara are nowhere to be seen, so Jade kisses Tori again, all of her nerves on fire.

"Let's go back to my place," Jade whispers against her lips. "Now."

"Deal," Tori laughs, kissing her again. "We should do a duet here."

"Gladly. Not right now."

"No," Tori laughs again, already hopping off the stage, holding out her hand for Jade to take. "Not right now. I want my reward.""

Jade takes her hand, so insanely happy to be dragged out of a room for once.
