It started in their second year of UA, there was always tension between the two and everyone knew it but since they were dealing with an ongoing war for so long, they never found the time to address said tension. After the war ended things started going back to the way they were before and that meant that the dual-haired boy and the class-problem child finally had time to talk about what was between them. Now in their third year of UA, the two have been officially boyfriends for a year or so now. Everyone in class A knows it and is supportive of their blossoming relationship. However, one of the boys forgets one crucial part of dating, just because your whole class knew before you told them doesn't mean your family will. Cue chaos at its finest with an oblivious Shoto and a confused Izuku.
It was Christmas week when Fuyumi came to pick Shoto up from the dorms after Shoto and the rest of class 1-A were released for Christmas break. She sat outside in the car as Shoto ran out to meet her in the UA parking lot. He swung open the door and he hopped inside her dark blue SUV.
“Hey Shoto, you ready to go home?” She asked as Shoto sat in the seat next to her clutching his backpack to his chest.
“Yes.” He said and she nodded to him in response. She shifted the car into reverse and ready herself to pull out when Shoto spoke again.
“Wait.” He called as he looked out the windshield with wide eyes as if he had lost his puppy.
“What?” She asked slightly concerned. “Did you forget something?” She said looking at the panicked boy.
“Yes, I’ll be right back.” He spoke before darting out of the car and towards the UA gates in front of them. As Shoto ran towards the gates he bumped into someone coming out of them. While Shoto was reaching into an open pocket oblivious to what was in front of him they walked into one another a brunch of the contents from the bag came spilling out, including pencils, notebooks, and other miscellaneous objects inside. Fuyumi thought about getting out to help but she noticed that the person he had bumped into was already on it so she let them be while she waited on her little bro.
The girl he ran into was a curvy girl with long raven-colored hair and beautiful long lashes. She smiled at the half-red half white-haired boy while saying something that looked like an apology even though it was mostly Shoto’s fault.
After they picked up everything that spilled out onto the sidewalk they stood up and awkwardly smiled at each other saying a few last words. The young girl's hands were clasped behind her back nervously as she spoke before she pulled out a small, gift-wrapped present from her purse and gave it to her brother. He didn’t smile much but seemed grateful. The Girl hugged him after that, and Fuyumi smiled at the sweet interaction. Then the Girl walked away leaving Shoto to brush off the dirt that accumulated on his uniform while scurrying around on the ground to pick up his stuff. He turned back towards the gate but as he went to take another step the person in question, he was looking for walked through it.
It was Midoriya Izuku, a green-haired boy she met a few times on the rare occasion when Shoto brought friends over. The bright boy gave Shoto a big smile and greeted him with a wave as he walked closer. They exchanged a few words before Shoto seemed to remember that he had something he wanted to give him.
He reached into his bag in the small pocket at the front, handing him a palm-sized box wrapped in red and white striped wrapping paper with a green bow on top. The young man smiled wider at that. His mouth moved rapidly in a way that Fuyumi was pretty sure was a thank you, before he too reached into his bag to pull out a shiny small, green-wrapped present with a red bow tied around it. Shoto stared at the gift for a bit longer before looking up at the ginning young man in front of him and then falling forward to hug him.
Fuyumi smiled at this; she thought it was so sweet that Shoto was making so many good friends after years of having none.
“I’m glad you’re making such good friends Shoto, you seem so much happier now,” Fuyumi commented as she looked at her flushed brother after he got back into the car.
“Yeah, I guess so,” he said as he stared down at the card she assumed came with the raven-haired girl's gift. She couldn’t read the full contents of it, but she saw a lot of X’s and O’s at the end.
“Cute.” She thought. “My little bro has a crush.”

Shoto got invited to go ice skating with his friends at a park a bit away from their house. Natsuo was busy and so was Fuyumi, so Shoto had to ask Touya if he could drive him to and back from the park when they were done. After a bit of coercing and a splash of bribery in the mix he finally got Touya to agree to drive him to the park.
Touya insisted on meeting his friends against Shoto’s many protests and consistent whining about “not embarrassing him”. They sat in the car for a few more minutes after arriving arguing over Touya's meeting and speaking to his friends before he left. Currently, Shoto seemed to be losing the argument. However, during the mist of their bantering, they heard a knock on the side of the car window on Shoto’s side.
Shoto turned his head quickly, startled by the sudden interruptance but his face soon fell into one of endearment. Touya looked at his brother incredulously because the boy rarely ever showed such blatant emotions on his face unless it was one of anger or annoyance, both of which Touya brought out in him often.
A boy stood outside their car with a wide grin, he had black hair, with green tips pulled into a high bun with a couple of curly wispy pieces flying out from the sides, his eyes were bright vintage green, and his smile; oh, his smile was so bright it could rival that of a boy Touya once met who had a quirk called Smile.
The quirk caused anyone who saw the boy to smile instantly by putting them in a state of euphoria causing a case of uncontrolled glee, Touya wondered idly if they were related.
He clasped his hands behind his back as Shoto rolled down the window, leaning slightly forward, in an almost flirtatious manner. But oh no, that can’t be right because Touya had heard Fuyumi talk with Natsuo in the kitchen while making dinner yesterday about Shoto having a crush on a young girl with raven hair by the name Yaoyorozu.
“Hello, Sho-chan.” The boy greeted.
“Hey, Izu,” Shoto said and to anyone else, it would seem almost apathetic in the way he said it but to anyone who knew him, Shoto showed a genuine amount of fondness in his words.
“Oh hello.” The young man greeted while leaning in a little farther to see the driver of the car, smiling brighter as he saw who it was.
“Hi,” Touya says in his gruff voice that sounds like someone who‘s been chain-smoking for 20+ years.
Touya looks at the boy before turning to his brother, silently questioning him if he is going to exit the vehicle anytime soon. Touya would have gotten out with him, but he thought maybe; just this once he wouldn’t embarrass his younger brother in front of this boy. Touya just had the feeling this was the right thing to do at this moment.
After Shoto got out Touya peeled out of the icy parking lot, his brother rolling his eyes at his antics then grabbing the hand of his boyfriend as they made their way toward their group of friends all gathered around the park on the frost-covered grass a bit away from the ice ring.
When Touya came back to pick his younger brother up he, saw him standing a little bit away from the green-haired boy but closer to a girl with raven hair. His brother and the girl watched an interaction between the boy from earlier and a girl he had never seen before with pink dreed locks and mechanical gloves on. She was chasing the boy who he was almost positive name was Midoriya Izuku running around the frosty park, when she finally caught up, she tackled him to the ground with no regard for his personal space leaning over him and screaming something about making him babies.
“Huh, that must be his girlfriend, damn it Fuyumi was right then.” Touya thought before he leaned out the window to call out for his bro.
“HEY SHOTO! HURRY UP OR WE’LL BE LATE TO YOUR DOCTOR’S APPOINTMENT FOR THAT RASH ON YOUR-” Touya was abruptly cut off by a layer of ice that covered the entirety of his car making him cuss up a storm at his brother who he could no longer see and could no longer hear through the ice-covered windows. If he could see him, however, he would have seen how his dual-haired brother kissed his green-haired companion on the lips before leaving him to go back to his asshole brother. Nor would he see the face of contemplation Shoto wore as he Planned his brother's suspicious demise that would be occurring shortly. RIP Touya Todoroki.

Rei Todoroki was cooking a bowl of Mizutaki when her youngest son came into the kitchen one evening after she was pretty sure he had just gotten off the phone with a friend. She could hear him minutes before as sounds of giddy conversations and muffled voices echoed through the kitchen that sat right below his room.
“Hey, mom?” Shoto said in a questioning tone.
“Hmm, yes honey?” She said in such a loving tone only a mother could speak in.
“I was wondering, can I invite Izuku to hang out tomorrow?”
“Well, I and your father are going to be on a business trip for 2 days so it will be just you two but as long as you promise to behave and no more than a few close friends over while we are gone then I’m fine. with it” She spoke.
“Oh ok, I didn’t think he was allowed to stay the night, especially when you guys are gone, I just thought he could come over for a few hours, but since you’re okay with it I’ll ask him if he wants to do that instead,” Shoto said.
“Oh no honey it’s fine I know the boy, he seems like a very well-mannered young man, and I am happy you guys are hanging out, besides your seventeen now so I think having people over while we are gone isn’t that big of a deal, but just to be sure though I’ll check with your father while you call Midoriya back.”
“Okay thanks,” he said before exiting the kitchen.
Rei could hear her son calling the boy from the living room asking him if it was ok if he came over and that his mom was fine with him staying the night. There was a pause before Shoto said goodbye with a cheerful voice telling him he’ll see him tomorrow. However, the odd part of that was that he said before he hung up something that kind of sounded like “I love you” at the end. But she was probably just imagining it, right?
“My son has been coming so much out of his shell lately with his friends.” Rei thought.

Natsuo and Shoto have been becoming a lot closer in the last few months. It started when Shoto called him one evening while he was at college after Christmas break asking him what he does when he messes up and has to apologize to his girlfriend for something.
Natsuo was quite surprised that Shoto even had a girlfriend, but he was also surprised that he came to him for advice. After that, the two would sometimes call and talk about relationship issues or advice, or just casual things going on in their lives like school and whatnot. This made Natsuo very happy because he finally felt like he was connecting with his little brother who was the sibling he was the least close with if he was being honest.
Recently Natsuo was called by his brother asking him if he would help take him shopping for Valentine's gifts. Natsuo had never been so happy in his life, his brother wanted him out of all people to help him look for something for his girlfriend; whom he has sadly yet to meet but all in due time he guesses.
“So, what are you looking for exactly,” Natsuo asked as they passed another shop full of things, he thought a girl would like. Such as fruity soaps and perfumes, bath bombs and sugar scrubs, makeup, etc… So when they passed the third shop full of all the things, he had gotten his girlfriend in the past and she seemed to love he started to question Shoto’s boyfriend abilities.
“A sweatshirt of some sort,” Shoto said plainly.
“Oh, that’s a great idea, girls love it when they get hoodies from their boyfriends,” Natsuo said surprised at the good idea Shoto had for a gift.
“Girls, huh I don’t know what they want, but I think this will do,” Shoto said confused at his brother's choice of words. This wasn’t the first time he had said something as peculiar as referring to Izuku as a girl, but he figured maybe Natsuo just thought that Izuku was like the girl in the relationship or something weird like that, or maybe he became confused sometimes by them both being guys; he wasn't sure.
“Yeah, I think something hero merch would be nice but nothing All Might, I don’t think I could buy a single hoodie that he doesn’t have yet if it's All Might merch,” Shoto said as he rounded another corner on the sidewalk. As they did, they passed a shop of what looked to be a hero merch clothing store.
“Huh that’s weird, he referred to his girlfriend as he, or maybe this is some kind of friend's Valentine thing. I hear kids' do stuff like that sometimes.” Natsuo thought as they went inside the store.
After they left the store, Shoto noticed that he still had a bit of money left over so he asked his brother after purchasing the limited Earaserhead hoodie they happened to come across in the clearance section on their way out. Natsuo suggested a card and some chocolates and Shoto had to agree that chocolates and a card were a good idea since Izuku was not only sentimental but also had a sweet tooth.
After they were done shopping Shoto thanked his brother for helping him as he was dropped off at the dorms excited to give Izuku his gifts on Valentine's which was tomorrow.

Izuku and Shoto had decided to work with Endeavor at his agency for their internships this year. Endeavor noticed how well they worked together in the field; it was like they knew exactly what the other needed or was thinking before either had to voice it. Good, he needed smart people like that working for him, this world needed strong heroes like them to show they could have some camaraderie with other heroes, unlike a hot-headed blonde he only ever had the displeasure of meeting once.
Endeavor liked the way the two worked together in the field, but outside the field was... well, a different story. The way they spoke to one another was unusual, to say the least, the boy named Izuku always called his son things like sweet or cute and Shoto always turned a bright shade of red when he did. Shoto on the other hand always got a little more hostile when the female clerk would very blatantly flirt with the green-haired hero in front of his son. Endeavor wasn’t a fan of his son's obvious jealousy of the boy and Midoriya's unnecessary teasing didn’t help the situation either, both were just a bit too immature, and he was determined to figure out how to fix that.
One day while the three were out on patrol a civilian came up to his son to ask for an autograph. If it were Endeavor's younger self, he might have ignored the civilian and drug his son along with him without a second thought. But he wasn’t that man anymore and he hadn’t been that man for a long time, so instead he watched as the girl with pastel pink hair cut in a short bob who was a whole foot shorter than his son, pulled out a notepad from her purse and ask for him to sign it.
Everything went pretty smoothly up until he handed her the pad back, this was when she asked him the most out-of-pocket question he could think of.
“Will you marry me?” She said as she bowed her head to him.
There was a long pause for a moment as Endeavor and Midoriya stared at the girl in shock, while Shoto just looked at her with an unreadable face as she bowed in front of him.
“Sorry, I’m already taken.” He said and Endeavor had to repeat what he just heard in his head as Shoto spoke. Surely, he wasn’t seeing anyone, because his son would have told him if he was. Wouldn’t he?
The girl left shortly after that in a hurry and close to tears. Right after she asked if he was truly fulfilled in his relationship and that she could make him happy if he gave her the chance. Let’s just say, she got rejected.
Endeavor for the rest of the time after that couldn’t stop thinking about who this mystery girlfriend was. If only he had looked at the two heroes behind him who were holding hands, then he would’ve known the truth.

It was spring break and Shoto was going home to visit his family, unfortunately, Izuku was going to be alone for most of the first night since his mom worked an evening shift at the hospital that day, so Shoto did what any good boyfriend would do, and invite him over for dinner at his house.
“Are you sure your family is ok with me joining you guys with no prior warning?” Izuku asked. As they walked down the sidewalk just outside the UA campus, they held hands as they swayed together to a toon only, they could hear.
“Yeah, I’m sure, anytime my mom and sister join each other in the kitchen we have food for days, so that won’t be an issue, my family loves you almost as much as I do so I’m sure they’ll be happy to have you over.” He said as they walked home from UA together. It was cool out as they walked under the early night stares, the sky not yet black and more of a dark shade of blue the half-moon shone down on them, and the stars twinkled in the early night sky.
Shoto walked Izuku through the front corridor of his house, no one knowing that they were home yet. They walked into the living room together where Shoto’s two brothers were sitting on the couch watching some kind of romance movie.
Natsuo and Touya heard footsteps from behind them and turned around to peer over the back of the couch to see who it was.
“Oh, hey Shoto,” Natsuo calls from the couch as he jumps over the back.” I didn’t know you were bringing company.” He says as he greets Izuku with a friendly smile. He finds it weird, extremely actually that the exact hoody he and Shoto got for his girlfriend together was the one Midoriya was wearing, but then he remembers that he thought maybe this was a friend Valentine or something weird like that, so he brushes it off.
“Well, I was going to be home alone for most of the night till my mom got off work, so Shoto invited me to stay for dinner. I hope I’m not intruding because if I am I can leave.” Izuku rambles.
“It’s fine.” The two boys cut him off at the same time.
“Mom and Fuyumi probably made too much food anyway so no worries,” Natsuo assures.
“Oh yeah, Shoto mentioned that would happen,” Izuku says as his eyes drift to the other boy sitting on the couch and greets him with a soft smile and a wave. “Oh, hello Todoroki-san.” He says to the oldest fire user beside Endeavor himself.
“Touya is fine there’s, too many Todoroki’s in this house to not make it confusing.” He says as he turns back toward the TV.
“Boys come help set up the dinner table,” Fuyumi calls as she enters the living room from the kitchen.
“Oh hello.” She says to Izuku who gives her a hello and a short bow in return. “Oh, no need for that, I’m glad Shoto felt welcome to invite a friend over. How about all of you help set up for dinner and wash your hands since Dad should be home any minute now.” She says as she walks back towards the kitchen through a big archway in the living room.
Izuku looks to Shoto silently questioning why Fuyumi would call him his friend and not boyfriend, Shoto just shrugs in response as they all walk through the archway and into the lavish kitchen where Ms. Todoroki and Fuyumi are working.
“Oh hello, Shoto.” His mom greets him, then her eyes wander to the boy standing next to her youngest. “Oh, you brought a friend that’s wonderful.” Izuku was going to say he wasn’t Shoto friend since that was the second time, he was called that tonight but right as he began to speak Endeavor called out to everyone from the front door informing them, he was home.
After he came into the kitchen, and everyone was acquainted they all sat down for dinner. As they ate Izuku decided he wanted more rice, but he would have to reach over Shoto to get it. So, he decides to ask that he pass it to him instead.
“Hey babe can you pass me the rice.” He says as he stares down at his empty bowl of food after looking at his boyfriend who grabbed the rice without missing a beat and passed him it.
Everyone at the table stopped what they were doing and stared at the two boys, they all were slowly processing everything as all the clues clicked into place from the last year. Suddenly there was a clang of chopsticks hitting the dish in front of Natsuo, he looked wide-eyed at the two boys with his mouth slightly open in shock because honestly out of everyone he should have known. The two look up to the white-haired boy across the table from them as they stare blankly at each other for a moment before anyone speaks.
"What's wrong?" Izuku asked genuinely concerned at everyone's mixed expression that sat at the table. "Did you guys also want rice?" He questions, scared that he somehow offended someone. Natsuo didn't respond to Izuku's question.
“Fuck you Touya!” Natsuo screeches and his mother tries to scold him for his language as he reaches into his back pocket, pulls out 3,000 yen, and throws it at him.
Touya the menace that he is only snickers evilly at the entire situation never once stopping from eating his noodles, slurping loudly contrasting with the eerily silence between all of them.
